Here’s why you shouldn’t miss out on Generation Digital Happening on November 18

Prior to influencer marketing becoming a buzz word and something being used on a regular basis and all these influencer marketing companies emerging left and right, Blogapalooza served as the pioneer in bringing bloggers to businesses and vice versa. 

The first Blogapalooza event was held in 2011 and every year since, an event to bring together bloggers from different industries and different parts of the Philippines would take place. Come to think of it, it was through the success of these events that Blogapalooza eventually became a household name. 

In 2015, Blogapalooza was officially incorporated, making it the Philippines’  premiere influencer marketing company. Personally, I have been to two Blogapalooza events and in both instances, I went home with a smile on my face and with more valuable insights than I did when I stepped foot in the venue.  I was once a non-believer of the influencer marketing industry (or the blogosphere, as some would still call it) so trust me when I say that these reasons are as neutral as they could get. 

1. YOU GET TO INTERACT WITH DIFFERENT BRANDS. 

The first time I attended Blogapalooza was in 2016. I was only starting out as a freelancer then and I only got to attend because a friend who was part of the team invited me. I wasn’t even blogging at that time! It’s not everyday that you get to rub elbows with brand managers or key decision makers who are open to partnerships. 

As an influencer, one of the biggest problems you’d be faced with is the scarcity of projects when you don’t have hundreds of thousands of followers under your sleeve or when you’re not Mr./Ms. Congeniality who knows literally every PR person out there. This is one of the problems we’re trying to solve but hey -- regardless of which industry you’re part of, networking remainds very very valuable. 

2. YOU GET TO LISTEN TO INSIGHTFUL TALKS FROM ONLY THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY. 

During my second time attending Blogapalooza, I was already part of the team. One of my tasks was to make sure the entire thing was on Facebook Live so I really got to listen to the talks. You’d be surprised to learn things not only applicable to social media but to life in general. 

This year, we’re switching up things a bit as there will be panels on different topics throughout the day instead of talks. I’m actually quite ecstatic because this would mean that we all  get to listen to more bright minds and be able to acquire more insights. 

Just between you and me, I hear industry giants such as Carlo Ople and Social Media Superstar Joyce Pring are some of the panelists/speakers who’ll be on stage! Perhaps you should follow Blogapalooza’s Facebook page to verify if this is true? *wink* *wink*

3.THIS MIGHT JUST BE THE PUSH YOU NEED TO GET ON WITH THAT PASSION PROJECT YOU’VE BEEN PUTTING OFF FOR WAY TOO LONG. 

The explanation to this in itself is another reason you should go : you’d see for yourself  that  bloggers, or influencers, so to speak, aren’t simply brand-promoting, feed-curating, social media-obsessed people. Some bloggers are doctors, lawyers, IT professionals, business owners, artists in their own right and the list goes on. 

Interacting with people who are fueled by ambition and passion for different things will inspire you to go after the things you love. At the very least, inspire you to look for something to pour your heart into. 

Last year, I met so many people in the Blogapalooza community. Because of the inspiring stories I’ve heard, I finally found the courage to start my own blog and it made me realize how madly in love I am with writing. To add to that, “blogging” has led me to some amazing places and pretty awesome people I consider really good friends. Which leads me to my next reason -- 

4. YOU’LL MAKE NEW FRIENDS.

More than  being a company or a brand, we want the Blogapalooza Community to be a family-like, all-inclusive environment where anyone and everyone is welcome. 

Be nice, don’t be scared to say hi first and smile! You never know who you’ll come across. 

5. THE AFTER PARTY IS GOING TO BE AWESOME! 

Blogapalooza partnered with LionHearTV.net, the country’s biggest entertainment blog. Shortly after Generation Digital, RAWR Awards will follo at Chaos Manila. 

6. WE’RE RELAUNCHING BUZZIN, A PLATFORM THAT’S LIKE NONE YOU’VE EVER SEEN.

The lack of strategic fit remains to be the biggest problem in the influencer marketing industry here in the Philippines. Buzzin is an artificial-intelligence powered system that is able to profile influencers based on their current content, online behavior, interests and engagement. 

We’ve soft-launched the system last year but we’re not fans of anything half-baked so we’re launching it again. This time, better and like non you’ve ever seen. 

Some people have relatively lesser followers but create pretty good content. Some have sooo many followers but aren’t fit for the brands they’re working with. Through Buzzin, everyone gets a fair chance at getting projects that fit they’re interests and audience. 

EVERYONE, BOTH THE INFLUENCER and the BUSINESS ARE HAPPY! EVERYBODY WINS! YAY!
