I love that so much of the voter misinformation going on right now is just completely spearheaded by teens on stan twitter for whom this election is the first one they are actually sentient for saying funny shit like “If Pennsylvania wanted to codify abortion why did they vote Trump i don’t get it?? This means he rigged the vote right?” Like listen to me. The things you do not understand about how the median American votes could fill libraries. Congrats on finding this out

Blueanon we are so back
Just to be clear, Kamala conceded with grace and dignity but it is still well within everyone’s right to demand an investigation and even a recount with due cause despite a winner being declared. U.S.Americans have the right to demand free and fair elections (we don’t have a right to, say, start an insurrection like certain people did after the 2020 election).
Many, including major swing states, (Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and more) have already admitted to data and ballots not being recognized or lost and are recounting or calling for a recount. It usually takes days to count and record votes, a day after a bunch of election tampering is not enough.
If you used a mail-in ballot and haven’t yet, check if it was actually counted and “recognized.” A lot of mail-in voters from swing states found out that their ballots were uncounted today.

Okay, so to clarify, I did not say you were lying. You do not have to be lying for me to be annoyed with you.
Like, I'm in BC. When I went to vote, I also had issues, because my address has two cardinal directions in it and their system was very confused by that. By the time I got there, so many other people had had that issue who lived on the same street that they'd already figured it out, but they seemed pretty burnt out when I told them my address. Elections are big, and complicated, and staffed almost entirely by short-term volunteers. Of course there are issues.
My annoyance was not that your dad had issues, or that multiple people in your riding had issues. It's that you think that that's newsworthy. It's the part where you say "many people might have been told they could not vote today..."
...meaning what? What is your intended takeaway from that statement? Why are you trying to spread it around? What affect, if any, do you think a few people having temporary issues voting had on the election? After the BC election, the Conservatives lost, so they started saying there were "irregularities" and trying to start lawsuits. After the recent US election, folks on here started with the BlueAnon shit. And it all goes back to Trump and the og "Stop the Steal" attempted coup.
I'm just getting fucking sick of this shit. Every single time there's an election now, the side who lost starts questioning the legitimacy of elections. And that may not have been your goal, even if it fucking seems like it, but you're absolutely helping fascists. Even if you wanted this to be a standalone fact with no implications whatsoever, people will absolutely take it and run with it. You aren't reporting this to a newspaper, which is what you'd be doing if this was a real fear. You're sending a comment to a fucking Tumblr blog. You're just gossiping. And you're gossiping about our elections being unfair. Guess who that helps.
A bunch of people, I know personally of 3 in my parents riding, were told they had already voted and turned away at the polls even though they had not voted . My dad insisted that he had not and waited there until they could find a way to rectify it, but many people might have been told they could not vote today ...

They're convinced he must have done something serious because they just hate him so much that they can't accept that they ever lost to him.
And for that reason, I just don't listen to what the Democrat Fandom have to say about Trump.
#blueanon is only just a little bit more sane than #qanon.
The election denialism is just an exaggeration of bullshit Democrats were already doing. The J6 riot is just the logical conclusion of being cool with political riots burning down government buildings.
They even embraced "race conscious" policy, so they can't even complain about plans for "religion-conscious" immigration restriction. And they can't even complain about my attitude, since it's actually below the level of hostility they want to show "racists," and they are racist.
Well, 🤷.
If they roll back to 2010 norms and apologize for their behavior, I could be convinced to care.
My rule of thumb whenever reading about any culture war controvery du jour is to see which side *actually mentions the details of the object level debate.* Because usually one side says “can you believe Dr. Sososo said something in vague category of statements?” and the other side says “can you believe they are firing Dr. Sososo for [exact quote]” (or vice versa.) And while that’s not an absolute solution, the fact that someone doesn’t consider it favorable territory to engage in the terrain of the actual object level dispute says a lot to me.
The Trump indictment is weird because afaict *neither* Republican or Democratic talking-point-warriors want to talk about the object level details of the matter. Republicans don’t want to remind people “Trump paid off a stripper” and Democrats don’t want mention that the republic is being brought to the tipping point over “whether paying off a stripper eight years ago was a campaign finance violation.” (We much rather pretend the indictment is over his terrible decisions over four years as President… but it’s not.)
