52. How long could you go without talking?

I was on a pretty good three-week streak with CC there where I pretended he didn’t exist, but actually not letting sound pass my lips any time or with anyone? I actually tested that once and lasted about half a day. It was a just-because experiment and I blew it when I went to class and habitually said “sorry” to someone when we were passing something between us and I missed. Everyone else knew what I was trying to do and the whole room blew up like it was a Maury taping.

53. What has been you worst haircut/style?

I got a perm when I was 11 or 12 and I also had longish hair so I looked like a stick of broccoli. I also had dreadlocks for a few months and I didn’t entirely hate them but besides the cultural appropriation fuck-up, I got them in Summer and insisted on wearing a bandanna while at work so no amount of rosemary shampoo and Knotty Boy cooling spray stopped me from furiously scratching at myself in public.

54. Have you ever baked your own cake?

I make an apple crumble cheesecake that would satisfy you gastronomically and sexually.

55. Can you do any accents other than your own?

A very dodgy British accent (which i’m told I also did as a kid when I was just talking normally and also don’t come from England at all so figure that one out)

56. What do you like on your toast?

Avocado and goats cheese, Mayvers super nut butter (except I find chia seeds hours later), or something like this morning where I put cream cheese and sliced banana on a bagel (don’t knock it), but i’m also rediscovering the simple comforts of plain buttered toast

57. What is the last thing you drew a picture of?

A smiley face. I lack even the basic skills for doodling.

58. What would be you dream car?

GIVE ME A DELOREAN OR GIVE ME DEATH

Any extra shower time is usually reserved for rehearsing arguments that haven’t happened yet.

7. Where did the title come from? the am song ‘suck it and see’ but i’ve explained the title at length here!!

8. Did any real people or events inspire any part of it? yes and yes but i’m not currently at liberty to disclose which specific parts of D&B are inspired by real people and true events (i will say it’s nothing major just little bits and pieces from here or there this story is very very fictional at heart)!! 

10. Why did you choose this pairing for this particular story? i’ve never had an interest in writing a non-harry fic, and he seems the best 1d guy to fit into the ‘indie’ stereotype anyway, and frances came to be because i needed a character who would be able to go head-to-head with this harry i had in mind. with some other qualities of hers and harry’s i did ask myself ‘what don’t i usually see in fic’ and then i went from there!!

🌿favorite comfort food: Lately, a big mountainous plate of roasted herbed veggies. Slightly crispy, soft in the middle, all the carbs with enough from the cabbage family to colour the plate and put some farts in the bank

🌷favorite relaxing activity: Riding my bike, yoga, walking with my iPod on, staying up watching YouTube on my phone just before I go to sleep

🌼favorite alcohol (or hot drink): I’ve discovered infusion mixers for pina colada and bora bora paradise so that’s been my support system

🌻favorite calming scent: The perfume I put on at the start of the day and fresh bread - simple cues for familiar routines

5. I had a performance this weekend and basically my role was to stay in a creepy paper forest room for 3-4 hours each night and act a scene and sing to individuals who came through the room every 4 minutes and I keep hearing everyone really loved it and this guy who came through the show yesterday came up to me today and just said “Thank you” today and that’s probably the nicest thing that’s happened to me in a while because I feel like I finally truly gave something to the audience members as a performer instead of just presenting myself, and that was a major accomplishment for me and I guess pretty nice.
