RG Kar MCH the focal point of the Kolkata Rape and Murder Case. Only because monsters committed such a heinous crime with the Dr. Tilottoma.
Old articles are thought to show the numerous reported records which were ignored or unresolved.
--------------------------------------------------
1999:
The lone name to emerge from the shadows of 1999 was Madhusudan Sau, whose life reportedly ended in February of that year, leaving behind a veil of mystery and unanswered questions. No details have been shared or found about him, to date.
2001:
The mysterious death of fourth-year student Soumitra Biswas sparked allegations that he was murdered for attempting to expose a porn ring. Despite the arrest of a female student, Auromita Das, and police questioning members of the SFI, the case remains unresolved, with little progress made by the West Bengal Police CID.
2003:
In February 2003, two back-to-back incidents at RG Kar Medical College brought the total of suspicious deaths and suicides at the institution to four within a few years.
The cases include Arijit Datta (February 2003), who reportedly committed suicide by jumping off a hostel roof, and Praveen Gupta (February 2003), who survived a suicide attempt.
2016:
In October 2016, the decomposed body of RG Kar Medical College professor Gautam Pal, 54, was found in his locked South Dum Dum apartment. Police suspected a heart attack, as his bed was undisturbed, but blood stains, facial bruises, and the absence of a suicide note raised concerns. The contents of his stomach were preserved for poison testing.
2020:
In May 2020, 25-year-old trainee doctor Poulami Saha reportedly committed suicide by jumping from the 6th floor of the emergency building during the COVID-19 pandemic. While no suicide note was found, police indicated she had been suffering from depression. Conflicting reports suggested she may have jumped from the 11th floor, but the hospital did not confirm the suicide.
2023:
In January 2023, RG Kar Medical College student Sayan Mondal died during a trekking trip in Uttarakhand, marking a departure from previous incidents that occurred within the hospital. After reaching Brahmatal, Mondal collapsed while descending, suffering from severe breathing difficulties. He was rushed to Dewal Government Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
2023:
In August of 2023, intern Suvorojyiti Das, 23, from RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, died from an apparent drug overdose. The Tala Police classified the case as 'unnatural death,' attributing it to an antidepressant overdose, and found no suicide note or evidence of foul play. Das was discovered unconscious by his family and died in the hospital’s critical care unit after being rushed there.
2023:
In September 2023, a final-year medical student accused Sandip Ghosh of ignoring a ragging complaint and threatening him to falsely claim the issue was resolved. Despite Ghosh’s transfers, he frequently returned to the hospital. The student reported enduring physical and mental abuse over three years and criticized Ghosh’s inaction and favouritism towards certain students.
...
The fact is that this fucker Sandip Ghosh initially declared her death as a 'suicide' too, but I guess the evidence were too big for him to tamper with.
There might be more unreported cases Between all these years, especially 2003-2016 which were either hidden or voices were silenced.
Shame on you TMC for standing beside this man.

How Diagnostics Can Help Prevent the Spread of Disease?
Tumblr media
If you've ever been sick with a cold or the flu, you know how miserable it can be. You may have also wondered how you got sick in the first place. In many cases, infections are spread by people who don't even know they're carrying the disease. This is because symptoms of some illnesses, like the common cold, can take days or even weeks to develop.
Fortunately, there are ways to help prevent the spread of disease, even if you don't know you're sick. One of the most important things you can do is to get tested for infections as soon as possible. Diagnostics centers in south Kolkata can tell you if you have an infection and help your doctor determine the best way to treat it.
Types of Diagnostic Tests
There are many different types of diagnostic tests available. Some of the most common include blood tests, urine tests, and swab tests. Blood tests can be used to detect a variety of infections, including HIV, hepatitis C, and syphilis. Urine tests can be used to check for urinary tract infections (UTIs) or other problems in the urinary system. Swab tests involve taking a sample of mucus from the nose or throat and testing it for the presence of viruses or bacteria.
What to Do?
If you think you might have an infection, it's important to see a doctor as soon as possible. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent the spread of disease and make symptoms less severe. In some cases, it can even save your life.
If you're diagnosed with an infection, there are a few things you can do to help prevent spreading it to others. First, make sure to follow your doctor's instructions for treatment. This may include taking medication, getting rest, and drinking plenty of fluids. You should also avoid close contact with people who are sick and wash your hands often.
It's also important to know that you can still spread an infection even if you don't have any symptoms. This is why it's so important to get tested if you think you might be sick. Diagnostics centers in Kolkata can help identify infections early on, before they have a chance to spread.

Sourav Ganguly's Controversies
Tumblr media
Controversies have always surrounded Sourav Ganguly in his entire career. Who can forget his tiff with the former Indian coach Greg Chappell that almost destroyed his cricketing career! Here is the list of Sourav Ganguly’s controversies that have almost ruptured his image in professional life:
Disputation with Greg Chappell: Well, the most infamous controversies of his life that almost destroyed his career. Greg Chappel replaced John Wright as the coach of the Indian Cricket Team in 2005. During that time Ganguly was having a rough patch as he was not among runs in the last few matches. It was during that time that a few suggestions on his batting and captainship from Chappel didn’t go well with him. And the infuriated Ganguly spoke to the media against Chappel which sidelined him from the International cricket for one year despite regaining his form.
Parted ways with KKR due to split Captaincy: Ganguly led Kolkata Knight Riders in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League, however, the next season of the cash-rich tournament was staged in South Africa. The management went with the strategy of “multiple captains” and appointed Brendon McCullum as the skipper. That decision left the KKR fans fumed and the side also had one of the most disastrous seasons.
Conflict with Shane Warne in IPL: The rivalry between India and Australia was clearly visible during the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League in a match between Kolkata Knight Riders vs Rajasthan Royals. Supposedly KKR were to bat first but Ganguly didn’t show on on the crease on time. That left Rajasthan’s skipper Shane Warne annoyed which he later expressed in the front of the media.
Shirt Waive-off in Natwest Series: Ganguly hit the headlines yet again during the Natwest finals between England and India in 2002. Apparently, India had to chase down a stiff target of 326 runs to win the trophy. It was one of the most riveting and nail-biting contests that even forced the India skipper to open his shirt and waive off in the air as the Indian middle-order batsmen chased down the stiff target in a dramatic contest. Apparently, Ganguly did that deliberately because Andrew Flintoff’s did almost the same thing during England’s visit to India earlier that year.
Making Steve Waugh wait for the toss: Ganguly was in the headlines for yet again the similar reasons during the 2001 series against Australia. Apparently, the Australian skipper had to wait for the Indian counterpart for the toss which annoyed him and later he questioned Ganguly’s lack of respect for the game. Ganguly denied all the allegations of showing up late on most of the occasion saying he did that once as he couldn’t find his blazer.
Affair with the actress Nagma: Ganguly was under the limelight yet against in 2001 when a rumour of him dating the Bollywood actress Nagma spread on the social media all over. Before setting off for the series against Australia, Ganguly had visited a South Indian temple along with Nagma where it was alleged that he performed rituals that were performed by the married couples. However, his wife Dona rubbished all the rumours and stood by his side.
Refused to carry drinks on his debut: This takes us back to Ganguly as a rookie who had travelled to Australia with the Indian team during the 1991-1992 year. Ganguly was told to carry the drinks for his teammates which he refused to do so, which made him people say he was arrogant as a youngster. Later, after a few years, Ganguly recounted the incident as he bashed the then team manager Mr Ranbir Singh for his management skills.
Sourav Ganguly's Social Media
Sourav Ganguly is mostly active on Twitter and Instagram where he keeps his fans updated about his whereabouts and latest brand endorsements. Ganguly has over 1.3 million followers on Instagram and 5.1 million followers on Twitter. He also has an official page on Facebook but he is not so active there as he is on Instagram and Twitter.

<p>'Zero chance of survival' for 36 people trapped inside burning shopping Center</p>
Tumblr media
Philippine firefighters recovered one body from a burning shopping mall on Sunday and there was "zero" chance of survival for 36 other trapped people inside the four-story building in southern Davao town, an official said.
Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said firefighters told distraught relatives of the 36 trapped employees of a company outsourcing firm at the top floor of the NCCC Mall that nobody can endure the extreme heat and thick black smoke.
"They were told that the chances of survival are" she said, adding that among these trapped may be a Chinese or a South Korean, based on the name.
Rodrigo Duterte claims he once threw a kidnapper from a helicopter
It's uncertain when firefighters can break into many areas of the mall, where the blaze was put under control on Sunday morning although smoke continued to billow in the building. The won't cease until all those reported missing are found, Duterte-Carpio stated.
Researchers will determine the cause of the fire and the prospects of criminal lawsuits against the mall officials and owners would be based on the results of the investigation, said the mayor, who is the daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Duterte, the mayor and Roman Catholic Church officials went to the site and met with relatives of those trapped office employees late Saturday and asked them to pray. The president was photographed wiping his eyes with a handkerchief, his head bowed, at an emotional moment with all the relatives.
The mall's marketing manager, Janna Abdullah Mutalib, said the fire began Saturday morning at the third floor where clothing, appliances and furniture are sold, after a storm hit Davao and flooded parts of the city. Except for a grocery at the ground floor and the company outsourcing firm at the top floor, the shopping places were closed to the public once the fire began mid-morning, preventing a larger tragedy amid the peak buying season.

Duterte functioned as Davao mayor for several years before being elected to the presidency this past year.
It's been a challenging season for the tough-talking, 72-year-old leader, who faced his most serious crisis when countless pro-Islamic State group extremists laid siege on Marawi city, also in the southern third of the Philippines. He declared martial law in the south to take care of the insurrection, which troops crushed in October.
The storm that blew from the southern Philippines on Sunday reportedly left more than 120 people dead with 160 others still missing.

Brazil Covid: Deaths plunge after town's adults vaccinated
A Brazilian town has seen a 95% drop in Covid-19 deaths after almost all adults were vaccinated as part of an experiment, researchers say.
Serrana, with 45,000 inhabitants, saw cases plunge after a mass vaccination with the Chinese-developed CoronaVac.
Tumblr media
The team said those who had not been vaccinated were also protected by the reduction in the virus's circulation.
https://zenodo.org/communities/monase/about/ https://zenodo.org/communities/mingbazck/about/ https://kenny.instructure.com/eportfolios/11229/Home/__my_love__20211080P https://kenny.instructure.com/eportfolios/11230/Home/_TW9_2021__HD___HD1080p https://atrain.instructure.com/eportfolios/9717/Home/_9_2021HD__9__F9_4K_9_ https://renggoo.mypixieset.com/ https://comresjazz.wordpress.com/2021/06/01/brazil-covid-deaths-plunge-after-towns-adults-vaccinated/
The findings suggest the pandemic can be controlled after 75% of people are fully dosed.
Brazil has been hit hard by the pandemic, with nearly 463,000 deaths.
The country is struggling with a slow vaccination campaign due to insufficient jabs, while the average of daily deaths and cases remains high amid a lack of co-ordinated measures to curb infections.
Covid map: Where are cases the highest? What do we know about China's Covid-19 vaccines? The experiment in Serrana, in the south-eastern São Paulo state, was carried out between February and April by Instituto Butantan, which produces the CoronaVac vaccine developed by China's Sinovac Biotech.
The city was divided into four areas to help determine the threshold for containing the virus. The team said this was achieved after three areas, or about 75% of the population over the age of 18, had been given both doses.
When 95% of adults were fully vaccinated, they said the results showed that:
Deaths fell by 95% Hospitalisations fell by 86% Symptomatic cases fell by 80% Ricardo Palacios, research director at Butantan, said the key figure was the 75%.
"The most important result is that we can control the pandemic without having to vaccinate the whole population," he said.
Mr Palacios also said there was a decline in the number of cases among children and teenagers, who had not been vaccinated. This could indicate that there was no need to vaccinate children for schools to reopen, he said.
According to Mr Palacios, the vaccine was also effective against the variant originally known as P.1, and now called Gamma, that was first identified in the northern city of Manaus and has been blamed for a surge in cases across the country.
Serrana, some 315km (195 miles) from São Paulo, is surrounded by cities that are grappling with a spike in infections. A lockdown is in place in Ribeirão Preto, located 24km away with a population of 710,000.
The results of the experiment could give a boost to the CoronaVac, which is being used by dozens of developing countries. There was some controversy about the vaccine this year, after clinical trials in Brazil, Indonesia and Turkey put its efficacy in a range of 50% to 90%.
The CoronaVac is an inactivated vaccine, and works by using killed viral particles to expose the body's immune system to the virus without risking a serious disease response.
The experiment in Serrana was the first of its kind in the world, its authors said. There were no reports of severe side effects from the vaccine and no Covid-related deaths among those who had been vaccinated 14 days after the second shot was applied, the results showed.
A similar study is being carried out in another Brazilian city, Botucatu, which has a population of 148,000. Researchers are using the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine, produced locally by the Fiocruz institute.
Brazil has the second-highest Covid death toll in the world after the US, and the third-highest number of cases, at more than 16.5 million. The Brazilian Senate is holding an inquiry into President Jair Bolsonaro's handling of the pandemic and the slow roll-out of the vaccine programme. In May, a middle-aged-man suffering from Covid-19 was admitted in an intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital in the eastern Indian city of Kolkata.
As his condition deteriorated, the patient was put on a ventilator. He was administered steroids, a life-saving treatment for severe and critically ill Covid-19 patients. But experts say the drug also reduces immunity and pushes up blood sugar levels in patients.
After a prolonged stay in the ICU, the patient had recovered and was ready to go home when doctors found he was infected with a deadly, drug-resistant fungus.
Candida auris (C. auris), discovered a little over a decade ago, is one of the world's most feared hospital microbes. This bloodstream infection is the most frequently detected germ in critical-care units around the world and has a mortality rate of around 70%.
"We are seeing an increased number of patients with the infection during the second wave of Covid-19. There are a lot of sick people in the ICUs and many of them are on high steroid doses. That could be the reason," Dr Om Srivastava, a Mumbai-based infectious diseases specialist, said.
What are the fungal infections on the rise? As the second wave washes over India and severely ill patients clog the ICUs, doctors are seeing an uptick in a host of dangerous fungal infections.
First, there was an outbreak of mucormycosis or the black-fungus, a rare but dangerous infection, which affects the nose, eye and sometimes the brain. Some 12,000 cases and more than 200 deaths from the disease have been already recorded.
Aspergillus fumigatus, fungus responsible for severe infections as aspergilloma, disease in humans and birds such as bronchopulmonary aspergillosis and aspergilloma. Seen under an optical microscope IMAGE COPYRIGHTGETTY IMAGES image captionThe Aspergillus fungus affects the lungs, and it can also be fatal Now doctors are reporting a rise in other deadly fungal infections in Covid-19 patients, mostly after a week or 10 days of stay in the ICU.
There are two species of Candida fungi - auris and albicans - and they can be fatal for human beings. Aspergillus, which is another kind of fungi group, affects the lungs, and it can also be fatal.
Of the more than five million types of fungi, Candida and Aspergillus are the two major groups which cause a lot of human deaths.
Candida is a germ that can be present on many surfaces, like shower curtains, computer screens, doctor's stethoscopes and railings of railway carriages.
Doctors say C. auris frequently causes bloodstream infections, but can also infect the respiratory system, the central nervous system and internal organs, as well as the skin.
Aspergillus also remains in the environment and is often found in heating or air conditioning systems. Normally our immunity helps prevent the entry of the fungal spores in the respiratory tract.
But in patients suffering from Covid-19, the fungus, helped by the damage done to the skin, blood vessel walls and other linings of the airway by the coronavirus, manages to enter the respiratory tract.
This infection affects about 20% to 30% of the severely ill, mechanically ventilated Covid-19 patients, according to Dr SP Kalantri, medical superintendent of the 1,000-bed non-profit Kasturba Hospital in Wardha, Maharashtra state.
What are the symptoms of the infections? Symptoms of some fungal diseases can be similar to those of Covid-19, including fever, cough, and shortness of breath.
For superficial Candida infections, symptoms include a white coloured thrush - hence sometimes it is called the "white fungus" - in nose, mouth, lungs and stomach or nail beds.
For a more invasive form of infection - when the bug travels into the blood - the symptoms are often a fall in blood pressure, fever, abdominal pain and urinary tract infections.
Why are these infections happening? At least 5% of Covid-19 patients become critically ill and require intensive-care treatment, sometimes for a long period.
Experts say that those who are put on mechanical ventilation are always at greater risk of developing bacterial or fungal infections.
Rohan Aggarwal, 26, a resident doctor treating patients suffering from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), talks to a colleague while tending to a patient during his 27-hour shift at Holy Family Hospital in New Delhi, India, May 1, 2021. IMAGE COPYRIGHTREUTERS Lowered infection control in crowded intensive-care units during the pandemic is a major reason, say doctors.
Overworked staff in clunky protective gear, increased use of major fluid tubes, decrease in hand washing compliance and changes in cleaning and disinfection practices contribute to lower infection control.
"With a prolonged pandemic, complacency and fatigue has set in among healthcare workers. Infection control practices have gone down. That is the major cause," says Dr Arunaloke Chakrabarti, president of the International Society of Human and Animal Mycology.
There are other reasons too.
Overuse of steroids and other drugs, which weaken the body's immune system, and underlying conditions make Covid-19 patients in critical care more prone to such infections.
"These fungi typically cause infections after the body's immune system is suppressed significantly. They are also known as opportunistic infections," says Dr Zachary Rubin, an immunologist.
Dr Rubin says patients with HIV/Aids have a significantly increased risk of getting sick with such fungi. "These fungal diseases are normally rare in association with Covid-19, but are becoming increasingly more common in India."
Diagnosis is not easy - testing typically requires a specimen from deep in the lungs. And the drugs are expensive.
"It is very worrying and frustrating for the doctors treating these infections. It is a triple whammy - the patient's lungs are already damaged by Covid-19, they have bacterial infections and now the fungal infections," says Dr Kalantri.
"It is almost like fighting a losing battle." The military has been called in to speed up NHS Lothian's vaccine roll out, the health board has confirmed.
It said that the move was to ensure the number of vaccines administered in the area could be scaled up in line with national guidance.
British Army soldiers helped to establish 80 Covid vaccine centres across Scotland earlier this year.
Last week the board apologised to patients who had to wait in long queues to receive their vaccines.
Lockdown easing paused for millions in Scotland Live: Latest on Nicola Sturgeon's levels announcement What level will your area be in? NHS Lothian's Pat Wynne said that the board had invited the Armed Forces back to two vaccination centres where they had previously helped, and they would now return to provide extra capacity.
He said: "The vaccination programme is accelerating across Scotland, in line with national guidance, to help beat new variants and provide protection to as many people as possible.
"NHS Lothian has previously worked with the British Army in two of our vaccination centres and we have invited them to return to provide extra capacity across our centres and join the race to administer the lifesaving vaccine to people of all ages and backgrounds.
"So far, the number of vaccination appointments in Lothian has increased by an extra 11,000 this week alone, bringing the total to 97,000. These are not just first dose appointments but also include people who need to have their second dose and those who rescheduled their appointments."
Mr Wynne said the armed forces would join NHS Lothian's team of nearly 1,200 vaccinators and almost 100 admin staff when they begin work at centres next week.
He added that NHS Lothian vaccinators who work on a part-time or shift basis as part of the board's staff bank were also being contacted by email and text to offer extra shifts to continue to boost extra capacity.
The Edinburgh Evening News reported on Tuesday that vaccinators were sent a text last week warning that more staff were "urgently" required for this week.
According to the paper, the text read: "Covid mass vaccination centres are in a critical position on Monday 31 May.
"We urgently require vaccinators in all sites this week. Please consider helping the NHS in this difficult period".
NHS Lothian said recruiting extra staff members to work with core staff to meet additional capacity was "standard practice".
'Very high' uptake in Glasgow On Monday, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde apologised after people were left waiting in long queues to receive their vaccines.
It said that reduced staffing due to the bank holiday and "very high" uptake over the previous few days had led to long waits.
A spokesperson for the board said: "As the uptake has been higher than expected at The Hydro today we are experiencing queues.
"We apologise to patients who have been waiting a long time to get their vaccination. Due to the bank holiday, our staffing numbers are slightly less than usual but our team of vaccinators are working tirelessly to ensure we're able to see everyone who has shown up for their appointment today.
"We've also moved additional staff from other less busy sites to assist." UK manufacturing is growing at its fastest rate for almost 30 years as the easing of lockdown unleashes pent-up demand, according to a survey.
The IHS Markit/CIPS Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) reached a high last month of 65.6, up from 60.9 in April.
Any reading above 50 indicates growth, and April's figure was the highest since the survey began in 1992.
But there are also signs that suppliers are struggling to keep up with demand.
"Record growth of new orders and employment supported one of the steepest increases in production volumes in the near 30-year survey history," said IHS director Rob Dobson.
Mr Dobson said growth is being boosted by the unlocking of economies from Covid restrictions and ongoing vaccination programmes.
"This is being felt across the globe, as highlighted by a record rise in new export business during the latest survey month," he said.
Heinz tomato ketchup to be made in the UK again UK set for stronger post-Covid recovery, says OECD British exports worth billions face EU tariffs However, the survey indicated that many suppliers are struggling to keep up with the increased demand, which is pushing up the average delivery times to manufacturers.
Businesses particularly highlighted shortages of electronics, plastics and metals, and there were also delays in transport.
In turn, this has led to the highest rise in the cost of supplies since the survey began in 1992, causing manufacturers to increase their own prices.
'Delivery squeeze' Simon Jonsson, head of industrial products at KPMG UK, said: "Confidence is high among manufacturers as demand continues to soar, but there's a danger that many are only seeing the weather in front of them.
"Our closest European neighbours - France and Germany - are also witnessing similar levels of demand for their products. Supply chain bottlenecks are now starting to appear in Germany and fingers are crossed we will not see the same elsewhere."
Duncan Brock, group director at the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, said: "The march of the makers has turned into a sprint as the blocks of lockdowns have been removed, but we haven't seen this level of price inflation on materials for decades."
He warned that supply chain managers anticipate a continuing squeeze on deliveries and are forward-buying and building stocks, so we may not have seen price peak yet.
"This means bigger inflationary pressures for the wider economy and the country's place in international trade," Mr Brock said.
Presentational grey line Analysis box by Andy Verity, economics correspondent The beginning of a spending splurge? Bank of England chief economist Andy Haldane has an economic crystal ball that is sometimes dysfunctional. Last summer he predicted a V-shaped recovery that got crushed by Covid's second wave.
But in February, when others were more downbeat he predicted households would drive a rapid recovery in 2021, spending savings of around £250bn. Today's manufacturing data, dominated by the auto industry, suggest he may be right second time round.
While some of the pent-up demand for cars is domestic, much of it is global - not least from the reopened economies of the Far East. The steepest increases in production in three decades is not pure good news because the manufacturers are struggling to meet demand, source enough raw materials and recruit the staff they need.
And there's strong inflationary pressure - with prices of raw materials shooting up faster than they have in three decades.
There's not much you can do with interest rates to curb surging global commodity prices. But Haldane and his colleagues may have to act if that inflationary pressure starts to spread to the rest of the domestic economy, with serious consequences for the affordability of large debts which poorer households and small businesses have been forced to take on.

Shreyas Iyer Personal Life
There’s a touch of middle-class realism to Shreyas Iyer’s tale! Shreyas Iyer was born in Mumbai to Santosh Iyer and Rohini Iyer on the 6th of December, 1994. Iyer’s father noticed his cricketing talent and helped him nurture it. Santosh, a businessman who used to work from home at the time, was instrumental in Shreyas choosing cricket over football.
Pravin Amre, a student of the legendary coach Ramakant Achrekar, spotted Iyer at the heart of Mumbai’s local cricket hub- Shivaji Park Gymkhana at the age of 12. Amre noticed a boy hardly even in his teenage years, was timing strokes of the front and back foot twice his height and nailing cover drives and pulls.
Iyer’s teammates at the age-group levels compared him to Virender Sehwag. After early education, Iyer went on to complete his graduation from Podar College in Mumbai. He represented the college team and lifted various trophies.
Shreyas Iyer Career
A 20-year-old Iyer joined Clifton Village Cricket Club of the Clifton University in Nottingham and was the youngest player in the side. Ironically, Iyer had not played a single first-class match. All he had was the 67-ball 109 vs Australia U-19 and three matches in the U-19 Cricket World Cup, in which he had scored 161 runs.
Iyer was Living alone in a foreign country with completely different weather conditions. However, he did not disappoint. Iyer played 3 games scoring 297 runs at an average of 99. Furthermore, he broke the team’s record with the highest score of 171.
Apart from playing for India and Delhi Capitals, Shreyas Iyer has played for India U19, West Zone, Mumbai, India A, Indian Board President’s XI, India B, Mumbai Cricket Association XI, India Blue, India Green, Board President’s XI, Rest of India and NaMo Bandra Blasters.

Shreyas Iyer returned to India and joined the Mumbai Ranji team in November 2014. He made his List-A debut in the 2014-15 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
In the first season, Iyer scored 273 runs in 6 matches at an average of 54.60 and a strike rate of 92.85. His highest score in the tournament was 105*. Iyer finished as the 14th highest run-scorer in the tournament and 2nd highest run-scorer in the Mumbai team.

In the same season, Iyer played crucial innings of 95 for Mumbai against the Railways. After the match, Rohit Sharma praised him.
“I had heard from people in our (Mumbai) dressing room that he’s been in good nick. I’m glad about the way he is batting. I was enjoying it from the other end. He reminded me of Sehwag a little bit because that’s how he used to bat. He batted pretty well. Whatever he’s been doing of late, it’s pretty good to see that,” the Hitman said.
Iyer continued to perform consistently in domestic cricket. The 2016-17 Ranji season saw him score 725 runs at an average of 42.64 a scored 2 centuries and 2 half-centuries. IPL Career
Iyer’s performances in the 2014-15 domestic season caught eyes, including that of Indian Premier League teams. In February 2015, Delhi Daredevils purchased him for a whooping ₹2.6 crores. The young batsman became the highest-earning uncapped player of IPL 8.
Shreyas was a light of hope in a dull season for DD. Iyer finished the tournament with 439 runs in 14 matches at an average of 33.76 and strike rate of 128.36. He was also announced as the emerging player of the year.
However, Iyer was not able to build on his promises in the next IPL.Iyer player only 6 matches, scoring a paltry 30 runs with a disappointing average of 5. Delhi continued disappointing as they failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Shreyas hit 10 maximums on his way to a third consecutive half-century. The next season, Delhi Daredevils were rebranded to Delhi Capitals with the hope to change fortunes.
The ownership decided to retain Shreyas Iyer and his army of young blood with a mixture of experience. Iyer led the Delhi Capitals to the playoffs after seven years, where their dream run ended when DC lost to eventual runners-up CSK. With the bat at number 3, Iyer had his best IPL season, as he managed to score 463 runs in sixteen matches at an average of 30.86 and strike rate of 119.94.
T20 Career
Shreyas Iyer’s feisty playing style along with his records in both the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well as the IPL caught selectors eyes. In October 2017, Iyer received his India National Cricket team callup for the T20 series against New Zealand.
On his T20I debut in the 1st of November 2017, Iyer did not get a chance to bat as Indian openers Shikar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma led India to a 53-run victory. In the next match, Iyer scored 23 runs off 21 balls as he steadied the ship with Virat Kohli after Indian openers lost their wickets early.
In the decider of the series, Iyer failed to perform as he scored 6 runs before getting caught and bowled in an 8-over-per-side match.
However, Indian bowlers were able to control the Kiwis as the Men in Blue picked up the trophy. Shreyas Iyer’s most notable T20 international performance for the Men in Blue came more recently.
