WIP Wednesday!

Hi! Hi! I’m actually writing stuff! I know, I’ve surprised myself! 😆

I’ve been consumed by Baldur’s Gate so you’re going to have to deal with some BG3 content for now 😆

Don’t get me wrong, I still want to work on my other fandom stories, but currently I lack the inspiration for them… but at least I’m writing, right? ☺️

My BG3 character has quite an interesting backstory, I’m very happy with it! And it involves a certain charismatic Cambion, hope you like this snippet 💙

She quickly and quietly searched the camp until she saw a figure sitting above the camp by the top of the waterfall, his legs hanging over the edge of the cliff. She knew the path up there so decided to join him.

As she approached from behind she watched him cautiously; he seemed relaxed, the Cambion was leaning back on his hands looking up at the sky, his leathery wings were folded neatly behind his back and the only thing that currently moved was his tail, which flicked every so often, like a content cat.

I have big plans for my character and Raphael, it goes slightly off canon but I don’t care, I think it works well for my story, I’m very excited to properly start working on this ☺️

WIP Share!

I was tagged by @sylvienerevarine to share some WIP so here we are…

Sorry, it’s BG3 again 😅💙

Astarion wanted to explore the cause of the noises from the barn. Karlach was just happy to be free, she was skipping around and laughing to herself. Gale was explaining the medicinal properties of the flowers that Karlach had excitedly pointed out. And in the middle of the group, was Sal’theran, who was so caught up keeping an eye on her trio of chaos creators, she failed to notice a middle aged human man approaching them

“My, my, what manner of place is this?” Sal’theran spun around to look at the man; about Gales build, wearing a blue doublet that had red sleeves and the whole thing was trimmed with gold accents, his hair was dark brown with a slight hint of grey in places, with dark brown eyes, and Sal’theran could have sworn that his skin had a hint of red to it. “A path to redemption? Or a road to damnation? Hard to say, for your journey’s just beginning” the man gave her an easy smile as he spoke, a shiver ran up Sal’theran’s spine as she had the odd feelings that she’d seen this man before. “What would suit the occasion? The words to a lullaby perhaps?” Sal felt the presence of her new friends standing close by, although this man seemed oddly familiar she still felt safer knowing that she wasn’t alone. “‘The mouse smiled brightly: it out foxed the cat! Then down came the claw, and that, love, was that’” the man laughed to himself, “they do know how to write them in Cormyr don’t they? Well met. I am Raphael. Very much at your service.”

WIP Someday!

I was tagged by @sylvienerevarine to share some of a WIP. And I too a, stuck in Baldur’s Gate, and I’m snuggling up to a large bear, Druid, Elf… I’m happy with that 😆😉

Here is a little snippet from quite late into my story where Sal’theran finds a dear friend of hers had fallen victim to Orin the Red, luckily for her, her friends Halsin and Astarion are there for her

Also… my absence on here is because I’m working on a cosplay of my favourite bear, Druid, Elf 🥰

My BG3 OC!

Name: Sal’theran

Race: Wood Elf

Class: Cleric - Nature Domain

Age: 280

Background: Sal and her twin sister - Gilna - were born in the temple to Mielikki, their mother, who had been ill for some time while she carried them, died in childbirth. Sal’theran was named after her. The twins were raised by the leader of the temple - Larinwren, Wren for short - who is a High Elf Cleric and was a good friend to their mother.

They grew up in peace in the Lower City, Sal helped maintain the temple and trained with Wren to become a cleric, Gilna wanted to explore more and she honed her skills as a bard.

When they were 240 years old, Sal met a young Tiefling man, quite handsome with red skin, yellow eyes and brown hair, he was a paladin from Elturel, Zevlor.

The pair travelled together for about a year, becoming incredibly good friends in that time. Their party number grew not long after their first year together, when a Blue-scale Dragonborn joined them. Sharok, a Druid whose family was displaced by the Shadow Curse 60 years before, he had been born and raised in Baldur’s Gate. He was built more like a fighter or a barbarian than a Druid and he took an instant liking to Sal.

The pair developed an on-off relationship in a short amount of time which lasted until their adventures ended.

In the third year as a trio they welcomed their 4th member to their party, Sal’s twin sister, Gilna, she was so desperate for adventure.

When Gilna joined, the dynamics within the group shifted, she was trying to be the centre of attention as well as trying to start a romantic relationship with Zevlor. The young paladin had to frequently remind her that he, as a paladin, couldn’t maintain romantic relationships, when Gilna persisted he then had to clarify that he was Aroace and therefore hand no desire to have a romantic relationship of any kind, he would be her friend but nothing more.

Gilna considered his refusal as being spurned and took it bitterly, especially when she saw Zevlor and Sal together; their closeness, their physical contact, how he was so comfortable around Sal but not with her. Gilna was angry and jealous of Sal, so she left the group and was missing for about a month.

While the trio were in Baldur’s Gate for a break one weekend, Sal saw Gilna in an alleyway, so she left the tavern and followed her, not realising what her sister had planned for her.

8 stab wounds to the stomach and left to die.

The next thing she remembered vividly was waking up in her temple, with Zevlor at her side. Some memories of that time are hazy and hard to recall for her.

Once Sal was fully recovered, Zevlor had to leave, he had been summoned back to Elturel to return to the Hellriders. Their goodbyes were very emotional but they both promised to keep in touch.

Then Sharok left, much shorter goodbyes for him, he bought a tavern on the edge of the upper city and made it his own.

Sal, stayed in the Lower City for a long time, the attack from her sister had scared her, she feared leaving the safety of the temple for a very long time.

At the age of 271 (year 1483) Sal had only been venturing out of the confines of the temple for the last 10 years after the events with her sister when she was 244 years old.

On her way back from the market one day she found a severely injured white-scale Dragonborn called Tarak in an alleyway near her home, she helped him, healing him as best she could, he thanked her before quickly leaving.

About a month later they met again at a public speech of Councillor Enver Gortash and he thanked her properly for helping him.

The pair remained friends for several years before Sal discovered that Tarak was a Bhaalspawn, se was willing to remain friends with him but he insisted they part ways, his Urges were becoming harder and d harder to control, he practically had to beg her to stop being friends with him.

Life was quite calm and uneventful for Sal for the next 4 years after that, then she was abducted by mindflayers and infected with a tadpole

WIP… Any Day Really 😆

Ok so in my absence over the last month or so I’ve been tagged by… @seradyn @miraakulous-cloud-district @oblivions-dawn @wispstalk and @thelavenderelf (I’m sorry if I’ve missed anyone, but these were the only ones I could find in my notifications) to share something for WIP Wednesday

As I’m still not quite back into full swing of writing after such a long time away, I’ll just give you a little update on each of my projects ☺️

💙 - Far Horizons & Ancient Stones - Chapter 26 is nearly finished for this, I have a vague idea of how to wrap it up, but it’s just finding the right words that is currently eluding me

🧡 - The Blood Prophecy - I’m working on developing my OC for this one currently, Kristof is a very complex character with a just as complicated background, and I think I need to have a timeline planned out for him, more so than I need for Jaina

❤️ - Tall Glass of Red Wine - Temporary hiatus on this I’m afraid, I want to work on it but I dug myself into a plot hole and I need to sort that out before I can continue

💜 - Guard & Glaive - Nearly finished the prologue for this and I have several small prompts on the go too

💚 - The Legacy of the Herald - Could possibly start sharing this soon 🤔 but not 100% sure yet as it’s still in its early stages

🤍 - Cosplay - I’m thinking of working on a couple of projects in my spare time, without a deadline

💖 - Baldur’s Gate 3 - As yet untitled but I am wanting to write a story for this, I want a Halsin/Tav story with her closest friends being Gale and Astarion! I have already started writing down dialogue from the game and planning possible conversations! It’s an incredibly fun game and it’s been inspiring me a lot ☺️
