love your worldbuilding ^^ have you read annihilation by jeff vandermeer? The movie is fine but the book has a totally different vibe that reminds me of your work with all the spec biology.

Thanks! I haven't and I haven't even seen the movie (I actually really wanted to but for some reason it never got a theatrical release where I live, I think?, and then I never got around to watch it later)

I know close to nothing of the story but the movie at least seems to have turned out pretty cool so maybe I will add it to my reading list.

hi all, went to a flea market today with sam blucolorpencil. v fun got these nice skirts and leather shoes BUT the glue of the soles legit detached mid walking my dog jfjfjdhsjs it was so funny but they're comfy and practically new so im gonna get them repair bc its just the glue but look jfjdjshsha

Is there any artist(s) that perfectly illustrate how you visualize murdoc and stu?

Oh, there are so many good artists in this fandom.

The first name that comes to mind is without a doubt @skeledraws / @kraniumet! Not only is Saskia just one of my favorite people in general but their art, the fantastic shapes and outfit pieces and references, is one of the big things that endeared me to the characters forever. Their Stuarts are simply premium, and their Murdoc is terribly Murdoc-shaped. 

Others I’ve been completely enamored with or capture some elements I wish the characters had include @1966jpg, @justa-cupofcoffee, @harvestkitty, artsupertrash on Instagram, robertfig on Instagram, @blucolorpencil, and definitely others I’m forgetting! And quite often I stumble across a piece of fanart from an artist I’m not familiar with (often one who doesn’t usually post Gorillaz, or one who is exclusively on Twitter or Instagram and thus I never see them) and boy does that brighten my day. But uh, hey, c’mon guys... post over here. Please? Some of us simply can’t survive elsewhere! On the rare occasion I look around on Instagram I always find some fantastic art that I wish I could keep up with more.

There’s a good chance you already have some inkling of what sort of art I like best (moreso for Stuart) and I’d trust your impression is probably right! Just stuff that makes him geezery, pilled-out, a bit ugly, thinning hair and snowshoe feet, or invokes Damon’s vintage-90′s flavour of prettyboy/fuckboy. I like art that feels like it has personality, a touch of realism or a unique style, and I also like art that isn’t too reverent to the characters and can make a joke. Of course that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate art that portrays the characters differently, but since you asked about how I visualize them, these are some that come to mind!
