Summary

Leon and Scarlett end up going out for lunch, Ada was on her lunch break and she sees them at a restaurant…

The sun shined through the sheer blinds. Leon woke up realizing Scarlett wasn’t next to him, he started to look around the large room and then he smelled the glorious smell of something cooking from downstairs.

Leon got up from the bed and went downstairs to see Scarlett cooking bacon and eggs for the both of them.

“Good morning Scar,” he greeted the girl as he looked her up and down.

“Good morning baby,” Scarlett greeted back. “Hope you like my cooking, I don’t cook often but I know the basics,” She told him while putting the food on the table.

“I’m sure it tastes fine love,” Leon said as he gave her a reassuring smile.

Leon waited for the food to cool off then he finally took a bite of her eggs. Leon suddenly had a surge of immense joy inside of but he pushed it down.

“The food tastes delicious Scar,” he told her. Leon hadn’t had a good home-cooked meal in a while ever since he and Ada started, Just fast food, no homemade food since he and Ada started fighting. He missed the times when they were loving toward each other.

A few hours later…

Scarlett was waiting patiently for Leon to arrive at the coffee shop, she was about to call him but that’s when he walked through the door.

“Sorry, I’m late Scar,” Leon apologized.

“You're totally fine,” Scarlett said reassuring him as she got up to order her coffee. Leon followed behind her.

The cashier greeted them as she asked what kind of coffee they wanted.

“Can I get a medium caramel coffee with cold foam, please,” Scarlett ordered.

“Can I just get a coffee with creamer,” Leon ordered as well.

"That will be $7.86," the cashier said.

Leon paid for the drinks while Scarlett went to find a table for them. They decided to reminisce since this was the coffee shop that started it all.

"I mean, I still can't believe that a mixed-up coffee order turned into an affair between us," Scarlett said while laughing with immense joy.

Flashback…

“Sorry for the mix-up, this isn’t the first time this has happened,” the woman said as she playfully laughed.

“Your perfectly fine,” the man said with a faint smile.

“May I ask for your name?” the woman asked.

“Leon,” he answered.

“Mine’s is Scarlett,” she said.

The two started to conversate and they realized they had a lot in common, they decided to exchange numbers to keep in touch with each other. They became really good friends within months.

A couple of days later…

Leon arrived at his home and decided to sit down for a little bit before, he decided to put on street clothes and head out for a walk. He walked upstairs and heard his wife talking to somebody.

"I know baby, I'm gonna tell him eventually but now is not the time because I need this job," Ada argued on the phone.

Ada remained silent for a short moment

"Ok, I'll tell him eventually..." Leon started to walk away from the area while Ada's voice faded out.

He left the house not even wanting to hear the rest of the call. Leon decided to take a walk to clear his mind when Scarlett called him.

"Hey Leon," Scarlett greeted him.

"Hey Scarlett," Leon dryly said.

“You okay? you sound a little sad,” Scarlett asked concerned.

Leon told her everything that happened, he felt like his whole world was shattering but he didn’t let that stop him. He wanted to get his own back…

Present time…

Ada was on her lunch break, and she stopped at a nearby coffee shop but she saw something that ticked her soul, She saw her husband and another female eating together.

Leon was talking to Scarlett when he saw Ada in the corner of his eye.

“And then when I took my dog out-, Leon are you listening,” Scarlett asked as she questioned him.

Leon didn’t respond still staring at Ada. Scarlett started to get irritated by his actions.

“What are you looking at,” Scarlett blustered before she looked behind her.

“Oh, I see now, I’m just gonna go, Leon, see you next time,” Scarlett sighed.

“Wait, don’t go,” he begged as he grabbed Scarlett’s arm from walking any further.

Scarlett didn’t make any eye contact with him, That’s when Ada walked through the door. “So what’s going here, Leon?” Ada questioned.

Eyes were drawn onto them as people started whispering. “Ada, let’s not do this here,” Leon gritted out.

“No, we are going to do this here, why are you here with another woman?” Ada bawled out.

“Maybe if you didn’t cheat on me, this affair wouldn’t even be a thing right now,” Leon clarified.

A pure golden silence filled the room. “What are you talking about?” Ada questioned feeling eyes all over.

“I know you cheated on me with your boss Ada, I know everything. I overheard your conversation with him a few months ago,” Leon revealed.

“You wanna know where all of our money is going, it’s going to this woman right here because she has been there when I was ever feeling down while you just criticized me whenever. All we do is argue nowadays, I love Scarlett,” Leon blurted.

Scarlett just stood there trying to take in everything that just happened. She knew she needed to say something but she didn’t.

Ada stood in place shocked before she walked out.

“This is over Leon Kennedy, we are getting a divorce as soon as possible,” Ada bellowed before she left.

Leon and Scarlett left the coffee shop and they both sat down on a bench nearby. It was silent before Scarlett finally spoke up.

“Leon, thank you for that,” Scarlett thanked him as she hugged him.

Before Scarlett could say anything else, Leon’s lips were already on hers. She instantly kissed back liking the feel of his lips on hers. They pulled back after a few minutes.

“I love you, Leon,” Scarlett confessed as she hugged him

“I love you too Scarlett…”

"Tell me, where is all of the money of our’s going?" Ada asked him annoyed.

Ada sighed and walked away irritatedly.

"Lord what have I gotten myself into," Leon thought to himself.

As some time went by, Ada came down with a suitcase filled with clothes. Leon's phone rings and Ada sees him look down to see who is calling him. "So do you not have anything to say," Ada said as she scoffed.

Leon was speechless as he thought to himself, this was different from the other times that he and Ada argued, She was really serious this time.

"Guess not," she said as she closed the front door behind her.

Leon just stared at the door stoically answering the call from the woman he was having an affair with.

He pulls out a teeshirt and some boxers for her to wear. And her other clothing was in the washer.

Leon closes the drawer and turns around to see her sitting there cold.

“Here,” he says handing Scarlett the clothes. “Thanks, now turn around,” the girl tells him as she stands up.

He raised an eyebrow and gave a confused look. “You want me to turn arou-“

“Yes turn Leon, please.” She says cutting him off. The man stiffly laughs before turning around and putting his hand on his hips

“I can’t believe you’re telling me to turn around right after we had sex,” he says.

Scarlett rolls her eyes and slips the article of clothing on before folding the towel up and tapping his shoulder.

“So what? It’s different,” she says to him as he turns around. She hands him the towel and goes to sit down on the bed.

Leon threw it in the dirty clothes and walked over to the bed before lying down.

She looks over at him and he holds the covers up for her.

She gave a debated look before going under as well. He wraps the covers around her and rests her head on his chest.

A few minutes of golden silence filled the air till Scarlett finally spoke up.

"Why the sudden change of heart Leon?" Scarlett asked him.

"Just felt like I should treat you better Scar," Leon answered her.

Scarlett felt her face become flushed along with her heart beating out of her chest. "I'm glad you changed love," Scarlett said softly.

“I'm glad I met you," Leon whispered kissing her forehead. “Wanna go out for lunch tomorrow Scar?”

“Yes, I would love to,” Scarlett said while smiling faintly. “It’s a date then for us tomorrow,” Leon said smiling before the realization hit him that Scarlett was sleeping soundly.

“Goodnight Scar,” Leon said to her before falling asleep as well.

"I called you here to ask you about the dates of the Parker's home renovation?" Toji asked Jazmine.

“Perfect, I want you to call the Parkers immediately and let them know the dates,” Toji informed her.

“Will do sir,” Jazmine replied as she got up to leave.

As Jazmine walked away from the office, Toji looked up and saw her walking away with a little hip. Toji just stared at Jazmine as she walked down the long hallway.

Jazmine has been working at his company for a few months now and he has piqued some interest in her since she has been working here.

Toji can admit for himself that he made Jazmine his assistant simply because she works harder than anyone else at her job, and so he can see her more.

A few hours later…

1 hour later…

It was midnight and Jazmine was still stranded, she was sitting in her car waiting for her boss to give her a lift.

The silence crept through the air, but Jazmine broke the awkward silence.

“So how has life been for you,” Jazmine asked him while pouring another glass of wine.

Toji noticed how much she was pouring but he ignored it thinking that she probably needed it from the day she had.

“Life has been mutual you know,” Toji responded.

“Same here, but a lot is going on in my personal life,” Jazmine revealed.

“Might I ask how?” Toji asked her.

Silence filled the room again Toji regretted even asking her about it.

“You’re the first person to know this, I didn’t even tell my best friend Maeve, but my Mother died recently,” Jazmine informed him.

“I’m sorry for your loss,” Toji gave his condolences.

“Thank you,” Jazmine thanked him.

“You know that I like you right?” Toji asked her.

Jazmine instantly almost choked on the wine that was in her mouth. “What?” Jazmine glared at him.

“I like you in a more than friend way,” Toji stated.

“Give me the wine!” Jazmine yelled.

Jazmine took the wine and started pouring another glass of wine, but Toji decided to stop her from pouring another glass of wine.

“I think that’s enough for now Jazmine, come on, let’s get you to bed,” Toji informed her.

She followed him upstairs to the guest bedroom. When they made it to the room, he showed her around the room.

They sat down on the bed to relax for a few minutes and started to graze Toji’s arm.

Realizing what she was trying to do, Toji moved away from her not wanting anything to happen between the two but she pushed him onto the bed with her on top of him.

“Thank you,” Jazmine thanked him.

“You’re welcome love,” Toji smiled.

The two ate dinner together and decided to watch movies after with popcorn, and then they headed back to the guest bedroom. Toji gave her some pajamas to wear to sleep.

He covered her up with his blanket crawling underneath as well.

It was quiet for about 20 minutes before Toji broke the silence.

“Are you sleep?” Toji asked her rubbing her upper back.

“No,” Jazmine said back

“We have work in the morning,” Toji told her teasingly while laughing.

Jazmine blushed slightly before she laughed quietly. She would never admit it to anyone but she liked hearing him laugh, it only happened on rare occasions.

A silence that they were familiar with crept in again. “Toji, did you mean it when you said that you like me,” Jazmine asked him.

“Yes, I meant every word, I like you, no, I love you,” Toji reassured her.

Jazmine smiled at the fact that he felt that way about her.

“So what does make us now?” Jazmine asked

“Whatever you want us to be love,” Toji told her

Jazmine thought about it and smiled.

“Mines,” Jazmine said before falling into a deep sleep.

A few more minutes passed by before Lia's and Matt's food was ready, and then they headed to where the movie was being played. They sat in the middle row of the theater.

Matt hugged her back. Lia and Matt just smiled at each other before they turned their heads in unison towards the screen since the movie was starting.

“Shh, the movie is starting,” Lia shushed Matt. He just laughed at her silliness.

About one hour later, the movie was finally over, and Lia and Matt exited the movie theater.

“That Five Nights at Freddy’s movie was so good!” Lia blurted causing people to look at her.

“I’m glad you enjoyed it, love,” Matt smiled.

“I assume we’re headed home now,” Lia teased.

“Wow, 3 surprises in one day, I’m impressed,” Lia grinned.

“I want you to close your eyes till we arrive at our destination and don’t open them until I tell you,” Matt said.

“Okey dokey,” Lia laughed.

20 minutes later.

"You can open your eyes now," Matt told Lia.

Lia opened her eyes to a candlelit picnic with all her favorite food lying on the blanket. "Matt...You did all this for me," Lia looked at him shocked.

"Yes, I know it's not a lot but I hope you like it," Matt shyly said.

Lia took a few steps toward Matt and kissed him deep and passionately, He kissed her back with his hand around her waist.

They both pulled back from the kiss and just stared into each other's eyes.

"I love you," Lia smiled as she kissed him passionately.

"I love you more," Matt said before he kissed back.

"By the way, Matt, who made the picnic while we were at the movie theater?" Lia asked.

"Nick and Chris made it for us since I wouldn't be able to do it," Matt answered her question.

"Well, tell them both I said thanks for doing this," Lia said.

"I will now let's sit," Matt said grabbing Lia's hand to help her down.

"Matt, thank you for taking me out today, I enjoyed myself with you," Lia reassured him.

"I can't wait till the next time we can hang out like this again," Matt said.

"I can't wait either," Lia said back as she laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes.
