    Helen’s head was throbbing. It hurt. It hurt so bad. Her vision was even blurred and she could barely make out the figure that had spoken to her. But she could make out the voice despite the ringing in her ears. Connor.  She could feel a wet liquid on the side of her head. She must’ve scrapped it on her way down. A curse eased past her lips as she tried to sit up. How far did she drop? How was she still functioning? She grimaced as she placed a hand on Connor’s chest.
