A father of two young children hopes a lawsuit will lead to more transparency and improve student outcomes in Baltimore's embattled public school system.
"I'm all for funding schools," Jovani Patterson, told Fox News. "However, you don't just keep giving money without investigation on where the money has gone, especially with the amount of corruption and misuse of funds that have taken place for years in Baltimore City."
Patterson and his wife allege the school system misused taxpayer funds, reported ghost students — children not actually enrolled — in order to gain more funding, falsified pupils' records to push failing students through to graduation and more. Their suit names Baltimore City School Board of Commissioners, city council and Mayor Brandon Scott as defendants.
"It's all about power and control," Patterson said of the school system. "There's a lot of money in education."
That's $1.62 billion a year in Baltimore City Public Schools, to be exact. Baltimore has the fourth-highest funded large school system in the nation, behind only New York, Boston and Washington, D.C. Charm City's school budget increased 16% this school year, according to the city.
All that money — approximately $21,600 per student — isn't adding up to better outcomes. Baltimore had the lowest graduation rate across Maryland during the last school year. At one high school, 77% of students read at an elementary or kindergarten level.
And in February, FOX45's Project Baltimore broke the news that 23 schools had zero students score proficient on a state math exam. The state then removed the data and re-uploaded a heavily-redacted version.
"I think that they're trying to hide that the public school system is in worse shape than we thought," a whistleblower who previously worked in the Maryland State Department of Education told Project Baltimore.
Patterson agreed, telling Fox News "there's clearly a cover-up going on here."
"There's clearly things that we see that they don't want the people of the public to know when it comes to educating our kids," he said.
The question is simple for Patterson: Should Baltimore City students receive a good education?
"If you believe the answer to that is yes, then you should be joined in with this lawsuit as well," he said.
Baltimore's education woes are uniting people across the political spectrum. Patterson made an unsuccessful bid for city council president as a Republican in 2020. But prominent civil rights attorney Ben Crump has joined his lawsuit.
"If you don’t get a quality education, often times you find yourself a victim of the school-to-prison pipeline," Crump told FOX45. "Hopefully, with this lawsuit, we can get it right and that way it can help make – not just Baltimore better – but it can help make cities across America better."
A spokesperson for Baltimore City Public Schools called the Pattersons’ lawsuit "meritless because it fails to identify a current controversy justifying judicial intervention" in an email to Fox News.
"Even if the plaintiffs’ lawsuit identified current concerns with City School policies or procedures, there is a robust local, state, and federal infrastructure to handle these types of issues," the spokesperson continued, adding that "City Schools stands ready to demonstrate our steadfast commitment to providing a quality education to all students."
The legal process could drag on for years, according to Patterson's attorney. A judge allowed the case to move into the discovery and deposition phase late last year after denying the city and school system's request to dismiss the suit.
But Patterson said he's in it for the long haul.
"Someone has to stay and fight," he said. "I met my wife here, [had] both of my kids here, I was born here, bought my first house here. I planted my flag. So I'm going to fight as long and as hard as I can."

Diabolik Lovers: Rebirth And Royalty Chapter 1
NA. Hello, first written post, I think hahaha. Well I decided to create a fanfic of Kino and my OC that I have been putting off for a LONG LONG time and probably after this chapter I will put it off again because university takes up time (Understand, please). But well, here is the first written chapter. Unfortunately Kino won't appear so soon because these first chapters focus on Carolyne adapting to the life of the ghouls, so, enjoy.
Chapter 1: The Day That Everything Ended
It was the rainy season in the valleys of Cochabamba, after the December holidays. It was the night of January 15, 2020 to be precise. A girl with blue hair and a silver streak was trying to walk as best she could. With a broken ankle and supporting herself with a grab stick, it was not a good strategy to wander through the valley at night, especially since she did not know the environment where she fell. The sounds of nocturnal birds such as owls singing or the sound of crickets and toads could also be heard, which was the only thing that accompanied the young woman in this thick darkness. The phone she had had no signal and the battery was running out. If only she could find the Cochabamba - Oruro highway and wait for a bus that could take her back to Cochabamba or to the nearest town for medical attention. But with each step she took, the young woman did not know if she was getting closer or further away from civilization. It was supposed to be a memorable reunion. Her brother Kevin was the one who came to visit from Miami to see the rest of the family and also to go to the funeral of their maternal grandmother who passed away in Cochabamba. Both Carolyne and Kevin traveled from La Paz and Miami respectively to go to the funeral. Both of their parents and maternal aunt were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Gomez brothers, who only had to board a flight from Cochabamba - La Paz that was supposed to take 30 minutes at the latest. The young woman began to remember everything that happened to get to the point where she is.
Let's go back a couple of hours, it was 6 in the afternoon at the Jorge Wilstermann airport. Both siblings were listening to music while waiting for the next flight that would take them to their family. Kevin was more of an electronic music fan, while Carolyne listened to a band called “Rise Against,” a band he became a fan of after playing one of their songs “Prayer of the Refugee” on “Guitar Hero 3” and the song “Re-education (Through Labor)” on “Guitar Hero World Tour.”
“Carolyne, could you pay attention for a moment?” Kevin asked the girl who was listening to the music.
“Of course I'm listening to you, am I paying a lot of attention to you?” Carolyne replied.
“Then tell me, which of the gifts are you going to give to the aunt and which is yours?” Kevin asked, somewhat annoyed.
“Auntie gets the necklace and I get the sweater?” Carolyne asked curiously, frustrating her brother in the process.
“It’s the other way around, kid,” Kevin said, annoyed.
“Oh, right, so that's it,” Carolyne replied.
“Oh, when will you change? You’re always in your own world. "Wake up, you're going to be a college student soon!" her older brother asked her.
Young Carolyne was a kind, quiet girl with few friends. She always liked to stay at home reading a fantasy book or a programming book, since the Academic Proficiency Test (APT) exams were just around the corner, which would determine Carolyne's future.
“Well, you are starting a new stage. You will take your exam for the college you want to go to, you will go to college at one of the best universities in Bolivia… And when you finish everything, we will do the paperwork for your American residency so that you have better opportunities in life.”
Indeed. Her brother moved to Miami as soon as he graduated from school, having been born there, and he took their mother with him to attend residency. All that was left was to save a lot and for Carolyne to finish her degree so that she could have a prosperous life. It seemed like the perfect plan when…
Two people were talking at a distance, they were the pilot and the traffic control. The traffic control man warned that a small radar was not working, but if the flight was wanted it could depart calmly, it was only a matter of visual planning. With that in mind, the pilots thought it was a better idea for the plane to take off that same night, after all, everyone had already paid for their tickets and the flight was only 30 minutes long. So they decided to board all the passengers and the flight took off. Apparently there were no problems… But as the saying goes, it is better to waste a minute in life than life in a minute. Meanwhile, on the plane, Carolyne looked at the landscape outside and Kevin was sitting next to her.
“I hope these days turn out to be better, Carol. You promised grandma at the funeral that you would do your best,” Kevin said and the girl just nodded.
“I am so excited! I want to see my dad, my mom and my aunt,” Carolyne said.
“So, tell me, what do you plan to study? Remember that you are already 18 years old,” the older brother asked her.
“What I plan to study is…”, the girl was interrupted by a sudden movement.
The plane had the bad luck of entering a storm cloud, so they decided to go inside. Suddenly, there was a jolt, then another stronger than the previous one. The wind shears, also called turbulence, were trying to destabilize the flight and the desperate screams of the passengers were getting louder. Kevin asked Carolyne to imitate what he did when a thunderclap hit the side where Carolyne was sitting, causing her chair and seat to come off the plane. The girl could only watch nervously as she fell 10,000 meters in free fall, getting soaked by the torrential rain as she watched the plane pass by and fainted thinking it was a dream.
Fortunately for her, the blue-haired girl fell in the valleys of Cochabamba. The treetops and the fact that she fell with her seat were what cushioned the fall. Meanwhile, when she reacted, she saw a horrible scene. At a distance from her, a thick ball of smoke could be seen ascending... It was the plane that fell a few kilometers from her.
“Kevin…” Carolyne said when she saw the thick cloud of smoke, her brother probably already passed away. The girl tried to get up but a slight pain wouldn't let her. Her right ankle ended up fractured, so she crawled and found a stick that fit her, so she leaned on the stick and started walking. Her goal was to find the road and say that she was the only survivor of that fateful flight. As she wandered further and further, she began to get lost in the valley, so she decided to continue looking for help, this time from a peasant. The bad thing is that probably in those places, most of the peasants speak Quechua, but Carolyne didn't know how to speak that language, she only learned English and French, but she never lost her curiosity to learn an indigenous language because she saw it as useless, but in this situation she swallowed her words and saw that it wasn't so bad to learn an indigenous language at this time. She only hoped that the person who finds her is someone kind and not hostile.
“I don’t care if the peasants call me privileged… I need help…”, the young girl thought.
She saw a small tunnel that would connect to the other side. The fame of the valley tunnels is that they connect different towns, so she decided to enter there to seek shelter from the rain or find another small town. The young girl continued walking deeper into the tunnel. After about 15 minutes, she reached the exit of the tunnel which was a place full of fig crops. The young girl tried to take a couple of figs for the road, when suddenly, the young girl began to cough up blood. She was not quite okay, she had internal bleeding that was aggravated by the effort she put in.
“N-No… I don’t want to die…”
The young girl tried to keep walking, but the tiredness made her fall into the mud. Carolyne ended up crying out of frustration. Her family already had a funeral... And now they will have two new ones, causing more pain to her hurt family. With those thoughts, the young woman closed her eyes and her heart stopped beating... Or at least, that's what she thinks.

Seattle Public Schools is dismantling its gifted and talented program, which administrators argued was oversaturated with white and Asian students, in favor of a more “inclusive, equitable and culturally sensitive” program.
The district began phasing out its Highly Capable Cohort schools and classrooms for advanced students in the 2021-22 school year due to racial inequities, the school district notes.
The program will completely cease to exist by the 2027-28 school year, with a new enrichment-for-all model available in every school by the 2024-25 school year.
“The program is not going away, it’s getting better,” school officials said on the district website.
“It will be more inclusive, equitable and culturally sensitive.
“In particular, students who have been historically excluded will now have the same opportunities for services as every other student and get the support and enrichment they need to grow
The enrichment program currently only allows students who placed in the top 2 percent on standardized exams to be placed in the Highly Capable Cohort to receive enriched learning.
The students would then be sorted into one of three elementary schools, five middle schools and three high schools.
But in 2020, the Seattle school board voted to terminate the program, after a 2018 survey found that the students in the Highly Capable Cohort were 13% multiracial, 11.8% Asian, 3.7% Hispanic and just 1.6% black.
Nearly 70% of the students were white.
“Numbers would suggest that within our city … predominantly white children are more gifted than other cultures and races, and we know that is absolutely not true,” Kari Hanson, the district’s director of student support services, told Parent Map at the time.
Under the new program, dubbed the Highly Capable Neighborhood School Model, teachers will be required to come up with individualized learning programs for all 20 to 30 of their students — a task for which, they argue, they do not have the time or resources as the district faces a $104 million budget deficit, according to the Seattle Times.
The district said it is working to provide teachers with curriculum and instruction on how to make it work, but an estimate from 2020 suggested an enrichment-for-all program would cost the district $1.1 million over the first three years.
One teacher said she worries it will become more difficult under the new program to teach math to students with a range of abilities, and that the whole-classroom approach won’t properly prepare students for Advanced Placement math and science courses.
Parents also expressed their concerns that the new model could lead to children getting overlooked.
“It seems to me that kids on maybe both extremes are going to be underserved,” Erika Ruberry told the Seattle Times.
Karen Stukovsky, who has three children in the gifted program, added that each teacher “can only do so much differentiation.
“You have some kids who can barely read and some kids who are reading ‘Harry Potter’ in the first grade or kindergarten,” she said.
“How are you going to not only get those kids up to grade level, and also challenge those kids who are already easy above grade level?”
Some parents of black students in the program even argued against ending it.
“My request is that you please consider the disservice you would be doing to the minorities that are already in the HCC program,” one father said at the school board meeting to approve the new program in 2020, according to the Stranger.
“The program does more for black children, particularly black boys, than it does for their peers.”
But then-school board vice president Chandra Hampson shot back: “This is a pretty masterful job at tokenizing a really small community of color within the existing cohort.”
Over the past few years, though, more and more minority students have joined the ranks of the Highly Capable Cohort.
In the 2022-23 school year, 52% of the students were white, 16% were Asian and 3.4% were black, according to the Seattle Times.

“inclusive, equitable and culturally sensitive”
Translation: underperforming students of all races will be told they're just as good and as special as the high-performing students.
The entire concept of "inclusion" is idiotic. It originated as making sure that students had access to the education they were entitled to, such as making sure kids in wheelchairs had access to the school's facilities.
But it's morphed into the notion that there's unfairness or even bigotry if average or under-performing kids aren't included in an advanced or gifted program. That there's something wrong because everybody doesn't have the same result. But the idea that everyone is entitled to be "included" in everything is completely insane. Instead of having a separate program to uplift the mediocre students, the programs for the high-performers are scuttled and they're brought down to the lowest common denominator. This is what "equity" does.
DEI is just smug racism.

PATRICE'S STORY
Dear Kuya Bono,
Kumusta po ang lahat. I hope everybody is OK.
>>>>>
Graduate po ako ng BSE Major in English noong 2016. Same year ako nag-take Licensure Examination for Teachers at pinalad naman mapabilang sa 31,334 na pumasa. Imagine that number of new teachers.
Purok Uno sila, Purok siyete kami.
Sa paraang pabiro ko lang nasabi noon kay Yosee ang ganito;
Liligawan pa rin ulit kITA kahit na…back to zero ako, start from the beginning…OK lang sa akin kasi….mahal kitang totoo…todo todo walang preno…SAGAD HANGGANG BUTO!”

May kaya kasi talaga sila kahit noon pa.
Ako, never mind.

“Yes boy? What can I for you?” tanong ko sa kanila.
Yung isa ay kumanta naman ng EVERY WOMAN IN THE WORLD NG AIR SUPPLY.

“Saglit lang to guys!”
But…here and now…I am expressing my love to you. I LOVE YOU…..can you be my girlfriend?”
“YES! YES! YES!”
“Yes…daw…” Sabi ko.
“Gusto ko manggaling sayo. It is a yes?”
“Michael….of course, YES!”
PLAY>S4

Nakakakilig diba? Pero…hindi kami nagtagal ni Michael. Sorry to disappoint you pero,..BU-ANG kasi ako at nakakahiya ang nangyari.
>>
Kinaumagahan ay sa BukSU kami, kasi may klase pa ako noon liban sa Practice Teaching. Noong matapos ang subject na yun ay nilapitan ako ni Mara, ka-klase ko siya at ang sabi niya;
“Kilala kita….” Nakangiting sagot ko.
“Patrice right?”
“Oo….”
“Ahm, hindi na ako magpaligoy-ligoy pa Patrice. May itatanong lang ako…..”
“Sure. Ano yun?”
“Sigh. Anniversary namin ngayon.
“It’s OK Patrice.
“No, it’s OK. Siguro nga…kayo talaga ang para sa isa’t-isa…and I want you to know na hindi ako galit sayo.
“Tara na din…” Aya sa akin ni Mara pero ang sagot ko;
They really look good together…
PLAY>S6
DKB-7
Dalawa noong 3rd year then isa noong 4th year na na-extend pa ang relationship namin hanggang First Year ko sa college. FIRST AND LAST LOVE nila ang isa’t-isa.
Ngingiti-ngiti, kikindat-kindat at saka parang batang nagbu-beautiful eyes.
Pareho silang naniniwala sa kasabihan nilang; “IF YOU CAN MAKE A LADY LAUGH, YOU CAN WIN HER LOVE!”
“Next year, tayo naman pakasal…”
Kinagabihan kasi, sa handaan ay inulit niya yun sa akin kaya ang tanong ko;
“SERYOSO ka ba?”
“Oo, bakit?
>>>
Nag-decide akong sumama sa kanila…pero noong magpaalam ako kay Yosee, matigas ang kaniyang PAGTUTOL…pero wala siyang nagawa kasi, katawan ko, sarili ko ang boss ko sabi ko pa sa kaniya…at lalo pa akong nagmatigas noong sabihin niyang; “Pag umalis ka, manliligaw ako sa iba!” At ang sagot ko;
“Eh di manligaw ka!”
PLAY>S9
DKB-10
Pero isang araw, 7 months na ako noon sa Maynila at chinat ko ang kapatid ko. Kinumusta ko si Yosee. Ang reply niya sa akin;
Kaliwat-kanang LOAN AND INSTALLMENT.
“Malko,HELE TIME NA”…Sabi ko. Siya ang nakaisip ng tawagan naming yun. MALKO..na shotcut ng MAHAL KO. At kapag tinawagan ko siya sa umaga at matutulog na ako, kahit anong ginagawa niya, ititigil niya at kakantahan niya ako hanggang sa makatulog ako.
PLAY>S11

PLAY>S12
DKB-13
>>>
>>
So I had no choice kundi ang magmukmok.
“Hi Patrice. Kumusta? Sana hindi ka na galit sa akin….” Ganito ang text niya.
“Who are you?” reply ko.
“This is me, RICO…at handa na akong magpakita sayo…..”
PLAY>S14
DKB-15
“Michael, ikaw ba yan?” tanong ko pa pero ang sagot niya;
“Basta, bukas….5PM, makikilala mo na ako…..”
“Bakit ba may pasuspense ka pa kasi?” reply ko pero ang sagot niya;
“4 year lang, hindi malaki yun and besides….IN LOVE, AGE DOEST MATTER…..”
SO FAR ay wala pa namang nagkamaling sabihing mag-ATE kami or something.
We see to it na nagkikita at nagkakasama kami araw-araw.
I WILL NO LONGER TAKE LOVE FOR GRANTED.
Umaasa at nagpapasalamat,
Patrice

CBSE Implements Competency-Based Learning Journey in Schools
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has implemented a shift in its teaching methods, introducing Competency-Based Education (CBE) in schools across India. This change moves away from traditional content-heavy learning, where memorisation was often emphasised. The curriculum has shifted to a model that focuses on the practical application of knowledge and skills.
Launched during the 2022-23 academic year, this approach aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It encourages a well-rounded education that better prepares students for both future academic studies and professional environments. Schools such as St. Xavier’s High School at the forefront of this change, supporting students in developing real-world skills, critical thinking abilities, and a deeper understanding of their subjects.
What is Competency-Based Education?
Competency-based education, as implemented by new-age schools like St. Xavier’s High schools in sector 81 gurgaon, focuses on equipping students with practical, specific skills. This approach enables students to demonstrate their knowledge through application-based activities rather than traditional simple learning. For example, instead of solely memorising facts for exams, students in a CBE model engage in tasks that apply their knowledge to solve problems or complete projects that simulate real-world scenarios. This method develops critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability, giving students skills that go beyond academic knowledge and prepare them for future challenges in both educational and professional settings.
Why Schools in Gurugram, Including St. Xavier’s, are Adopting CBE
The shift to Competency-Based Education is a response to the need for more meaningful and practical learning. Traditional education models often required students to rely heavily on memorisation, which led to quick forgetting of information once exams were over. CBE focuses on thorough comprehension and skills finesse, which not only helps students retain what they learn but also understand its applications in real life. At St. Xavier’s High School Sector 81, this approach aims to provide students with the skills they will need to overcome future academic and professional spaces effectively.
Key Elements of Competency-Based Learning
In implementing Competency-Based Education, schools like St. Xavier’s Sector 81 follow several foundational principles that distinguish this approach from traditional education:
1. Personalised Learning
Lessons are tailored to address the specific needs of each student. Teachers adapt the material and pace to suit individual learning styles, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
2. Competency Mastery
Students only advance to the next level when they have fully mastered the current skill or concept. This method prevents gaps in understanding and builds a solid foundation of knowledge.
3.Flexible Learning Environments
In CBE, learning is not limited to the classroom or a rigid schedule. Students are encouraged to engage with the material through various resources, both online and offline, at a pace that suits them best.
4. Student Ownership of Learning
CBE students participate actively in their education. It builds a sense of responsibility and accountability. Students are prompted to ask questions, explore their curiosities, and develop independence in their learning process.
New Assessment Approaches in Competency-Based Education
Assessments are important in Competency-Based Education but differ from traditional exams. Instead of testing memorised information, assessments in CBE measure students' abilities to apply their knowledge in practical situations. Teachers at St. Xavier’s Sector 81, for instance, assesses students through tasks that involve analysis of all of which showcase how well students have understood the material. This approach not only evaluates comprehension but also helps students build skills that will be essential in their future studies and careers.
Advantages of Competency-Based Learning
Competency-Based Learning offers numerous benefits for students, particularly in preparing them for higher education and the workplace. Some key advantages include:
In-Depth Understanding
CBE enables students to gain a comprehensive understanding of their subjects. Rather than focusing on what to learn, students also explore why and how things work.
Practical Skills Development
Since the emphasis is on real-world applications, students learn practical skills that make their studies more relevant. For example, a science student might engage in experiments that connect theoretical knowledge to real-life applications.
Readiness for Future Challenges
CBE prepares students with problem-solving and analytical skills that are invaluable in higher education and professional settings. As students progress through their education, these skills will help them adapt to new situations and challenges effectively.
Individual Support and Flexibility
In a competency-based model, students are not rushed to meet a standard curriculum pace. They are given the time to thoroughly understand each topic, creating a more supportive environment that addresses the learning needs of each individual.
Conclusion
The CBSE’s adoption of Competency-Based Education marks a pivotal shift in Indian education. For schools like St. Xavier’s High School in Sector 81 Gurugram, this new educational model presents a valuable opportunity to provide students with a personalized and impactful learning experience. With the collaborative efforts of educators, parents, and the community, Competency-Based Education aims to produce well-rounded individuals.

A Simple Look at CBSE's New Education Policy 2020
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced significant changes to enhance education in India. The new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 marks an important advancement towards improved learning experiences. This policy prioritizes three main areas: practical learning, innovative assessment methods, and comprehensive teacher training. Let us know more about it!
Moving to Practical Learning
One of the most notable changes brought about by the NEP 2020 is the emphasis on practical learning. This shift encourages students at the best schools in Gurgaon to engage in experiential learning, where they grasp concepts by actively participating in activities rather than just memorizing them. Practical learning develops a deeper understanding of subjects and helps students retain information longer.
Teachers are now encouraged to adopt diverse teaching methods. They pay emphasis on projects, field trips, and simulations. For instance, instead of merely reading about plants in a textbook, students might visit a garden to observe and interact with various plant species. Such experiences not only make learning more enjoyable but also enable students to connect with the material. This builds a genuine love for learning.
New Ways to Test Students
The NEP 2020 also revolutionizes the approach to student assessments. It shifts the focus from blank learning to evaluating understanding and the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. The policy introduces innovative assessment techniques, including case studies and reasoning-based questions. These types of questions compel students to think critically and engage with the subject matter more deeply.
Additionally, significant changes have been made to mathematics assessments. Students in Grade 10 at the best CBSE schools in Gurgaon now have the option to choose between two levels of math exams: basic and standard. This flexibility allows students to select an assessment that aligns with their comfort level and interest in the subject.
The introduction of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) is another vital aspect of the new policy. CCE employs various assessments throughout the academic year, enabling teachers to monitor student progress continuously. This approach allows educators to identify areas where students may need additional support, ensuring that no one falls behind.
Training Teachers for Better Learning
Teachers are essential to the success of the NEP 2020. Recognizing this, the policy includes specialized training programs designed to equip educators with new teaching methodologies and resources. For example, the Teacher Energised Resource Materials (TERM) initiative empowers teachers to implement practical learning strategies in their classrooms.
Ongoing professional development is also a key focus. Teachers are encouraged to participate in workshops, conferences, and online courses to stay abreast of the latest teaching practices and advancements. Well-trained teachers are crucial for making learning effective and enjoyable for students.
Focusing on Overall Growth
Beyond academics, the new policy emphasizes the holistic development of students. It addresses their social, emotional, and physical well-being. The NEP 2020 advocates for the incorporation of life skills into the curriculum, preparing students to face challenges, make informed decisions, and cultivate strong interpersonal relationships.
Inclusive education is another vital element of the NEP 2020. This approach ensures that all students, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities, receive equal learning opportunities. Schools are encouraged to provide support services and create a welcoming environment, ensuring that every student feels included and valued.
Overcoming Challenges
While the NEP 2020 presents a promising vision for education, its implementation faces several challenges. Resistance to change from certain stakeholders and the lack of necessary resources or infrastructure in some schools can hinder progress. Moreover, developing new study materials and assessment tools poses additional obstacles.
To address these challenges, the CBSE is committed to offering technical support and clear guidelines to schools. Collaboration with various partners is also crucial for effective policy implementation. The CBSE will closely monitor the progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure the success of the NEP 2020.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, the CBSE aims to broaden the reach of the NEP 2020, including more schools and regions in this transformative educational framework. The board is dedicated to ongoing research and development to continually refine the policy. By proactively addressing emerging challenges, the CBSE ensures that all students benefit from the enhancements made to the education system.
Conclusion
The NEP 2020 represents a significant leap toward improving education in India. This policy emphasizes the importance of personal growth and social responsibility, nurturing a generation of students who are well-rounded and prepared to contribute positively to society. As schools in Sector 89 Gurgaon and other regions embrace these changes, they will play a vital role in shaping a brighter future for education.

Glimpse of Us
3 Oktober 2024, 10:43 pm.
By now, it’s been almost four months since I started studying at Kolej Poly-Tech Mara Bangi. However, I still haven’t been able to move on from my high school friends. Even though I’ve tried to fit in and grow closer to my new friends here, a part of me still wishes that the moments I’m having now were with them instead. Every night, before I close my eyes, I think about how lucky I am to have them as friends. One of my favorite memories is from the day we took our first picture together, right after finishing the practical exam for our SPM trial. I’m including that picture here because I think it captures how close we were, and how special that time was for us. Although some of us don’t talk as much anymore and are slowly becoming strangers, I still believe that deep down, each of us misses the incredible memories we created together at school. We had our share of fights, but we also shared countless moments of laughter. That’s just how friendships work. There are bitter moments, but those struggles are what strengthened our bond, even to this day.
The second photo is me with my all time favorite person to talk to. He’s more than just a friend, he’s my confidant, my constant companion, and the only guy I’ve ever completely trusted with my deepest thoughts and feelings. He always makes me a priority, and not a day goes by where I don’t feel grateful for his presence in my life. Even though we’re the same age, his maturity far exceeds mine. He has taught me so much about life, from how to face difficult situations to staying calm when everything feels overwhelming. No matter what challenges I’m dealing with, he’s always there to guide me through them with his thoughtful advices. What really stands out is how he always considers my feelings, never dismissing them, but instead making sure I feel heard and understood. Whenever something unexpected happens, he’s the first person to check in on me, and I appreciate how he listens without judgment. He’s not someone who jumps to conclusions or makes assumptions but instead, he takes the time to understand the situation fully before offering support or advice. Even when we have misunderstandings, he’s the one who works to resolve things and is sensitive to my moods. Sometimes I’ll randomly start a silly fight, and rather than get upset, he just goes along with it, knowing it’s part of my personality. I truly hope this relationship lasts forever, because I’m absolutely certain there’s no one else like him, and I can’t imagine my life without his unwavering support.
Moving on to the next picture, which is my absolute favorite. Just by looking at it, you can already tell how happy the six of us are together. The term "best friends" feels far too small to describe them. They're truly everything to me, on top of everything else. Our little group has been inseparable since 2020. This picture was taken at Fantasia, a small waterpark, during a short trip we took together before we each went off to pursue our studies. It was a bittersweet moment since none of us ended up at the same educational institution, and now we’re all hundreds of kilometers apart. It feels strange to be apart when we were so used to being together 24/7 in boarding school, where we lived in the hostel. We did everything together. Waking up, showering, getting ready, eating, and walking to class. Now we’re living our own lives, but we still share the same bond. These are the first people I turn to whenever something happens or when there’s a new piece of gossip. It feels like we all share the same brain cell sometimes. One of the reasons our friendship has stayed so strong is our shared sense of humor. We can literally look at a tree and start laughing uncontrollably. We only have two modes which is when we’re serious, we’re strictly serious, but it never lasts long because one of us will always crack a joke and turn everything into a funny moment. Sure, there are times when we’ve had real fights, but they never last long. In the end, we’re best friends by heart and sisters by soul.
Simply put, I want nothing more than for these amazing people to achieve everything they dream of in the future. I want them to live their lives to the fullest, just like we’ve always done together. I truly hope we can stay friends until death do us part. I’ll always be here, cheering you all on and praying for your success. Keep going, guys. You’ve got this!

Cerumen Removal: The Surprising Trajectory of the Global Cerumen Extraction
There are a few key reasons why earwax, also known as cerumen, can build up inside the ear canal. Genetics play a role, as some people naturally produce more earwax than others. The shape and curves of the ear canal can also contribute to wax buildup. When earwax is not removed regularly through the natural process of the ear's self-cleaning mechanism, it can accumulate over time. Environmental factors like humidity and air quality may exacerbate excessive wax production in some individuals as well. Loud noise exposure from things like concerts or machinery can cause the ear canal skin to thicker, making it harder for wax to exit naturally.
Advancements in Cerumen Removal Tools and Techniques Over-the-counter earwax removal drops and kits have grown in popularity as a gentle at-home solution. These products work by helping to soften and drain stubborn earwax with mineral Cerumen Removal oil or hydrogen peroxide. Professionally, micro-suction devices have revolutionized the industry. Powered by batteries or wall outlets, microsuction units use precise suction and tiny specialized tubes and mirrors for clean, atraumatic cerumen extraction. Some of the latest models incorporate HD cameras for an enhanced view of the ear canal during removal. Microdebridement tools using gentle rinsors and curettes allow thorough wax cleaning with minimal risk of injury. Laser-guided cerumen removal is also an emerging specialty method gaining acceptance.
It is estimated the worldwide cerumen management supplies and services market will reach $2.6 billion USD by 2027 according to a leading market research firm. This reflects an annual growth rate of nearly 5% driven by aging populations across Europe and North America dealing with increased wax issues. The United States accounts for over 30% of current global revenues due to widespread health insurance coverage of medically necessary procedures. Sales of over-the-counter wax removal kits pull in an additional $250 million per year. Asia Pacific regions like India and China are projected to experience the fastest market expansion going forward as medical tourism and consumer spending power rises in emerging economies. Other substantial cerumen revenue streams come from professional equipment manufacturing, training programs for technicians, and wax analysis testing services for research purposes. Regulatory Standards and Training Requirements
Proper cerumen removal requires adherence to rigorous sterilization, safety, and documentation guidelines set forth by national medical boards to prevent injury and cross-contamination. In the United States, practitioners performing in-office microsuction or other instrument-assisted techniques must be licensed medical professionals such as physicians, audiologists, or registered nurses. Training programs approved by credentialing bodies teach thorough ear anatomy lessons along with microsuction device handling, positioning techniques, and documentation procedure workflows. Some countries in Europe have separate advanced earwax removal certifications beyond basic audiology degrees. Regulations are continuously evaluated and updated to account for new evidence-based practices and ensure utmost protection of patients undergoing any invasive ear procedures. Global Impact of the Pandemic on Cerumen Removal
The worldwide COVID-19 crisis significantly disrupted the cerumen management sector in 2020 and 2021 as non-essential medical services were postponed or shifted to telehealth platforms. Supply chain issues led to brief equipment backorders and price increases on microsuction devices and other tools needing disinfection between patients. Offices implementing strict safety protocols saw exam room throughput diminished. At-home cerumen removal product sales boomed however, as individuals avoided clinics whenever possible. Many practitioners leveraged online training options to maintain skills and certifications during lockdowns. Looking ahead, the industry is poised for strong rebounds as vaccination programs take effect and clinics resume regular operations while still offering telehealth as an additional service model.
The global for cerumen removal products and services has grown rapidly in recent years and shows no signs of slowing. Technological and clinical advancements continue to progress the field while regulatory standards reinforce gold-standard safety practices. A diverse mix of tools, techniques, and training programs have enabled this specialty industry to successfully adapt to challenging conditions brought by the pandemic with an eye towards renewed growth. Earwax management will remain an important part of comprehensive ear health globally. OET Now Accepted in the US for Medical Professionals
The Occupational English Test (OET) is now officially accepted in two American states—Florida and Oregon—as proof of English proficiency for doctors and nurses seeking to immigrate to the US. This marks the first OET Now Accepted in the US, which has previously recognized TOEFL and IELTS for medical professionals. OET's adoption is driven by the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted the US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and highlighted the need for alternative proficiency tests.
The Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and the respective nursing boards of Florida and Oregon have approved OET as a valid assessment, aligning with the needs of medical professionals who prefer a test tailored to their field. The minimum required scores for ECFMG certification are 350 (B) in each section of the OET. Florida's requirements are slightly lower, with a minimum of 300 (C+) in each section.
These decisions, while formally made, await incorporation into state law, anticipated by the end of 2020. This legal finalization will enable OET candidates to apply for residency or fellowship programs in the US by 2021. Pre-registration for OET is currently available, with exams scheduled from August 2020. Results from July 1, 2018, onwards will be considered valid if they meet the specified score criteria.
This development opens new opportunities for global medical professionals to consider the US as a viable career destination, making it an opportune moment to start preparing with OET courses to achieve the necessary proficiency scores.

Popularity Of Mobile Games In 2024
Imagine this! The summer holidays have just begun. The exams are over, and you want to go to your home and enjoy games. Of course, you are excited, but the PC is engaged, and someone is working on it. Instead of being disappointed, you choose to play the snake game on our old classic Nokia phone and manage to beat your high score!
Good old days, right? We had so much fun playing simple mobile games like Tetris and Snake on our mobile phones. The simple structure and straightforward rules make these games easy to understand and playable for everyone.
Growing up we have observed all the developments in the preferences of gamers. PC games managed to dominate during the 2000s but the introduction of the touchscreen made the experience even more fulfilling. Phones with touchscreen capabilities and sleek features suddenly turned the tide in the favour of mobile games. These developments also widened the scope of mobile gaming as they were not limited to offline modes anymore.
In 2011, we witnessed a new era with the introduction of extremely popular online mobile games like Temple Run, Subway Surfers, and Angry Birds. All the kids and teenagers started demanding their parents buy them a mobile phone instead of a PC. The games became so popular that they managed to overshadow the market of PC games.
The reason is obvious. The most simple games are the ones that attain the highest popularity. Games with complex gameplay are not always easy to understand by everyone and they may even ruin the experience of gaming because of being too complicated to understand and follow. Professional gamers may prefer complex gameplay but the majority of our population plays these games as a pastime. Casual gamers prefer games that are easy to follow and easy to understand. Moreover, casual games are not limited to the young generation. Games like Candy Crush and Solitaire are being enjoyed by the adult population regularly because they act as stressbusters. We can certainly say that simple games with easy-to-follow rules end up dominating the gaming sector.
With people being stuck in their houses and uncertain about their future, classic games with simple gameplay made a solid comeback in the year 2020. Online mobile gaming saw its peak during the COVID-19 pandemic. People just wanted to engage in fun activities to make them forget about the dire situation. Multiplayer games achieved the highest success during these testing times. Even though PUBG’s mobile version was launched in 2018, it gained the highest popularity during the pandemic. People who preferred board games over action games often engaged in games like Ludo and Scrabble. Due to the financial crisis, some gamers were even able to monetize games like PUBG to their benefit and started building income. Competitions were being arranged between the best players on a large scale to find out the best player amongst them.
After understanding in brief about the popularity of mobile games, you must be looking for a platform to play online mobile games. Now, there are thousands of platforms available online. But have you ever seen a gaming format that can help you earn five times the amount that you have invested? Bazigar can certainly do that for you! With downloads reaching the sky limit, Bazigar has become the best platform for playing mobile games in 2024. Did you ever imagine that one day you would be able to play your favorite Snake, Tetris, and Solitaire with a large scale of players to earn money online? We have created exciting maps for Snake, Tetris, and Solitaire according to the time of the day to make the gaming experience even more immersive.
Additionally, if you are skilled enough, you might even be able to earn five times the amount that you invest in this game. The entry fee starts from a meager ₹10 rupees but there are no limitations. If you can invest a higher amount, the winnings will get multiplied by over five times. Today I just learned how much my mother blames me for everything
Fresh out of college and board exams at 21, I immediately started earning a living and providing what I can for the family. Call me a breadwinner if you may. A lot has changed in my life, from profession to last name, but providing for my first family has always been a constant for me. I am 30 years old now.
In 2020, my parents decided to end their marriage after I stepped in and gave them an ultimatum on what they wanted to happen with their relationship and our family. I basically got tired from all the scream battles and breaking things in the house, or everyone giving everyone cold treatment, there was no in between. There was a point where my father was nothing but deflective and even physically abusive to me and my siblings (especially the youngest, got beaten up multiple times). Mother was just always emotionally-absent and dismissive. I was 26 then, my younger sister 24, and our youngest brother 21.
In the process of their separation, dad wanted to sell our family home, take half of the money and go back to his parents to a far island province. Mom strongly refused, but I told her that if they really are separating, there's no point in keeping the house, and that I will help her get another house to live in (which I did). She did many ways to convince dad not to sell the house but dad was not budging, so she reluctantly gave in in the end.
In 2022, my dad would frequently message me and my siblings how he was deeply regretful of his decision to leave, he was sick and apparently running out of the money he took from selling our family home. He asked to let him live with us again. At this time my mother was in a new relationship and they were kind of on&off living together, my siblings and I were living our separate adult lives too. So it was easy to say that what he asked was impossible, because there was nowhere to return to.
In December 2023, on the day of my mother's birthday, my father died. He was a heavy drinker up to his 30s, but more than that he was a chainsmoker, I guess up until he couldn't smoke anymore. Some may say it was only a matter of time for those to catch up to him, especially because he was never health-conscious, never had a good diet and never exercised properly.
I saw it coming the day he left us, but it still devastated me. I love my father so much, or at least the version of him before he turned to his abusive ways. He was my superman and my comedian. He was all that before the marriage and money problems began.
What hurt more was that we were not able to go to his wake and burial because of financial problems (and the fact that the whole clan on his side of the family was "disappointed" in us because we did not accept him back into our lives). Despite that I still took out a large chunk of mine and my husband's savings to give my aunt money for hospital, funeral and burial expenses. It was the best I can do, as going there is so costly I would rather help them bury my father properly with the money, even if it means I would not see the remains of him one last time. It still hurts a lot. I am trying to move on day by day, but there is a large hole in my heart now he is gone, and I can't even visit his grave.
Fast forward to yesterday, my brother messaged our mom for me about something because I am not currently in good and talking terms with her, and I promise you it was for a very valid reason. My brother showed me what mother said to him about how she is so stressed about me not wanting to talk to her, about how she wanted to just leave and disappear because she is not wanted, the usual gaslighting lines. Honestly, she was always like this. She never acknowledged anyone's struggle but her own. She can make bad decisions but we were only allowed to sympathize because we can now understand things as adults, even if we got hurt or are still hurt.
What I cannot fathom about everything she said to my brother was how she "finally understood why my father left us". And that she might just do the same until the last of her remaining days, saying she is "ready". She sai she plans on going home to her hometown with her siblings so they can take care of her since we would not do it. At this time she is living in a house I bought using her money from selling our family home as downpayment, and my own income to pay for the remaining balance monthly under a 30-year loan.
I always knew she was not happy about how I convinced her to let the family home go and start again. I made peace with that indifference knowing it was the way to stop all the abuse and let everyone move on. What I was not aware of is how she thinks it was my fault (or her children's fault) that my father wanted to leave in the first place. How she can have the audacity to say that is shaking me to my very core, thinking how much trauma we got from their toxic marriage. So much trauma that I decided I never want to have kids.
I feel almost betrayed at this point, knowing all that revelation from her and after all I have done for the family for the last nine years. To be fair, I always had that sinking feeling that I everything I do will never be enough, now I can confirm it is true. I am so hurt that I do not want to have anything to do with her until she dies. But I know that my love and understanding for her will always kick in. I'm just lucky I live quite far from her now so I can physically distance myself at least.
But how do you go from here?

Most students start preparing for the SAT during their class 11 and take the exam during their class 12. SAT doesn’t test logic or abstract reasoning; it tests the skills students learn at school, which are important and will stay with the student for a lifetime.
