20-year-old #AmaniKildea was found hanging in Morristown, New Jersey on June 28. Morris County Medical Examiner's ruled Kildea's death a suicide but some believe his involvement exposing child predators could have played a role in his death, according to local outlet #MorristownGreen. According to authorities, a visitor spotted Kildea’s body hanging from a tree in #MorrisCounty Park at around 2:47 p.m. on June 28, the Christian Post reported. Kildea is one of four #Blackmen from around the country to be found hanging in the last two months. Reports say Kildea was a gifted athlete who planned to attend James Madison University this fall. He "graduated in February from basic training as a military policeman in the Army Reserves". He dreamed of becoming an FBI or CIA agent, reports Morristown Green. Kildea was reportedly part of a social-media based group #PedoGotCaught who exposed the names of alleged pedophiles. The group would lure sexual predators in by posing as an underage child. They would then expose the child predators by recording the encounters. An activist in Morristown says Kildea’s role in the group could've been a factor in his death. “Amani’s work in the community to expose sexual predators was brave, but dangerous, leaving him vulnerable to retaliation from those criminals,” #BlackLivesMatterMorristown founder T’Anna Kimbrough told Morristown Green. "Despite Prosecutor Knapp’s assertion that there is ‘no cause to believe there is any criminality involved’ in his death by hanging, Amani’s work in the community sheds light on a possible motive to kill and silence him,” she said. More than more than 260,000 users signed a change.org petition demanding county leaders reopen the investigation.
