This beautiful piece of medicine that I'm wearing around my neck is from no other Tashina Lee Emery. When I’m away from my elders in the southeastern woodlands (whether Chahta/Choctaw or not) this acrylic incased medicine reminds me of the ones like my grandfather, great-grandfather and cousin Sunny. @mxedgirlprobs It’s Native owned, Native made. Check our sister out : https://www.tashinaemery.com/

Minnesota’s SPNN Profiles TV 📺Personality: Sheila “Superwoman” St. James whom produces “Shape Up With Sheila”, an ‘award-winning’ 30-minute health and fitness program broadcast by SPNN. Click on the link and just press PLAY▶️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2qN0LOOvUo Sheila joined the SPNN organization to educate people about how to live well, an interest sculpted by her multi-ethnic heritage. (I’m a BLENDIAN: Indian, Hawaiian, Egyptian, and Hispanic). With such a diverse heritage-technically I should be obese, but I take really great care of myself. A native of New Orleans, St. James has been interested in physical activities from childhood. She has a Master’s Degree in Education, and began “Shape Up With Sheila” while living in Louisiana. Then Hurricane Katrina devastated the region. Life changed. “Me and my mom were the first rescued survivors from New Orleans to come to Minnesota,” said St. James. “Once I was rescued, I just didn’t know if I had the energy and strength to start all over again. Nobody knew me in the Twin Cities. I didn’t have any connections. So it goes to show you that if you really put your mind and your heart into what you believe your calling is, then people will come your direction. You’ll get stronger.” St. James remains active and travels throughout the country, hosting seminars and demonstrations about health and wellness. She applies these talents to her show by demonstrating quick, efficient exercises; using bright, dynamic sets; and developing witty scripts. St. James is a woman who thrives on urging people to attain their best levels of achievement. *What are your main involvements in life? 'I am an exercise physiologist, an aerobics instructor, and personal trainer. I perform biometric assessments at employment worksites. My goal is to educate and empower others about achieving optimal health and wellness.’ *What message do you want to share with people? 'You cannot exercise and then eat cakes, pies, and junk-all day long, all night long. On the other hand-You can’t eat right and then not exercise. You have to do all of it!’ *What’s your wellness philosophy? 'Health is your greatest wealth!’ Shape Up With Sheila💃🏽
