Ok this might be an unpopular opinion but I have to take a stand. I’m cool with the boat boys ship cause it’s cute and all, but it’s like people are completely ignoring ethubs… guys ethubs is so deep… they team up in every series that it’s possible for them to team up in… like boat boys is fun but ethubs goes beyond space and time — they’re like madoka and homura, or like nick and jess, or like Adam and Eve…. guys…… I’m so normal………..

oh yeah 100%. immediate downward spiral even worse than during ggy because he would have improved a ton by then, but then it comes crashing down and he has to watch it happen. everybody would be going crazy in horrible states but I think tony would be on the front lines investigating any crumbs on what could have happened next to vanessa and freddy

this fic reminds me of the aquatics camp i went to where two of the counselors for our group were SUPER into each other and it was so so obvious and they had a ship name and everything and we would all speculate about it and then on the last day of camp my friend and i were leaving we saw them KISS behind the shed where they kept the boats. anyway

also lake day from ch 7 was basically the camp and the two counslers would just stare at each other the whole time 😭😭😭

ahhh i really try to keep things Flirty and Fun here, but i just wanted to lower the capitalization to flirty and fun for a moment, because. this is the second day in a row that i have full-on weepy cried irl over comments on my newest fic, and i really, really, really cannot thank you guys enough for the response to it from the absolute bottom of my heart.

fic writing brings me a lot of joy. it's both a creative outlet and a form of escapism. it's also a very intentional challenge i give my brain. yes, fundamentally i'm writing about two anime guys wanting to kiss sooo bad (because they should)—but inevitably i've put little bits of myself into my stories, as well. my little vulnerable insides that i sometimes struggle to look at directly. you know, regular artist stuff. it's hard not to, because all stories come from the heart (even fanfic).

i stopped writing for myself for many years, and i have only just returned to it this year for various reasons. the response from everyone has been absolutely overwhelming, even from day one. i'm not always the best at responding to messages or comments fast (or even at all, depending on the day) but i read everything. tags, bookmarks, ao3 comments, dms, inbox messages—all of it. i have screenshots saved in case anyone deletes anything. i go back and revisit things over and over again. every single kudos or like brings me joy.

i cannot overstress how much i love and cherish every single person who reads the stuff i've written. i'm a writer but there are literally no words big enough in the english language to express how you guys make me feel. all i can do is say thank you and keysmash and send lots of heart emoji memes... and hope i am getting the message across. but really, really thank you. from the bottom of my heart thank you. thank you, thank you, thank you.

at some point i mustve posted seat assignments for sonic characters but well i was thinking about it again. ive decided the best racing 8 you could make with sonics would be: tekno cox, shadow, espio, mighty, knuckles, amy, sticks, sonic, blaze

i was gonna say tails cox bc like. he's the strategist, OBVIOUSLY you put him in cox 🙄 but ermm no i dont think he has a cox temperment at all. the best coxswains are calm under pressure, good at multitasking, good at communicating, motivational, confident and can turn it on when it gets hot. tails is a little too in his own head to manage all that. i don't think he has what it takes. now tekno, she's good at keeping a level head and I think she'd get the right balance between motivational + sillay for her rowers vs bringing down the hammer when she needs them to pull.

shadow and espio stroke pair. shadow i think would just have a real good natural rhythm and espio would be able to match it well. mr perfectionist. i don't think theyd be the BEST company for a cox--any cox, tekno or no--but shadow could communicate well enough i think.

mighty and knuckles in the stern half of the engine room. just easy math.

amy has a perfect cox temperament i think so maybe on the side she could do that too but man i want her in the engine room so bad. bow half bc she seems like she'd want to enjoy the view and goof off a bit more. sticks as her pair partner bc honestly shes just the best match for amy and theyre good at hyping each other up. AND i think she could pull.

sonic HAS to be in bow pair. he's too much of a goofball to be near the cox and you just KNOW mr speed demon would rush the slide so he canNOT be allowed to stroke. BUT. goofball nature in mind, he cannot be sitting bow seat. uh uh, not enough control, not good enough at paying attention. now blaze is REALLY disciplined, i think she'd make an excellent bow seat. and as pair partners with sonic i think theyd bring the best out in each other. she gets to have a little fun back there with her friend and he gets pushed to really put in the effort.
