Post Scratch Cronus Peixes, The Emperor, The Bard of Life. (Bloodswap Dualscar)

After being brought into the service of Lord English (not swapping the Cherubs because there isn't much flexibility and it would make it even harder to come up with a story ANYWAYS) he travels to Pre-Scratch Earth to raise the young Bubbe Egbert and and Dave's Grandfather, Mr. Harley. There he sets up a sports shooting company, under the name of Billy Crocker.

He marries a sharp author of fantasy literature, who's tales of fantastical magycks and wizards besting evil enamored him. Her works are considered far ahead of her time and were not widely accepted by the existing literary circles of the era. Thus her works fell into obscurity but by the time the Beta Kids are born her works have been rediscovered and a young Rose Egbert is a devoted fan of these works. Her true name has been lost to time, only her male pseudonym remaining, Viscount Washbrook.

On Post-Scratch Earth, the Billy Crocker empire is bigger and more dominant, reaching into ever sector and facet of life on Earth and beyond. Post-Scratch Rose and Dave are raised under the oppressive presence of his destructively eccentric personality. The young Roxy Crocker is destined to be the heir to the corporate empire, although she is completely overwhelmed by the idea and instead spends much of her time distracting from this encroaching reality.

She's in her fiftieth sweep as an adult when it happens. She had been warned, as any Orphaner is, that it would come, that she would see it, but it had taken so long, she assumed it wasn't happening. After all, she had been in situations where she had to fight a lusus with her bare hands, where she was bloodied and had her bones broken, where she had barely managed to crawl back onto the ship in time to avoid being snatched by the tentacle monster she was feeding.

But the first time she saw the troll who's lusus she had killed, she was caught off-guard.

It was a land mission, rare as they were, and the word mission was generous. It was a report, delivered over the course of nights, about a large lusus worth killing. The small ones weren't worth the effort, would barely appease the beast. She had trudged through the dirt for almost a wipe, and wasn't entirely sure her tent would survive another full day in the sun, cheaply made as they were.

She had landed a clean blow between the sets of eyes on something insectoid, taller than she was. It bled a sickly green, denoting that it would care for gold or olive grubs. Just as she was starting to drag it back, wondering once again why the Orphaners were never grouped up, she heard a whine.

Grubs didn't learn to speak until they nearly molted, she heard. Often later. This one was fresh, its olive skin bright and light-catching. The lusus must have been moving it to a safer nest, to risk letting it in the open before it could hide. The grub whined, heedless of her, and battered the corpse with its legs.

There was no protocol on grubs. She knew she was inevitably going to see one, that it would die without a lusus to care for it. There was no rule for what they were supposed to do. Most of the Orphaners she spoke with killed them, if they were too small to survive. The molted grubs usually got told to run.

Get out of here. Her voice shook, and bile rose in her throat. Blood-stink coated the inside of her mouth. The grub wailed. You need to run. Find another one.

She knew that was impossible. She knew that a grub would be rejected. This one was covered in the scent of a lusus already. When she leaned down, her hand dwarfed it. She could crush it, kill it now, save it from this agony. No one would care for lost grubs, no one would keep them alive if not a lusus.

The grub turned its face into her palm. Hot tears smeared against her skin. It would be so easy to kill the grub, if she just closed her hand. Her knees landed on the ground hard enough to shake it, shocking the grub into another fit of wails. The sun would be coming up, soon.

They told her this would happen, she would see the grub she had just orphaned. They told her to kill it, to ignore it, to do her job. They didn't tell her how she was supposed to do that, seeing the bright gleam of the fresh-hatch, the way it crawled into her lap for any sense of security.

Following the lusus trail was easy; that was how she found it. The cave that it came from before, she saw, was covered in some kind of slimy fungus. The grub, now in her arms, curled against her chest, squirmed closer against her. She felt guilty, once again, and shushed it, though it wasn't complaining.

Another cave, and then she would leave. Give the grub a chance through the coming day. She promised herself that. Would she throw her life away, throw everything away, for a grub? Trolls weren't meant to raise grubs. She would end up killing it, somehow, give it the wrong food. But a new cave, she could find that, it would be fine.

The horns on the grub's head were strange to the touch, almost soft. It cooed, pressing itself into her palm. Once it woke, she would leave. Until then, she would rest. She could sleep until it woke, and then she would let it go, and go back to her life, her job, her meaning.

As soon as the grub on her chest, in the cave she found for it, woke.

that's meulin/disciple, the lovelorn (jade rainbowdrinker). she's his mom.

in case anyone wonders how the bloodswaps work in this timeline, everyone keeps their names but moves up one place in the spectrum, with the peixes swinging around to maroon, and changes their signs to match. some trolls have a new typing quirk, if their quirk was based around their old sign, to match their new one.

The Mindwipe is latula/redglare (cerulean) and His Imperial Vindicator is cronus/dualscar (fuchsia), and The Mothwing is Feferi (Maroon). The young trolls are all over 10 sweeps and have adult titles.

i dont have other names yet, they haven't come up in RP but i've been thinking of writing down the whole timeline of stuff.

red has textured horns because he's a succubus demon through past tumblr rp shenanigans and i don't intend on changing or resetting his character.
