Some PineStar's Choice rewrite stuff now featuring Shanty who has a good role in the story now. She's apart of the defense group against the clan cat's raids

(Also, PinePaw wasn't actually the cause of Shanty losing her eye, she's just fucking with him)

Thought about that bit of dialogue between Jake and PineStar in PineStar's Choice and I just. Decided to draw that between Henry and PineHeart (with just a little bit of editing to it)

With the way I want to rewrite PineStar's Choice, I want people to understand why PineStar has such a difficult time making a choice in the first place. Chelford is so kind to him, they're so sweet and patient and defensive of any cat, but, he grew up in the clans, it was hammered into his head that he was nothing without his clan. They were his family, and to the clans, your family defined you, your family is you.

He can't "just leave" because to him, in his mind, that was something that was absolutely unforgivable, he would be dead to his clan-his family- if he did that. The environment that he finds himself in is hostile, abusive, manipulative, exhausting, but it's the only life he knew, the only life he was taught to cherish and defend with his own body and blood. But it isn't his fault, it was never his fault. He's scared to leave.

Dropping random bullshit from a rough draft of PineStar's Choice rewrite

Couple of notes for Shanty in the PineStar's Choice rewrite:

Apart of the defense group against the Clan cat's raids on Chelford

She joined their ranks when she was attacked by a Clan cat

She was left out to die by the cat

Though she eventually pulled through and finally made the trek back to Chelford

The entire fight resulted in her losing her eye

This event caused her to develop an obsession with hunting down the Clan cat that took her eye

^ This is actually her biggest motive and driving force in the story

She's not the most selfless cat, her motives are on the more selfish side because of the anger and obsession that takes over her mind

Shanty isn't entirely selfish, but she's more of a "I want my problem to be solved before yours" kind of cat (Obviously she doesn't discard anybody's problems, she's just super focused on her revenge)

Even then her motivations are understandable. Yeah if you knew you could find the person who took out your eye, you'd want to hunt them down and bring them to justice too

Shanty has a lot of mannerisms that freak PinePaw/Heart out

She doesn't take too kindly to the fact that PinePaw is from the Clans, but she doesn't despise him

She has a "Scary Cousin/Aunt who doesn't come around often because everybody thinks she isn't a good influence" sort of thing going on

I need to delve deeper into who takes Shanty's eye, because I want it to be a little side thing alongside the story. Not of major importance but just so that you can look back and think "Oh that makes sense"

PineStar except his Kittypet name is Hammer instead of Pine as a subtle nod to TigerClaw's original name, that being HammerClaw

Literally what the fuck was the point or reason for making leopardfoot and pinestar's relationship that fucking weird. They literally could have just done anything else besides have LeopardFoot be born when PineStar is already a full grown adult
