Bakumomo Week Day 1: Band/Music

In which Momo pays for all 1A Band broken drumsticks and a certain hot blooded blond soon-to-be-hero feels slightly guilty and bought her brand new ones and she doesn’t understand why he did that but is nonetheless grateful.

Alas, my fellow shippers, the time has come for the return of BakuMomo Week!! This is not a drill, nor is it an April Fools joke! I actually made sure to post this after april fools lul~

First of all, I would like to thank you all for being very patient and understanding in waiting for BKMM week this year. I initially had everything ready in February to take place in March, but life happened and it unfortunately had to be pushed back, but now its HERE! This fandom is truly blessed! A year ago, this was a small little rare pair and to see such growth is honestly astonishing! Everyone deserves mention, you guys rock! With that said, let’s get on with the post!

The Dates : May 12th - May 18 I made a typo in the graphic, I just noticed OTL(again thank you guys for waiting!!!)

As always, you don’t have to follow these to a T if they aren’t inspiring to you! We love seeing contributions in any shape or form!

* You are not required to complete all the prompts! I know sometimes I used to stress with shipweeks because I’d get a block for a certain prompt, THIS IS FOR FUN! Its not meant to stress you out!

Recital

Momo has a piano concert. Katsuki helps her out.

[Aged Up Characters, College AU, Pre-Relationship] 

Written for Bakumomo Week.

"I'm nervous," Momo said quietly, staring into the mirror as she sat before the vanity. Usually she would keep quiet about such things and use her quirk to create something she could unobtrusively fiddle with, but ever since she'd asked Katsuki to help her, she'd begun to open up to him more and more. She looked at him standing behind her as she tried to wrangle her hair into some semblance of style.

"Don't be nervous, you'll do fine," he told her. "You always do fine." Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, but rather than her usual style, it fell in a wave of curls.

Her eyes fell to her lap as she wrung her hands around her dress. "I've never preformed before this many people before," she told him. "What if I make a mistake? What I forget the notes?"

He hit her hands, forcing them to here sides. "Cut it out, you'll wrinkle your dress."

"Sorry," she said softly.

"Turn around so I can do your make up."

She did what he said without complaint. Momo was always terrible at this sort of thing. She was always too shaky and nervous to do her own make up, despite being rather good at choosing things that looked good together. Katsuki was a blessing for that alone. She looked up, feeling her cheeks heating up at his closeness and averting his gaze.

"Do you think my mother and father will make it today? Or our classmates?"

"They arranged this thing. If they can't even be bothered to show up..." He cut himself off with a frown, saying instead, "Of course those idiots from class will show up. Hell, halve the damn school would show up if you had enough invitations. And they're damn lucky to have been invited."

Her cheeks heated further and she pressed her lips together.

"I swear to god if you bite your lips I'll fucking blow up your piano so hard you'll have to create a new one twice," he growled.

She forced herself to relax, closing her eyes and ignoring the frustrated noise that Katsuki made. He moved from her eyes to her lips and she felt the small tugs as he painted them. He tapped her chin when he was done and she opened her eyes. She wasn't expecting him to still be so close and her breath caught a little.

"Hey," he placed a hand on her shoulder. "You'll do great. You've worked your ass off for this."

She smiled at him, warmth blooming in her heart. "Thank you, Katsuki. I couldn't have done this without you."

"Yeah, you could have," he told her. He stood up and took a step back. "Now go out there and kick ass. I didn't do all this for you to go out there and bomb."

Katsuki escorted her to the stage, where she took a few breaths before heading out. There was a sea of people waiting for her and butterflies rampaged in her stomach as she crossed the stage to the piano waiting for her. She thought of Katsuki threatening to blow up her piano, imagined him coming out here because she missed a note or faltered in her rhythm and actually doing so live on stage, and she smiled, calmer, and began her set.

After the show, she couldn't help but throw herself into Katsuki's arms, surprising both herself and him with her abruptness. "Katsuki! I did it!"

His surprise melted into a grin and he brushed a stray curl over her shoulder. "Yeah, you did. You were fucking great, like I knew you'd be."

"I was only great because I had you helping me," she told him.

"That's not true. You were kick ass on the piano way before you asked for my help."

"But I wasn't confident like I am with you," she admitted. "I wasn't... having fun, like I am now. And I don't want to do this without you anymore." She laced their fingers together. "Not if I don't have to."

Katsuki's eyes widened and he looked at their laced hands for a moment before his grin became even wider. "Yeah, I wouldn't want you to do this without me either," he replied.

Momo giggled and pushed his shoulder. "Katsuki!"

He pulled her closer, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Hey, I wouldn't have been helping you out in the first place if I didn't think highly of you," he told her.

He leaned closer to her and she whispered, "You threatened me when I nearly ruined my lipstick."

"Yeah, well, I put it on. I can mess it up if I want." Then he leaned forward and claimed her lips. She responded happily, throwing her arms around his neck and returning his passion.

I actually have been planning on continuing to with bkmm into 2019! I just wasn’t sure if it should fall on Valentine’s week as the year before, or if I should push it back to March.

I’d love to hear thoughts and suggestions if y’all have some!
