Summary: Princess Kyomi is being forced to marry Warrior Prince Asael by her mother Queen Kylotta to bring both kingdoms together for the greater good. The only problem is neither of them are ready for marriage, one night Kyomi is staying overnight in the castle with Prince Asael, she finds Prince Asael with his mate and is shocked at what she sees the only thing is, she is not swayed by it but in fact intrigued and wanting.
Word count:1.9k
OMNISCIENT POV
Kyomi walked through the hallways of the Luxx castle feeling nothing but frustration that she was being forced by her mother; the vampire queen, to stay in the Capitol away from the only home she knew. She was being forced to marry the warrior prince Asael because in her mothers words it was what was best for the world if two of the major influential kingdoms were as one but, for her it was complete torture. She had met Asael yesterday during the family gathering where all of her siblings and his siblings introduced the idea of a marriage. Kyomi was upset that she was the only sibling not married. Her six other siblings all had wives and husbands along with kids.
She didn't want to stay somewhere she wasn't wanted and around a bunch of strangers she would rather be in her castle with people who adored her. Here in this castle she may have been royalty but she was still considered a nobody. Her mothers goal was for her to get to know her soon to be husband.
Her soon to be husband; Warrior Prince Asael Luxx, wanted nothing to do with her, he didn't want a wife nor did he want the crown. It was obvious he loved war, he loved fighting for his people. He wasn't ready to just give that up not for his family and not for a female he barely knew, she wasn't sure what his parents had said to him yesterday to make him agree with allowing her to stay but she knew it couldn't have been anything good. Kyomi walked further down the hallway unaware of where she was. She tried to use her nose to pick up a scent but nothing was working.. It was late at night and not even the servants were up. She only wanted to get a late night snack but couldn't remember the way to the kitchen. “Uhh hmm fuck” someone screamed from further down the hallway, Kyomi stopped in her tracks she wasnt sure what she was hearing but she was curious and wanted to know what was going on.
Slowing her steps she walked in the direction of the noise now only hearing muffled voices. She walked towards a door that was slightly open peeking her head into the little slit of light, she could hear the moaning more clearly and see what was happening fully. She gasped low seeing her soon to be husband with another person, from the side profile she could tell it was Asael the scars from being in the war were littered all over his body. “fuck you take me so good baby” he moaned stroking in and out of the hidden person below him. Kyomi could see Asael’s long thick dick sliding in and out of the person beneath him, she watched as Asael’s hand went around the person's waist and began to move back and forth. She bit her lip feeling her nipples hardened, she pinched her hardened nipples feeling needy. She knew she shouldn't keep watching but she couldn't help it because she was curious.
The person moaned beneath him “fuck me back Jonah” Asael groaned gripping Jonah hips plowing into him as if he had a point to prove. She pinched her legs together rubbing them back and forth trying to get some friction. “ fuck, yes, yes yes please dont stop im so close.” Jonah moaned under him rolling his hips as Asael continuously hit his prostate. Asael gripped Jonah’s hair lifting his head up he pulled him into a sloppy tongue kiss, sucking on Jonah’s tongue. They moaned into eachothers mouths as Jonah whimpered, feeling his nut approaching. Kyomi was rooted to her spot at the crack in the door she couldnt move she was shocked but to her now it all made sense, it made sense why Asael didn't want to marry her. He was gay. She wasnt his type, for some reason that made her feel better that it wasn't her that he was giving dirty looks to, it was the thought of being with a female.
Kyomi eyes widened as they connected with Asael, he smirked picking up his pace. “fuck you love this dick dont you” Asael groaned as Jonah threw his ass back moaning loud he came hard all over the pillows, but Asael didnt stop he kept going keeping eye contact with Kyomi.
Kyomi was leaking she regretted not wearing any panties under her nightgown, she boldly leaned against the door keeping eye contact with Asael as she slid her hand in between her own legs, she spread her legs to get better access to her clit, she rubbed it in circles slowly as she softly panted wishing she was jonah.
His mouth opened as he tilted Jonah's neck near his mating mark, shocking Kyomi she was unaware he already had a mate, it only confused her more as to why she was there. Asael sunk his teeth into Jonah's neck causing him to moan even louder making him cum again. Asael's eyes turned bright red as he sucked the blood out of Jonah's neck feeling nothing but warmth, feeling them connect more. Once Asael pulled away Kyomi turned on her heels and used her vamp speed and her sense of smell to find her room. The moment she got to her room she was pinned down to the bed by Asael as her nightgown flew up revealing her ass. “ahh” she screamed in shock. “you like watching huh, naughty one hmm?” he tsked in her ear. “I can smell you Princess Kyomi” he kissed the side of her neck where his mark would be. Even if he didn't want to marry her he couldn't let her tell his secrets to the entire kingdom plus he knew he didn't really have a choice his father said he could have Kyomi and his mate jonah and jonah understood completely. “Please” Kyomi pleaded as Asael pressed against her, letting her feel all of him. She gasped feeling his dick slid in between her ass cheeks.“ please what? I like begging, beg some more pretty” he smirked grinding into her, his senses were taking over by her mouth watering smell, he could smell how turned on she was the desire to to fuck her was growing stronger, he knew he couldnt because she was a virgin he didnt want to make her first time be like this. He moved her hair to the side, gliding his tongue up and down her neck before sucking on the skin behind her ear tasting chocolate and something else he couldn't pinpoint. A moan slipped out “Asael…” she trailed lost for words as he lifted off of her flipping her around so they were face to face. Kyomi searched his face for an answer. She was feeling a lot of things and Asael's body rubbing against hers the way it was, was no help either. As his right hand held both her wrist he used his left hand to lift her leg up pulling her into him. “Wait” she whimpered, feeling his dick press up against her pussy.
Kyomi wore a black bow front lace trim satin babydoll lingerie nightgown with a slit on the side. Asael can see how hard her nipples were through the lace he dipped his head pulling the right nipple into his mouth through the lace ignoring her words as she squirmed and whimpered itching to feel something, she could feel her own juices sliding slowly down her leg intensifying the lust she was feeling. Asael flicked his tongue around her nipple slightly biting the hard bud causing a gasp to leave her lips as she arched her back. Asael slid his hand slowly down in between Kyomi’s legs feeling how wet she was causing a groan to slip from his lips. “ fuck youre so wet, let me taste you Kyomi” Asael begged using his thumb to roll circles on to her clit sliding his finger in and out of her. “Ahh” Kyomi moaned, feeling her pleasure build. “We– we have to talk about– Ahh” she moaned again as he slipped another finger into her pussy, she immediately clenched around his fingers.
“you're so tight, we can talk later. There's no escaping it. Neither of us have a choice in this. By the end of the day tomorrow you'll be my wife.” Asael confirmed her fears, seeing how frightened Kyomi was he leaned down pulling her into a kiss, letting her know he had her, that even though he didn't want marriage he knew neither of them had a choice in this matter that both of their parents wanted them together and they would be together. Once they pulled away from the kiss Kyomi eyes rolled to the back of her head as Asael continued to finger her, picking up his pace hitting her G-spot. While applying just enough pressure to her clit to put her over the edge. “I know what you saw, I know it made you horny and I plan to do everything you desire of me as your husband” Kyomi moaned at Asael words knowing they were a promise. She didn't know how they ended up here but she didnt care she wanted this from the moment she saw him. “Okay” Kyomi responded breathlessly, feeling the knot form in her stomach as his pace quickened. Asael let her wrist go and extended his claws, tearing the fabric off of Kyomis body wanting to see all of her.
She was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid his eyes on, he was used to seeing skinny females but being in this beautiful curvy female presence he couldn't contain himself, he licked and sucked all over Kyomis body until he got to her pussy where he flicked his tongue back and forth on her cit removing his thumb and pinching her nipples with his other hand. “ahhh” Kyomi moaned louder as he settled between her legs hungry to taste her. Kyomi never cursed a day in her life it wasnt lady-like but she had nothing but curse words ready to fly out of her mouth from the way Asael was feasting on her. “Look at me” he demanded, coming back up, whimpering as she nodded, lifting her head to gaze into his hazel green eyes that held a tint of red around the rim. Just from his eyes alone she could tell he wasn't just a vampire that something else was inside of him. She didn't care though as he brought her to he peek, her body raised off the bed as she had her first earth shattering orgasm, she screamed as she finally let go of the knot, Asael licked her up as her body shook, her clit was sensitive but Asael didnt care he wanted every drop.
“I need to see that again” he grumbled diving back in between her legs making Kyomi cry out from pleasure.

Writer's Rant: A dilemma
Okay so, I'm writing my main character, and I'm the kind of person who imagines the entire plot of my book like it's a movie and then I start writing. But, my main character is what I see most people in book communities dislike: soft spoken, overly kind and weak-hearted, but she is also very headstrong, intelligent (she has her flaws too ofc) and after the events that happens she does a complete 360.
But, my dilemma is that I wanted to make a "strong" main character from start to finish, to please the audience I'm trying to reach and maybe in some ways in the beginning she is strong but idk.
I guess my main thing is that the FMC is a black woman, and often, black women are portrayed (especially by non-black authors) a certain way (because of stereotypes) and I wanted to make her soft to show something different regarding black characters.
I'm not sure, and I don't know if this is a stupid dilemma I have, but here's my rant for now :)
(also, i've been writing on google docs for years now, and I switched to Microsoft Word and I'm in love.)

Author's Note:
This story has been a labor of love, writing is a hobby and so is gaming. Combining the two has helped me in ways I cannot put into words. I am thankful to you for enjoying this hobby with me. Writing urban fiction using the sims, for me, will forever be inspired by mochasims, rest in paradise, dear friend. Mocha created a community for Black storytellers where one didn't exist anywhere in the Sims Community and paved the way for other Black writers to follow with her epic tale of Men and Stilettos and of course Kasim's adventures!
I will be forever grateful for the safe space she created to tell real, Black ass stories. Much love sis.

Fanart Friday! 🎨
This gorgeous WIP is by my dear BestNightmares on discord.
Tumblr media
It's such an amazing depiction of The Duke of Greed, Evaynaya Donahue-Selway. She's a secondary character in 🌐7 Circles🌐. This is a woman who controls the finances of the world and you can tell.
I haven't been as active lately, but I'm doing good satisfying work on both my story and myself 🪷 so I'm just posting on here when it feels good and I got the space for it.

1- FUCK ME AT FASHION WEEK
The sound of metal hangers scraping rapidly across dozens of clothing racks full of high-priced designer clothing filled up the large NYC penthouse.
The clothing was delivered a few hours prior and had yet to be stored inside Nicki's three-floor closet, so the racks sat in the center of her living room instead.
Nicki groaned annoyedly as she searched maniacally for the white ensemble and matching fur jacket that she requested for her new wardrobe assistant, Trina to pack into her wardrobe for New York City Fashion Week.
"I swear I can not believe this shit! I am scheduled to be at the Tom Ford show in less than a fucking hour and I'm still here struggling to put an outfit together because my assistant can't follow simple instructions and do her damn job!" She ranted, storming into her bedroom to put on her jewelry.
"You know you can just wear something else right? It is the girl's first week doing this job so I am sure that it was an honest rookie mistake, Cookie." Her friend Thembi defends the young assistant.
Nicki eyeballs her, watching her lay lazily across her California King Bed, fully dressed down for the gods in the latest couture while stuffing handfuls of Smart Popcorn into her mouth.
Thembi 👆🏾
Her new stylist, Maher Jridi handpicked the perfect designer outfits for her to slay fashion week, and she felt stressed that everything wasn't in order since she is a bit of a perfectionist.
"Why don't you help me put an outfit together since you know so fucking much!" Nicki rants, tossing her ankle-length weave to the side to clasp her diamond-encrusted necklace around her neck.
Thembi sits upright in Nicki's lavish bed, analyzing her best friend that she has known for years as she shuffled around the gigantic bedroom, complaining about everything under the sun.
Nicki stops near her light-up makeup vanity to spritz some sweet-smelling perfume onto her chest, wrists, and neck.
Staring down at the perfume bottle, she realized that she picked up his favorite perfume scent on her out of habit, it frustrated the hell out of her, causing her to suck her teeth and put the bottle down.
Nicki hated to admit it, but her subconscious mind was on him.
Nicki has been moody and bitchy since they touched down in New York a few days ago, Thembi and all of Nicki's entourage and beauty team couldn't help but notice the change in her.
"What about this red dress, Cookie?" Thembi climbs down from the bed and approaches the various racks of clothing, pulling the dress from a rack after eyeing it from across the room.
This is cute! Right, Cookie?" Thembi holds up a cute short studded dress to show Nicki. "Pair it with some sexy ass thigh highs and you're all set." She runs her hand over the fabric.
Nicki peeks her head out of the bathroom door and cringes at the sight of the dress.
"No! that's basic! Are you trying to turn me into one of these basic bitches?"
Nicki frowned her face in the mirror as she adjusted her glued mink lashes and primped.
"I have to look perfect and sexy, the paparazzi will be there and you know they live for dragging people for their attire. It's bad enough that my name is all up in the news for this Remy bullshit."
Her friend walks into the bathroom, standing beside Nicki as she brushes her long tresses, she stares into the mirrored reflection at her, watching closely with her tongue stuck inside of her cheek.
After a brief moment of thinking, she grins to herself when she comes to the revelation of what is going on with her temperamental friend.
"I just had an epiphany..." Thembi utters knowingly.
Nicki turns her head and looks at her. "I swear if you say I need to go to Tiffany's I'm straight backhanding you back to Queens!" She smiles adorably, lightening up a bit.
"No, crazy! I just figured out why you've been giving everybody a stink-ass attitude all week long and why you've been screening all of your cell calls, throwing tantrums, and spending just a little too much time in the shower with the removable shower head! You, my friend, need some dick!" Thembi exclaimed.
Nicki's neck quickly snapped in Thembi's direction and she gave her a hostile expression, side-eyeing her.
Nicki couldn't help but become a bit offended by her comments, she just threw major shade. Even though it was true tea, she didn't appreciate her friend being so blunt about it.
In reality, it had been a treacherous three weeks since Nicki got the release that she so desperately desired, she was on a sex strike after a heated argument with the guy that she regularly scheduled her freaky dick appointments with and she had way too much pride to crack first.
He and she had a hostile relationship, they argued and bickered whenever they were in the same room and vowed that they hated each other with a burning passion, but a year ago after a drunken night, one of their heated arguments led to them hate fucking on the private balcony of his hotel room and it's been a fuck fest ever since.
They still hate each other, but the sex between them is so fucking explosive and addicting that they can't control themselves.
So here they are, two enemies stuck between hating each other and fucking each other. The turmoil was real.
"Please, not everyone is overly dick obsessed like you ok? I am living my best life over here!" Nicki retorts, slamming her bedazzled brush down on the counter.
Thembi gives her a knowing look, twisting her lips to the side, putting her hand on her hip, and narrowing her eyes.
Nicki kisses her teeth and lets out a loud frustrated shriek, throwing her head backward in anguish and whining.
"Fine, bitch! Fine! Is it that obvious?! Fuck! I've been dickless for three whole weeks and I feel like ripping all of my hair out! You happy?" Nicki rants, throwing yet another tantrum.
Thembi just stares at her in amusement before they both burst into a fit of laughter.
"Bitch, I knew that something had to be up when you were aggressively humping that big unicorn floaty in Gucci's music video last weekend!" Thembi exclaims.
"You know I ain't got no man, sis! Stop playing these games!" Nicki whines.
"Well, what about this mystery guy that you've been fucking on the low and refuse to tell me or our other girls about?" Thembi questions.
"Nicki!" They suddenly hear, Maher calling from the front of the penthouse.
Nicki smiles cheekily in triumph since he just saved her from the awkward conversation.
"Hehe! Nice try, sis!" She says, and playfully sticks her tongue out at her friend before speed walking out of the bathroom.
Thankfully, Maher found an eye-catching last-minute outfit for her and quickly assisted her with putting it on.
It was already bedazzled so the added jewelry was no longer needed.
They all left the penthouse suite fifteen minutes later and arrived at the runway show fashionably late, just before the show began.
Nicki took her seat front row with her entourage of eight, crossing her legs and handing her Gucci purse off to her assistant.
The show began after a small speech from Tom Ford, she watched the slender male and female models as they strutted and sashayed up and down the catwalk in all of the latest designs while the cameras flashed.
Amid the chaos of the show, she felt eyes on her which caused her to scan around the crowded room.
When their eyes finally locked, her breathing became slightly uneven. The look that he gave her caused her legs to clench and her lips to tremble.
There he and his crew were, seated across from her on the other side of the stage.
Nicki wasn't expecting him to be in New York, let alone at fashion week since he wasn't listed as one of the show's performers and the fashion shows weren't usually his thing, he found them boring.
Damn it, he looked fucking edible, he was clean-cut and dressed down in a denim jean jacket and basic attire, but he still had a way of making the simplest of outfits look so sexy and his own.
Nicki could feel herself getting wet from the sight of him alone, the minute she saw the lecherous gleam in his eyes, her pussy started throbbing like rapid a heartbeat.
He blatantly disregarded the models on the runway and continued sensually glancing across the room at her, bluntly eyeing her entire body and biting his lip.
Thankfully, he had on dark designer sunglasses, so it wasn't noticeable to the random people surrounding them, but Nicki peeped it.
He ran his hand over his freshly groomed facial hair and subtly head-motioned for her to get up and meet him in the bathroom.
Nicki subtly shook her head no causing him to frown and glare at her. He never liked when she disobeyed him.
Nicki watched closely as his hand slid from his knee up to his thighs and he grabbed his bulge, letting her know exactly what would be waiting for her if she got up and went to the bathroom.
"Fuck, why the hell is he doing this right now. People could be watching him." She mumbles to herself and shifts in her seat uncomfortably, biting down on her lip.
Nicki decided to finally break the intense eye contact with him and focus on the show once again, she was only getting herself worked up by watching him and his teasing and she knew that eventually, someone in the crowd would catch on.
Every so often during the two-hour show, she would subtly glance over at him to see that his hungry eyes were still focused directly on her, it was very obvious that the outfit she had on was to blame for his sexual behavior.
When the fashion show finally ended, Nicki chatted with the designer and took photographs with celebs, models, and some of the people that she knew from the industry.
Her eyes scanned the entire room multiple times for Abel, but he seemed to have disappeared right after the end of the show. Nicki hoped he was headed for her penthouse.
In the meantime, Nicki decided to mingle with all of the other guests for a while to give him time to make it across town to her place and hopefully be laying in her bed hard and ready for her when she gets there.
It was hard to put on a fake smile and front when in reality she was anxious to get back to her place to get the life fucked out of her, but she did it.
"Nicki!" Tom called her from across the room before approaching her and taking both of her hands in his.
"Tommy! Thank you for inviting me tonight sweetie! I had such a wonderful time." She pecks both of his cheeks sweetly while giving him a big dimpled smile.
"Will you be coming to the after-party?" Tom asks as they begin to walk hand in hand towards the private exit of the venue.
"I don't think I'll be able to make it, I'm kind of tired and jet-lagged." She lies.
"Oh, nonsense! You simply must come, when you see the gift bags that I am giving away you'll be glad that you did. Come on! You can ride over in my limo with me!" Tom began to drag Nicki along by her arm, not taking no for an answer.
Nicki kept a very calm exterior, but on the inside, she was screaming and crying.
Tom didn't understand the urgency of this particular dick appointment, it was crucial!
The next hour was spent at the party, surrounded by boujee fucking partygoers and engaging in pointless conversation with people that she didn't give a damn about.
Nicki sipped slowly on her bubbling champagne as she maneuvered through the crowded party in search of someone in her entourage to drive her back home, she already knew that Abel would eventually become restless.
Nicki spent another twenty-five minutes searching around before she finally decided to call a car service to pick her up.
"Damn, no reception." She sets her glass down on a nearby table and wanders away to a secluded area of the party to get away from the loud, pulsing, blaring music.
Nicki stops near the entryway and she is so focused on her phone that she doesn't notice that the closet door behind her is opening.
A hand suddenly clasps over Nicki's mouth, muffling her scream, and she feels someone's arm grip her small waist, pulling her into the closet.
Nicki begins to shriek, tussle, and freak out until the dimly lit closet light flickers on and she comes face to face with Abel.
Her small balled-up fists began pounding against his chest in frustration and she screeched.
"What the fuck is wrong with you, you asshole?! You almost scared me half to death!" She places her hand against her rapidly heaving chest, attempting to calm down her racing heart.
Abel quickly cups his hand over her mouth, pressing her back against the door and reaching down to lock it.
"Would you shut up before we get caught together in here!" Abel gripes, staring down into her brown eyes.
"Well, you can't be popping out of fucking closets like a serial killer!" She retorts, slapping his hands away.
"Where the fuck have you been?" He whispers. "You have been ducking me for weeks. I have been calling and texting you like crazy!"
"I told your nappy-headed ass to leave me alone, you were on punishment and you still are." She rolls her neck and turns to leave the closet, but he pushes her back.
"Fuck out of here... You've kept that pussy away from me for weeks and I'm done with your bullshit aight? I'm not leaving New York without sliding deep inside of you so might as well dead all that fucking attitude and open your fucking legs." He whispers assertively into her ear.
Nicki opens her mouth slightly to speak, but he cuts her off by wrapping his hand around her fragile neck and giving it a slight squeeze; which caused the flood between her legs to worsen.
"Shut up and listen." He demands. "Do you have any idea how badly I have been craving your spoiled ass? You have me catching flights for some pussy like I'm one of these regular niggas out here!" He argues with her which was one of his favorite things to do since it always led to mind-blowing sex.
Nicki gave him an adorable dimpled grin, feeling his grip tighten around her neck, she felt accomplished and powerful knowing her pussy was so good that it had him hopping on private jets just to get a sample of it.
Nicki shrugs playfully. "Sounds personal, but it's not my problem. You could have found some pussy back in Toronto."
"Don't pull all that cute shit with me, Nicki. I already know that you missed this dick being inside of you. I can look into your eyes and see how badly you want me right now." He says cockily, causing Nicki to roll her eyes.
I bet that little pussy is dripping for me like a fucking faucet..." He whispers, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.
Nicki furrowed her eyebrows, she hated his cocky ass with a burning passion.
"Nigga-"
"Just shut the fuck up, we don't have much time." He whispers huskily, cutting her off.
He pulls her forward by her neck and crashes his lips against hers.
They begin to kiss fervidly, tongue-kissing each other roughly and fighting for dominance. Abel regains full control when he takes her tongue into his mouth and sucks it.
Nicki attempts to gain control by reaching up to grab his hair, but Abel grabs a firm hold of her wrists and forcibly pins them up above her head, causing her to whine out in frustration.
"You ain't running shit today, Peaches..." Abel grunts against her succulently soft lips, calling her the name that he gave because he said that her pussy juices are delicious and sweet and of course that peach-shaped ass of hers.
"We can't do it in here, someone will hear us." Nicki pants against his lips.
"Let me just taste it then.." He grunts back, biting her bottom lip, pulling it before trailing rough kisses down her neck to her chest.
Nicki shutters and bites her lip gently when she feels his hands running down her curves.
They slide over her hips and he grips her ass, his lips connect with her left breast and he swirls his tongue over it.
"This closet is too small for all of that..." she whines, feeling her skin heat up from his rough touching and kisses.
"I'll be fast, mama. I just really need to feel you right now." He whispers.
Abel's hands begin to fumble with Nicki's dress as he desperately tries to find a way to get it off of her.
The cage metal design of it makes it difficult, causing Abel to groan in frustration.
"Take this shit off now before I rip it off of you..." He grits.
Nicki snickers at his frustration before finding a way to slip the dress off.
It drapes to the floor, leaving her in a bedazzled bra and leather bottoms.
Abel eagerly begins to tear her shorts from her body, almost ripping them as his long tongue swirls circles around her exposed cleavage.
He roughly kisses and bites down her body until he reaches her belly button, he swirls his tongue around it before licking lower until he is staring at her pussy that is teasingly visible through her see-through pink thong.
Nicki looks down at him, breathing deeply and eager to feel his tongue. He just stares at it fixedly which is causing her to drip even more.
Nicki whimpers softly and slaps the side of his head to get his attention.
"Eat it, Nigga!" She demands, attempting to pull his face between her legs.
He instantly bites down on her inner thigh, making her squeak and hit him again.
"Keep playing and I'll walk out of here and leave you dripping..." He warns.
Before Nicki can come up with a clever comeback, he forces her thighs further apart, sliding his tongue up her slit.
"You petty ass motherfucker." She hisses, feeling her body tingling for more.
He snickers sinisterly and begins to suck on her clit through the thin fabric of her thong while staring up into her eyes.
"Your panties are already soaked, you were thinking about me huh, ma?" He whispers, moving them over to the side so he can taste more of her.
"Grind that pussy against my tongue, ma." He urges, firmly gripping her thighs while his tongue flips and slurps.
He tortures her clit and slips his fingers into her wet entrance which catches her off guard and causes her to scream out just a little too loudly. He punishes her by forcing his fingers deeper.
"Shut up and take this shit, you can take it can't you, baby?" He teases.
The sound of him sucking drives her insane, she was so fucking turned on that she slipped her breasts out of her bra and started kneading and licking her breasts which drove Abel crazy.
Nicki curses repeatedly under her breath and throws her head back in total ecstasy when he starts to suck harder just like she likes it, making her clit harden in his mouth, as his fingers relentlessly probed in and out of her.
Heat rushes throughout her body and in between her thighs.
Nicki's pussy was succulent, Abel could eat it all day if she'd allow it, his favorite place was in between her legs and he knew that his tongue game was the best that she'd ever had.
Her thighs tremble and her toes begin to curl inside of her boots when he begins to devour her as if she is the only form of nourishment that he would ever possess.
Nicki was a moaning mess, inching closer and closer to her release as her hips grind desperately and her breath hitched.
When Nicki is mere seconds away from exploding all over his face, Abel suddenly stops and stands with his face and beard coated in her wetness.
"What the fuck!" Nicki gripes, heaving slightly as her stomach twists in knots from her neared release that he ruined.
Nicki made an impassioned plea for him to continue pleasing her, but Abel had other plans, his desperate need for release made him uncaring. He had to fuck her.
Abel wasn't even trying to hear her whining, his only focus was filling her up with his cum.
He fumbled around with his belt until his erect dick was freed and pulsing hard in his hand.
Nicki was about to curse him out but he shut her up when he wordlessly pushed her back against the door, thrusting deep inside of her with one harsh movement.
All Nicki could do was gasp and hold onto him tight, closing her eyes and whimpering at the fullness that she felt with him inside of her.
"That shut you right the fuck up huh, baby girl?" He teases, proceeding to thrust his hips and give her the deep long strokes that she had been craving for three weeks.
He gripped her thigh, lifting one so that he could dig deeper while his other hand wrapped around her neck dominantly.
"Look at me, baby..." He demanded, leaning forward to kiss her lips deeply.
Her eyes slowly fluttered open and he made intense eye contact with her, watching her mouth gape when he slid balls deep and her eyes water when he hit the right spot.
He loved watching her unravel before him, watching her body submit every time he slides inside of her and pushed her past her limits.
Nicki didn't have to utter a word, her expression said it all. Her eyes squinted and her moans filled his ears as she thrusts against him and cursed under her breath.
Abel was over all the slow shit after a while, he and Nicki never had the time to fuck slow, their sex was always rough and fast.
He released his firm grip on her neck and lifted her other thigh up, taking full control of her body.
Fear took over Nick's expression, she knew what was coming from the look in his eye, she tried to keep a tough expression although she knew her pussy was about to be torn apart.
"You better not drop me down on this floor, nigga." She sassed, trying to mask her fear and excitement.
Abel's brow remained furrowed, he didn't give a fuck about her smart-ass comments because he knew she would soon be rendered speechless.
He began to pound into her core roughly, giving her short and fast strokes that caused her pussy to throb in pleasured pain.
"Oh fuck!" She screamed, no longer caring if anyone heard her.
He kissed the side of her face, lifting her and making her bounce on his dick. "Take this shit, take this dick baby." He grunted.
"Fuck, baby! That hurts so fucking good!" She moans and digs her nails into the back of his neck, gripping him tightly.
He became even more aggressive and began fucking her like he hated her, showing no mercy on her sore pussy.
Abel's pace increased and sweat beads formed on his forehead, he shut his eyes tightly and moaned when she began to tighten up on him. He made her bounce harder although he could feel her attempting to push him out.
"Fuck, wait, Abel..." she whimpers, trembling a bit in his arms.
"Nah, I'm not stopping until you cum on this dick so you better take this shit, ma." He grunts against her neck.
"I can't take it!" She whimpered. "Fuck, please slow down, Daddy!" Abel smiled and shook his head no.
"The next time that you decide to be petty and keep this pussy away from me for three weeks, I'm going to destroy your fucking walls... do you hear me?" He breathes.
Nicki started to cry softly against his shoulder, it felt so good that she couldn't hold back the tears and she knew he would never let her hear the end of it when it was said and done.
"Stop holding it, you are not about to make me cum first so just cum for me," Abel whispers into her ear which made her whine in frustration.
It was a competition between the two, they kept a record of who made who cum first and Nicki had yet to succeed in making Abel cum before her.
Not being able to take any more punishment, Nicki starts to release all over Abel's dick while screaming into the nape of his neck.
"Good girl." He praises her, slowing down his strokes to help her through her orgasm.
The slow strokes make her cum again which causes him to chuckle, she is so mad and embarrassed that all she can do is nuzzle against his shoulder like a big baby and moan.
Her body trembled once again when he finally filled her up with his warm cum, moaning and grunting in her ear as he releases.
They both remained there silent and panting for just a few minutes to gather themselves.
Nicki's pussy felt numb when he finally put her down on the floor and pulled out.
They wordlessly redressed and Nicki quickly exited out of the closet once the coast was clear.
Glancing over her shoulder, she notices Abel leaning against the wall, texting.
He glances up at her from under his lashes and just smirks.
"When I get to your crib tonight you better be naked and waiting for me, I'm not done with you." He says.
Nicki smiles slightly, displaying one of her dimples before rolling her eyes.
"I'll think about it." She yanks down her dress before walking away with a satisfied smile on her face.

❝𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐦𝐫. 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧.❞
❝𝐢 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞.❞
The energy tonight was potent, thick with the seductive, sensual energy that filled the club. Blue and silver confetti, and green dollar bills rained from the sky, covering the floor while lights flashed across the club, bathing everybody in hues of blue, while the crowd swayed unpredictably like a tsunami wave. It was fierce, tugging at you as you entered, beckoning to rope you into the cesspool of sexual tension and lust that was only fueled by constantly flowing drinks, given to patrons by scantily clad bottle girls who rushed from table to table with big bottles of various alcohols, while dancers dressed in next to nothing, and even nothing at all, spun about the poles on the main stage, luring men in just like a siren’s song.
This kind of activity wasn’t unusual for Club Crystal - but tonight was different. To those tucked away in the comfort of their homes, eyes shut peacefully away from Atlanta’s fast-paced nightlife, it was any regular Friday.  It was the end of a long work week, and the start of a shorter weekend filled with relaxing and running errands. But depending on who you asked, tonight as a special occasion, one for the history books, a complete blowout.
Tonight was 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥.
Not to be confused with any fairytale, it was the fifth anniversary of the day Club Crystal officially opened its doors to the public. The Crystal Ball wasn’t just any regular Atlanta event - each year, it got bigger and better, and each year, the theatrics doubled, tripled in size. Beyond the double doors of Atlanta’s newest strip club, right on the old soil where Follies once stood, cars were doing burnouts in the parking lot, and if you paid a pretty penny, you could get what they called “A Crystal Flush” - where you and your car could come out squeaky clean - if you held onto your morals and dignity once you made it out on the other side. If you made it out on the other side.
And in the middle of it all, surrounded by the smoke, reverberated, bass boosted music and buzzing, energizing sensation that seemed to drip and ooze from the four walls of the club was 𝐓𝐲𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧.
And the friends that had dragged him along tonight.
“Ooh, I love this shit!”
Sipping - or in his brother’s words - babysitting the Don Julio reposado that filled his glass, he slouched back against the couch, the black leather supporting his back, giving way for his shoulders to sink in. Terrell was like a kid in a candy store, flinging money over the balcony, the crisp, thin sheets of blue faced, hundred dollar bills slipping through his fingers, raining money down on the people below them. With the force and speed that he kept throwing, Tyree would’ve figured his arm would’ve popped out of socket by now.
Tyree sighed, checking his phone, looking for any signs of life from his fiancee. It was probably the tenth time he had checked his phone already, and he had nothing to show for the hour that had passed aside from the picture on his lock screen that stared back at him, and wasted time. His battery was dying - his phone and his social battery, but the party around him continued on, his friends blowing through stacks of money without a care in the world.
From where he was sitting, he could see the hosts for tonight’s event - Future and 21 Savage -  throwing racks of their own, surrounded by an entourage of security guards, who enclosed them like a human cage - dressed in all black and ready to go if something unsavory was to happen. Bottle girls dressed in black glitter leotards slid in between the security guards, bringing over bottle after bottle for Atlanta’s own royalty.
“Oh my god, nigga she’s not gonna text you back, she’s doing her own shit.”
RC plopped down next to him, tucking a stack of ones into the front pocket of his olive green Chrome Hearts hoodie. He peeked over Tyree’s shoulder, kissing his teeth at the blank lock screen that illuminated their faces. He attempted to pull the phone from Tyree’s hands, but Tyree tilted his wrist just out of reach from RC’s hands.
“I’m just checking on her.”
“You in a club full of bad bitches, sitting mere feet from Future, and you worried about Michelle? Damn, Terrell was right.”
“The fuck you mean Terrell was right, Julius?”
Tyre scrunched his face up, which only made RC grin, practically from ear to ear. RC leaned in close so Tyree could hear him, the sounds of Future’s Freak Hoe thumping from the speakers, making it hard to hear the person next to you - let alone hear yourself think.
“That you one pussy whipped motherfucker. You changed, nigga.”
“I’m not listening to a nigga who’s still out here chasing hoes.”
“At least I’m having fun. You over here checking your phone like you waiting for some STD results or some shit.”
“You the last nigga I’m finna let talk to me like that. Didn’t you have the clap? Twice?”
“It was once! And fuck you, I told you that shit because I trusted you, you Ronnie DeVoe looking bitch.”
RC’s not-so subtle British accent rolled off his tongue, his words like daggers, piercing the surface of Tyree’s emotions. Any other time, Tyree would’ve been able to ignore it. But this time was different. He felt different.
Tonight was supposed to be a night of celebrations, yet Tyree was stuck. Trapped. He was supposed to be happy, yet all he could think about was how time was ticking down for him. He was venturing into unknown territory - the hours counting down, leading up to the inevitable moment where he was no longer a boyfriend, a fiance. He was going to be someone’s husband. Tonight was supposed to be his last hurrah before he had to buckle down and get his mind on straight. Yet, his mind was completely elsewhere. And RC’s playful teasing wasn’t making it any better. RC didn’t know, or maybe he did, but all it did was make Tyree think about what he was walking into.
Like he wasn’t thinking about it enough, already.
The hours were counting down, leading up until the moment where he was going to be walking down the aisle, but the more he thought about it, the more the nagging voice in the back of his head picked at him. The more the nerves set in, the more his stomach twisted in knots, and the knot in his chest only grew larger. He didn’t know exactly why he felt like that - I mean it was natural to feel nervous right? To feel like you’d fall to pieces?
But for some reason, Tyree couldn’t shake that it was a symptom of something bigger. Way bigger than just nerves. Bigger than just “cold feet”. Shit, he was feeling frigid. Like a sheet of ice floating in the Antarctic Ocean. Ice fucking cold.
And he didn’t want to think about that.
“Nigga, you still got that damn glass in your hand?”
Leaving his spot at the balcony, Terrell sat down next to Tyree, the expensive, yet popular scent of Dior’s Sauvage cologne following behind him. Dressed to impress in a white and navy blue designer polo shirt, his brother’s heavily tattooed arms were exposed, his brother’s flashy style only amplified by the gigantic, diamond, two-tone cuban link chain around his neck, and the diamond Rolex watch that reflected the lights that flashed above them. From the moment they walked in, Terrell had all eyes on him, gathering attention from everybody they walked past, his personality and demeanor attracting them like moths to a flame. As bottled girls flooded their section with what seemed like endless rounds of drinks, they made sure to be extra nice to Terrell, his charismatic personality and the money he flashed making them swoon.
“No, this is my-”
“Oh cut the cap nigga, you been sitting there like one of them bronze ass statues for the past hour.”
Reaching for a drink glass of his own, Terrell poured himself a drink from the slender, tall bottle of 1942, clinking it against Tyree’s glass.
“For a nigga who’s getting married, you sure acting like you going to a funeral instead.”
“This just isn’t my kind of scene, and you know that.”
“So? Michelle ain’t here - the fuck is she finna do? Besides, this is your last blowout, man. You already know Michelle’s gonna keep you locked down once you tie the knot.”
Tyree watched as Terrell brought the glass to his lips, tossing back the liquid in the glass without even a second thought. He didn’t even wince as he placed the cup back down on the round, glass table, amongst all the other bottles of liquor and empty cups and glasses that took up space on the small surface, surrounding an ice bucket that sat in the middle of the table.
But even though Terrell was putting on a larger than life, excited persona for everybody else, Tyree could see straight through it. It was in the way he was looking at him - worried, confused. Apprehensive.
But that wasn’t new, especially from Terrell. He had been against Tyree marrying Michelle from the moment he saw the forty-thousand dollar engagement ring on her finger.
 “I can’t believe you’re getting fucking married.”
And in all honesty - Tyree couldn’t believe he was getting married, either. It wasn’t that he had anything against getting married, no, never. He wasn’t afraid of commitment, shit, he wanted to settle down. He already did all the late night hookups, spending thousands of dollars on women he knew it wouldn’t work out with. He had been the boyfriend, the ex boyfriend, the side nigga, friends with benefits - and he was tired of the drama and mess that had came with it. And in his line of work, you needed a partner to keep your secrets. Someone that you could trust.
But even with all of that, he never saw himself getting married so soon. It sounded good on paper. Perfect, actually. Something that would be the final puzzle pieces to his life.
But he was only getting older, and his hand was practically forced due to the revelation that Michelle thought she was pregnant. The two of them had been talking about having kids lately, but he didn’t think she was completely serious. And with the way things were going, a better time for things didn’t seem to be stretching over the horizon for him. This was as good as it was going to get.
But if you asked Terrell - it was a bunch of bullshit to him. He had always been critical of Michelle, even more so now that she was going to become part of the family. The two of them never really got along in the first place, so it wasn’t surprising to Tyree that Terrell was overly critical of their relationship. Michelle thought Terrell was an asshole, and she wasn’t afraid to tell him what she thought about him - which never failed to start all their arguments. And since Terrell wasn’t one to back down, he’d come in quick with telling her how she was a “stuck up, judgemental, spoon fed -” which by then Tyree would usually step in and break them up.
“Well believe it, cause it’s happening.”
Terrell rolled his eyes, nudging Tyree’s arm.
“Well if you’re gonna leave me by myself, the least you could do is drink. You know how expensive all this shit was?”
“Again, I ain’t ask you to do this.”
“Fuck you. It’s a celebration for you. The least your stone cold ass could do is try to enjoy yourself.”
“I’m sick and tired of hearing y’all niggas’ mouths. Fine, whatever.”
And with a little extra peer pressure from his brother, Tyree finished the drink in his glass, and gulped down the next shot Terrell had poured for him. He downed the next round of shots they all had prepared when Dominic rejoined the group, covered in glitter and lipgloss. And while Tyree decided against asking what mess he had gotten himself into, RC made a toast.
“To Tyree, that nigga is all grown up!”
And as the the dark liquor coursed through his veins, Tyree couldn’t help but find himself sucked into the enticing, sexual ambiance that radiated throughout the club, slowly tugging, perminating on his mental. His friends were right - this was his last night before he had to buckle down and fly straight. They were celebrating him, and who was he to refuse? His brother didn’t do all of this for it to go to waste, and it was all in the name of “celebration”.
That’s what he was supposed to be doing, right?
All of his worries and the barrage of thoughts about his upcoming wedding, and the pressure he was feeling seemed to fade away with a few drinks, beautiful bottle girls flooding their section with overpriced bottles of liquor, topped off with sparklers while strippers dressed in hues of pastel blues and white danced against them, money beginning to litter the floor beneath their feet. He could feel the booming, fast paced beats in his chest, the melodic tune of Lil Baby and Gunna’s Never Recover echoing throughout the club as the DJ and patrons below them recited the lyrics on time and without missing a beat.
“Throw that fucking money! We know y’all got it!”
Turning his attention from the conversation he was having with Dominic, the DJ’s loud voice in his ears announced the next set of dancers on the stage, only catching one of their names before the horns and explosion sounds gave way to the next song in the queue.
“Shit..these bitches ain’t no fucking joke!”
As Dominic threw fistfuls of money with no rhyme or reason, Tyree found his eyes glued to the girls that twirled around the pole, the duo dressed in matching, soft blue monokinis. The strappy, barely there outfits stretched over their curves, the rhinestones that adorned the straps twinkling as the light as they spun around, their bodies gliding around the pole. His eyes followed their movements, bouncing between the two of them as they put him in a trance. Mimi, a beautiful girl with long, blonde hair in layers that framed her face, garnered his attention initially, his eyes catching the vibrant colored floral tattoo on her thigh.
Money burned a hole in his pocket, the intensity of the flames only getting hotter as the other girl on stage caught his attention, his eyes and head following her movements as she climbed up the top of the pole.  The other girl, with caramel skin and curly, black hair that flowed over her shoulder ascended the pole with ease, the platforms of her heels flickering with white light as she contorted her body around the sleek, silver metal pole. Her hair slightly obstructed her face as she spun around upside down, approaching the bottom of the stage quickly, but stopping short before she hit the floor, dangling upside down. Her precise, but graceful movements were hypnotizing, complemented by the money flying in her direction, and hands reaching out from her from around the stage.
“Go on, throw it. You know you want to. I know you see something you like.”
Like a devil on his shoulder, Terrell egged him on, squeezing his shoulders as the two of them watched the mystery girl captivate her audience below. Terrell tossed his own stacks of money towards her, and soon Tyree followed suit, the bills slipping from his fingers, raining down on the people below. First went one thousand, then another, and another, free falling throughout the sky, the four men’s bankrolls blanketing the club like a flurry of rain. It just kept coming, and the more Tyree drank, the more money left his pocket - and he didn’t give a fuck where it was going.
As far as he was concerned, he had already spent a shitload of money on a wedding - funding six college tuitions wasn’t going to put a dent in his pocket.
“Aye, Tyree!”
Getting Tyree’s attention was Terrell and RC, who dropped a heavy hand on his shoulder. The two of them were well past drunk - well at least RC was anyway, who swayed from side to side like a pendulum, slurring his words. Julius stumbled over his feet as he walked past them, bumping into Tyree on his way to the couch, where he dove face first into the cushions. One of the dancers, who he recognized as Mimi, sat down next to him, propping his face into her lap as she handed him a cup of water.
“That nigga is done for.”
“You think? Anyways, I got someone I want you to meet.”
He watched as Terrell waved over a beautiful dark skin girl, dressed in a similar outfit to all the other dancers Tyree had seen running around tonight. Terrell wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and the woman introduced herself as Fancy, whose voice was smooth, and sultry, with a pretty smile to match. Her burgundy red hair complimented her skin tone, and she looked him up and down, her eyes lingering on the Audemars Piguet watch that adorned Tyree’s wrist. It was almost like she was analyzing him, and even though he stood taller than her, she kept consistent eye contact with him.
“You ready for your dance?”
“Uh, I didn’t order a dance.”
Tyree’s face twisted up in confusion, his eyebrows knitting together. Fancy kissed her teeth, rolling her eyes as she looked between the set of twins, raising an eyebrow.
“Yeah you did, remember?”
“I-”
“Well someone paid five stacks for a dance - either of yall finna let that go to waste?”
Tyree already knew that this was Terrell’s doing, judging by the stupid, slick grin across his face, and the laugh that came from him. It was just like Terrell to set him up like this - he was always getting the two of them in trouble, and this was just another one of the tricks Terrell kept up his sleeves at all times.
“Five?”
“Pocket change, really.”
Terrell shrugged, unbothered that he just spent someone’s down payment on a car in record breaking time.
Before Tyree had time to object, Terrell was already pushing in the direction of the stairs, Fancy grabbing the front of his white Heron Preston shirt, the fabric pinched between her well manicured index finger and thumb. With Terrell following behind them, Fancy grabbed his hand, leading them through the stuffed crowd of people, packed in together like sardines, nearly taking up all the space and breathing room available. Tyree couldn’t even run if he wanted to - there was nowhere for him to go, and with the firm grip Fancy had on his hand, she definitely wasn’t going to let him get away. Not a chance.
They finally came out on the other side of the crowd at the private rooms, which was a long hallway with a set of doors fixed into the walls on either side. An LED sign hung overhead, reading “The Jewelry Store”, in bright blue, cursive letters, and underneath stood two security guards that blocked the entrance. Dressed in all black, they both stood tall, with their chests puffed out, and stoic, frigid expressions across their faces as their eyes scanned everybody that walked past them.
One was dressed in a black shirt and vest, with a gun holstered to his hip, while the other had a well detailed scorpion tattooed on his neck, white light that briefly swept over their side of the club allowing Tyree to see the intricate shading and linework of the ink. They looked Tyree, Fancy, and Terrell up and down, giving their sole attention to Fancy who leaned up on her tip-toes to speak to them.
While they talked, Tyree looked around, feeling a wave of uneasiness wash over him. Sure, he had been in strip clubs before, dragged along because of Terrell, but never had he done anything like this. This spelled out trouble, big trouble, and he knew that if Michelle knew what he was doing, he'd never hear the end of it.
But deep down, way deep down inside, part of him was curious. Where this curiosity came from, he didn’t know, but it kept him from walking away, keeping his feet firmly planted in place.
With one last, analyzing, throughout stare before unhooking the gate, the guards gave their approval to the group, one of them joining the walk as Fancy led the way down the hallway, which seemed to stretch on forever to Tyree. The music was much quieter, and subdued in this part of the club, and Tyree could hear their footsteps as Fancy brought them to their destination, her heels clacking against the concrete floor, the shimmery silver tassels on her heels shaking back and forth as she walked.
“Here you go.”
“What?”
Pushing him towards the door, Tyree went bursting through the door, nearly sent flying into the room by Terrell.
“Have fun. She won’t tell if you don’t.”
“Terrell-”
Tyree could feel the wind from the door closing against his face as he stood there in complete confusion, reaching for the door before it swung back into the door frame, leaving him alone in the room - or so he thought.
“First time?”
Caught off guard from the sudden voice as he stepped further into the room, he spun around, his eyes settling on the large mirror that was fixed to the wall. Standing in front of the mirror was the mystery woman he recognized from the stage, who fluffed out her hair, making eye contact with his reflection in the mirror. She smiled softly at Tyree, unfazed by the baffled expression that had washed over his face, trying to process what had just happened.
“Yes? Wait - no, no!”
Tyree shook his head, tossing his hands in front of him, unsure of why he was reassuring her, and what he was even reassuring her of in the first place. A soft laugh came from the woman, who gestured for Tyree to take a seat on the couch. Not wanting to be rude, he obliged, slinking into the soft, fabric couch beneath him, watching her step up onto the small stage in front of him.
Michelle was going to absolutely kill him.
The thought of Michelle finding out was sobering. How would she find out? He didn’t know, but the mere thought of that kind of confrontation sent his mind reeling. He might be able to get away with going to a strip club - you know, stretch the truth a bit about what he did for his bachelor party when she asked - but there was no way he was going to be able to spin getting a lap dance. She was going to be able to smell the club on him, he just knew it. It was practically undeniable.
“What’s your name?”
Pulling him from his obsessive thoughts was the mystery woman, who stood leaning against the pole in front of him, her arm wrapped around the metal. He tried his hardest not to look at her, wanting to avoid the reality of his situation. He looked all over the room, grasping for anything, something but the woman standing in the middle of the room to grasp his attention. The plush, gray couch spread out across the wall, simple, black paint covering all four walls. The light above bathed the room in a soft shade of blue, while along the floor was lined with white light strips.
And no matter where he looked, he could see her out of the corner of his eye, slowly twirling around the pole, her attention locked on him.
“Tyree.”
Wiping his sweaty hands on the denim fabric of his khaki, Jacquemus jeans, he accepted his fate, looking at her. She smiled at him again, Tyree subconsciously taking note of her warm, inviting smile, and her sweet, calming voice.
He didn’t know why he gave her his name, but then again, he didn’t know why he was in this room. He didn’t know why he was here, period. As the alcohol began to catch up to him, his brain was practically screaming at him to get up, to leave, to be anywhere but here, that this situation screamed trouble - yet his feet stayed firmly planted.
He could feel his nerves peaking, rushing to the top as the room filled with an uncomfortable, awkward tension. The subtle scent of weed and perfume hung heavy in the air, while silence overtook them, neither one of them opting to say anything further. Or rather, Tyree didn’t say anything further.
Yet, the mystery girl didn’t seem to mind. In fact, she acted like the tension didn’t even exist.
“So Tyree, how old are you?”
Was this what all the dancers did? Ask for your personal information? What’s next, she would ask what for the last four of his social security number?
“Twenty-seven. You?”
Yet, he still surrendered an answer to her question - Tyree unable to not notice how pretty she was, or rather, a voice in the back of his head acknowledged her it. He tried to ignore the new series of thoughts springing to life in his brain, breaking eye contact with her to reel his focus back in.
“Twenty-four, but my birthday is in two weeks. I’m a Cancer. What about you?”
“You believe in that zodiac stuff?”
“Yeah. When’s your birthday?”
She waited patiently for his answer as she twirled about the pole, the flashing white lights in her shoes beckoning for his attention. Even with his back pressed firmly against the couch, he could see the details of her outfit as she moved, giving him a full 360 view of how her outfit clung to her curves, stretching out over his hips, the thong seemingly swallowed between her ass cheeks. He wasn’t supposed to be noticing these details, and he swallowed hard, feeling his throat go dry.
Just keep talking, Tyree. It’ll be over in no time.
“August twenty-second.”
As if they weren’t already close enough, stifled by the stuffy, thick, tensioned air between them, she stepped down from the stage, standing in front of him. His heart thumped with each movement she made, his pace quickening as she leaned over, placing his hands on his knees, bringing her face close to his. He felt the smallest of shocks by her unexpected movements, glancing down at her hands.
He didn’t know how, but her nails were the exact same shade of her outfit, adorned with gems and jewels, twinkling in the overhead light. Her long, manicured nails stretched over her fingers, gently grazing his knees.
“Of course you’re a Virgo. I bet you’re a real critical person, huh? Always think you know better than everybody else?”
She spoke softly, almost whispering, ending her sentence with the same, nerve inducing smile she kept giving him. He rolled his eyes, knowing that she was right - but he wasn’t going to give her the satisfaction of knowing that.
“But isn’t that everyone?”
“I don’t know, is it?”
The two of them fell silent, but the tension before them had seemed to disappear, melting away in the matter of a few questions. In their silence, Tyree was finally able to get a good look at her, his eyes dropping to her lips, which were covered in a pink, glittery shade of lipgloss that made her plump lips stand out. Body glitter decorated her exposed, honey colored skin, and he noticed the beauty mark on her shoulder. Thoughts about how soft she looked slowly took over his mind, his eyes wandering down to her cleavage, before he realized what he was doing.
A lurking, ruminating thought in the back of his head kept questioning if she was as soft as she looked, tempting, beckoning him to make the move. He couldn’t shake it loose, the thought holding on for dear life, taunting him as she invaded his personal space - not that he was complaining. That’s all he had to do, right? She wouldn’t mind, right? They were already this close -
But what about Michelle?
Michelle - his beautiful fiancee. The one he was about to get married to. The girl of his dreams. His best friend.
He kept trying to jog his memory of her - visualize her face in his head, yet that all became a distant memory as the woman before him climbed into his lap. His common sense begged him to get up and go - take him as far as his legs could take go, but yet again, his feet stayed firmly planted, another side of Tyree taking over, one that was fully falling into the trance that seemed to be taking hold of him.
Taking his larger hands in her delicate ones, she placed them on her waist, the voice in the back of his head finally getting its answer.
She was soft. Real soft.
And she smells good. Real good.
But pushing to the forefront of his mind was his fiance, Tyree unable to control the word salad that spilled out of his mouth.
“I’m getting married in two days.”
He licked his lips nervously, his eyes searching her face for a response. He was sure she had her fair share of men that came through that were in his position. “Celebrating” their marriages by spending their last few moments gawking over other women, as if a ring and some vows were supposed to prevent a wandering eye. Tyree couldn’t help but wonder if that made her think about him differently. He wasn’t sure why he was so concerned about her opinion in the first place, but maybe it wasn’t really about her opinion, as much as it was about his. He couldn’t shake the lingering, overwhelming feeling that he was a bad person. He knew that he didn’t belong here, that this wasn’t his scene, that situations like this only invited drama, like his relationship wasn’t already rocky enough.
His engagement ring catches his eye, the black, titanium band wrapped around his left ring finger, inset with matching black diamonds. It felt like only yesterday when Michelle and him were picking out rings, yet here he was, with his hand resting against a stranger’s asscheek. One that he only exchanged names with moments ago.
But if she did have any ill feelings to what Tyree had admitted, he couldn’t tell, judging by her blank, unbothered expression. He half expected her to scold him, to get up and tell him to get his ass out of here, to ask him what the hell he was doing here. But she did none of that.
She just..continued their conversation, not missing a beat, breezing past his announcement like he had just told her that the sky was blue.
“Marriage is a big commitment,”
She told him as she guided his hands along her body, the pads of his fingers sliding along the curve of her waist as she moved her body to the beat of the music. She maintained eye contact with him, Tyree opting to focus on her almond shaped, dark brown eyes, instead of how smooth her skin felt against his hands. Fuck.
“You ready for that?”
“I don’t know, it seems like the right thing to do.”
That was a loaded question - yet it wasn’t one that he hadn’t asked himself a thousand times before. In fact, it was all he thought about recently. In between planning an elaborate wedding, picking out cakes and decorations and finalizing guests lists, the deep seated feeling of reluctance continued to set in. He thought that by now he’d be over it, able to push past it. But as the hours ticked on - the worse he felt. He wasn’t able to shake it off.
“But is that what you wanna do?”
But that’s because the feeling wasn’t going anywhere. No matter how bad he wanted it to. No matter how many times he forced himself to smile through fittings for his tuxedo, or the countless times he had looked through venues and talked to planners, and put down all these deposits. The feeling in his chest only continued to grow, threatening to consume him if he didn’t do anything about it.
And her innocent, well meaning question only answered his worst fears. Planted the seeds of feelings he had buried deep down, had convinced himself that he didn’t mean it. That it was just a phase.
Dropping his hands to his sides, he sighed, leaning his head back against the couch. He couldn’t hide from the truth anymore, and the fact that he was in this situation confirmed everything. He was drunk, unhappy, and lonely, feeling more connected to the pretty girl sitting in his lap than the girl he had known since they were teenagers. And he was beating himself up for feeling that way.
Michelle and him were the perfect love story. They were supposed to work out. They were supposed to be together forever, and live happily ever after.
But he couldn’t fake it any more. Even though he really wanted to.
But he couldn’t break things off. Not now. It was too late. For fuck’s sake, they were about to get married in less than seventy-two hours! It wouldn’t be the right thing to do.
But what about how he felt?
That was something he hadn’t given much thought to until she had asked.
“You know, you’re the first guy I’ve seen who feels bad about it.”
He leaned his head back up, meeting the sad expression on her face.
“About what?”
His words slurred together, the syllables falling against each other due to the alcohol that washed over him, along with his feelings. It was like a wave crashing against the shore, the feelings he had pushed away, compartmentalized in the depths of his brain were rushing in with full force, ready to wipe out everything in its wake. It oozed out of him, out of his thoughts, dripping from his words.
“About not being in love with a girl who loves them. Most guys don’t care.”
“Or does that mean I’m an even worse piece of shit?”
He tilted his head back, feeling tears sting the back of his eyes. Tyree wasn’t one for crying, and he wasn’t about to cry now. Not here. Not now. And damn sure not in front of a stranger - regardless of how sweet she seemed to be. He wasn’t going to be one of those cliche niggas who poured their heart out to a stripper, when they really needed a therapist. Not that he needed a therapist, either.
He felt a gentle hand reach at his face, her fingers caressing the side of his face, gingerly tilting his head back down to make him look at her.
“You’re not a bad guy, but sometimes you gotta live for yourself. Not for what someone else wants you to do.”
She spoke as if she had been in a position like that before - but the pessimist in Tyree made him wonder if she was being genuine, telling him that her wisdom had only come from the amount of guys who had probably told her the same thing before. She had no real reason to be nice to him - aside for money, yet something was telling him that she meant that for real, and was only trying to empathize with him. But then again, she was getting paid five grand for this “dance”.
She was getting paid to be nice.
But he didn’t want to think about that. What was he thinking? He didn’t mean any of that. Of course he loved Michelle. He wouldn’t stick around if he didn’t. If the feelings between them weren’t genuine. If their relationship didn’t mean anything to him. Michelle was the only woman he felt close to, that he could trust with anything. It was just cold feet. Everybody felt that way before they got married, right?
And to avoid answering that, he did what he knew best.
Deflect.
“Why are you here? You don’t seem like the kind of girl who would be in a place with this.”
She grinned, like she knew he was only asking about her so that it would take the heat off of himself. She didn’t call him out on it, and he was grateful. He was desperate to talk about anything else.
“And what kind of girl do you think I am?”
He wasn’t expecting her to flip it back on him, though.
“I don’t know, I’m just talking-”
He stammed over her his words, falling flat on his attempt to get out the hot seat.
“I don’t know, you’re just being nicer than you have to be to me.”
“You must think I’m paying for school or something. That’s what all you guys think, right?”
Tyree shook his head, squirming underneath her, which clearly amused her. She took her teasing a step further, continuing to playfully pick at him.
“You got a fantasy about saving a girl from the club? That turns you on?”
“N-No, I was just-”
She burst into laughter, interrupting his messy explanation, tossing her head back. She swept her hair over her shoulder, almost doubling over with laughter, the sound of her laugh just barely echoing in the room. She was laughing so hard she almost fell out of his lap, Tyree’s hands instinctively pulling her against him before she fell to the floor. The quick motion caused her to grind against the seat of his pants, a jolt of electricity running from his fingertips throughout his body.
Her laughter stopped almost instantly, a heavy blanket of tension falling over the both of them. It lingered in the air, almost stifling the breaths Tyree took. Did she feel it too?
There was no denying it - he was definitely attracted to her.
If Tyree wasn’t already in the middle of it - he was definitely approaching the danger zone. And the alarm bells that were firing off in his head were telling him that. Unfortunately, the sound of them was only subdued by the alcohol in his system, the same alcohol that was filling his mind with inappropriate thoughts. Thoughts about the pretty girl in his lap, when he should’ve been thinking about his future wife.
But the thought of Michelle is so far away with this girl in his face.
“I’m just a regular stripper,”
She leaned in close, her breath tickling his neck. She spoke in a soft whisper, pressing her body against his, the scent of her vanilla and brown sugar perfume filling his nose, her hand caressing the back of his neck, her fingers dragging along the chain around his neck.
“But I do think you’re kinda cute.”
Her soft voice against his skin made him twitch in his pants, something deep, deep down within him stirring awake. She guided his hands over her hips and ass, his hands lingering in that position as she wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning in close to him.
The inappropriate thoughts only continued in his mind, this time stepping to the very front, ruminating over the endless possibilities that seemed to race through his mind. She smelled so good, and her skin felt so good, he couldn’t help but hopelessly wonder what if she felt even better. His mind poked and prodded him with suggestive thoughts, fantasies forming in the back of his mind - wondering what she looked like without the outfit. What she sounded like. Even better - what she sounded like saying his name.
It was just the two of them in this room - they could do anything. They had enough time to do whatever they wanted, and nobody would ever know. Not Terrell, not the security guard, and damn sure not Michelle. It could be their little secret. That wasn’t so bad, right?
Their faces inched closer to one another, Tyree’s breath catching in his chest, while the sexual tension between them bubbled over, approaching a crescendo. Could she feel it too? Or was he just crazy?
But he’d never get the answer to that question.
Loud, forceful knocking on the door cut straight through their moment, and she pulled away, Tyree exhaling sharply.
“Time’s up.”
Tyree felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders when she stood up. His breathing returned to normal, the pressure that was building in his chest seeming to disappear as he snapped out of her trance. When he stood up, he swayed slightly from side to side, trying to gain his bearings. The room was spinning, his head was spinning, and so was his stomach. Why’d he drink so much?
As if she noticed, she took his hand, guiding him out of the room and back down the lengthy hallway. With each wobbly, drunken step he took, he tried to match her decisive, smaller steps. The music was pounding, reverberating through his body, almost like a breath of fresh air from whatever situation he had gotten - or almost got himself into in that room.
He wandered over to the bar, not noticing that the mystery woman had left his side until his brother appeared in his face, sliding a cup of water in his direction.
Any other time he might’ve been relieved to see Terrell, but after the shit he pulled, he didn’t even want to look at him. It was like looking into a mirror - a mirror that reflected his fuck ups and bad decisions right back at him, and reflected his own stupidity. Fortunately, it wasn’t like Tyree could see his face clearly, anyways - his head was swirling. Swirling with alcohol induced confusion, beating him up about his even more confused perceptions about Michelle, and his attraction to a scantily clad stranger - who represented temptation thinly veiled behind invasive questions and well intentioned advice.
He couldn’t believe he actually considered cheating on Michelle. His future wife. The woman he had been with and pined over on and off since he was eighteen. His family. The future mother of his kids.
Even if it was just a kiss - how far could it have really gone? He wanted to lie to himself, tell himself that he was stronger than that, better than that. He wasn’t a cheater. He didn’t want to throw away his relationship for just a moment of weakness. A moment of pleasure. If he was so strong, why couldn’t he stop replaying that blimp in time? Why couldn’t he ignore that feeling of her breath on his neck, the way her fingers lightly danced across the back of his neck? The way her voice sounded like a melody in his ears?
What was he doing? What was wrong with him? He was going to marry Michelle and that was it. He was going to fix things. Fly straight and erase this night, and her, from his mind. He loved Michelle. He wanted to be with her - he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her - even though that seemed like a long, fucking time. Then what was the issue? Why was he so hung up on some girl he didn’t even know? He didn’t even know her name!
Because - he didn’t really want to get married.
Hell, he didn’t want to have kids now. Not where he was at in his life. Not with what he did with his life. He didn’t want to bring a child into this world with the dirt he did. It would be putting too much at risk.
More importantly, he wasn’t happy.
“You alright man?”
Terrell shook his shoulders, his face flushing with worry, while the array of lights overhead bathed his face in hues of blue and purple. Tyree weaseled out of his grasp, putting some distance between them, nodding his head.
“I’m good, I just need some fresh air.”
He doubted Terrell could hear him over the music, but he assumed Terrell got the hint when he didn’t follow him outside.
Greeting him as he pushed through the set of black, double doors at the entrance was the muggy, humid air of Atlanta’s nightlife. Planes flew overhead in the sky, the stars obstructed from the bright, white and yellow toned lights that decorated nearly every building and street corner around the club. The line outside was still long - people still packing in, hoping to get a taste of the party inside, itching to cross the threshold into endless fantasy. The parking lot was full, folks posted up near their cars, some of them taking pictures while others played dice games or shared liquor from bottles they knew they couldn’t bring inside.
Overhead was the sign for Club Crystal, the striking bright blue sticking out like an eyesore among the other buildings surrounding them.
Tyree exhaled, leaning against the wall, pulling out his phone.
It was three fifteen exactly, and the club was scheduled to close in about forty minutes. He was surprised his phone was even still on - the battery on five percent, hanging on by a thread, much like how he was feeling himself at this moment.
Even fresh air couldn’t shake the feeling Tyree harbored in his chest, his heart beating rhythmically to his breaths as he contemplated his next move.
There was only one move to do, honestly.
And he was dreading taking the first step.
In the back of his mind, way deep down - which was inching closer to the front little by little, taking giant leaps - he knew that the dancer was right. You can’t live your life for others. You can’t go along with someone else’s plans just because they love you. It would be selfish of him to continue a life with Michelle that he wasn’t happy with, just because it made her happy. Her happiness meant a lot to him, so why didn’t it make him happy?
But he didn’t want to hurt Michelle.
And even though she would hate him, he knew she’d hate him even more if he followed through and couldn’t keep up the facade. It would absolutely crush her, and the thought of having to “fake it to make it” was going to crush him too. It was too late to get his deposits back and refunds for everything he had paid for already, but he had the money to not have to worry about that. And even though he’d never get that back, it was never too late to get peace of mind for his decisions and needs.
Staring down at the text message thread between him and Michelle, his fingers hovered over the keyboard. The last time they had talked was hours ago, right before they went their separate ways for their parties. Cutesy, sugary-sweet exchanges of “I love yous” flooded in between their regular conversations, with Michelle’s last message telling him to have fun, but not too much fun.
Tyree wasn’t one to be dumbfounded, or just draw blank - but for the first time in a while, he didn’t know what to say. For once, the overworking, clanking and crashing together gears that symbolized his brain were paralyzed, like someone threw a wrench dead center in the middle of it all.
“You think that wing place will be open?”
“It’s Friday, it might be.”
“I’d rather have Waffle House - they got them big ass chicken wings at that spot! It be making me feel like I’m really eating an animal.”
“That’s cause it's..really a chicken, Mimi.”
“I know, but baby chicks are so cute..I feel so bad for eating their parents.”
Tyree looked up briefly from his phone as the three women exited through the doors next to him, engrossed in their conversation about what they were looking to eat. Dressed in sweatsuits and carrying stuffed, duffle bags on their shoulders, a security guard came out trailing behind them, escorting them through the parking lot. Tyree recognized two of them as Fancy and Mimi, watching them as the security guard pushed past drunk party-goers who stood outside, hoping to make a move on them, hollering a variety of obscenities.
Although their faces were relatively familiar, the third woman was who he recognized the most.
And here she was, approaching him from across the parking lot.
Separating from her group, she dragged her feet beneath her, adjusting the pink bag on her shoulder. She walked slowly, walking through the line of cars that were trying to get out of the parking lot, and he noticed she kept constantly looking back and forth with almost each step. Almost like she was looking for someone, something.
Tyree could feel his heart quicken in his chest, and by the time they were face to face, he felt like it was about to jump out of his chest and fall flat onto the ground between them. His hands were clammy, sweating, and he tightened his grip on his phone, finding himself anticipating her words, feeling himself slowly falling into that trance. The temptation.
“You okay?”
Was all she said, keeping the distance between the two of them. Her demeanor had shifted, and he noticed she looked withdrawn, shrunken into herself, completely different from the woman who seemed to be in control of the situation between them not too long ago. Dressed casually, the black, cropped tank top and brown flared sweatpants were a stark contrast from her previous outfit, having exchanged her tall, platform heels for plain, black Crocs. Her hair framed the soft, beautiful features of her face, her arms and chest sparkling with shimmery, body glitter.
“I don’t know,”
He sighed, trying to shake loose the knot forming in his chest.
He just had to take the first step.
Nothing major, right?
But the first step was always the hardest step.
“But shit, I will be.”
Sending off a quick message to Michelle, telling her that they needed to talk, he locked his phone and pushed it back into the front pocket of his jeans. He gave his full attention to the woman before him, who tilted his head at him, her eyes analyzing him, seeing the slightest hint of a pitying, sympathetic look tugging at her features. They were quiet, taking each other in, an uneasy, weighted tension inching in between their lack of conversation.
It was clear she didn’t know what to say, and neither did he, but it seemed like she understood what he meant without him having to explain it further.
She looked over her shoulder, at the black, Dodge Durango where her friends were waiting, hanging out of the window. They had been watching their exchange for the past few minutes, and the driver flashed their lights, signaling for her to hurry things up. She looked back at him, something lingering in her eyes, like she had something to say, but was unable to piece it together.
“I’ll be fine. Don’t worry about me.”
She sighed, adjusting the bag on her shoulder again, looking him over, like she was savoring the moment between them.
“Well good night, Tyree.”
“Yeah, good night-”
“Yaya.”
He nodded, finally able to put a face to the name. He didn’t know what he was expecting, but he didn’t expect it to be so simple. So easy, slipping from her lips smoothly. He found himself repeating it in his mind, bouncing back and forth between the two syllables like a metronome.
“Good night, Yaya.”
Smiling at him, she spun on her heel, and with a slight bounce in her step and a subtle switch of her hips, she headed back to her friends.
But something in Tyree wasn’t just going to let her walk away so easily.
And Yaya only made it halfway across the parking lot before Tyree’s own footsteps trailed behind her, the last bit of liquid courage flushing through his bloodstream.
“Yaya!”
“Hm?”
She stopped in place, watching as he closed the distance between them. He towered over her smaller frame, and she looked up at him, a ready listener for whatever he decided to say next.
“Can I get your number?”
“Ain’t you finna get married?”
Yaya knitted her eyebrows together, her face scrunching up in disbelief. She crossed her arms over her chest, cocking her head sideways, the stern, stiff look she gave Tyree leaving him to pick up the pieces of the waning courage he once had. He could feel himself sobering up by the second - kicking himself for his forwardness.
“I uh..”
Rolling her eyes at him, she turned back around, starting to walk away from him. Yet, Tyree followed, calling her name again.
“It’s Amaiyah.”
“Huh?”
She shook her head, her arms still crossed over her chest. They stood a few feet away from each other, and Tyree could see the security guard that stood at the hood of the car, eyeing him. It was the same security guard from earlier, with the scorpion tattoo. Time was ticking, and if Tyree was going to make a move, he needed to do so sooner rather than later. And judging from the expression written across her face, Tyree’s time was about to run out at any moment.
“My name. I’m not a stripper twenty-four seven. Call me Amaiyah.”
Uh-mai-yuh. His brain savored it, just like it did with her dancer name. Pretty name for a pretty girl. It suited her.
“It suits you.”
Come on, Tyree. You got to have something way better than that.
“Why should I give you my number?”
Amaiyah stepped towards him, Tyree trying to figure out what to say before he was staring down at her face again.
And he couldn’t come up with shit.
She snickered, knowing she had caught him off guard, staring up into his eyes again. She stared long and hard too, like she was trying to get a clear read on him, debating if he was well worth the risk. And for the first time in a long time, Tyree felt like a high schooler, the look in her eyes reminding him of how a parent would over analyze someone coming over to take their daughter on a date.
But then her eyes softened, and a wave of relief flushed over him. He passed her checklist. Good.
She held her hand out, and he didn’t hesitate to slip his unlocked phone into her hand. He watched patiently as typed her number in, adding herself to his short list of contacts. The bright light from his phone reflected in her face, and she locked it back before she handed it to him, pushing it into his hand.
“Figure your shit out and then come see me again.”
“How am I supposed to know the next time you work?”
The cynic in him told him that it was just a ploy to get him back in the club, back in that cesspool of sexual tension and lust, clouded with free flowing alcoholic drinks. She thought he was a sucker - that she’d get him to spend every last dollar he had on her-
“I work every Wednesday through Saturday,”
She broke his rapid train of thought, bursting the bubble of negative thoughts that tried to balloon up.
“Don’t text me if you change your mind. I’m not a homewrecker.”
He nodded, listening intently as her subtle accent popped at the end of her words. She sounded like she was from out of town, her accent covered by a thin blanket of that familiar, southern, Atlanta twang. Her face was serious, and her words told him she meant business.
And Tyree was all about his business.
With an unspoken understanding between them, and a feminine wave, she turned on her heel, heading back towards her ride. Fancy and Mimi eyed him as Amaiyah climbed into the SUV, and he could hear them teasing her, their voices being drowned out by the low rumble of the engine, the car’s headlights shining against his legs.
With her number in his phone, and a confident pep in his step, he headed back in the direction of the club. People spilled out from the doors as people filtered in, stumbling over their own feet as they walked. One woman nearly fell to her knees, but caught herself just as a fountain of throw up spilled out from her. Gross.
As people avoided the woman - who had to throw up again - Tyree scanned the crowd for his friends, meeting them halfway as he saw them split off from the people wandering out to their cars. Leading the group was Terrell, with RC and Dominic following close behind, Dominic practically being dragged out by RC, who was holding him up.
“I was wondering where you went.”
Terrell wrapped his arms around Tyree’s shoulders, the two of them watching RC struggle to help Dominic stand on his own two feet. RC had since sobered up - but Tyree could tell he was still pretty drunk, judging by the way he staggered back and forth. If a relatively strong gust of wind came through, Dominic would’ve ended up right on the ground.
It wasn’t a surprise to Tyree that Dominic was wasted - that was typically his thing whenever they all went out. Dominic was the only grown ass man he knew that would purposely go past his limit and end up blackout drunk. This was no exception, in fact, the fact that tonight was so special only gave Dominic even more of a reason to get that drunk.
“Who’s that?”
RC pointed past Tyree, which made Terrell turn his head to look behind his brother. He knew RC was referring to Amaiyah and her friends in the car behind them, and he could still hear the rumble of the car, and see the headlights that shined straight in their direction. Tyree shook his head, waving his question off, keeping the events of tonight close to his chest. It was already tossed in the metaphorical lockbox in his head, wiped clean from the rest of his brain. He played into the facade, however, glancing over his shoulder briefly.
“I don’t know. Nice car though.”
“Can we get food? I’m fucking starving.”
Domonic spoke through his slurred speech, the words coming out all at once, sounding like his mouth was filled with water. He groaned as RC shifted his weight, Julius rolling his eyes as he dragged Domonic in the direction of the car. They joined the crowd of people, walking to Terrell’s forest green Lamborghini Urus at the far end of the parking lot.
Behind them, the Durango eased around them, cutting into the flow of cars that were formed in a line to leave. It rolled to a stop in front of the twins, the Toyota and several other cars behind them beginning to honk as the line halted. Tyree and Terrell exchanged glances, the limousine style window tints reflecting their image right back at them. The driver side window rolled down slowly, revealing the driver to be a brown skin man with face tattoos, an ankh tattooed under his right eye. He looked them up and down before leaning back, Tyree realizing that Fancy was in the passenger seat. She leaned forward across her seat, her eyes locked on Terrell, a smirk stretched across her face.
“Bye Terrell.”
A goofy smile danced across Terrell’s face, a smile Tyree had seen one too many times. He didn’t even have to ask to understand the picture being painted in front of him, and he shook his head at his brother’s antics.
“Bye Fancy..”
With their goodbyes exchanged, the driver rolled the window back up, giving the two of them an acknowledging nod. He sped forward, disregarding the people honking behind him, swerving around a group of people walking across the parking lot. The Durango cut to the front of the line, Tyree watching as it pulled out onto the street, heading in the opposite direction of the club, the crackle of the car’s engine fading out into the distance.
“So,”
Terrell turned to him, a sly grin replacing the smile on his face. He could already tell what he was thinking, and Tyree refused to give into the excited, expectant look in his brother’s eyes. Tyree wasn’t saying a word. What happened tonight was between him, Amaiayah, and what happened in the private room inside Club Crystal. And that’s exactly how he wanted to keep it - private.
Too bad Terrell was already one step ahead of him.
“You get her number? Don’t lie to me, nigga.”
Tyree couldn’t fight the smile he had, and Terrell grinned, shaking him back and forth, laughing. And knowing he was caught, Tyree unlocked his phone to show him proof. The screen opened right back up to Amaiyah’s contact information, where she left her name with a pink heart next to it.
“Yeah, I did-”
With newfound confidence and all the cockiness in the world, he handed the phone to Terrell, only for his face to fall flat when Terrell burst out in laughter, practically doubling over onto the ground.
“What? The fuck are you-”
Snatching the phone back, Tyree looked over the screen, trying to figure out what was so damn funny all of a sudden. Terrell was still laughing, wrapping his arms around his stomach as deep laughs escaped from his chest, ones that left him gasping for air and unable to form a clear sentence.
Then he saw it - right there - staring back at him, were the nine digits of Amaiyah’s phone number. Not the normal, required ten.
“Looks like she got you-”
“You got makeup on your shirt.”
Stopping Terrell’s laughter in his tracks, Tyree pointed at the big makeup stain on the front of his shirt. Terrell’s face dropped, pulling at the hem of his shirt, getting a clear look at the well defined makeup stain. He kissed his teeth, sighing harshly, and threw his hands up into the air, Tyree half expecting him to start throwing a tantrum.
“Fuck, this shirt was Prada!”
“And now it’s nada.”
“Nigga, fuck you!”

Shanae was scrolling through her socials when the sound of the door being opened got her attention. She walked into the hall and peeked from the corner to see Omari, her brother Quentin's best friend.
Omari stood tall at 6 feet, had brown skin, and had waves that deeper than the ocean. He was a whole package and lately, Shanae has been wondering if he had an even bigger package downstairs.
She scolded herself for even having those thoughts but she couldn't help she was attracted to. Plus they were just thoughts. She knew she was fine as long as she didn't act on them and she wouldn't.
She knew Omari didn't see her that way so there would be no reason for her to act. At least that's what she thought.
“You can wait her for Quentin, Omari. We’re going out but if you need anything Shanae is in her room.” Shanae’s parents said before leaving.
“Why are you hiding?” Omari asked once the door was closed tight shut. Shanae came from behind the wall.
“I wasn't,” She said as she locked the door. She just needed something to distract her so she wouldn't have to look into Omari’s eyes.
Omari eyed her for a moment. Shanae shifted and leaned against the wall under his watchful gaze. She started to shrink under his gaze.
Omari studied her from her body language to the comfortable clothes she was wearing. Even in pajamas she was beautiful and he was in awe. Omari walked closer to where she was.
Shanae heart skipped a beat as she looked up at him. He was so close and he smelled so good. The way she was trying to keep eye contact with him, had him but for the past few months she already had him.
He knew it was wrong to want his best friends nineteen year old sister but he couldn't stop the feelings of attraction he had for Shanae. He loved how nervous he made her. It gave him relief that she might feel what he feels for her.
“Why are you so nervous?” He asked placing his hand around her wrist feeling her rapid pulse. Shanae looked down feeling overwhelmed.
Omari lifters her chin gently. Her lips part slightly and she blinked trying to register what was happening. Omari brushed his thumb against her bottom lip. Shanae’s heart melted at his touches and it made her want more.
The sound of the door being unlocked made them jump apart. Omari blinked thinking back on what just happened. He couldn't believe he almost crossed that line.
Shanae was breathing hard and didn't know how to slow down her heart. There was something between her and Omari and she was almost at the peak of it.
Tumblr media
Shanae looked out her window at the moon thinking about the events from earlier. It's been three hours and Omari stayed on her mind. The way he touched her felt so right even if it was wrong and she wanted more. She wanted him.
Her head turned hearing her door be opened. Came stumbling in was a drunk Omari. She smirked at how she practically spoke him up. Today must’ve been in her favor.
“My bad lil mama. Its too dark in your house and I thought this was the bathroom.” Omari explained.
He truly didn’t mean any harm and the bathroom was right next to Shanae’s room to where there was a door connected from her room to the bathroom.
“You go to the bathroom through there.” Shanae pointed at the door.
Omarion nodded and went into the bathroom. Shanae sat on her bed waiting for him. She was nervous for what was to come but she didn't want to miss her chance.
Omari walked out the bathroom to just see her sitting there. His right mind told him to walk out and carry on but he was drawn to her. He reached out for her wrist so he could feel her pulse. She was as nervous as she was before.
His hand traveled from her wrist, up her arm, to her neck. He moved slowly to feel her deeply. He needed to be in her skin. Goosebumps covered up Shanae’s arm. She shivered at the feel of his hand on her neck.
He gently squeezed making her gasp. He smirked at her reaction and leaned in. “Do you want this? Do you want me?” Omari asked. He wasn't going to go any further unless she said yes verbally.
Shanae nodded slowly. She more than wanted him. She needed to have him. She needed him to undo her and put her back together. She needed to feel every inch of him. She needed him to touch her.
“Speak up baby.” He instructed her.
“Yes, I want you.” she said softly looking him in the eyes.
That was all the confirmation he needed before he crashed his lips into hers. The kiss was eager and passionate. He took her lips in his and explored her mouth with his tongue.
Shanae moaned into the kiss. It was the most exhilarating thing she's ever felt before but it wasn't enough for her. She moved their bodies closer so she could brush her knee against his print.
Omari moaned at the friction taking her bottom lip and biting it lightly. Shanae saw the opportunity to take the lead and she was more than ready. She was about to reach out for him but he grabbed her wrist.
“Lets stop.” Omari forced the words out of his mouth. Stopping was the last thing he wanted to do.
“I want to take you on a date first.” he continued before Shanae could reply in protest. Her heart melted at how sweet he was being.
“Ok” she smiled. Omari tucked her into bed and placed one more kiss on her lips before leaving out quietly. He was gone for her before he could even start.

The sun sat perfectly on the horizon of the ocean, all the while everyone sat on the deck just enjoying the view. The light warm winds were perfect all day. Music played from the radio adding to the calming vibe. I got a tan, as so did Cari seeing her bikini line when she moved it a bit off her shoulder.
The turkey bacon sandwiches Cassie had made for lunch were the most delicious I had ever had. It mentally made me note on why Cari was such a good cook. She may not have always got along with her mother, but she picked up a good few traits.
Cooper and Cari played cards with Clay and it seemed every moment Calen got a chance, he eye raped me in only the cover up showing my bikini.
The funny thing is he did it so trained, like he's done it before. It had to be one of his secrets of using those seducing brown piercing eyes of his. My libido was on one hundred percent because of his lustful stares.
"So Dana, do you date like Cari here that I didn't even know had a boyfriend." Cassie spoke up making the comfortable vibe shift a bit.
"Um, yes I-"
"Calen, why can't you keep your big ass mouth shut?" Cari yelled over the wind that picked up a bit on the boat.
"Man, you the one acting like she wasn't going to find out anyways. Should of brought the nigga." Calen laughed making Cooper join in.
"Yo, stop talking about my nigga like that, he cool." Cooper tried defending Bryson. I just shook my head since I still hadn't been able to answer Cassie's question.
"Can y'all please stop saying that derogatory language please." Cassie asked looking over at Calen and Cooper. With with a smile she looked back my way waiting for her answer.
"To answer your question Cassie, yeah I do. Women." I answered honestly, feeling Calen's eyes grill me all humor gone.
"Oh alright, I don't discriminate with that. Just as long as you let me know you're trying to date my daughter or not." Cassie laughed.
"Oh no, Cari and I are like sisters." I smiled, even though I've thought about it in the past. That is until Calen Rodriguez sat next to me in a club one night.
"More like your son." Calen muttered making my heart drop. Cari snickered.
"What was that Calen?" Cassie asked from across the boat.
"Nothing, I'm just talking to myself." He blinked his squinty eyes at me, letting me know he was high and trying to be an ass.
"Well, we should be heading back before it gets too dark. I am wore out." Clay announced standing to his feet.
"Yeah, I'll go up with you babe." Cassie offered standing with him, they departed to the upper deck.
Cari and Cooper seized playing cards, while Calen took something white from behind his ear. Taking a little black lighter out of his shorts pocket, he lit the spliff taking a pull.
It never amazed me more with anyone else than it did when he smoked, he made it look so sexy. Catching me stare at him, he turned his head to the side winking at me.
Fighting the smile that wanted to come upon my lips I stood with Cari, needing to get as far from him as I could on this boat.
"Ready to change out of these bathing suits?" She asked while I nodded. We went down to the lower deck, I entered into the room where I had left my clothes earlier. Slowly I changed back into my white shirt and black shorts that stopped at the space of my upper thighs.
Pulling my hair into a messy bun, I couldn't wait to take a shower. Opening the door again, I was glad that Calen wasn't surprisingly standing outside the room waiting for me like earlier.
I could feel the boat starting to move again, letting me know we were going back to land. My first boat experience wasn't all that bad and I wouldn't mind doing it again. Mostly because I knew how to swim thanks to Calen now.
It infatuated me at how many firsts I had experienced with him that I never thought I would. Somewhere inside me, I knew there would be more. But before there would be, I needed to tell him and ask of my curiousness on what took place while we were apart.
It mattered to me, and if he was done with lying about something that should be small, he would have no problem with telling me. Thinking about him holding that gun still made me shiver.
Staying quiet would be done, as much as I wanted him. He still needed to know how much of a wreck he made me. I couldn't just forget the pain, it was still there.
Once docked everyone started taking things back to the house, I being last out the cabin behind Cari I grabbed my book bag. My arm was pulled instantly back into the cabin once everyone was off.
It was Calen.
"There's lights that lead to the guesthouse on the sand, come tonight."
"I don't know." I sighed looking up at him, he did a small conniving smile stretching his freckles a bit exiting out the boat.
"Why?" He asked with urgency slowing his feet a little to walk alongside me to the house.
"Because we have things to discuss." I told him, my eyes darted over to see his reaction. Remaining silent he had a confused look on his face.
"Like what?" He finally asked, "We already talked."
"Calen for one-"
"I'm done with you rejecting me, I'm not about to be so lenient this time." He growled clenching his jaw, still keeping his eyes towards the house.
"Calen-"
"No, why you denying us, tell me?" He cut me off again, I walked a little slower becoming aggravated with him. Like what happened to respecting my wishes?
Following behind him, he stopped blocking the way inside the back patio doors.
"Calen." I groaned, irritated by how he was acting. I really wanted to shower and get the saltwater off my body.
"What?" He asked clad in a thin white t shirt, his tattooed torso could be seen through it. Leaning against the door frame he acted like he was picking something off his arm.
"Move." I ordered wide eyed at him.
"Make me." He challenged, I smirked at him seeing Cassie standing behind him with a look of disapproval on her face.
"Calen Antoine-Ruiz Rodriguez, stop being rude and go get the rest of the stuff off the boat." She ordered as he just looked at me with an evil grin moving to go back to the boat. What the hell was up with him?
"I am so sorry, he has his moments where he's-"
"Bipolar, yeah I know he....I mean Cari told me." I blinked catching myself. Cassie smiled with a small nod. That was close.
"Yeah." She did a soft chuckle, not noticing I was screaming on the inside.
"I'm going to go hit the shower, thank you again for a beautiful day Ms. Rodriguez." I smiled at her beginning to move my feet, knowing I needed to get away before something I said messed up everything.
"Please call me Cassie, Dana. Plus it was a pleasure to go out on the water today it has been some time." She rubbed my arm beginning to walk in the kitchen. Probably to get dinner started I noticed Cassie liked to cook like all her children weren't grown.
Giving her one last nod I made my way to the stairs. Back to the guest room I finally was actually comfortable to sleep in. It made me see with Cassie just how much she missed everyone being all home together again.
I couldn't bring my drama here with me between Calen and I when she was just so happy. He was being weird anyways, I wish he would just chill out. It's like my bikini turned him into the cocky arrogant guy I first met months ago.
"Hey, I'll be in my room so just come over when you finish." Cari popped her head in my door that I hadn't locked.
"Okay, yeah." I nodded at her and she stared at me up and down.
"Did you take the pill?" She asked me.
"Yes, I took it." I sighed looking away from her searching with my eyes and hands for my pajamas. Didn't matter, Calen still wasn't getting none as long as I wasn't alone with him. I honestly didn't know what guards he would make come down without question if we were alone.
"Good, even though I would love to be an auntie." She laughed at me, I could feel myself blushing.
"Cari!" I yelled at her as she shut the door back. Having a kid with Calen, it never dawned upon me. But we had a lot to work on before we even get to the point of creating life.
After showering, I put on a black tshirt and some matching pajama shorts. My phone that Cari let me borrow until I got another vibrated on the bed while I brushed out my hair a bit. Picking it up, I saw it was a text. I didn't even give him this number, I don't know how he had it.
Calen: You still coming tonight????? (Sat, 8:31PM)
Putting my phone back down, I decided to ignore him. All he wanted was some ass and I wanted answers. Until he would give me what I wanted he wasn't getting shit from me, not this time.
Exiting out the guest room I smelled food in the hall, but decided not to go downstairs without Cari. My stomach roared from the smell and couldn't wait to go eat. Going to Cari's room, I opened the door to see her fully naked sitting on her bed having a video chat with Bryson.
"Oh my gosh!" I yelled closing the door back, they were so nasty. Standing in the hall with my back against the door, I could hear Cari laughing and I just shook my head.
"Are you done?" I asked after somewhat five minutes had went by.
"I am now." She answered like she was more relieved. Goodness my best friend was a freak with her boyfriend. Opening the door again, she had a sports bra on and boy shorts.
"Why didn't you have your door locked?" I asked closing it back once I stepped all the way in her room.
"Everyone usually knocks in this house." She told me going into her closet, her laptop on her bed was closed thankfully.
"Wow, my bad then." I spoke sarcastically sitting on her bed.
"So tell me what's up with you and Calen. Y'all beefing?" She asked coming back in her room with a shirt on, some shorts in her hand.
"He just for some reason thinks everything is suppose to go back to normal, after half explaining why he just left." I told her watching while she put one leg in after the other in her shorts.
"So he didn't he give you a full explanation, because Dana you were like a fucking ghost for the past three months." She told me, being the only real eye witness of the depression Calen put me through.
"Yep, didn't get the whole thing." I told her.
"Well why the fuck did he just up and leave?" She asked me in annoyance. To protect you, and the rest of your family from my crazy ass ex, or so he says.
"Shit that he had no control of, came into his life and he just had to leave." I spoke with half truths. Cari would probably just think I was lying if I told her the truth. It was just something that was incomprehensible unless you saw the truth.
I knew Calen didn't want his sister or any of his family to know the danger he felt he put them in, all over loving me. Shit I didn't even want them to know.
"That's what he won't tell you, what the shit was?" She asked sitting on the bed with me.
"Yeah, part of it." I did a half smile looking down at her bed.
"Well, he shouldn't get nothing until he tells you all. I know you already know what to do, so I won't say no more." She shrugged her shoulders, I did a quick nod with a shrug.
Cari was so understanding, and she already half knew how her brother was so she could understand what I was going through with him. His mysteriousness and charm.
"Only thing I will say, is I can tell he still is in love with you so be careful." She warned me, "I've never seen an in-love-Calen, and he has it bad for you Dana."
"Thanks Car." I smiled at her, made me wonder if her mother noticed too.
"Anytime." She smiled back, "Sorry about the video chat thing."
"Let's just go eat and not even talk about that please." I laughed standing up off her bed, she followed suit.
"Okay." She laughed turning the lights off in her room, and we headed downstairs to eat. I was certain after all the shit I've been through, I could take Calen. I hoped.

Calen
Leaning up against the railing of the patio outside, I pulled from my blunt wondering what the fuck was taking her so long to respond back to my text. Letting the purple kush leave my lungs, I closed my eyes feeling so wound up.
I needed her touch, the smell of her on me, I wanted it all. No matter what I've done since being here the itch just wouldn't go away. Didn't know how much longer I could hold out.
"Calen, what did you do?" My mothers voice came from behind. Fuck.
"What are you talking about ma?" I asked not looking back towards her.
"I talked to Zeus." She told me.
"That's nice, how's my uncle doing?" I asked nonchalantly. Old ass just couldn't keep his mouth closed about our business.
"Calen, tell me what the fuck happened that you needed weaponry from my brother." She seethed, making me glad I was somewhat past my usual high.
"A problem, that I took care of." I told her, turning towards her she gave me a cold hard stare of ice, "Nothing for you to worry about."
"Bullshit, tell me right now." She demanded, "Who helped you take care of this problem?"
"Mother, everything is alright." I tried persuading her.
"Ahora mismo!" She screeched at me.
"Family, in New York." I huffed putting out my blunt, I was hungry and done talking about this.
"The Latin Kings, you're back with them now aren't you?" She asked me, heart break in her eyes, "They are not your family."
"No ma." I groaned in irritation, "Come on I'm hungry can we go eat?"
"They always want a debt repaid for something, yes you are!" She yelled while I walked past her, she grabbed my arm stopping me.
"I don't want to lose you to that fuckin' gang Calen." She told me in anger.
"You're not." I told her, pulling her into a hug she held me tightly. Closing my eyes, I didn't think she would let our talk the other day go. But honestly I didn't care about none of that shit right now.
When I eventually got back to the states I would have to link back up with Lupe. But for now my only focus was Dana, and I needed her. I went into the dirty of my past life to have her here with me, and I'll be damned if I let her slip through my fingers again.
She was the only link that would keep me from sinking back into that life, and she needed to know that. I just needed the chance to get her alone.

Everyone sat around the table in the kitchen eating burgers and hot dogs along with barbecued chicken that Clay put on his grill for dinner. It was all delicious, including the salad that Cassie prepared. I was glad she didn't have to do as much cooking.
The table was cherry every now and then, but the only non cherry part was Calen's absence from the table. No one spoke on it and I felt somewhat responsible. After dinner, Clay and Cassie said their goodnights.
Cari and I headed back into her room just to chill and probably watch a movie or something. There was a knock at her door before Cooper popped his head inside.
"See, Cooper knocked." Cari laughed and I gave her the middle finger.
"Nope, I have a boyfriend for that," She smirked at my hand, "He's just so far away." Cari complained in a whine laying on her side.
"Ew, um, if ma and dad ask I went out okay?" He muttered, having both of us sit up from his words.
"Where you going?" Cari asked, exactly the question in my mind. This nigga was trying to sneak off to probably go see a female.
"To a party, if y'all must know, and no y'all can't come." He told us, Cari scoffed at him.
"Bullshit we going nigga, where the hell the party even at?" She asked.
"The Hernandez estate." He huffed shaking his head.
"Wait, the twins are having their summer party tonite?" Cari asked. Twins?
"Cari, come on I'm already late." Cooper complained watching her get out of bed skipping to her closet.
"Cooper it is only ten thirty, you aren't missing shit." She yelled walking back out of her closet with an outfit she looked down at me, "You in the mood for partying?"
"It's been a while since I've had a-"
"It's settled we going!" She shouted, "Cooper don't you try and leave either or ma and pa will know you took the boat."
"Fuck man, this is why I don't tell y'all shit." He grumbled at us, and we laughed at him as he shut the bedroom door back.
"Let's get ready shall we?" She smiled pulling me up from my seat on the bed.
When Cari was talking about the boat I thought she meant the yacht but I was wrong, there was another small boat that we took. In the night it went fast down the coast. I wondered why they didn't tell Calen anything but he probably didn't want to go.
Coming to a small dock, it was the back of a huge, and I mean huge estate. Bodies danced back and forth while music blasted from speakers on the pool deck.
Some girls only walked around in bikinis while others were fully dressed. I was glad I kept it simple with my outfit. Cari took my hand leading me with Cooper in front deeper towards the house.
"Who are all these people?" I shouted to Cari over the music.
"Only the rich kids of the island that are somebody's really." She told me, her smile was an elite one. It dawned on me that the Rodriguez family must had a high reputation if Cooper was invited here.
"What's up nigga!" Cooper yelled embracing some guy who had pretty light brown eyes.
"Coop! Was good and I see you brought Cari, it's always good to see you hun." The pretty browned eyed guy spoke, then his eyes shifted to me.
"Yeah, they caught me before I could sneak away." Cooper muttered to the guy.
"Hello Chance, good to see you again. This is just my friend Dana." Cari introduced me to the tall skinny guy that must have been the host of the huge party.
"Pleasures all mine. Caliente." He spoke taking my right hand he kissed the back of it with warm lips.
"Um, yeah nice to meet you." I spoke with a light chuckle at him, slipping my hand out his grip.
"Oh and from the U.K. Well, well, you have definitely out did yourself Coop." Chance smiled with pretty white teeth at me.
"Yeah, anyways where's the fuckin' drinks man?" Cooper asked.
"Yeah, follow me. You ladies want a drink?" Chance asked us and Cari nodded along with me in unison.
"Follow me." He nodded, walking through the crowds of bodies enjoying themselves.

Calen
Laying on my bed, I stared up at the ceiling wishing she would just answer her phone. Tapping my hand on my knee, I tried to just call Dana but her phone just kept ringing. She was seriously just ignoring my ass.
"Fuck." I groaned sitting up in my bed. I scanned through my endless thread of messages on my phone and saw one from Coop I must have ignored.
Coop: going to the Hernandez party, know you might not go with the funk yo ass been in. but it would mean a lot if your ass showed up. (Sat, 10:45PM)
That was thirty minutes ago, and I didn't really want to go. My ass wasn't in the mood for partying I wanted to be laid up with my girl.
Being desperate, I called Cari's phone just to see if Dana was just sleep or some shit. It rung like three times before her ass answered. Immediately I heard loud ass music in the background.
"Hello?" She answered sounding confused.
"Cari, where the hell you at?" I asked and she laughed in my ear. Some nerve she got.
"Calen you are not my dad, what the hell you want?" She asked me, and I was already getting annoyed with her.
"You at the Hernandez party?" I asked her hoping she was anywhere else.
"Yeah and I'm not alone." She spoke sing songy, "Need to get your shit together Calen."
Then she hung up, in my face.
Get my shit together huh?
Guess I'm going to a party.
~
Dana
I sat on a stool by the huge bar with Cari that looked like it belonged in a club. Wrapping my lips on a cup of sex on the beach, it made my front lobe fuzzy way too soon. It was my first cup and I probably had about three more sips in it.
"Want another babe?" Cari asked me and i cheesed nodding at her. She chuckled at my tipsy ass before turning towards the bar, telling the bad female that was making drinks for another order.
"This wasn't a bad idea, even though Cooper was against it." I mumbled in her ear since the music was more louder in the section of the estate we were in than outside.
"Nah, it wasn't. But anyways, Cooper was nothing compared to how Calen will react." She laughed making me confused.
"What you mean?" I asked her, how would Calen would know we were here.
"His party pooping ass called me like ten minutes ago, he's probably not going anywhere anyways." Cari shrugged sipping from a clear straw in her glass.
She was right, I wasn't going to let the fear of Calen coming trying to start some shit get to me. Just enjoy myself like how I should. I was on vacation dammit.
Some guy came out of nowhere drunk as hell obviously and walked right into me with his drink. It was like I didn't even have time to react.
"Shit!" I groaned standing up out the stool, what mad it worse was the twins; Chance and his brother Chris was standing by us talking to Cari and Cooper.
The coincidence that they had names starting with a C also was weird, but I paid it no mind.
"Oh, well damn ain't you wearing your drink." Some girl laughed, I felt so embarrassed.
"Where's the bathroom?!" I yelled, ignoring Cari trying to wipe me with napkins.
"Um, you can use the one upstairs, third door on the right." Chance told me with a smile like he was trying to stifle his laugh.
Everyone was on the liq, and probably wouldn't remember this but it didn't make me feel any less humiliated. Storming off I went upstairs and by the time I got up there, automatically forgot what door Chance told me.
"Fuck." I mumbled, leaning up against the wall in the barely lit hallway. My flip flops padded gently on the hardwood floors, and I tried the first door. But it was just a linen closet, with only sheets and blankets.
"Oh my gosh!" I groaned going to the next door and taken aback, no horrified, embarrassed more by what I saw.
In the lightly lit room, a very tall light brown skinned guy stood, getting head from two different females. My mouth formed a huge O in embarrassment, his low sleepy eyes made eye contact with mine, not one hint of shock on his face.
"I am so sorry." I yelled immediately closing the door back, leaning against it with my back. Calming my heart I leaned up off the door going to the next finding the bathroom finally.
Closing the door behind me, I got a towel sitting on the toilet. The one exclusive high society party of this island and I was soon to be the laughing stock of it. I dabbed the wet spot on my shirt a few more times, looking myself in the mirror.
"You're supposed to be having fun Dana." I breathed and looked over myself once more. Being satisfied with my shirt and whole look I decided to exit the bathroom.
Opening the door I was met with those sleepy eyes again on the tall guy, who I walked in on. Shit, he's going to banish me from the house.
"Um...." I didn't know what to say looking up at him, he blew smoke from his full lips just staring down at me a dark look in his eyes.
"Do you need to use the bathroom or something?" I asked him and he shook his head at me.
"No." He spoke, "Never seen you before around here."
"Oh, yeah I'm not from here." I nodded sounding like an idiot.
"That's obvious." He muttered taking a pull from his blunt, "Who you here with?"
"Um, Cooper and Cari." I told him, like he knew who that was. Probably didn't even live here. He analyzed me once in confusion.
"Rodriguez." I continued and then he did a slow nod.
"Oh...he's back then." The guy spoke confusing me.
"Whose back?" I asked him, he leaned back on the opposite wall from me. A door down the hall opened, and the two females that I walked in earlier with the guy went down the hall.
"I'm August." He spoke to me pulling my attention back on him, "Hernandez."
"Dana, Ross." I smiled and he cracked one too. It was beautiful, I forgot a moment that I was in an awkward moment with him a while ago.
"Nice to meet you Dana." He spoke taking another pull from his blunt, "You smoke?"
"Oh, nah I drink. But someone spilled their drink on me thinking I wear it too." I spoke in annoyance, August did a small chuckle.
"Sorry about my rude guests, you want another outfit to change into?" He asked me, I had to admit it surprised me.
"Oh no, I'm fine. Being in your house is enough for me, it's beautiful by the way." I told him in honesty.
"Thank you, and I like your voice it's beautiful too." He told me, "Nah, more like sexy."
"Uh, thank you." I could feel myself blushing in front of this guy that was more than intimidating in his own way. He was handsome I had to admit.
"Dana!" A familiar voice yelled from down the hall, I turned towards the sound along with August. Calen walked down the hall quickly looking me up and down then put his sights on August.
"Hernandez." Calen muttered lowly towards August, he took another pull from his blunt staring back at Calen.
"Rodriguez." August spoke squinting his eyes at him.
"Dana, it's time to go, now." Calen told me still looking at August, they must have a very bad history.
"You're serious right now? All I was doing was using the bathroom." I huffed looking up at him, he was doing too much.
"Well are you done?" He asked looking down at me.
"Yeah." I breathed, feeling him grab my hand, and I waved bye at August. He nodded at me with a wave of his own, watching us walk off.
~
Calen never let my hand go even when we got to outside of the estate, he chirped an all black car. It was a BMW that I didn't even think came out yet.
"I'm not ready to leave yet." I told him, he looked angry at me clenching his jaw. He looked sexy when he was mad. Maybe it was the liquor in me, but I didn't even realize how long I had even been talking to August.
It seemed like it had only been barely five minutes. But it was longer than that, probably why Calen came upstairs looking for me.
"Dana, please get in the car or I'll make you." He threatened me. How dare he?
"Are you serious right now, I'll just go find Cari and leave with her." I told him beginning to walk away, and I was swept off my feet after only two steps. His Armani cologne invaded my nostrils deeply making me weaker than usual to fight him off.
"Calen!" I yelled while he put me in his car, he closed the door. Locked it with his key button every time I tried to unlock the door.
Getting in the drivers side, he pushed started the car driving off from the estate. I folded my arms over my chest, angry that he was trying to treat me like a child or something.
"So you're kidnapping me now, very mature." I scrunched my eyebrows in anger.
"I've been calling your damn phone all night, why you ignoring me?" He asked, thinking his question justified his actions obviously.
Low key his bold act did turn me on as much as I wanted to be mad at him.
"Until you were ready to just talk about stuff, I didn't want to hear nothing else." I told him, looking over he had his free hand holding his chin.
"We've talked Dana, I just wanted to-"
"Have sex, yeah I'm sure." I cut him off looking away from him.
He scoffed having me looking back over at him, "Believe me I want to do more than that to your ass."
"Calen!" I yelled not believing he was trying to joke around right now.
"What? I'm at least being honest, your ass act like you don't want me but I know better."
He drove down the road, turning on the overhead light to look for something.
"Don't try and tell me what I want." I spoke looking in his face and he smoothly made eye contact with me doing a squint of his eyes.
"Stop fronting with me Dana." He spoke softly, my heart skipped a beat as we kept eye contact, I looked away from him.
"That's what the fuck I thought."
"Swear you make me sick." I huffed looking away from him while he turned off the overhead light putting his spliff between his lips.
"I don't understand, how we got here." He muttered lighting a spliff, I looked over at him.
"You stopped loving me, that's how!" I yelled at him, taking another pull he put his blunt out, parking the car on the side of the road. Letting down his window he blew the smoke and turned towards me.
"I've never stopped fuckin' loving you!" He yelled at me clenching his jaw, "Everything I've done has been for you!"
"No, it's been for your family." I sniffled, "And I don't blame you for picking them over me I would've done the same."
"Fuck Dana, no, that's not how it is." He leaned closer to me, placing his right hand on my bare left thigh that my skirt didn't cover, "If you just give me the chance I'll tell you whatever you want, and you're all that matters to me."
"Well talk. Right now." I demanded in a softer tone looking over at him and I wish I hadn't. His brown eyes looked like fire staring me down. His warm right hand clenched my thigh gently.
"You switching our chains, that was strike one. I just felt my guards to respect what you want come down." He started, licking over his full pink lips slowly. It made me throb in hearing him bearing his thoughts, showing his sweet vulnerability.
His eyes analyzed me slowly, before he just moved the center down in the car so that he could move closer to me, this isn't going how I wanted in no way at all...but it just felt. Right.
"That fucking bikini was strike two, and then you rejected me in the boat..." He breathed moving his adam's apple while he talked and swallowed.
I couldn't talk, just get sucked up into him, fuck.
"Then seeing you talking to some other dude in the hall set me on fire, and I'm sorry for how I acted." He apologized in a soft tone, I felt his hand move further between my inner thighs.
"Calen." I groaned in frustration and want fearing for this to happen, he had me where I didn't need to be with him, we hadn't even talked yet.
"What?" He asked, his hand moving further he kept eye contact with me while cars passed us on the street.
"Can you please.." I breathed grabbing his tattooed diamond chained wrist feeling his fingertips reach the cloth of my panties.
"Stop?" He asked in a whispering purr, "Why when you know you don't fuckin' want me to baby?"
"Because we need to talk." I gasped taking in his fingers, after so long back where they were supposed to be.
"But, you dripping for me Dae." He whispered biting his bottom lip, his fingers slid left to right on my sensitive nub.
In little circles he rubbed up and down my center leaning more on my side of the car. Using his free hand he gripped my right thigh pulling my legs towards his side of the car.
"No, we need to-"
"We don't need to talk about shit." He looked into my eyes, throwing my shoes out the window pulling my hips closer to him. My head laid on the passenger seat I closed my eyes knowing I wasn't going to win, his soft hand gripped my body like I was his most prized possession.
Pushing my skirt up he ripped my panties in one swift move, I heard them tear slowly seeing he threw them out the car too. Then he kissed my left inner thigh with such gentle ease.
I gasped as he began to blow on me, reaching up his hand he moved my shirt up moving my bra out the way. Slowly his fingertips began to play with my left nipple.
"I fuckin' love you Dana, and I want you." Was his last words before he dived into my pearl like it had been centuries.
Slurping, sucking, moaning and groaning is all he put me through in eternal bliss his mouth made love to me, and he wasn't finished there.
"I don't want you to come like this, baby let me..." He trailed off softly grabbing my hips he stopped before I hit my peak, pulling me on top of him.
"Calen, we can't I-"
He pressed his mouth softly to mine kissing slow letting me taste myself, plunging his tongue down my throat. Tasting like sugar I indulged in his lips pulling away so I can breathe. Going for the sensitive spot on the right side of my neck next he bit, only to softly glide against the spot putting a hickie.
"Not like this, I don't want to lose my virginity like this!" I yelled at him, he had my nerves and emotions all over the place.
"Dana-"
"Just, lets go back to the house Calen. Now!" I yelled, glad he had stopped his attack on me before it went too far. I moved back over to my side of the car, feeling like an idiot that I went back on my word and promise to myself.
Fuck.

I originally came up with these ideas myself, that including my forewarning and playlists’ formatting. I would hate for new readers to be led astray by thinking I’m stealing from someone else when that really isn’t the case at all! That was the only real explanation I could think of when it came down to injecting my developing mind, body and soul with any chemical compound that broke me down until I completely surpassed the feeling of numb. Numb to the fact I was being exploited more ways than one by the hands of those other than my own. Numb to the fact I endured it all just to temporarily substitute the void my mother left Roam and I in since the ages of six and ten. She manifested every aspect of the young woman I was so desperately trying to become;independent, selfless and seemed to have the answer to any question thrown her way. I grew dependent on men, selfish to my own habits and breach to every promise I vowed to keep, even those that were left lying on her deathbed. I was untouchable,Mr. Nicky Barnes, until I was repeatedly caught up in my own acts and imprisoned by the same narcotics that made me numb. The good thing about rehabilitation was that I found time to humble myself, the bad thing about rehabilitation was that it was always hard to resist temptation. My final recovery couldn't have came at a better timing. It was Summer of 1977 when I made my return to the burning borough of the Boogie Down Bronx to make amends with my only sibling, make steep career choices, fall in love with a man with just as much venom as myself, resist folding under the pressure of the crooked cops and maybe even get a hit of that sweet stuff they call Hip-Hop.

[APPEAL-2]: Chapter 2// Issa Date
CADE
Tumblr media
"I don't have time for this shit," I grumbled as I walked into rented office space, downtown L.A. It was almost 10pm on a Sunday night and all I wanted to do was crawl back into my big ass bed.
"Finally! The champ is here!" That was Trell's loud mouth ass. I only smacked my lips before giving dabs to a few of the late night workers. I watched as Trell inhaled smoke from the fat blunt before passing it my way.
Fuck it, I'm already here.
I took a long pull before passing it back to him.
"What was the big emergency, my nigga?" I asked once all of the smoke cleared from my vision.
"Bodies dropping, my nigga... that's the big emergency." My face contorted as I looked at some of the workers for confirmation. They nodded in agreeance before letting out deep sighs.
I met Trell in the corner office and took a seat beside him on the black couch.
"What--"
"Two of our young niggaz got got. One on 98th Street and the other on 53rd Road." He shook his head after he was finished speaking. Confusion was the only emotion on my face as I tried to make sense of what the fuck he just relayed to me.
"How in the fuck are our people dropping if they're supposed to be strapped?!" I suddenly boomed as I jumped up from my seat on the couch.
"Calm down nigga. This is exactly why I told your behind the scenes ass that we need to have our men double up. I knew some shit was brewing. I felt it in my knee." I didn't want to laugh, but when he patted his right knee I allowed the chuckles to seep through.
"This ain't no laughing matter, C-man. We gotta send packages to the young homies families. Shit ain't gonna bring em back, but they families still gotta eat. I think one of the niggaz got a kid, too." My jaw clenched after hearing that. A lof of the niggaz working our corners had kids, and that shit hit a lil closer for me.
"Aight man, give they families whatever they need. Do we at least know which crew is coming at us?" I was seated beside him again as I searched his ugly ass face for answers.
"Word on road is there's some East coast nigga in town named 'H'. What type of bullshit ass name is that?" He shook his head while I chuckled lowly. "None of these other crews would dare come after us. They respected Cole too much to fuck with his operation. He fed a lot of those niggaz when we had too much product on our hand to move." I nodded in agreeance. It's only been two years since Cole was killed, but niggaz could have came after us then.
Was an out town nigga really plucking our men off?
-----------------------
It was Monday morning and I was parked outside of Sonya's luxury apartment building, just waiting for her and Amir to come downstairs. I was tired as shit since I didn't get in until after midnight, and had to be up less than six hours later to get myself ready.
It didn't matter how tired I was-- I was not missing my lil man's first day of pre-K.
I quickly tossed my phone into the cup holder once I seen Amir running up to my truck.
"Daddy! Look, I got shoes like you!" I chuckled as I watched him place his baby foot next to mine. He was wearing the black Balenciaga sneakers that I got him a few days ago, when I went shopping with him and his mom.
I just so happened to be wearing my black Balenciaga sneakers as well-- though mine were paired with some 'KITH' sweatpants, and Amir rocked black jeans and a simple Prada t-shirt. My twin was swagged the fuck out, ya hear me?
"Hi, beautiful, how are you?" I tried to kiss her cheek but she swerved my shit before quickly walked over to the passenger side of the car. I groaned before picking up a clueless Amir, and strapping him into the car seat in the middle of the car.
"What's the issue now, Sonya? Damn, I swear it's everyday with you." I easily pulled out onto the street and began the familiar trip to Mcdonalds. I was starving, and my lil man needed food in his system for his first day. If Sonya lost the sour attitude then maybe I'd get her a hashbrown.
"It's funny how you claim you want to be with me, and be a family with me and your son. But when I invite you over, you leave my shit on read? You're hella weird."
"Sonya, please--"
"No, Cade, let me cook. You're always preaching this togetherness shit but you really don't want to be together. You just want to fuck on me every three business days."
I waited until I pulled behind the car in the Mcdonalds drive thru before finally placing my vision on her. "Stop cursing in front of Amir, I'm tired of telling you that."
She opened her mouth to respond but I beat her to it. "I was caught up at the office last night, aight? Two kids that work for me got off'd, and I--"
"Oh my goodness, I am so sorry Cade." She now wore this pout on her face as she laid her head against the passenger window. "How are you taking it?"
"I'm aight, Son Bon. One of them had a kid, though, so that part was messing with me. We making sure is family taken care of though. All while tryna figure out who is coming for us."
"Please be safe, Cade... you and Trell. I wish you would just walk away from that dark ass life." I rolled my eyes before turning front and applying gas to the car. It was now my time to order.
I ordered Sonya and my meal immediately, as our order was identical and has not changed in the last four years. I decided on the kiddie pancake platter for Amir, and then we were on the way to the daycare.
SONYA
Tumblr media
Cade was shaking his head as I wiped the million and one tears that fell from my eyes. "Come on, Sonya, you do this shit every year." He tugged on my elbow as an attempt to get me from my cemented position in the daycare's hallway.
Amir disappeared into his class a few minutes ago but it's like I could not move from my stance. "It's not funny, Cade! That's my only baby." I began tearing up again as I stared aimlessly down the hallway. My fair-skin babyfather was in stiches as he leaned up against a bulletin board.
I finally gathered myself before walking past his insensitive ass.
"What you about to do? You want me to drop you home or--"
"I actually need to head with you to the office. Amber and I have a spa date, and she's already at the office with Trell." Ignoring the 'I beg your pardon?' ass look he was sending me, I walked over to the passenger side of the car and waited for him to unlock the doors.
It wasn't until I strapped my seatbelt across my chest when I realized he was still muggin my shit. As if I owed him rent money or some shit. "Yes, Cade?" I huffed. My emotions were all over the place from leaving my baby at the daycare, so he needed to not fuck with me this morning.
"You know I don't like you down at the office., Sonya. Why can't Amber just meet you at the spa? Where the spa at? I'll drop you."
"Cade, no, Amber is already waiting for me at the office and--"
"And do I give a fuck?"
I pinched the shit out of his arm and smiled in accomplishment at the sound of his bitch ass groans. "Watch ya mouth, Cade and let's go."
xxx
I was seated in Cade's office as I waited for Amber to finish speaking with Trell. The two offices here were made of glass, so I was literally looking across the room at Trell's office as he and Amber discussed God knows what.
I could feel Cade's eyes on me.
Strange, because his laptop was open and he was typing, yet he could still stare into my soul.
"I wanna take you out tonight. See if Shazelly can watch Amir and tell her I'll bless her cashapp." He chuckled, while I found nothing funny at all. Cade did this thing where he swore he was the only nigga in my life, and I had nothing better to do than go out with him whenever he decided to take me out.
"Cant, I'm busy." That was a lie, but I didn't care. I needed to put some boundaries between Mr. Cade and I. There clearly weren't any, and I was to fault for that as well. All of those late night sex link-ups really muddied this co-parenting thing that we were doing.
"You're not busy, Sonya," he paused his typing to laugh out loud. I ignored his laughter and only checked my email on my phone. Although I was currently a stay at home mom, and have been one since Amir's birth... I was considering going back to school.
I'm not sure if nursing is the route I still want to take, but I will be meeting with some college counselors to discuss my future.
"Hello, earth to baddie Sonya."
"What happen?" I locked my phone after not seeing a response email from any of the counselors I emailed a few days ago.
"I said I'm taking you to Nobu-- I know you love it there and you want their yellowtail in your mouth, bad." I crossed my legs once I seen him lick over his rosy lips.
You see what I mean by lack of boundaries?
Somehow I agreed to this 'date', and now had to check my younger sister's availability to babysit-- as well as add shopping onto my errands list today.
"Fine, but you're picking up Amir from school. I have to find a dress and--"
"That ain't no problem. He gets out at 2, right?" I nodded as I quickly sent out the message to Shazelly. She responded rather quickly and told me to bring her nephew whenever, she would be at her apartment all day.
Sitter secured.
Next would be the dress.
