I don't know when it happened but literally seeing my favorite character just makes me fucking tense in panic. It's not like being triggered exactly but there's that On Edge feeling. It fucking sucks because Bo-Katan's one of my all time favorite characters. Even more than Ahsoka which says a whole fucking lot. It's like Bo and Hera as my all time favorites in this media.

It's a character week for her but the idea of seeing anything with her just starts this gut deep discomfort that it's going to be a fight. That existing here, in this space, is a never going to be enjoyable for long periods of time. Part that sheer stress fucks up my ability to write because it's this never ending, anxiety riddled second guessing of "Is this in-character? Do I know what I'm doing? If I magically managed to post something will it be noticed or go unnoticed? Better yet, which of this will be better?"

I used to be able to check things with "You primarily write OC x Canon so you're not going to catch a lot of notice. It'll be safe." but that's not working as much anymore. Because I, like damn near everyone creating, want attention and for it to be positive for my efforts. Because it's full of love.

Now, it's like, "Your favorite character is just popular enough now that you'll potentially get noticed because people want content with her." However, I don't write her utterly soft because that's not the Bo I fell in love with or see. She has those moments but that's not her. She's not defanged or a victim of abuse or a bunch of common headcanons that are accepted now as fact.

The OC (Solus) I ship with her is a little snake posed to strike at various points; at times, Bo straight up has to tell her stand the fuck down. Because she's more than prepared to go razed earth for the future of Mandalore. But, there's also a lot of parallels/imaging/whatever you wanna call it between Solus & Bo and Solus & Satine. Solus is another person that's too young, who grew up too fast, and is supposed to be The Pride of her Clan. But, she has this fear in her mind that she's an Exile and The Mistake like Satine. It causes so much inner strife and it's interesting to explore the parts of herself/her life she sees mirrored in Satine and her life.

Solus is also entirely in love with Pre Vizsla as well. I know what alone makes her very likely an unlikable OC. She's also very Pro-Death Watch, proudly serves when they're active, and is all around ready to be a stone cold, ruthless bitch for Mandalore. And I don't ""punish"" her for that nor is she just a villain. She's a complex character who has been profoundly traumatized at points yet maintains that love, in its various forms, is the strongest power in the Galaxy. I've been working on her and her friends since 2017 (except Alijah who came about later.)

And it's frustrating that everything's mixed to the point I can't enjoy characters and pairings I love. Or, even trying to make content for my own OCs because it's like, "Will I get destroyed for making a character I enjoy?"

01. Full Name: Solus Vetra

02. Best Friend(s): Lumi Kirrin, Jazari Naaji, Ursa Wren

03. Sexuality: Pansexual, Polyamorous 

04. Favorite Color: Silver, Light Blue

05. Relationship Status: Married to Pre Vizsla and Bo-Katan Kryze. For the last couple of centuries of their lives she and Lumi are basically married. Otherwise, she’s single or, as in one universe, dating/married to Anakin for a few years.

06. Ideal Mate: They absolutely have to be intelligence and able to keep up with her. It doesn’t have to be the same kind of intelligence she possess but there has to be something there. She loves learning from her partner(s). Also, someone not afraid to challenge her to grow or stand their ground. They also have to understand her devotion to the the Resol’nare, if not match it.

07. Turn-ons: Intelligent Banter, Calloused Hands, People who have a kind of edge to them that makes her want to learn more. A more joking take would be “Tall, Blond in Armor (preferably Mandalorian) who is a Whole Dumbass and has lost a fight to Count Dooku.

08. Favorite Food: Spiced Leathermeat or Varos (either as fruit or turned into tihaar). An argument could be made for live caught amphibians or small reptiles but that’s as much for the enrichment activity of hunting as the taste.

09. Crushes: Pre Vizsla, Bo-Katan Kryze, Lumi Kirrin, Jazari Naaji, Shaak Ti, Anakin Skywalker. There’s more that becomes more dependent on the AU.

10. Favorite Music: Space Sabaton. Otherwise, she’s rather likes things with strong beats and lyrics that tell a story. Unless it’s club music where she just wants a beat and notes that drown everything else out.

11. Biggest Fear: That in the end she’s not done enough and failed not only Mandalore but her Family as well.

12. Biggest Fantasy: Happily living on Krownest with her family and raising her whole gaggle of children. She’d open a school of sorts for fellow Mandalorian Force Sensitives to help them learn about the Force. It stems as much from her refusal (and eventual spearheaded ban) of the Jedi/Sith being allowed within the Sector as comforting them. She was an absurdly powerful Force Sensitive that felt scared and alone with her power. If there’s a way to stop others from feeling that she has to try.

13. Bad Habits: She will catch and consume living reptiles (typically lizards) as intimidation tactics against people, Rules are Made to Twisted and Exploited, She doesn’t turn being a Spy off well, and her Art Supplies/Clothes multiple then expand across her living space.

14. Biggest Regret: It’s kind of Verse dependent really. The two most common ones involve Pre and the Order. If Maul kills Pre within the Verse she regrets not being there to stop it form happening. Otherwise, she regrets not finding a way to leave the Jedi Order/Republic sooner than she did. 

15. Best Kept Secrets: Another Verse dependent thing. Any of the shenanigans she got up to with Lumi and Jazari as children or at the Temple, Most of what she’s done on Nar Shaddaa, and who keeps moving the mugs (only a inch or so but with the Force) or hiding shoes of the people who annoy her too early in the morning.

16. Last Thought: I finally get to see them again.

17. Worst Romantic Experience: This is a kind of ficlet to explain how it’s both the Best and Worst. See, there’s a specific time period between Pre announcing he’s in charge of Death Watch and Solus joining. In that time period Pre’s her worst romantic experience because of this. Jumping into bed with the Governor Vizsla was a delightful treat form her bodyguard sub-mission involving Satine. Lots of chemistry, lots of passion, and just a lot of a good time on a mission that was only partway over. Then, the other shoe dropped and so did her mood. There may have been rants about “He had not right to be that good and ruin me. Then turn out to be that.” Which was also misplaced anger and confusion as she started to question her whole world view.

18. Biggest Insecurity: It’s kind of two different ones that compete to be the biggest. The first is this worry that people, especially their families, think of her as Pre (and to an extent Bo-Katant’s) early mid-life crisis due to being a decade or more younger than them. Another is the fact that she was a member of the Jedi Order, did live within the Republic, and as a result did enforce the will of both of them. That made her Dar’Manda in her own eyes.

19. Weapon of Choice: Her dual lightsabers and her brilliant mind. Because no fight with Solus is ever just physical.

20. Role Model(s): Ursa Wren (As a child she thought her fellow Countess was Fearless and never lost that idolization), Tarre Vizlsa, her grandfather Harti Wren, and after she forgives him, her other grandfather Jai Vetra.

Flirtatious Nights

Rating: Solid T

Characters: Pre Vizlsa, Solus Vizsla, Tarre Vizsla, Jila Vizlsa, Bo-Katan Kryze (mentioned)

Warnings: Flirtation Between Spouses, Light Almost Dirty Talk, Age Gap, Unbalanced Power Dynamics (that I’m still pretty sure favor Solus)

Summary: Just a random night some time after the Twins are born between Pre and Solus. What starts as playful joking turns into cute flirtation. 

Notes: Another overhauled fic from the old “Two Wild Halves” Verse. I originally intended to write this in order but that got cast aside. Instead, I’m going with wherever my fancy strikes. Plus, I just wanted to make some cute fluff for a change.

“She gets it from you,” Solus teased her riduur with a gentle smile. Jila was nestled in her arms with gray eyes drifting shut but still nursing. “I certainly don’t make that much noise.”

Pre played at being offended by the suggestion. Pinched brows and narrowed eyes that lasted barely a second. Tarre’s twitching ears and brilliant blue eyes melted him. “You certainly do. Ask your squad or the mechanics.”

One white brow arched upward for a moment. The she drawled, “I train and work with clear orders to those around me. I need to be heard in those moments. You, however, communicate entirely through yelling. I’ve been in quieter war zones.” Mauve lips curled up into a bright, cheerful smile. “I don’t care for you any less, Cyare. I just want to mute your comm channel some days.”

From the corner of the living room, Cabu gave something akin to a huff of laughter in their sleep. Ears twitched backward in mirth as she smirked at him. “Someone seems to agree with me.”

“The Strill has no say in the matter.”

“Fine then. Ask Bo’ika and she’ll agree with me too.” The petty disagreements between Cabu and her riduur brought about endless amusement. “We take bets on when you’ll start the yelling.”  

Pre’s free arm draped over her shoulders to pull her closer. “Betrayed by you both.” His calloused thumb rubbed circles on her bare arm. “What should I do with you?”

“I think,” she started before trailing off shift Jila upright to burp her. “You should send the three of us to some cold planet for a mission. The kind of place where we’re in a cabin that’s old-fashioned with a real log burning fireplace. Make us have to rough it.”

Tarre yawned from Pre’s arms before cuddling closer to his chest. For once it seemed she was following her sister’s lead of sleeping at night. Jila was already most of the way gone in her arms. Good, things may work out entirely as planned.  

“The three of us?”

“Of course, you have to be there to supervise. Make sure we’re being thoroughly punished for our insubordination. All you’ll have to do is sit back and watch us work.” Bo-Katan was the newest element in their relationship. A welcomed third but one that had never gotten enough alone time with them both. That was possibly set to change.

“How exactly do you plan on roughing it?”

Solus felt the smile spread across her lips. Without glancing up she knew Pre was sold on the idea. “I’ll hunt for food while Bo takes care of the fire. With both end up so filthy from all the work and have to shower together. Only to conserve the hot water of course. Might even have to work the knots and kinks out of each other’s muscles.”

Pre leaned closer to her ear, “You have a very good idea.” The tickle of his hot breath sent shivers cascading down her spine. “But, I have a few more punishments to suggest.”

“Oh really?” She turned her head just enough to glance up at him from beneath white lashes. The little action had driven him wild ever since Concordia. “Why don’t we put the children to bed and then you demonstrate some of those punishments for me. I want to hear all about them.”

Pre/Bo/Solus for the modern AU?

1. Made the first move: Bo-Katan because otherwise it would still be Solus and Pre pining after each other and telling her about it. When they both have the ability to tell each other and get this going. Even when it was just her and Solus she took the initiative then. 

2. The big spoon: Less Spoon and more Pre in the middle with Bo and Solus on either side. Unless, someone’s having a bad night then they’re the one sandwiched in the middle. 

3. The little spoon: It’s Solus 80% of the time because otherwise she’s a jetpack compared to everyone else. 

4. The cuddler: All of them to a degree but Pre gets the call out. Imagine big dog that wants to be a really affectionate lap pup.

5. Cries during movies: It depends on the movie but all of them were super teary eyed doing Thor: Ragnarok at the line, “Asgard isn’t a place, it’s a people.” Because that just hit home for them so, so hard.

6. More affectionate: Kind of a toss up depending on the day and what’s happened. Bo’s super affectionate when she gets back missions because it’s been some time since she saw the other two. Pre’s affectionate in general but not with grand displays but more little things. I imagine him as sitting close to them, having a hand on a shoulder or back, or something just to let them both know he’s there. Solus rotates between politely affectionate and hand holding in public to being full on draped across someone in private. 

7. Their favorite non-sexual activity: It’s not watching football (Solus refuses to call it ‘soccer’), rugby, or hockey because one of them is going to get arrested at the bar and it’s probably Solus. I could see going to museums being something they enjoy together a lot. Or, like going on a hike or something nature based. Also, movies and like board games and chess. Solus and Pre make chess interesting.

8. More nervous to meet the parents: All of them? Pre’s bringing home the much younger Vetra Heiress and someone’s probably got something to say. Bo-Katan’s family is a flaming mess between Satine, who they politically oppose hard, and her, now deceased father, who loathed both the Vetras and Wrens. Jai nor Harti are thrilled Solus went out and found Pre Vizsla to love forever. Bo-Katan they can respect but Pre takes forever to grow on them. 

That being said, Ursa and Alrich were a delight for everyone to meet because they’re Solus’ family too and already knew the other two. 

9. More protective/jealous: They are all very aware they each one of them is super capable of taking care of themselves but they shouldn’t have to do it alone. Pre is the most overtly protective because America isn’t exactly polite to Bo-Katan or Solus beneath the surface. So, he’s very proactive in daring anyone to mess with them. After Maul and Savage do a number on Solus, Bo also closes ranks on keeping an eye on Solus. In turn, Solus has their backs no matter what and has basically went to war for Pre.

10. Sneaks into the shower with the other in the mornings: Solus, she’s half awake and doesn’t care if the shower is in use or not. She’s getting in.

11. Initiates sexy times the most: Pre or Solus. Neither are shy about what they want. 

12. Fuck or make love: Both is good. Sometimes you want to feel sweet, tender feelings and other times you want to test the weight bearing capacity of half the furniture in the house.

13. Behind the wheel more often during road trips: Bo because Pre’s got road rage for days and Solus drives like she’s trying to loose a tail. Bo obeys speed limits, more or less, and doesn’t scare the other drivers or her passengers. Solus drives if they’re running late though. She’s very, very good at getting places very, very fast.

14. Gives the silent treatment when they’re mad at each other: None of them really do that. They’ll go to their own corners to cool off when things get heated and it becomes an unproductive fight. But, the goal is to regroup and try again. Not passive-aggressively bully someone into submission. They’re also very much about having a strong foundation to present a united front.

15. Reaches for the other’s hand first: Depends where they’re at and what’s going on. Pre does it most often to be affectionate. Solus needs to ground herself some times because she’s getting anxious. Bo-Katan wants to keep up with them places and hand holding does just that.

16. Whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear at inappropriate times: Take your pick. They’re all terrible but Solus is probably the worst. 

17. Comes up with cheesy pick-up lines: Solus or Bo. Pre’s not really a pick up line person. Solus repeats funny one she hears. But, Bo’s find a weird delight in discovering new and terrible ones to try. If one of the others groans at how bad it was then the line was a success.
