its’a STARTER ( harleen edition ) for @blcndevixen !

it  was  always  a  welcome  relief  to  see  new  faces  in  the  cafe  from  the  usual  VILE  regulars  (  well  new  in  the  sense  that  she  herself  had  only  just  started  working  there.  )  a  warm  smile  was  given  to  the  guy,  notepad  held  steady;  after  introducing  herself  she  was  informing  him  of  what  they  had  to  offer  besides  coffee.      ‘  well…  we  don’t  got  much  here,  just  cake;  strawberry  cake.  can’t  guarantee  there’s  actual  strawberries  in  it  though.  ’       a  light  shrug  was  given,  harleen  had  NEVER  once  been  tempted  to  try  the  food  served  at  the  cafe.

     A SMUG smirk of appreciation was made slowly, well gradually, because he was AMUSED (honestly) to see her COLLECTION of nail polishes----- that ranged from BLACK to beyond expectations (even glitters). The boy HAD least idea why she carried so many with her (speaking of which how DOES all these fit in her TINY purse?).  

      “ -------------My mom had a ROOM filled with all these. I never CARED. ” He stated casually as if he was no ordinary, being one of the LIVING sons of a family of BANKERS.

@blcndevixenAfter a time, you stop listening to the people who won’t benefit you. This he learned when he was little more than seven years old and his attempts at friendship were nothing more than feeble attempts at connection. No one liked him, and every single person thought his choice of attire was odd. 

It was easy then, to distance himself. Easy enough to believe that he was superior in that way of thinking and suddenly, he was his own best friend. Lonely at times, yes, but that was nothing that his studies couldn’t fix, or spending time with his mother.

And now, as he settles himself back in his seat, he thinks that at some point, he’ll be open to the possibility of thinking about life in a different way.

For now though, there was the question…

“Yes,” he says, turning to face the speaker, and when he sees her, he’s both captured and repulsed by her beauty - captured, because she’s elegant and repulsed because, he knows that she may be the sort who is merely surface grace, the sort who will take one look at him and find him to be unsettling, ugly, and openly mock him. 

“Yes, I certainly hope so.”

1. what does your muse smell like? Anything sweet tbh, she loves candy flavoured perfumes. Plus her hair smells of coconut & vanilla shampoo and conditioner.

2. how often does your muse bath/shower? any habits? She has a small shower in her motel room, but makes good use out of it every day and night, she likes to feel clean when going to work; more so when coming back from the cafe. She’s not a fan of the smell of booze and cigarettes, which some of the regulars emit. Harls takes pride in her appearance and refuses for anyone to see her without eyeliner and lip gloss on. 

She often chews on her lower lip when she is nervous, she also likes to chew bubblegum if she is bored. Harls does a lot of head tilts and quirks with her hands if she is really emphasising something. She tries to cover up her Brooklyn accent, but it sometimes slips out if she is nervous or she has grown accustomed to the person she is talking to.

3. does your muse have any tattoos or piercing? She has both ears pierced; five holes on each though usually only makes use out of two ( mainly because of work and uni. )  The only tattoo she has is one she did herself when she was still living back at home with her father, hiding in the dark corner of her bedroom she used her nail file ( one that had been sharpened ) and carved a small broken heart upon her right hip, dying it with ink from a pen. It’s a mess though from doing it herself and the lines are quite shaky.

4. any body movement quirks ( ex.knee shakes )? Lip biting when nervous, if she is sat down for too long she normally moves her fingers upon the table listening to her nails tap against the surface.

5. what do they sleep in? She loves cute PJ’s with hello kitty or some other cute designs. Favouring short and vest top sets, but occasionally wearing a long, baggy t-shirt.

6. what’s their favourite piece of clothing? Definitely THIS outfit. It was her old dance recital outfit, a reminder of happier times; namely her mother. Sometimes she will wear it when practising her gymnastic moves.

7. what do they do when they wake up? Stretch, wash her face, have some breakfast before brushing her teeth and applying her makeup / doing her hair. She is a morning person and often likes to watch the sunrise if she is up early enough, it symbolises a new day to her. A fresh start, something she is avidly trying to have.

8. how do they sleep? position? She starts off with lying on her side, knees curled up, almost like she is lying in a ball. But throughout the night she tosses and turns, usually waking up with her face in her pillows. She is also known to punch and kick in her sleep, sometimes mumbling.

9. what do their hands feel like? Soft, since she showers daily. Harls always makes sure to use moisturiser / hand lotion especially if she has been doing gymnastics, since the bar and many handstands can take it’s toll on her hands, she feels she can appreciate someone’s skin if her hands are unblemished.. 

10. if you kissed them, what would they usually taste like? Strawberry bubblegum or candyfloss lipgloss.
