Blood Moon Water Fast💫🌚⭐️ This photo is me two months ago after an 8 day water fast. I was supported of course by my Divine & Sublime Sisters of Alchemy, Gina Pentinou, Kwali Kumara & Carmen Miron, together we combated and conquered the addiction to food. We banished the illusion that you need to eat 3 times a day, in Kundalini they say food is the last addiction, I would agree, that and incessant thinking. A lot of people fear fasting but the truth is, it’s so liberating and healing, however, first we must realise and acknowledge that we are blessed to live a in a place where food is abundant, that the chance of starving is more than slim, excuse the pun. I’ve just broken my fast this morning, and it was such an honour to do it on the ‘Blood Moon’, it was a challange aI was offered so many offers of delicious food, each time there is a slight ‘fomo’ pang in my stomach, ‘oh no, what if I never get to eat that again’. It’s ridiculous but that’s what happens, so I simply speak truth to myself, "the food isn’t going anywhere, it’s always going to be there". It’s only 4 days out of your life, once you’re done you can eat something and feel a much deeper sense of appreciation for it-fact! It may seem like madness but its incredibly liberating, empowering and enlightening. We must look into our relationship with everything to see if it’s truly healthy, is it incrementally controlling and poisoning us or is it nourishing us as a medicine. For success, prime your mind prior to a fast with fasting talks as this confirms within you that it’s a sensible and wise choice. It’s amazing what else we can be nourished by when we create space for it; prayer, meditation, yoga, art making, writing, conscious conversation, walking, listening, music and so much more. The benefits of fasting are phenomenal, it rejuvenates and recalibrate’s your whole vibe, but make sure to break-fast consciously.
