1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

hmmm... i'd say and still the fire burns (sorry i've been on a kick lately! cannot be helped!!) i think as it is my most recent so it obviously reflects my writing style best and is much more developed both character and plot-wise than my others. but cross my heart, cross the line (god i need to come up with shorter titles) also for a more light-hearted approach!

3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?

the idea and fear of growing up? lots of light motifs! lily being cooler than james by a mile?

9. How do you find new fic to read?

it's called the bookmark method where i go into my favorite authors' bookmarks to find a fic, then read that fic, then read that author's other fics, then go into their bookmarks to find a fic, then-

NEW YEAR’S POSITIVITY TAG

The gist of this tag game that I just made is to spread some positivity/love to fellow writeblrs! Whatever you have to say can be general or geared towards a specific writeblr(s) (I really wanted to say something specific for every writeblr tagged down below, but oh boy would that have taken a while). If you’re tagged, pay the positivity forward (no pressure if you don’t have the time or energy, though. This is all in good fun!)

It has been a very challenging week (and year), as I’m sure it has been for so many people, but I’ve been thinking long and hard about what it is I’d like to do for all my mutuals and I guess the writeblr community in general, and this is really the best I could come up with.

Yeah. I just wanted to say, whether you’ve been with me for five months or five days, I see you, and I appreciate you so so much. I’m not very good at explaining how it is I feel exactly as I feel it, but, like, every time I get a notification or I see you beautiful beanbags on my dash it’s just an instant mood booster. I may not always respond to tag games, or asks, or posts where you guys share your writing immediately but I see them and as I’m sure my tags hint at, I love them. I feel really honored to be a apart of a community so full of talented and creative people. You guys are seriously made my 2022 so much better. Cheers for a (hopefully) amazing 2023!

61 but i’ve hidden 2 because i’m very meh about them now. of the 59 still on ao3, 34 are multi chapter and 25 are one shots. (again, so embarrassing)

both of my halloween fics — a bummer too because i think they’re some of the best writing i’ve done. also the second chapter of my new girl au — it’s a whole chapter on fexi going to weddings/getting married and no one was into it 🙃

hear me screaming, heavy breathing — i didn��t think the world was ready for cassie/ash but you proved me wrong. and we can make it so divine — the fandom was kind of dying off when i posted this but the response was amazing.

What’s a fic that you feel still sticks with you long after you read it?

oh man imma give you five that i’ve read a stupid amount of times nonny. the fexi fandom is super talented and there’s so many authors/fics to pick from but these are some personal favorites that keep me up at night.

Someone To Watch Over Me by @muserepeats is one of my favorite fexi fics. it captures the emotions of how fez and lexi must both be feeling after rues night of chaos to perfection.

(desire is) two hands wrapped around a throat by @blackwidow2005. i don’t even have words to express my love of this fic. it’s so well written and i lost sleep reading it because I couldn’t put it down.

being good isn’t always easy by @tattoocowboi to be completely transparent i could swap that out with like any of mers fics but Church Sex is a tag on this one so i gotta recommend it.

And no drugs for Lexi Howard, bye. by @changeyourwholepitch was perfect when it was just from Lexi’s pov and then she had to come out here and give us a Fez pov and 🤯🤯🤯 I’m not gonna own up to how many times I’ve read it, but it’s a lot!

i’m a fool to do your dirty work by @myztify literally would read a phone book if she wrote it, but this one is a stand out to me. darker lexi? kitty being alive? fez gaining independence? sex buddies to actual lovers? sign me the fuck up.

I’ve been doing a lot of cultural worldbuilding for a couple of my wips, and something I’ve really come to appreciate are fictional wedding and funeral customs! So, what are, if any, some traditions and/or customs when it comes wedding and funerals in your world? Do the societies in your world look at death or marriage in a particularly unique way?

This is a little late arriving for Worldbuilding Wednesday, but it’s here nevertheless!
