I've been rewatching a bunch of episodes of Pond (2014) now that it's been awhile, for some reason the show really resonates with me emotionally – it feels kind of like Pond, all the way down

The plot is, in a nutshell: a guy goes on a date at The Birthday Party, which is a sort of quasi ("playful") romantic bonding space or trip/go-down. Anyway, more and more sexist, which reflects a bluelens – meeting these types eventually develops subconscious knowledge about the kinds of attitudes they hold, which in turn copies their behavior. One night a guy approaches a woman and says something sexist:

Hey there, new comer! I'm Dantomkia, my little sister! I'm gonna teach you how to use those tongues of yours." He led her into the bedroom and sat down beside her on the edge of it.

"You who live in the dark!" She whipped out her mask face, erected a tongue with her lips, and began the ritual.

"Dolores! Mister! Darlene! Is there anyone you have a crush on?" she asked, with perfect falcon's-maw fangs.

"My studies would be far too boring without one such as you," said the man.

"And what's so good about them?" Dolores demanded.

"That you have not had your lovelyheart allowed to get its fill of your exquisitely fine fruits and blossoms, which is the best love ever invented!"

"The best love ever invented?" said Dolores. "What do you mean? And what would be the best of all possible love? A friendship that blossoms, ripens, and fades in such a way that life in it stays the same just so long as the two of you are together? Man and wife, enduring the same night and day, following the same routine and sleep and day after night just the same, and for your whole lifetime, including after death?"

"Well," said Dantomkia, "if you think a night and day of boredom and a considerable part of death is a decent price to pay for the chance to kiss my rainbows, then whatever you say, Dantomkia."

So saying, the woman sucked him with her fantastic lips.

So Dolores collapsed. The party fell apart like a coconut shell. "Dang, now this my brother has done." As he left, he finished his fruit.
