Skyfall. How do you turn wood into a 14th century gothic limestone fireplace?First you will need extraordinary detailed drawings. Next you need some pretty fancy millwork. Now apply nine layers of gesso, paint, glaze, distressing, stippling, and finally clear coat. I didn’t say it would be easy! Or you could just hire Leo. Nothing Is Impossible. The Concept: Create a vintage Gothic limestone fireplace. Without using heavy real limestone because it will be installed onto a real stone wall. Solution.....fabricate it out of several layers of wood...add an ancient finish and grout lines. SWIPE LEFT. This shows it in production. The arch is just one layer that sits on top of the larger section of molding! I am sooo excited to watch this awesome idea come to life! The finished product will be posted as completed.
