Well i think in bluebys case. its not so much a tragedy because her love gives her comfort and happiness. The moon reminds her of moonlight and its pretty much a constant sight for her which gives her reassurance that shes safe and its already been so long since shes acknowledged that its kind of hopeless for them shes come to terms with what little she has. And for moonlight time passes to her in such a way that even if its like. infinity years before she can see blueberry pie again thats not very long in her eyes

Idg why i love the sad girls so much but bluemoon just hits sooooo different like yes they are sad but they dont just have little crushes on each other they LOVE each other even if they cant see each other in the foreseeable future they are IN LOVE that love is STILL ALIVE!!!!!
