As I sit here, not being able to do anything, as my father complains as to why the cops haven’t shot everyone who’s protesting about the racism that exists today. He doesn’t believe that anyone other then whites deserve rights. And as he sits here and argues with my step-mother over the phone about why they should just shoot them, he’s making up things that never happened to help his case.

I’m tired of it all. Everybody deserves equality. It’s a basic human right. It doesn’t matter what you look like, your nationality, who you love, your sexual orientation. If you don’t believe this leave. I don’t want to be associated with someone who doesn’t believe in Human Rights. And as I sit and add hashtags to this it makes me sick to see (Blacklivesdontmatter)

the fact that there even is a #blacklivesdontmatter is REPALLING. absolutely disgusting, and at first i was surprised to see it, but once i thought about it, i wasn’t completely shocked—which is a problem.

THIS is why it is absolutely necessary to keep spreading awareness and advocating for black lives because as much as you may believe the statistics are irrelevant and racism is imagined, that is entirely not true. please please please use any platform you have to stand up for those who are attacked and killed for even just standing up. there is power in numbers. numbers are what got those cops arrested. utilize that potential and make a change in the world in a time in which change seems to be long awaited and overdue but impossible.
