I am distinctly not a supertaster and while I love food and cooking I’ve often wondered if I’m the opposite of a supertaster because I like a lot of bitter flavors and extremely sweet flavors; most of my major food dislikes are more related to texture; and also both my parents and at least one of my siblings has the cilantro hater gene and I honestly don’t know if I have it because like, I love cilantro but also I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t hate the taste of soap. Anyway I say all of this because whenever I’m like “wouldn’t it be cool to have a more sensitive palate” I remember that Chris Morocco can’t enjoy Takis.
