I wish there were more kid-friendly LGBT spaces. It’s not as if I can go to a gay bar to meet other gay people but there aren’t any real spaces where everyone is queer, and just talking about it in normal conversation terrifies me. What if the person I’m talking to is a homophobe? What if she/he is a violent homophobe? But, yeah, homophobes don’t deserve your respect and you deserve better than to feel bad for not giving it to them, you deserve to be loved and accepted and to feel safe and listened to and I hope that you find that in your future if you haven’t already. Take care of yourselves.
