Hey, imagine Bakugo finding out about Denki's scars when they accidentally get caught in a rainstorm because thwy were hidden under make-up.
Yep good good good
Usually, Denki wears waterproof makeup. Because, you never know. He’s been using the same thing for years, and it has never failed him.
Of course, they moment he ran out of his usual and had to use an old, absolutely not waterproof counceler, the sky is dark and menacing.
His uniform is short sleeved and he has no jacket; if he get caught under the rain with other people around... he eyes the sky the whole day, tense and worried. The first crack resonates around noon. An hour later, it’s pouring outside.
The hair is humid and hot despite the closed windows, and Denki does his best to keep his quirk in.
Class ends, and it’s still raining heavily outside. His classmates complain about the meters they’ll have to run to the dorms and Denki takes all of his poor acting skill halfway through the shoe lockers to say he forgot something inside and that they can go ahead. He runs slowly to the classroom and waits here for a minute or two, in front of the door, sighing at the sound of the water hitting the concret and the roof.
When he deems it safe enough, he walks back to the lockers. When he sees Katsuki leaning against them, he stops dead in his tracks.
« What are you doing here ? »
« Shut up and hurry. I have things to do. »
Denki’s heart beats a bit faster because hey, Kastuki waited for him.
Fuck, Katsuki waited for him.
There’s an awkward laugh coming from Denki, and he changes his shoes fast.
« Did you get what you forgot ? »
« What ? »
« Did you get what you ran back to class to get ? »
« Oh ! Oh, yeah I did. Just a... pencil. You know. »
Kastuki looks at him like he wants to say something, but doesn’t comment on the obvious lie. Denki shoulders his bag and look outside. The rain hasn’t stopped at all. If he run fast enough and go straight to his room as soon as they get in the dorms, Katsuki might not see the scars lingering his arms.
He smiles at his friend and stars running. Katsuki isn’t long to follow and to go faster then Denki. He slows down a bit, and Denki feels his heart beats in his ears for the second time in a few minutes. They run side to side until they get to the dorm. Denki can’t say if it’s the rain or the makeup running down his arms and he doesn’t stop to make sure. Katsuki opens the door and they get inside, breathing heavily.
Denki remembers his arms and straighten up suddenly. His hand is on the staircase’s doorknob when he feels fingers on his wrist.
Katsuki seems as surprised as him for a second before his eyes run down the scars on Denki’s arms. Some are older than others, but they’re visible against his skin under the harsh light of the hallway. Katsuki’s grip is strong, almost painful.
Finally, the boy looks up into Denki’s eyes. He’s angry and surprised and worried, at once, it seems. He lets Denki’s wrist go.
« What the fuck ? »
« Katsuki, I- »
« Who did that to you ? »
The scars along his arms are like lightning and cuts, and yet Katsuki’s so sure Denki didn’t do this himself. Of course he didn’t.
« It’s not important. »
Katsuki scoffs and his eyes seem darker, more dangerous, suddenly.
« Dont fucking lie. It is, if you’ve been hiding it. Some of them are recent. »
Denki wonders how he knows that. Well, it’s Katsuki. He knows a lot of skin. Everything in him screams go to you room, hide away, dissappear and hug him and cry and tell him everything. The conflicts must be visible on his face because Katsuki closes his eyes and breath deeply once, twice.
« I won’t force you if you’re not ready to talk about it. But don’t say it’s not important. »
Denki nods, slowly. No, he isn’t really ready to talk about it. He told himself no one would know. Told himself that being a hero would make the scars less suspicious.
He turns back and take the stairs to his room, carefully looking to make sure no one else sees him. Once he get inside he dries himself, take of his wet clothes and bury himself in a hoodie he took from Kirishima’s room.
Katsuki stays in the hallway for a little longer, until Tokoyami finds him dripping all over the floor and tells him he should probably get dry before those on cleaning duty find him. There’s melted concealer on his hands.
Oh i liked writing that ! Also Katsuki definitely has scars from his quirk so he knows about that.

Okay, how about trans Denki helping Kats with make-up, since his mask doesn't fit right and he needs eyeliner and stuff so it doesn't look stupid? - 🧜🏿
Not that fun fact : I wrote for that and then lost what I wrote yay ! This is my :) THRID :) TIME :) DOING :) THIS :))))
Anyway I !! Love that idea so much- I hc that Katsuki already does his eyeliner (I mean have you seen his eyes ? Please) but I love the idea of Denki being good at makeup ! You didn’t specify so I’ll use they/them for Denki because I ... want to
So, the first time Denki sees Katsuki’s in his hero costume, they think two things : « Wow, it looks so cool » and « But that mask is ridiculous like that » Of course, at the time, they’re nowhere near close enough for Denki to even try to tell him that. He doesn’t want to get hurt or yelled at, no thanks.
Denki started liking makeup in middle school. It started at a mild interest for eyeliners and ended up at full blown admiration at the most colorful makeups. They bought their first eyeshadow palette ‘just to try it out !’ but it didn’t take them long to start buying more. They experimented on the weekends, spent hours every day looking at makeup tutorials and such on YouTube...
By the time they came to UA, they were already pretty proud of what they could do. But, it was supposed to stay a hobby, something they would do only in the privacy of their room where no one could see. Of course, with the dorms, that becomes even harder to do, and there’s basically no time for it anymore except very late at night. Which is not the best.
That thing about Katsuki and his mask never stopped bothering them. Like, just a bit of eyeshadow and some eyeliner would suffice but no ! Katsuki stays like that, looking dumb. Denki keeps it in until they can’t anymore. They just finished Hero training and they’re back in the changing room.
« Okay, Katsuki, I’m sorry to say this but you look so dumb with your mask like that. We can see your skin ! What’s even the point ? »
There’s silence for all three seconds before the explosive boy starts yelling at them.
« Aah ? Say that again, Pikachu ? »
« I’m sorry ! But it’s been bothering me for so long, by all might, can’t you do something for it ? Makeup is a thing, you know ! Face paint is too ! »
There’s more yelling after that, but Denki catches him frowning at his reflection just before taking his mask off.
He waits for them, surprisingly. Katsuki’s always the first to get out of here while Denki’s one of the last. Hey, it just takes them a long time to change, okay ? They’re careful not to destroy their costume.
Eijirō and Hanta walk ahead, talking about an anime they saw recently, and Katsuki walks slowly until him and Denki are side by side. He mumbles something under his breath that Denki doesn’t catch.
« What ? »
« I said, where the fuck do you expect me to find face paint ! »
« Oh. Well, I don’t know for that. I have makeup, thought, if you- shit. »
Well, they talked before thinking again. There’s a glint of surprise that pass in Katsuki’s eyes before he tsk and rolls his eyes.
« It’s not like I know how to use any of that shit. It doesn’t matter ! »
Denki stays silent. A part of him really wants to ask him if they can do it for him, and another part is embarrassed that they even thought about it. Katsuki would probably say no anyway.
« Well, Pikachu ? »
« What ? »
« Aren’t you going to ask me if you can show me how to do it ? »
That make Denki stops in their step. Katsuki’s looking at them like he’s got them all figured out.
« Do you... want me to ? »
« I’m not the one who will have to do anything. »
« Oh... Okay, then. Okay. I’ll show you how to do it, yeah ? »
« Hmpf. Whatever. »
Typical Katsuki move. Denki smiles and Eijirō tells them to hurry up with a shout and the wave of a hand from where Hanta and him are.
Katsuki comes knocking at Denki’s door the same night. He sits on the floor with his arms crossed. He doesn’t look comfortable but then again, he’s rarely the one to reach out or visit his friends like that.
Denki’s makeup is in a suitcase. They’ve gotten a lot of things with time, and it’s the easiest way to store it. They take from under their bed, and try to block Katsuki’s view of it when they open it and reach out for a palette, a brush and an eyeliner. When they sit back in front of Katsuki, he doesn’t say anything.
« Do you have your mask with you ? I don’t know how much I’ll have to cover. »
« Yeah, I got it. »
He ties it behind his head and Denki gets lost in the sigh for a bit. They snap out of it when his eyes open again, bright red in the falling night.
Denki opens the palette and dip the brush in. They’re not used to doing someone else’s makeup. It’s very different from doing their own- they can’t know how mich pressure they can put on the brush, if it’s comfortable or not. They try to go slow and gentle. The eyeshadow is pigmented on itself and pretty easy to apply - it’s why they choose it- and they try to fill in all the skin showing.
Katsuki opens his eyes again, and it’s so much better. He still needs eyeliner, though, and Denki tells him to close his eyes again. It’s a liquid liner, and it’s hard to keep their hands steady. After a few bad strokes, they get up and move around the table until they’re right in front of Katsuki. He still hasn’t said anything. He stays still and follows the open your eyes, close them again, please .
It’s easier that way, but also much more... intimate. They’re really close. Denki try to stay focused on their task instead of the way Katsuki’s breath hit their skin, or how they feel their own cheeks get warmer. After the last stoke, they sit back and look at it.
« Open your eyes ? »
Katsuki does, and yeah, that’s it. Denki nods, satisfied, and fetch a little mirror on their desk. Katsuki looks at himself for a minute before he puts the mirror back down.
« ´Guess it’s better. »
« Right ? »
Katsuki then look at them until Denki feels the blush creeps back in.
« I still don’t know how to do it. »
« Oh... Sorry ! I’ll just show you next time, okay ? I’ll get you some makeup wipes, stay here. »
They fly to the bathroom, embarrassed at themselves for not thinking of just guiding him instead of doing it.
When they come back to the main room, the mask is on the table. Katsuki’s looking outside. The sunset throws reds and oranges on his face and it makes him look softer, or maybe it’s Denki’s fast beating heart that does it. The makeup is strange with the mask off, but it gives a vibe of dangerous and serious that contrasts with the colors dancing on Katsuki’s skin. It’s beautiful.
Denki kneels and hands him the wipes. He gets up and closes the bathroom door behind him and Denki stays here, breathing deep to calm down. They know they won’t forget that sight for a long time.
When Katsuki gets out, he leaves the room almost immediately. Just before Denki close the door behind him, he stops and looks behind his shoulder.
« Next time, show me the rest. »
And he leaves, like that, as if nothing happened.
Denki’s never shared their makeup before. Their parents have seen it a few time, not enough to really get how they like brigh blue on their cheeks and reds on their nose, glitter and gloss and white mascara just for the fun of it.
Maybe the next time Katsuki comes to them for that, they have a little blush and a bit of eyeshadow on too. Maybe. (And maybe Katsuki asks about other colors and starts wearing eyeliner and red eyeshadow everyday cause it looks cool)
Okay so I wrote Katsuki a little different here ! He totally knows Denki likes him hehe (and he likes them too)
Also that was very self indulgent because I love makeup and I’m literally not capable of doing anything... natural or simple. It’s gotta be too much, too colored, too visible, haha. Except for the very frustrating fact that I had to write that three/four times, it was very fun ! Thank you !

I lost the ask but if I remember correctly it was : Denki having vitiligo and hiding it with makeup and Katsuki finding out about it
(Warning for really fucking shitty parents who force him to hide it/think it’s disgusting etc and a panic attack )
Denki’s vitiligo started when he was around 6. As soon as the doctor explained what is was, his parents told him to hide. Which was pretty easy at first, when it was just a few discoloured patches here and here, but as it grew his parents’ disgust did too. Eventually, he started disliking it too.
He thought it was pretty, at first, strange but pretty. He wasn’t allowed to talk about it but he liked to draw the outlines and try to see what it reminded him off. He stopped pretty fast. After all, if wasn’t anything to be proud of, according to his parents.
When he couldn’t hide it under clothes anymore, his mom dragged him to a store -they rarely went out together- so they could buy makeup. The person who helped them find the correct shade was really kind, and didn’t comment on anything. Their hands were gentle when they took Denki’s to apply the product, and he got embarrassingly close to crying at that. He was a big boy, though, he wasn’t allowed to cry. Especially not in the middle of a store.
So he learnt to hide it, came back to the store and looked for the person of that day everytime. He hoped High School could be a new start. That he would be old enough to make his own decisions. But that’s just wishful thinking, and his parents don’t get any kinder with him. It’s worse, even, when they learn he wants to be a hero. There’s the habitual “you’re too stupid to do that” and a new “You really think you can be a hero when you’re like that ?” that hurt just as much.
He works his ass off and loses half his hours of sleep studying, and he gets accepted in UA anyway.
He makes sure to always have his makeup on- and if Mina asks about foundation he says it’s because he gets red easily and it’s embarrassing. He doesn’t draw on his skin anymore.
There’s no one like him, after all. The doctor said he wasn’t the only one who has vitiligo but he sure as hell hasn’t ever seen anyone else like him. Even less a hero. Heroes are perfect, and he’s not. (A part of him knows it’s stupid, because no one is perfect, but the idea that he’s wrong because of that thing he has no control over is so deeply implanted in him that he can’t think otherwise.)
Of course, his peaceful life where no one knew about it doesnt last. It gets so much harder once they get in the dorms -his parents happily send him there but not without threat and reminders that if people knew they would kick you out of school.
It’s Friday night, he received yet another bad grade and he’s exhausted. He turned down Sero when he asked if he would come to Game Night, inventing a headache that wouldn’t go. He scrubs the makeup off as soon as he gets in his room. He looks at the white patches all over his body for a few seconds before shame settles in his stomach and he looks away. He puts his pajamas on quickly and falls down onto his bed with a sigh.
His sleep schedule has been terrible ever since those months he spent studying to get into Yuuei, so he knows that even if he’s tired sleep won’t come until at least 1am. He tries anyway.
He gives up at midnight after turning around in his bed more time than he can count. He’s thirsty. He takes the empty bottle on his bedside table and opens his door quietly. Not everyone’s asleep, he knows, and being caught right now would suck. He takes the stairs and doesn’t switch the light on when he arrives to the kitchen. There’s no need to- he just has to do a quick wash and fill it again.
He’s rinsing the soap off when he hears footsteps. He stops breathing, hoping with all he has that whoever is coming won’t put the light on and see him. He turn back to the sink and hurries.
When he turns around, he can barely see Katsuki in the dark. They both look at each other, surprised, before Denki nods and run back to his room. He keeps his head low until he’s passed Katsuki.
The next morning, he’s woken up by knocks on his door. He groans and open an eye to see the time: it’s 7:47. Oh, he slept in today. Wow, he slept in ! He hasn’t woken up so late in... a very long time.
The knocks don’t stop and he gets up before one of his floormate complains about it. He puts a sweater on when there’s a chill dressing the hairs on his arms and open the door with a sigh.
Katsuki looks at him for two seconds before he pushes him out of the way and sits down at his desk. He let the books he has on his arms plop down on the wood and the sound it makes make Denki wince. It’s early.
“What is it ?”
“I know you got a bad grade, so we’re studying.”
“Now ? It’s Saturday ! It’s not even 8 !”
“Yes, now. You’re awake anyway.”
“Well, I wasn’t before you knocked.”
Denki’s standing next to Katsuki with his arms crossed when he looks up and see his reflection on the window.
He run to the bathroom, locks the door behind him and forces his breath to slow down. He doesn’t have any makeup on. And Katsuki saw it.
He’s going to think it’s disgusting and wrong, like Denki’s parents do and he’ll tell everyone and-
“What the fuck are you doing ?”
Denki can’t think, can’t breath, can’t look at himself.
“Opens the door, Pikachu. Fuck, I’ll open it myself and you don’t want that.”
Denki blindly reaches out to unlock it and get away as fast as he can. His rational mind can’t seem to work at the moment and he can only prepare himself to be hurt.
But when hands lay on his skin, they’re soft and hesitant. They open his finger gently but firmly so they stop gripping his hair, and when the silence becomes too much, Denki opens his eyes.
Katsuki’s looking at him, their hands together. He’s kneeling, non-threatening.
“Are you like that because I saw your vitiligo ?”
Denki closes his eyes again and tries to wrench his hands to his chest but Katsuki doesn’t let go. He puts their forehead together instead, and Denki can feel his breath on the wetness of his cheeks.
“You’re... beautiful.”
It’s a whisper, but they’re so close that Denki hears it clearly. It doesn’t make sense, though. He’s a mess, a total mess, and yet Katsuki’s eyes look back to him with affection. Or, thats what it seems like to Denki, at least.
He hugs Katsuki with all he has and sons and cries, for whoever knows how long. There’s knocks on his door at some point but they both ignore it. Katsuki is obviously not used to hug, if the way he put his arms awkwardly around Denki after a few minutes is anything to go by.
Later, they stand up and Denki does his best not to look in the mirror. They sit on his bed and he explains, just a bit. Talks about the diagnostic years ago and his parents reaction, and the way he used to love it. Katsuki gets angry, of course, but not at him.
“Your parents are shit, and they’re wrong. There’s nothing wrong with you. You don’t need to hide it.”
“Did you...”
“What ?”
They sit next to each other, shoulders touching. Denki wonders what would happen if he took Katsuki’s hand again.
“Did you mean it ? What you said earlier ?”
Katsuki looks away but his hears are red and it makes Denki smile. They start talking about something else, and before either of them notice they’re laying down, side by side. Katsuki’s fingers find Denki’s arm and he begins to trace with a feather like touch the light spaces, until Denki’s speech dies down. He closes his eyes and allow himself to appreciate the feeling. No one has ever touched him so delicately. Maybe his parents did, once. He can’t really remember.
It makes him cry again, and he remembers when he used to draw on it too at the start.
He still wears his makeup for a long time, but he slowly gets used to Katsuki’s eyes and hands on his bare skin. It gets easier to look at himself in the mirror, and Katsuki sends him links and pictures of heroes and other famous people with vitiligo, too. It helps a lot.
When they graduate, he moves out of his parents’ house and gets a flat with Katsuki. They tell their friends they’re together, and when he’s finally comfortable enough in his skin, Denki tells them about his vitiligo. They’re suprised but understanding, and they tell him they love him how he is, vitiligo or not.
Here’s another thing that ended up super long and the actual thing you asked for was super short 😎😎😎 I wanna write about him being trans...
Also I really need to learn how to put a ´next part under the cut’ thing because this must be SO annoying to scroll through
I did a few research on vitiligo but I hope I didn’t write/portray anything too incorrectly !

In light of today's events, could we get BakuKami celebrating Bakugo's birthday? I imagine Denki didn't really have celebrations, but he would try his hardest to make Bakugo's birthday special.
Okay so, Katsuki isn’t one for like, surprise party and stuff. I feel like doing that would be one of Denki’s first idea before he thought that it’s probably not the best. Following the line of the other hc I made, I think Denki would probably cook something for him, like his favorite spicy thing.
He managed to train in secret, making the same meal a few times a month so it isn’t too suspicious. He waits for him to get down for breakfast, making sure there isn’t too many people in the common room (a bit because he knows Katsuki has a hard time expressing feelings with people around and a bit because he wants him to himself). They eat together and talk like usual, and hold hands on the table. They hug a bit too because there’s no one around. Katsuki doesn’t particularly like his birthday, but it’s his first time celebrating it with a boyfriend, and friends, and far from his parents. If it’s like that every year, he might start to appreciate the day.
They eat breakfast and, if it’s a school day, walk to class with the squad like usual. Denki is more clingy for sure, holding Katsuki’s hand despite the energy from them both that make the thing a bit risky. He send Katsuki messages during the whole day, love confessions and dumb jokes and Katsuki takes them with a sigh but he doesn’t scold him. He takes a hundred pictures, with the squad, and give him his present either in the morning or after class, at the same time as the others. Maybe new hiking equipment they all bought together, or a camera because he knows Katsuki likes to take pictures but doesn’t have what he needs to. There’s a card too, with a dumb drawing that’s supposed to represent them (Its a badly drawn Pikachu and a dandelion). Katsuki reads it and hug him tight, taking in the ‘thank you’ and ‘I’ll try my best to be here for you as long as I can’. There’s also some disgustingly romantic stuff written, pickup lines and poetry he without a doubt found on the internet.
(Katsuki likes it. He puts it in the box that holds a drawing of his family, pictures of his friends and the first attempts at finding a name and an hero costume. He fills it with the years.)
They watch a movie Kats choose all together, if it’s a weekend, and he stays after the squad is kicked out by his boyfriend. They decorated his room a bit with an “happy birthday” banner and ballons they blew up the night before. Katsuki and Denki hug and cuddle some more, and whisper like they always do. They sleep together, even if Aizawa sensei told them time and time again that they can’t do that. (Sometimes, teachers check the heat signatures in the rooms to make sure everyone’s here and safe). It’s a pretty normal day, except it’s better than usual.
For his other extrovert friends though... here comes a big BIG party he’s absolutely DELIGHTED to plan (Katsuki helps him even if it really isn’t his kind of thing because that way they can stay together and also Denki looks so happy Katsuki feels his heart miss a beat every time he looks at him)

Seeing that mates thing... Imagine Denki in Kacchan's clothes. Like, he's probably still so skinny from his parents not feeding him and stuff and Katsuki's clothes are just so big on him. As for how he got them, idk, maybe Denki was out, rain started to pour, when he came back he was soaked, so Kat just gave him his shirt or something?
Kanslajdjzc people in their partner’s clothes ? Absolute perfection please go on
So, it starts like that : rainy day, no umbrella, and Denki way too far from the dorms. He runs like his life depends on it because he hates being drenched and water isn’t his quirk’s best friend. Of course, running doesn’t change the fact then when he’s finally in the dorms, the door making a loud bang when he closes it too fast, he’s wet from head to toes. He’s cold and tired and a bit dizzy from keeping his quirk from activating during his run (I have hc about his quirks I am more than ready to share even though I probably already did at some point). Midoriya comes first, running to see what’s going on.
He runs back as fast as he came, yelling that he’s going to get some towels. Next to Denki, the elevator dings and the doors open. Katsuki looks at him for three second before frowning and telling him to take his shirt off. Now that’s a little... They change in the same space before Hero Training, so of course people have already seen him shirtless (although before anyone knew about his parents, he changed in a stall) but he’s still uncomfortable doing that, here.
Midoriya comes back with the towels and Katsuki take them and tells Deku to go away. He roughly dries Denki’s hair and clothes and when he deems him good enough, he pushes him to the elevator. He puts a dry towel on his shoulders for some warmth. They arrive to Katsuki’s room, and he tells him to take his clothes and go take a hot shower.
Denki does without thinking of the fact that he doesn’t have anything else but his own wet clothes at the moment. He’s freezing.
He comes out half an hour later, and sees Katsuki left him clothes. It doesn’t take him a long time to see it isn’t his own clothes; he doesn’t usually wear black shirt with skulls on them.
Of course, it’s too big. They don’t have that much height difference, but Denki’s life with his parents left him a bit underweight. (They’re working on that, though). He looks ridiculous. Fortunately, the sweat pants more or less fit. His hair is crazy, and he feels like a kid in these clothes. Well. Just another bad thing to keep on ruining his day.
When he finally comes out of the bathroom, there’s hot chocolate waiting for him. Katsuki looks at him but doesn’t say anything, he just gestures to the bed.
They cuddle and drink hot chocolate and when Denki goes back to his room and change into pajamas, he promises himself he’ll give Katsuki’s clothes back tomorrow.
Tomorrow because the day after and the one after that and he never gives it back. Katsuki doesn’t ask for it either, and Denki starts using it as pajamas. He gets used to the loose fabric and it makes him smile when he gains weight and it fits a bit more.
Somehow, Katsuki keeps on leaving his stuff -hoodies and sweaters- in his room and well... It’s actually super comfortable. It’s not like he’s stealing, right ? Katsuki’s leaving them here and when Denki wears them the other squeezes his hand like he’s happy he does.
(Katsuki just really like seeing Denki in his colors)
Anyway these boys are whipped for each other

Okay, but, imagine Denki being hit by a quirk that makes you hallucinate and constantly seeing his parents or the dead versions of his siblings or just generally things that would scare him, but, like, tries to hide it because yay for never having been allowed to say he was scared before, and that all works until Kat realizes he's been jumpy af and just trying to ground and comfort him and let him know he was safe whenever Denki did see/hear something like that.
Your ideas are SO GREAT ilysm
He was hit during hero training against another school. They had done 2 VS 2 fights, and when the quirk hit him he didn’t notice at first. His team won fast, and he high fives his partner, shaking hands with the enemy team joyfully. They’re from a little school a few hours away, and they fight well, but their class fought against actual villain, who’s goal was to kill. They fight with all they have.
On the bus back home, he sees his mother on the side of the road. She looks at him, right into his eyes, and doesn’t let go until they’re too far away from each other to be able to. He turns back and the conversation carries on. His voice is shaky (she’s not supposed to be here, she isn’t, what is she doing here ? How did she find him, what does she wants with him ? ).
When they arrive at the dorm, he concludes that it was just an hallucination. Because he’s tired, probably. She’s in prison, far away from him. If she broke out, Aizawa would have told him.
The next thing he sees is his little sister. He’s in his room, and the moon has been high in the sky for a few hours when he looks up and sees her. She’s standing here, in a corner of his room. She doesn’t say anything. There’s bloody injuries running down her arms and on her face, and Denki knows without trying to hard that it’s electricity that broke skin. She isn’t crying. The blood drips and pools on the floor, and it’s the only sound Denki can hear beside the electricity buzzing in his ear. This time, he knows it isn’t real for sure. She’s not here, and if she was she wouldn’t be so calm. She wasn’t here a second before, and it isn’t normal. Maybe he hasn’t been sleeping enough.
He puts his console down and the blanket high on his nose, but he can’t look away from her. A few hours later, he blinks and she’s gone.
He can’t sleep at all that night.
He keeps seeing his parents and his siblings everywhere. His parents always look angry, and sometimes they reach toward him like they want to hurt him. His siblings are all silent and still, but he wants nothing more than to hug them and heal them. They’re hurt, and their eyes are empty and dead and the nightmares that come when he manages to sleep for a few hours are full of them. He hasn’t tried going anywhere near them, though. He doesn’t know what it could do.
He can’t sleep. Not like he sleeps a lot usually, but it’s even worse now. Two weeks pass and he doesn’t stop seeing them. They don’t talk but he can almost hear their voices, and he doesn’t know if it comes from them or if it’s just memories that come back. At some point he starts seeing his friends too, although less often. They’re hurt, too, and they look at him like it’s his fault. He closes his eyes and tries to forget.
He’s terrified, all the time, but seeing his parents brought every bad habits years in an abusive household taught him. So he doesn’t say anything. He doesn’t complain, contains his shivers, looks away and keep the tears in. He flinches at every sudden movements, at the sight of blood and bruises, but that too he learn again to keep it in. It works well. His friends notice something is wrong but he blames a bad cold and short nights. He doesn’t sleep with Katsuki anymore.
It lasts for a month before Katsuki corners him and asks what’s wrong. Hes determined to know, and Denki’s exhausted. He sees his sister behind him, and this time the blood pools on the white floor until it touches Denki’s shoes and he knows it’s not here, but he hasn’t seen his siblings for real in some times and he can’t be sure they’re okay. He dreams of it, and they call and he hear their voices it doesn’t really help. He can’t look away from his feet and Katsuki nudges him for an answer. He won’t let it go, not this time.
Denki looks at him, and he doesn’t know what Katsuki sees in his eyes (fear, confusion, exhaustion, maybe) but his expression soften and he puts his hands on Denki’s cheeks.
“What’s going on ?”
Denki sobs and closes his eyes, and Katsuki hugs him. He cries until there’s no more blood on the floor and no more shadow in the corner. When he’s calmed down, Katsuki doesn’t ask anything but he knows he’ll want explanations. He’s hurt by how distant Denki has been. He’s allowed to keep some things to himself, of course, they don’t have to tell everything to each other. Katsuki keeps things too, things he’s not ready or doesn’t want to talk about. But this seem important, and it’s been going on for a long time. It feels like before, when Denki kept his parents’ abuse from everyone. They’re supposed to trust each other more, now.
They sit in Katsuki’s room and Denki tries to discreetly look around, but Katsuki’s focused on him. There’s usually a few hours between two hallucinations, so he should be okay.
“Denki ?”
He turns to him slowly, and he knows he’ll have to tell him. It’s too heavy to carry for him alone.
“Since that time we went to that other school for hero training I...”
He’s crazy, isn’t he ? A quirk doesn’t last that long. It’s just him. He’s seeing things and he can’t be a hero if he keep seeing things that aren’t here. They would never let him, it’s too dangerous, too-
Katsuki hums and hold his hand. He’s patient, let him take his time. His touch his grounding.
“I’ve been seeing my parents and my siblings.“
“What ? Your parents have been here? Aizawa would’ve-”
“They’re not here, but I see them anyway.”
“-told us. What ?”
Denki doesn’t say it again. He can’t. Katsuki looks at him for a long time and he closes his eyes. That’s it. He thinks he’s crazy. But Katsuki hugs him and apologizes, for some reason.
“I’m here, okay ? If you ever see them, tell me.”
It’s easier to know it isn’t real when there’s people around. When they laugh and talk like everything’s okay, it must mean everything is okay. Denki nods.
They fall asleep, and when Denki wakes up to his little brother a meter away, Katsuki’s embrace is warm and comforting. Denki apologizes, later, for having tried to get away from everyone and especially Katsuki and Katsuki hold his hand again and apologize too for not trying harder to see what was wrong earlier.
This is super long ! I might do a second part where they explain why it started and how it stops and stuff. Katsuki can and Will do everything to protect his friends.

Maybe we can get some Katsuki confronting Denki's parents? Or him finding out when there's yelling on Denki's side during an online class?
I’m not good at writing confrontation so I'll go with the second one !
So, there’s online classes for a reason or another. It’s annoying, and hard to deal with for... a lot of people. Including Denki. He already has a hard time in most classes in general, and it’s even more difficult now. School meant most of the day was spent with friends, and away from his parents.
He doesn’t have the energy to work. And when he does, there’s always something else he has to do -laundry, taking care of his siblings, getting groceries. His parents don’t let him breath. Everything his worse than before.
He misses most online classes. He says it’s a bad internet connection, and his friends send him what they wrote about that day. It... kinds of help.
That day, his parents had gone somewhere. The youngest of his siblings where sleeping, and he had a class with Aizawa. He sat at his desk, bedroom door open -that was the rule, whether his parents where here or not- blank pages and pen ready.
It started alright. He had a hard time understanding the subject, seeing he hadn’t been here for the other classes, but he wrote down what he could. He was happy to see his friends, even if they couldn’t talk like they usually did at school.
He was thirty minutes into the class when his parents got home. Of course, they immediately started yelling about things he hadn’t done yet. He did tell them about his class, but of course, they didn’t care.
He muted his mic.
He heard a loud bang, and his mom approached his room, anger painted everywhere on her face.
That time, he stopped his camera. He didn’t dare start it again after she went, afraid it would pick on the red of his cheek and the bruises on his wrists.
Katsuki had been a bit worried about his friends. He knew school wasn’t always easy for them, and Denki kept missing classes. Katsuki knew sending the written lessons wasn’t enough. When he had asked if Denki wanted a study session, he had said no. Katsuki... never proposed himself. It was always others asking, and he didn’t know how to take Denki rejecting it -him. His other friends had shared his concern. The ‘bad connection’ excuse seemed... strange. But well, Katsuki didn’t know everything about Denki’s life.
Then they had that online class with Aizawa. Katsuki kept finding his eyes being drawn to Denki. He looked normal, if a little lost.
Half an hour later, he saw him tense on his screen. It didn’t take more than a few seconds for the muffled sounds of yelling in the background to be heard. Denki looked somewhere of the screen and muted his mic. He kept glancing on the side, sometimes looking like he was talking to something. Katsuki was focused on him, his pen forming a stain on his paper where he had stopped writing. Denki’s screen shook a bit, and he looked away before turning his camera off in a hurry.
He looked scared.
Next time they had an online class where Denki was present, his mic was muted from the start. Katsuki still saw him flinch, again and again. There was something wrong, that was sure. He didn’t know what exactly, but he had enough of an idea to shoot his friend a text.
It was short, like usual. Asking what was going on at home.
Of course, Denki denied anything happening at first. Katsuki wrote what he saw an heard, and when Denki kept saying it was nothing, he called him.
Calling was easier than texting.
Denki took a long time to pick up. When he did, his ‘ hello ? was strangled. Katsuki asked again.
“Tell me what’s going on.”
“I’m telling you, everything’s alright.”
“... are you safe ?”
“What ?”
“Are you safe, at home. Do you have enough food, a place to sleep, time to work, a place to be alone ? ”
“I... I mean, the house is small, so I don’t really have a lot of personal space, haha. It’s okay though.”
It was an awkward laugh, a vain attempt at making things lighter.
“You should have. You should have... all of that.”
“I do.”
“Too fast. I know you’re lying.”
Katsuki sighed, putting a hand on his eyes. He was not good at comforting people or at offering help.
“Are you angry ?”
“What ? No, what the fuck. I’m not angry, I’m...”
“... worried ?”
“... whatever. If things are bad, you have to do something.”
“And what can I do, uh ?”
“I’ll send you some... phone numbers. Of people who can help.”
It was silent on the line for a while, and Katsuki knew already what Denki was going to say.
“Even if you give it to me I won’t-”
“I know. Fuck I- You’re not on your own, okay ? You have m- us, Raccoon Eyes, Shitty Hair and Tape Guy. You have them.”
“But you can’t do anything.”
“Yeah. But if you need to... talk or I don’t know, you can... you can call me. I don’t care what time it is. I don’t sleep a lot anyway.”
“... Okay. Okay, yeah, you’re right, thank you. I-”
“When we’re done. When we go back to classes, you’re coming with me to see Aizawa.”
“Katsuki...”
“I don’t care. You’re coming with me.”
In the end, Denki agrees. Katsuki knows he’ll probably try to forget about that promise. He doesn’t care. He’ll be here to remind him.
He doesn’t sleep well that night. He’s angry at Denki’s parents. He yells at them in his head. He doesn’t how bad things are, but he hopes it isn’t too terrible. His palms are hot with explosion he has to keep in.
The next time he sees Denki, through a screen, he sees him flinch again. That time, he looks at the camera, and Katsuki feels like he’s looking at him.
Uh that was a little difficult to write, and I'm not satisfied with it but I can’t do better meh -the confrontation did happen, just in Katsuki’s head haha
Also keeping a constant tense is harder than it looks. And as always, we end on an hopeful note because I can’t just write pure angst. Things have to get better

If you're still doing HCs, can we get some BakuKami with Denki not being able to sleep because of nightmares, so he goes to Katsiki's room to cuddle with him? (Like, before they were together. I'd like to think Denki is really set on physical affection)
Yep ! And I agree, Denki is totally a cuddler. We all know Katsuki isn’t one for physical affection, but he’d be Denki’s second fav person to hug after Mina. Sero and Eijiro are good too, but not as comfortable. He knows Katsuki doesn’t sleep well. He has a lot of PTSD that cause a lot of nightmares, or plain insomnia.
When Denki wakes up after a nightmare that might be more of a memory he’s still trying to forget, and he feels alone and scared, there’s nothing he wants more than to be hugged. Just to be grounded, feel like he’s protected. He doesn’t want to disturb those of his friends who still sleep.
He gets up once he feel like he can breath a bit better, and quietly comes out of his room, his pillow hugged so tight his arms are shaking a bit. The silence is oppressing, even more so with the only sounds being his breath and his feet on the floor. He takes the elevator -because there’s light and music- to the next floor.
When he arrives in front of Katsuki’s door, he’s hesitant. He knows Katsuki cares about them all, in his own way, but Denki has never sought him out for comfort before. Katsuki comes to him sometimes, when he’s angry or stressed, and they play video games together for a few hours. They don’t talk about anything other than the game. Denki knows that’s why Katsuki comes to him.
He takes a deep breath and knock, bringing his arm up with difficulty. There’s a few seconds of nothing, and Denki wonders if Katsuki was sleeping or if he doesn’t want to answer. He doesn’t know what he’ll do if he gets ignored. It’s almost physically painful, how much he wants, needs to be held.
Then there’s sounds on the other side of the door and Katsuki opens it, a tired expression on his face. He takes one look at Denki and opens the door a tad more before turning in his heels and sitting on his bed again. Denki comes in, close the door and sit next to him.
“What is it ?”
He’s whispering. It’s strange, with how used Denki is to his yelling voice.
“I... had a nightmare. Sorry, I knew the others had more chances of being asleep.”
Katsuki doesn’t answer, but he leans back against the wall and closes his eyes. Denki looks at him for a few seconds, watches how the moon light coming through the open curtains play with Katsuki’s hair. It soften his face, or maybe it’s just the hour that does that. His heart almost miss a beat, and he lets his body fall against the other slowly.
Katsuki tenses up, but his eyes stay closed and he let Denki snuggle closer. When he starts crying again, there’s an hesitant arm setting on his shoulders, and Denki let his pillow go to hug a warmer body. Katsuki’s still tense, but he follows the other’s lead and they slowly lay down on his bed. They’re hugging, and Denki’s mind is full of warm hands against his back and sugary breath on his face.
They stay like that for a long time. Neither fall asleep, but they keep close even after Denki’s tears have dried. When the first ray of the sun fall on their tired faces, they move away from each other. Denki gets up, take his pillow from the floor and look at his friend.
He nods and smile, and Katsuki nods back.
They don’t talk about it for a long time. Denki keeps coming, and he falls asleep on the bed a few times. Katsuki never kicks him out until morning. Video game sessions get longer, until both mix together and they end up hugging, the controllers abandoned on the floor. When they start to want to hold hands and their eyes start lingering a bit too long on the other, and when people start to notice a bit too, they talk about it.
All of those head canons are just little parts of a fan fiction aren’t they ? I’m having fun and I'm glad you like them, please keep sending me stuff !

Okay but, what if Denki is all smiles and happiness because he knows that his negative emotions can cause horrific storms. And once, something happens, and he's filled with such rage and sorrow, and his quirk is going so out of control that even Aizawa can't stop it, and he accidentally causes a storm that almost destroys UA and kills everyone in it, and after ends up in a year long coma. He feels super guilty when he wakes up tho and it takes a while to get him to calm down.
2/2 : And let's be real, his parents are probably what caused the snap. (I don't want anyone to die X))
This is so sad 😭😭 that’s the kind of story I would think about in the shower for three days straight lmao
No death but warning for suicidal thoughts and panic attacks
It happens in their second year. It’s terrifying, traumatic, and the only thing the news talks about for months. No one’s really sure what happened, what caused Denki to snap and no one knows why Aizawa wasn’t enough to stop him -it slowed things down, but the ground was already brunt from lightning everywhere and their body hurt from the electricity running through them.
Then Denki passes out and everything stops. Well, there’s still electricity in the hair but now they can move again. People stay still for a while before someone calls the hospital.
They have entire uniforms when they pick Denki up, because they don’t know what could happen if they touched him unprotected. He has lightning scars all along his body and his cheek is scratched from when he fell down.
Apart from that, the dommage is internal. The doctors save his organs but his brain is slow, too slow. His heart beats slowly, too, and the diagnosis is deep coma. They have no way of knowing the extent of his injuries until he wakes up.
He doesn’t, for a year.
The others go back to class. They’re all alive, all mostly healthy -those who were the closest have had it the worse, but even more them most of the pain comes from trauma. There’s mandatory counselling for everyone that was there that day, teachers and students and school staff. It’s needed.
Some people don’t talk about Denki at all. Some people do the contrary, they y’all about all the good things he did and how he didn’t do it on purpose.
At the end of his first year of coma, not a lot of people come to visit him. When he wakes up, the room is dark. He remembers far away voices and scream, remember his whole body burning and the deep, deep pain and sorrow and anger in his stomach.
When the doctors come to check on him, he’s sleeping. Not in the coma anymore, actually, just sleeping. They force him to wake up. He’s on quirk supressent - he’s been for a year. He has difficulties talking and writing, and he seems to have a constant veil on his eyes, everything just blurry enough to be uncomfortable.
The news of his wake spreads like wildfire. He tries to remember, and with the days he does. He’s nothing but guilt, and fear, and he finds himself wishing he had died that day when the night is at its darkest.
The first night, he can’t stop thinking that people might have actually died and he doesn’t even know. His panic attack lasts hours, until a nurse comes in and helps him through it. He doesn’t look at anyone in the eye.
Aizawa comes in a week after he woke up. It’s the first person to visit. He sits in the chair next to the bed and Denki resolutely keeps his eyes focused on the outside, clenching his jaw so the tears don’t fall. He needs to know if people have been hurt, or killed, or- but he can’t, he can’t speak because his throat is dry and his words sluggish when he tries to sort them out into a sentence.
« Hello, Kaminari. »
He stops breathing all together until a cough makes his way out of his lugns.
« The doctors told me you had difficulties speaking, so I won’t force you to. I just wanted to see how you were doing. »
At that, Denki looks at him. How does he think he’s doing ? His guilt drown everything else, it drowns hunger and tiredness and happy thoughts.
He breaths in, once, twice, closes his eyes and force the words out of his mouth.
« Are... »
Complete sentences are not possible. He can’t do it.
« Dead ? Hur- hurt ? »
He hopes it’s enough. Aizawa leans in suddenly, and looks right into Denki’s eyes.
« No one died, and no has been permanently hurt. They’re all okay. Most of them came back to school. »
Most of them.
« Kaminari. Whatever happened that day, we know it didn’t come from nowhere. We investigated. Your parents have lost custody of you, and they’re both in prison. They won’t hurt you anymore. »
That time, he can’t stop himself from crying. Ugly tears roll onto his cheeks and painful sobs come out of his throat. He didn’t know how much the idea of going back to his parents was terrifying him. They hadn’t come to see him, but after what happened...
Aizawa tells him, after he asks, what exactly happened that day. He doesn’t remember the exact thing that threw him off- he just remembers the feeling swirling in his stomach at the news, and running outside for- for what ?
The first person after Aizawa who comes see him is Katsuki. He sits close to the bed, and they stay silent for an hour before he speaks up.
« Are you going to come back ? »
Come back to class, he probably means. How could he ? After what he has done ? He isn’t physically capable of doing that, anyway, not after a year stuck in a bed. He can’t write and can’t speak either, so it isn’t even a possibility. He shakes his head no, and Katsuki doesn’t say anything.
When the nurse comes in to tell them visiting hours are finished, Katsuki gets up slowly. Denki and him look at each other for a while before Katsuki takes his hand, slowly. He intertwines their fingers, and say,
« We miss you, dumbass. »
The only thing Denki can say is sorry, and Katsuki nods, once, before leaving.
After that, more people starts to come see him. Not all of his classmates, of course- he doesn’t think he’d be able to, if he was in their place.
But his friends come see him, and he can see how they’ve grown in that year. They talk to each other more than to him, and Sero flinches back when Denki moves around, but they come anyway. It eases the guilt in his stomach just a bit.
Denki doesnt become a hero. Once he can walk and talk properly again, he fly to another country where less people know him. He works at a coffe shop and go see someone who can help him relearn his to use and appreciate his quirk two times a week. He calls his friends when he can, follow Japan’s news. He only comes back for funerals of friends, and even then he stay hidden as much as he can. He feels guilty for a long, long time.
Oof that’s it ! This was kinda hard to write if I’m honest. You get Bakukami crumbs because of course. The closest to him was Ochako, and she really doesn’t want to see him. Also the news that started it is like, his parents having a baby 🤔 ? And like. No. They can’t take care of a child, they can’t do it, and Denki knows he’ll be the one to raise them. He won’t be able to be a hero of focus in class if he has to take care of a baby and he can’t imagine what his parents would do to them. Well that’s my idea at least
Also ! Now they know how strong his quirk can be and they also know Aizawa can’t stop every quirk if they’re too strong :) so that’s important knowledge

Imagine Bakugo taking Denki on a hike (like an easy, beginner one) because he knows nature calms him and it may help Denki too.
YES let them share things that help with each other !
I’ll follow with the ‘Katsuki got new hiking equipment for his birthday from his friends’. Usually, he goes hiking with Kirishima. They can do harder things, go higher, for a longer time, and they don’t really talk (which is good, because Katsuki doesn’t want to talk when he hikes). But now that he, officially, has a boyfriend, he wants to share this with him too. Because it’s relaxing to him, and hiking has been a big part of his life for a long time.
He hikes when he’s stressed, or angry, when his parents are too much, when he feels like other people are too much, when he doesn’t know who he is anymore. It’s the sweet exhaustion and the satisfaction that comes with making an effort and doing more than last time (although, for that, getting better isn’t as important to him). It’s being alone, with nothing but his heart in his chest, and the wind in his hair. Sometimes it rains, sometimes the floor is wet with snow, and sometimes it’s too hot and his water bottles are warm. When he gets to the top though, it’s the best. When he sits and listen, the ugly feelings calm down and he focuses on himself. He’s been hiking for years. He doesn’t have a lot of non-violent outlet, and so he cherish this. The little mountain is barely an hour from his house. He’s been going here since he was 8.
So he wants to take Denki with him. He knows it’ll need to be an easy path, one of the first he did. Denki’s happy to do something with him, but the perspectives of hiking in itself isn’t really something he likes. He prefers to stay in the city, to see people, and he’s never liked exercising that much. He’s been doing Hero training for a long time now, so of course he has a better stamina than before UA but still, it isn’t his thing. They plan it a long time in advance. They go during the holidays. Aizawa and Denki’s house isn’t far from Katsuki’s, so they meet early in the morning. It’s cold outside, and Katsuki explain the path they’ll take, how long it should be, and what’s the purpose of this or that piece of equipment.
They’re at the foot of the little mountain by 9. Way too early for Denki, but Katsuki’s up and ready. He’s used to it, after all. They walk next to each other when they can. Denki talks, a lot, and it isn’t so bad because their walk is slow. His silence when they come across an harsher rise is almost disturbing. At 11, they’re at the end of their path. The space is clear, and they sit on rocks made for that. They aren’t very high, but the city spreads below them, loud and alive. It’s such a contrast with where they are, between threes and animals.
They take in the view. Denki looks at the city and Katsuki looks at Denki, because he’s seen the city a hundred time and a hundred ways but it’s the first time he sees Denki like this. Smiling, eyes bright and amazed, a bit sweaty, clearly tired but beautiful nonetheless. They hold hand and it feels like they’re at the top of the world.
They eat here before going back down. This time, they see other people, going up. They get down quickly, and once they’re back at home it almost seems like it was a dream. In the comfort of the couch, with the heater on, the nature they where in an hour ago seems so far away. It wasn’t that relaxing for Denki. Katsuki tells him it’s because he talked too much and they playfully bicker about it. Well. It’s isn’t for him. That’s okay, though. Katsuki will keep hiking, alone or with Eijirō, and maybe one day they’ll do it together, the three of them. There’s other things that helps. Cooking and playing video games, cuddling, seeing people or doing the contrary. They have different ways to relax, and it’s okay.
Uhh I want to write about Katsuki playing video games with Denki like how it’s started and why it helps and stuff

The series Witcher. With the black eyes when things go down and everything.
Thanks for clarifying ! So I’ve watched the series on Netflix, yeah, but I actually don’t remember a lot so I’ll just. Look up how exactly Witchers work lmao
Original ask : Okay, so, imagine Witcher! Denki. Who's trying to hide that from his angry pomeranian boyfriend.
Okay so Denki has been alive for... a long time, already, when he meet Katsuki. He’s getting tired of hunting monsters and tired of the loneliness that inevitably comes with the type of life he’s living. He’s been thinking about settling down somewhere small and nice, where people would know him as something else than a Witcher, where there would be little to no monsters to slay -he knows they’re monsters, knows they’re horrible but, murder is murder, and he’s starting to hate it more and more.
And so Denki buys commoner clothes and hides his weapons in a bag he carries with him and he travels to far away places, trying to fill the loneliness in him. And the he meets Katsuki. Katsuki works in a little tavern/hotel. He’s grumpy and not that polite but he’s also really beautiful and that’s the first thing Denki notices about him. He flirts, and Katsuki gives him death glares but it makes Denki wants to know him more, somehow, and so he stays a few days.
Katsuki’s curious about him. There isn’t a lot of outsiders who come here, but when he asks Denki always has something new, clearly fake, to say. He insists on complimenting Katsuki and it’s a bit annoying but also, it’s been a long time since anyone has looked at him that way.
‘A few days’ become a month and a month becomes two, etc etc, and Denki stays. When he doesn’t have any more money to rant a room, Katsuki offers his home. They start dating half a year after Denki first put his foot down on the village.
Katsuki knows something’s up with Denki. He’s still secretive about his past -and, Katsuki gets it, no everyone has a great life but there’s something that feels very important that stays hidden here. Katsuki notices the numerous scars, of course, but he doesn’t ask more than once. It’s part of the untouchable past. He doesn’t tell Denki everything, either. It doesn’t keep him from wondering.
This isn’t all there is. Sometimes, Denki hits him playfully and it hurts, or he throws something and it goes too fast, crashes down too hard. He walks too easily in the dark, goes too quiet when someone talks about monsters around him, hides the bag Katsuki saw him with on the first day they met too well.
It’s starting to get... a little heavy. There’s good things about their relationship, of course, so many good things. Denki’s kind and funny and supportive, and he makes Katsuki better. Katsuki likes to think he makes Denki better, too, if they way nightmares don’t show up as often as they used to is anything to go by.
He has the answers to all of his questions in a very unfortunate way. Their village is small and far away enough from every other kind of civilisation not to have to deal with monsters of any kind too often. Pretty much never, actually, until something starts to lurk in the dark on the streets and starts clicking on windows and scaring children.
On the night of the day they learnt the news -they both work at the tavern, now- Denki gets up. Katsuki has always been a light sleeper, but he tends to falls back asleep as soon as Denki comes back. So he waits, and waits, and Denki doesn’t come back. Katsuki sits up, slowly, looks around and finds nothing but darkness and the vague familiar forms of the furniture in the room. He gets up and out of the bedroom as quietly as he can. On the kitchen’s table, the bag is open. Katsuki looks around and calls quietly, but Denki doesn’t answer.
Fear takes place in his stomach, deep fear, because what the fuck ? Where he is ? Why did he go there ? He puts his hand in the bag, feel around for a while until his fingers find cold metal. He takes the object out and lights a candle to see better.
It’s a Witcher’s medallion.
Suddenly, everything makes a lot more sense. Katsuki thinks back to all the strange things Denki has done, how good he is at knowing which meat is cooking, the strange color of his eyes he told him was just a thing running in his family, the secrets and the mysterious bag...
He sits at the table for a long time, waiting, anger and fear dancing in his stomach. The candle dies out, drips on the wood, and he stays here on the chair, the medallion hurting his fists where they’re tightly closed around it. When he hears the door open carefully, he wonders for a second if Denki already knows he’s here. If he can hear him, or smell him, or sense him in any way. He has his answer when his boyfriend comes in with his eyes low and bloody swords at his sides for Katsuki to see.
Katsuki wants to scream, to be angry and worried and hurt, but he breaths deeply and gets up. Denki tenses, but still doesn’t look at him until there’s a wet cloak dabbing his cheek lightly.
Everything was going so well. He was hiding it good, learnt to control his strength and learnt what was normal and what wasn’t by observing Katsuki and other people. But something in the furrowed brows and the clenched jaw of his lover makes him think it’s not as unexpected and he thought.
Katsuki takes the swords of his hands, tsk at their heavyness and put them in a corner on the floor. He hugs Denki, after that, tight.
« You’re such an idiot. I always knew something was up, but you... you- »
« I’m sorry. »
And they hug for a little longer, and when they part Katsuki slaps him -it doesn’t hurt in the slightest, of course- and Denki knows it’s not nearly enough and that Katsuki will be angry for a long time still, but for now he has his hand in his and he’s dragging him to their bedroom.
They decide to sleep, because the night has been exhausting enough already like that but when morning comes, they’ll sit at the table and Denki will talk for hours and explain everything. It’ll be difficult for a while, until it gets easier and Katsuki decides it’s been long enough to forgive and let himself understand why Denki kept such a big part of him a secret.
That was super fun to write !! I really hope you like it as much as I liked doing it ^^

Hey, can we get some BakuKami with Bakugo taking care of a sick Denki? I imagine his parents wouldn't let him rest up much so he just pushes himself through.
You can !
If it’s before the dorms, I think Katsuki would try to give him little attentions like making sure he drinks after training or helping him carry his bags and stuff if he’s too tired. He would also angrily tell him to take care of himself and all their friends would definitely pay attention to him and ask if they can help (they’re a big bunch of worried softies). Katsuki would notice first, because he’s always watching him and paying attention to him, and he knows Denki often acts like he’s okay even if he isn’t. He dislikes it but he understands why he does that, and doesn’t resent him for that. He tells him sometimes that he can be more open with them about being sick or tired etc but he doesn’t bring it up that much -after all, even if he’s better with time, he also have a hard time opening up to others, although not for the same reasons.
So he notices it first. He has a water bottle in his bag and some painkillers and stuff just in case Recovery Girl isn’t here. He knows it’s not allowed but he doesn’t give a fuck. He doesn’t yell as much and it’s less loud, because he knows it can give Denki headaches if there’s loud stuff around him for the whole day.
If they had the dorm, it would be more or less the same. Pay a lot of attention to him, make sure he eats and drink and take a reasonable amount of meds if needed. I feel like a sick Denki, because he’d act like he’s okay, would isolate himself just a little bit and feel kind of lonely, so Katsuki makes sure to touch him more. Touch his hands, his shoulders, lean closer to him when they’re sitting next to each other... Small, barely noticeable changes that make Denki’s heart flutter with affection and thankfulness. He pays extra attention to his notes so they’re readable. He uses highlighters so it’s easier to read -he has a code of what he highlights in which colors and it helps with understanding and finding information. Once Denki feels better, they go through the notes together so they’re sure Denki got everything.
I feel like he would do very ‘traditional’ Japanese stuff you see in anime, like make him drink soup and buy cold patches and stuff. He definitely makes easy to eat food, and sends him to bed early. A sick Denki is a tired Denki anyway, and he’s fallen asleep on Katsuki more than once after a school day where he didn’t feel good. It usually only lasts one or two days if they’re in the dorms, and a closer to a week or more if he gets home. He can’t relax as much, and doesn’t have time to lay down when his head hurts or to take meds when he needs to if he’s at home.
i have to tell you, I almost always write Denki as non-binary and I mostly use they/them for him so every time I write ‘he’ when referring to him it feels a bit weird haha

Hey, so, I'm in a bad situation right now and your hcs always cheer me up. Could we get some Bakugo trying to help Denki through panic attacks or sensory overloads or such?
Yes ! I’m sorry you’re in a bad place. Remember that you’re loved, and things WILL be okay eventually. I love you, I’m here
I haven’t had panic attacks or sensory overloads personally but I have friends who do, so I hope I’ll do alright
The day had started badly. When Denki woke up, he knew the day would be hard to get through. Everything felt just a little too much.
He went down to get breakfast and sighed in relief when he noticed the common room was still pretty empty. He ate his breakfast slowly, focusing on his breath. They had an exam today. Nothing too important, but it was his worse subject and he hadn’t found the energy to work or understand what it was about. He tried not to think about it.
Class was more difficult. There were a lot of sounds, people talking around him, the birds outside the windows and the students down the hall. Pen on paper, sighs and coughs, feet taping the floor repeatedly. It took all the place in his brain, and he wished he had music to drown everything.
His exam was in front of him, too bright white page on the beige of his desk, and he felt his breath come short. He had told the others it wasn’t a good day but that he would be okay- now he wasn't so sure about it.
He couldn’t do this. He put his head in his arms, on his desk, eyes closed and trying to focus on anything else but the hundred sounds and smell around him. He was going to fail this exam because he couldn’t focus and it was-
He bolted out of his chair, running through the door with the others’ surprised shout behind him. He turned the corner, finding a quiet, dark and small place he had noticed a few day ago. He sat down, trying to slow his heart beating in his ears, tears already in the corner of his eyes.
Katsuki ran after him. An “I got him !” stopped the teacher and worried friends from following, hopefully. He knew Denki hadn't been well. When he saw him putting his head in his arms, Katsuki had put his pen down, watching the other boy carefully. It wasn’t the first time Denki had panic attacks, far from here. Katsuki had them too, although it was mostly after nightmares woke him up that they happened. Denki had been here for him in these moments. They had talked about it a bit, what could help, what to do, what not to do. Katsuki was glad they did when he found Denki in a corner, not too far from the class and the worried whispers that wen thought the closed door.
He was curled on himself, his hands on his ears and his eyes closed. Katsuki sat next to him and waited a bit until he opened his eyes.
Katsuki talked, voice as low and reassuring as he could. At the same time, he signed his question.
“Can you see me ?”
Denki looked at him and blinked once. He could see him.
“Can you see me good ?”
Two blinks this time. With the tears streaming down his face, his vision must have been blurry. The lack of air couldn't help. Katsuki made sure to move his hands more slowly and to talk as distinctly as he could.
“Can you hear me ?”
One blink, and Denki lowered his hands a bit.
“Okay. Good.”
Katsuki smiled a little, nodding once.
“Focus on my breathing.”
Katsuki started counting, like he had done time and time again, and Denki’s breath slowly went to a more normal rhythm. When he stopped crying and put his hands on his lap, Katsuki smiled once more.
“Are you verbal ?”
Denki stayed silent a little longer before letting a weak ‘yes’ out. His voice was rough from the coughing and frantic breathing.
“Good. You’re- you’re doing good. Can I touch you ?”
Denki nodded, slowly, and Katsuki put his hand on his knee. The contact was grounding and Katsuki knew Denki would want cuddles when he felt better. He liked to be held by his friends, it felt safe in a way few other things did.
“Do you want to go to the infirmary or back to class ?”
About half an hour to forty-five minutes had passed already.
“Can we.. stay here a bit longer ? I don’t need to see Recovery Girl, but I'm exhausted now.”
“Okay. Dorm it is. I’ll talk to the teacher.”
“Sorry for making you miss the exam...”
Katsuki’s hand tightened around his knee and he was serious when he said :
“I don’t care. You’ve... helped, before. I’ll help too if I can. I don’t give a fuck about one little test. I can always retake it or do more exercises to compensate.”
Denki smiled, and started getting up. Katsuki followed him and they walked to class, slowly. Their hands kept brushing on their walk. Once there, Katsuki knocked, letting a fidgeting Denki behind him to go talk to the teacher.
Denki was dismissed for the day. When everyone came back from school, they immediately went to see him. He was feeling better. The kids sat on his bed or the floor, and this time their touch and quiet talk were comforting more than anything else.
I hope thats’ alright. It’s based on my experience with my friend, and stuff I've read could help. I can write how Denki helps Katsuki with his panic attacks too, it would be different. The friend I help with his PA is autistic and it might change the reaction to certain things ? I don’t know I hope that’s okay.
I hope you’ll be okay, too. I know you will. This is a hard time we’re living through for sure.

Good point about Bakugo's place. What if Aizawa ended up taking him in, and they only told Bakugo, and then when Aizawa has missions or school duties or something, Bakugo sometimes comes over?
Uhm that turned into a Aizawa/Hizashi thing with side or Bakukami oops
Ooh that’s good that’s good ! What is Aizawa lives with present Mic because uhm husband and, obviously, Denki knows. He knew from the start about these two because he’s got an eye for who likes who/who’s going out with who. But Katsuki doesn’t know, and most of the time when he comes over neither of the adults are here. Until one day he sleeps over, because Denki has been having a hard time with nightmares and he doesn’t want to sleep alone, but also he can’t ask to sleep with his teachers, that’s SO embarrassing.
So Katsuki sleeps over, and he’s midly uncomfortable because it’s Aizawa’s house but, sleeping with someone apparently also helps him. It’s mostly good after they wake up because of a nightmare, because there’s always a little panic and a wondering where you are, so having someone else next to you helps a lot. When they get up in the morning Hizashi’s drinking his coffee in the kitchen like he always does and Katsuki just ??? Doesn’t understand ? But Denki acts like everythings normal so Katsuki doesn’t say anything. It’s only when Denki walks him to the door that he asks what’s going on, and Denki laugh for a good 15 minutes at Katsuki’s surprised face when he tells him what he thought was obvious.
Because both boys have a bit of a hard time knowing what to do with their emotions, the first time Denki asks Katsuki to come over it’s for homework. They have a study session, just the two of them, and then Katsuki “accidentally” leaves a notebook there and they go back and forth like two idiots. Okay, it’s mostly Katsuki, who knows how to help Denki calm down after a panic attack but doesn’t know how to say “hey, you’re kind of my best friend and I want to hang out with you”.
They stop giving excuses at some point, and it’s a silent agreement that Katsuki spend every Friday night in the house, when Aizawa is on patrol duty.
I’m liking that fluff I think I’m going to write some cute confession after that

To compensate for all the angst, how about Baku teaching Kami how to bake or something, to give him a way to forget about the trauma his parents caused him?
Oh yes ! We’ll say they’re boyfriends (I can do a non boyfriend version who’s just going to be the exact same thing but more platonic)
I think after they start sleeping together (because they both sleep better when the other’s around), they quickly become accustomed to nightmares waking them up. For Katsuki, he usually goes back to sleep after a few hours, but it’s harder for Denki.
Katsuki’s lost on what to do, until one day they’re both to pent up to try to fall back sleep. It’s something like three in the mornings, and Denki’s quirk won’t settle down, ready for a blow that won’t come. It’s stressing Katsuki out, so he sweats, and he almost makes accidental explosion. Obvisouly, they can’t just stay here, in bed. It isn’t doing them any good.
And then Katsuki thinks about how cooking helps his nerve, how the repetitive, constant movements he knows by heart help his shoulders relax and his teeth stop gritting. He sits up, run a hand trough Denki’s hair, and asks him if he wants to come downstairs. He agrees, because a change of scene might help.
They can’t really hold hands, what with both of their quirks acting up. They get downstairs, and Katsuki sorts the ingredients of Denki’s favorite dessert out. He bakes, explaining everything he does as he goes, and the electric boy relaxes. Katsuki’s voice is low in the silence and soothing, and they don’t talk much while it’s in the oven but they can finally hold hand and press tight against each other. Once it’s done, they eat it, like that, way too early in the morning, while the pie is still too hot to be perfect.
It happens a few times again, until one night Denki asks if he can help. He’s hesitant because he’s never really cooked or baked anything, but Katsuki’s a good teacher. He doesn’t yell or get angry. He sighs, but he also hold Kami’s hand to mix the dough better, and he walks him through all the stages. When he’s done, Denki’s proud like he hasn’t been in a long time, feeling like he did something himself, for himself. It isn’t perfect, but it’s good.
He takes a liking to cooking. The kitchen is warm, filled with happy memories, and there’s packets of instant noddles in the fridge but it’s not the only thing he’s allowed to eat anymore. He start helping Satou when he’s more confident in his skills, and he answers the questions of his sudden interest with a shrug.
He goes downstairs by himself sometimes, if he didn’t wake Katsuki up with nightmares. In the morning, there’s new food in the fridge.
Katsuki is terribly proud of him.

Could you do some headcanons about BakuKami where Bakugo finds out Denki has abusive parents and scars all over his body from both them and his quirk, but covers it with make-up?
Oooh that’s angsty I like that (this is also super long oops)
I guess Denki is pretty good at acting like he’s okay when he isn’t. He’s so happy-go-lucky, cheering people up, and no once can suspect what he really feels like. The dorms are a blessing, because he can get away from his parents, but at the same time... More time around people means more chances to get caught. Usually, we he got hurt by his quirk -I guess most of his scars could be internal, but I hc that he has Lichtenberg scars in a lot of places- he could get home quick and try to take care of it, before his parents got there. Now in the dorms, people expect him to spend time with his friends, so it’s harder to escape to tend to his wounds. In result they heal very slowly, and hurt more. He’s used to it, though.
He has a scar along his spine, and it goes high into his neck. His hair is long enough to cover it, and then there’s traces of his parent’s abuse all over his back, his stomach, and every place you can easily hide. Those he can’t hide under clothes, he hides under makeup. Bruises, cuts, he’s so used to covering them up that he doesn’t even take that much time anymore. He carries concealer and foundation with him so he can touch it up during the day. No one suspects anything.
It’s better that way.
It’s Monday, and they had hero training. It had been difficult, even more so than usual, because his parents weren’t kind during the weekend. He ends up on the ground, his whole body screaming in pain, and he can feel his mind getting fuzzy and the world getting blurry, signs that he’s going to fall into overpower mode soon (I will NOT call that his dumb mode). He hears voices around him, feels like he’s being carried, and he recognizes his boyfriend’s sugary scent. It isn’t the first time he had to carry him to the infirmary, and it won’t be the last.
When they get here, everything still hurts. They cuts reopened, the bruises hurt, and he feels like he can’t breath -Maybe one of his parents broke one of his ribs, he can’t be sure. He feels hands taking his jacket off, and when they reach for his shirt he tries to protest. He sends his hands flying, hitting something -someone ?- in the process. They can’t see the bandages, the old and new scars littering his body. They can’t.
But he’s so tired, and he can’t breath properly, and he can’t see, and maybe he’s crying, he’s not sure. He gives up, let the hands take his shirt off, and the ringing in his ears barely let him hear the strangled gasp. There’s no movement for a while, then there’s strong, calloused hands holding his tightly and he feels safe, despite everything. Even if his secret is out, Katsuki’s here beside him, and he put their foreheads together and whisper things Denki can’t really hear. It sounds like apologies and anger, mixed with soft “it’s gonna be okay” and “I’m here, we’re here”. Recovery Girl kisses him, and he falls into sleep like he’s done hundred of times before.
When he wakes up, he hesitantly tell Recovery Girl what’s going on. She has a gentle aura, and doesn’t comment on the way he stutters on words. She asks a few questions, never letting any kind of judgments flow in her voice. She lets him stops sometimes, when he can’t word things properly, when the words get stuck this throat. When they’re done, she tells him she has to tell Aizawa-sensei. She also tells him his friends are outside the door, and she let him dress in clothes someone must have brought in when he was asleep. He gets out, and they hug him, and Katsuki’s hand is warm in his. Their hands stay together when Denki tells him everything with hesitant whispers later into the night, and they’re together when they go to Aizawa’s office, and they stay together through nightmares and the panic attacks that results from them.
He doesn’t tell everything to his other friends- they don’t need to know. Of course, they know there’s a problem after the trials and the lost of custody, but they don’t ask and they just hug him and he’s not quite okay, but he’s never been better.
Really started as a normal spitting facts hc and it turned into a mini fanfic skdbvdsdjgzuh sorry -also sorry if some sentences are weird, English still isn’t my first language
