@macluvsyou with @ckfightlife ・・・ —— yesterday was a terrible day emotionally for me. I questioned my worth & questioned if people cared. which is normal, everyone goes through this. but I almost let it win, which is so unhealthy. then I read something: “remember what gives you life. remember what fuels you.” for me, that’s jiu-jitsu. I made a video about how I got my start in jiu-jitsu, but I didn’t share certain things because I was embarrassed of them. & now I feel compelled to share it with you guys🖤 I started jiu-jitsu when I was 22 & my parents got divorced. it was by no means a “clean” divorce & I needed somewhere to put my anger. I thought I could put it on the mats. I thought I could go in, choke a few people and release my anger that way. this caused my anxiety to rise & me to get angrier than I already was. In jiu-jitsu, everyone told me one day it would just “click” & they were freaking right. once I realized I needed to deal with my anger instead of “putting” it somewhere, I slowly started to become a changed person. I am not the angry girl I once was.
