I started drawing proper reference sheets for my OC 4 months ago and only just finished them last week, so PLEASE check out my new set I made for Jayce my beloved motorcyclist robot assassin! He has multiple identities and I adore him :>

DETAILS:

-Jayce's body is a combination of solid metal and soft vinyl that's padded to feel like flesh over his internals. He can change this on a whim exchanging parts (in many ways 😉), but personally likes being able to be "cuddle-able" for reasons he won't explain. If he's "injured" he bleeds a blue glowing fluid, but he cannot "bleed out". He has a sort of false healing factor that repairs on the spot.

-while he can change up his clothes, he's very particular to his style and attached to wearing his usual. He's picky and doesn't like being told what to do, so getting him to change is... difficult. He has a preference for leather over others.

-Jayce's main identity is technically a wanted criminal assassin, so he has a hard time casually being out and about wherever he's recognized. thus he's always on the move. As for his "Daytime" persona he uses for LEGAL racing, "bluejayy" is completely opposite to Jayce in a lot of ways- openly friendly, follows the rules, and is a good sport.

-Bluejayy, his persona, is used to participate and enjoy celebrity status and stardom but with limits- he always makes sure to avoid winning first more than once in a while, opting to purposefully place within the top 5 instead. He also rarely ever makes off-track appearances, making himself an 'enigma' people can never find outside races usually. He avoids sponsors who aren't non-profit, and doesn't like being under contract under anyone if he can help it.

-wings in his world are common, however flight capable wings are rare and expensive- outside of how difficult they are to maintain, you need to be registered to have them for safety and legal purposes (even if avoiding the law it paints a target on you big time). Thusly, he NEVER uses them in his other persona (bluejayy). Flight capability while uncommon is useful for his assassination purposes; not for hiding.

-Jayce's main bike is a custom that while it looks heavy and slow was made for endurance and maneuvering. He often is working to constantly improve its capability and comfort. It looks like him because he's rather vain. It can seat two people, though nobody yet has been allowed to ride it with him outside dire circumstances.

-Bluejayy's bike is a typical speed based cycle for racing- light as possible with as much power as possible. He customizes this bike frequently too, finding it amusing to make it look like his persona.

Why can I hear Ben Schwartz's voice every time I see Jayce?

I had to look up who that was and can say I’m kind of baffled by that conclusion lmao. He seems to voice higher pitched nasally characters which is the opposite of Jayce’s entire design? I intended jayce to be very stereotypical cool guy with moxie and confidence

Also Jayce wouldn’t really sound human to begin with, his “voice” would be on a deeper spectrum with electronic filters that he can change to mimic other peoples voices but his own “voice” he’d choose would probably sound like a vocoder filtered deep tone that’s smooth and confident with little emotional indication when talking to anyone who isn’t buggy.

I don’t have any kind of voice claim for him because I think it’d be really hard to make up how he sounds in my head based on existing voices lmao

Tbh I don't really see myself focusing on religious holidays for Jayce and his story because it's kind of more about enjoying robots and playing with futuristic society, and being an AI I don't think he has a concept for being religious a whole lot either.

Giving gifts is something he may do but personally he doesn't celebrate almost anything except cold victory over his enemies LOL

1-besides motorcycle racing (if that's considered a sport), is there any other sport that jay likes? 2- what is jay's sexuality (I know he likes men but I want to know if he only likes them or likes women too, a friend of mine liked him)

1) motorcycle racing is a sport yes; it's like any other kind of racing, it exists and has a big following i assure you. Jayce is into anything that involves speed but he prefers motorcycles most. He can race cars and on foot and do parkour (plus like. he can fly) but anything that makes him go fast without too many rules he may enjoy.

2) Jayce, admittedly, is a manifestation of my, a gay trans man's, desires lmfaoooo. He's like a physical representation of my attraction to men (including robots, helmets, and motorcycles) so yeah; he's also gay and into men like me! Sometimes you just gotta make a stupidly self indulgent OC yknow?

This bit btw isn't just for your knowledge but goes out to anyone reading this: Please don't draw jayce paired with other characters, OCs, or self inserts unless I know you personally or something because it would be really weird and kind of uncomfortable for me lmao. I've thought about drawing Jayce with some other robot OCs i've seen but not without asking those people and I typically am mutuals with them and know them to some degree lmao.

you can draw him if you like (please show me if you do) but don't do any shipping/fanfic/ otherwise with him is all i ask!

Can i... pet buggy, it looks pretty cute

Buggy would be absolutely offended if you DIDN'T offer head pats! buggy is very affectionate and loves getting attention, but you have to make sure to tell him how Very Cool and Powerful he is because he squeaks angrily if you baby talk him (but he is a huge baby. a really intelligent mini super computer database baby)

Jayce is always pretending to be too aloof to cuddle buggy but absolutely babies the crap out of him (they're besties)

does jayce have some kind of phobia?

He generally doesn't really have phobias so to speak; he's very fearless for the most part, but not without caution. There's very little that can directly phase him in a way that causes fear but he does get disgruntled or annoyed in response to stuff he doesn't like.

he does have ONE specific phobia-like major fear, which involves the poison-jar esque process of how he came to be what he is now; but that's a secret for later :)

I guess the other closest thing would be if the people he cares about were in danger but these days the people he cares about are very very very few
