What did you think of that ending for Sonic 2?

Oh anon, it had more wholesome family energy than I predicted QwQ

I thought they would make things more subtle and implied BUT NOOOO THEY WERE STRAIGHT UP DIRECT WITH IT, IT WAS LIKE EATING GOLD ON A SILVER PLATTER

The way they interacted with each other, happy with each other and are IN COMFORT of each other ITS SO MMMM

the trio's interactions are already the best parts of the film BUT THE ENDING REALLY HIT ME HARD, I DIDNT THINK THEY WOULD GO THAT FAR BUT I AINT COMPLAINING

also another reason why Movie Knux is now my favorite Knux, they did him justice <33

there are now people that have had their first (possibly first of multiple perhaps?) watches with Sonic Movie 2 because of early screenings (I’ve been lurking on Twitter)

under “Read More” is a non-spoiler summary of the early reactions I have seen so far on the Twitter platform by those that watched via early screenings

As Sonic said, the fastest way to wreck a film is spoiling it for others! Note: there are people that may have done multiple Twitter posts, for this summary I separated it by post, not person. This summary has 12 separate Twitter posts.

Yes, I adore it. 

Yes, it has flaws, although I think they are going into the right direction since I see the 2nd movie as a drastic improvement over the 1st in multiple aspects.

Yes, it has charm and passion.

Yes, there are scenes that have the potential to pull heartstrings. 

Yes, you should watch through the credits.

“Sonic the Hedgehog 2″ Movie: Spoiler Season Has Begun!

Disclaimer for me and spoilers: I am not spoiler-sensitive and I genuinely thrive on spoilers! But I make sure not to spread around spoilers, most especially if it is during the theatrical run phase.

It is now mere hours away from April- the month wherein majority of the world gets exposed to “Sonic the Hedgehog 2″ via theaters.

HOWEVER. There are already spoilers and leaks (whether real or not) spreading around the internet. Note that there are some countries that already started watching it as early as March 30, and it does not include the early screenings that happened earlier than that.

Note for the movie after its theatrical run: It MIGHT be on streaming services (such as Netflix, Paramount Plus, etc.) after being on theaters, but I haven’t found any solid news to back that up. But if that ever happens shortly after the theatrical run, then spoiler season may pick up some heat and make spoilers harder to avoid.

If you are spoiler-sensitive and hope to watch the movie as blind as possible, here are my notes for advice:

Tumblr ---> tags you can use to block this on the Tumblr platform:          ---> #sonic movie 2 spoilers          ---> #Sonic movie spoilers          ---> #SonicMovie2Spoilers

Twitter ---> I heard that muting/blocking tags on Twitter is ineffective, so the best option is still avoiding it as a whole. ---> I heard that someone created an account to leak the post-credits scene. ---> The “#DontSpoilSonicMovie2″ tag is spread around to promote being aware and courteous to those that have not yet seen the movie.

YouTube ---> The thumbnails, titles, and descriptions themselves can be VERY spoiler-y, so simply being on YouTube can be enough to get spoiled. ---> Avoid recommendations, since it is harder to control what pops up in there. ---> Stick to your subscribed channels and watch later pages if you trust they do not post spoilers. ---> Avoid searching words/phrases related to spoilers/leaks/the movie in general, such as “sonic movie 2 post credit scene” ---> Terms used in titles may contain:            ---> “spoiler warning”, “post credit scene” and “sonic movie 2″, although it CAN be more varied. ---> There may also be videos wherein people want to talk about the movie after watching it WITHOUT actually showing any spoilers/leaks. Click off immediately! Hopefully, they are kind enough to warn before getting into the dangerous territory, but I still recommend you avoid it as a whole - they might immediately start getting into the spoiler talk. ---> I heard someone posted 30 minutes of the movie, but it was taken down by Paramount. My impression of it: ---> I like it alot myself! A chill, slow-paced song. I’m biased because it reminds me of “Dreams of an Absolution” and I LOVE that song, it made me a bit emotional. Also, watching Kid Cudi mess around in the Eggmobile was funny and wholesome to me, and I have never listened to Kid Cudi’s music before.

Music Video’s Contents: ---> Like I said, any new thing they have shown in the video does not come off as major to me (SHOUT OUT TO THE SA1 REFERENCE). ---> A few new clips here and there (the one that stood out to me the most is the alleged “dance-off” which seems to be confirmed because of clips of Sonic and what seems to be MULTIPLE Tails (most likely as a result of a device made by Tails) dancing in what I’m almost sure is a bar (the one I assume they tried “sneaking in” by wearing human winter clothing.) ---> Other than the new clips, the video mostly used clips we have already seen before in trailers and TV spots (although I made be wrong here, I watched the video exactly once before writing this post.)

“Sonic the Hedgehog 2″ Movie: Box Office Earnings Prediction

Alright, now with its theatrical release now ongoing while still being a mere hours away from April, how much do you think the movie is gonna earn in the box office?

First one earned roughly 300 million USD, but:

It was release around the time the pandemic started taking over the world.

It did not have a proper run in China.

But it DID still manage to become one of the highest grossing video game movies (at the time). And those numbers don’t include the viewership the movie has gained through streaming service.

But now that theatrical runs are going smoother now,  And the second movie having the most spectacular, immaculate, god-tier marketing (it was a blast <3) Oh, and not to mention a third movie and a series on the way, already confirmed, along with extra confirmation that the Sonic Cinematic Universe is a thing too (damn, thats a lot of wins)

I wonder how much money it will earn this time. Is 500 million USD now on table? Maybe even higher than that?

I’m willing to bet more people are willing to watch it considering the Sonic Cinematic Universe’s history and the hype that came with marketing.

My bet’s gonna be around 800 million USD, tops.  THATS RIGHT, IM CONFIDENT AND COCKY RIGHT NOW 0m0 IF IT GETS HIGHER THAN THAT, THEN DANG. I WONT COMPLAIN. AHHAHAA
