No offense to bitterrose but this is the same Nasu who does what he wants regarding fate. Also people have been making these jokes about him since the early 2000s. It started with Kiara specifically because Nasu made her so overtly horny and sexualized everyone said oh he's scared of women who are confident in themselves and sexually confident in themselves. Also, when you think about when almost every female character in fgo is either shy, meek or introverted maybe the jokes are right.

i mean i feel like "Nasu has an explicit fear of women that permeates every single thing he's written" and "Goetia was a well written villain" are statements that can coexist. It's not binary by any means, nor is FGO's female character roster. But i've learned better than to actually go in detail on how FGO draws a direct correlation between independence in women and original sin.

ANYWAY CAN WE JUST TALK ??? ABOUT THIS?????? we’re finally getting the per-patch lore updates and i just??? hello???

first of all this is definitely implied to be a younger girl who is ruben’s niece, which makes me wonder if she’s in any way connected to the younger girl we see in the reyna vs viper card

it could be a different girl altogether, we don’t know if these are new emails or old emails (most likely old given that fracture is already abandoned) 

also, we don’t know if the little girl (who is highly speculated to be reyna’s little sister) is even alive or just badly wounded/affected 

buuuut either way i have this weird hunch that ruben pontes may be related to reyna in some way (ruben pontes is a very latino-sounding name and if he were reyna and aurora’s uncle the age difference between him and reyna would be understandable, that kinda stuff happens a lot in big families)

there are a lot of plot holes in the thing i pieced together but like . yknow,  we’ll see eventually in the later patches

(another note, there may be a chance that aurora could be a teenager rather than a young kid,,,,, like cmon lmao BitterRose???? that sounds very emo i’ll know one when i see one)

there was definitely a reason riot put this in as a lore update for this patch, i hope someone makes a theory video about this i’d like to see their takes on it

3: What’s your favorite line of narration?

“This was what happiness looked like. A cozy apartment (above ground this time), always warm and bright with sunlight. A kind and caring girlfriend across the breakfast table from her, full to bursting with love. Sarah told herself this was what happiness looked like.”

Considering subtlety and nuance are not my strongest suits, I think the narration in the last couple of scenes turned out alright. How do you say someone is sad without saying they’re sad? I dunno, it’s hard, okay?

10: Why did you choose this pairing for this particular story?

Full credit to @karinta-agogobell-unified and @krystalgoderitch for that one. You can see me awkwardly working through this concept (while trying to get home from the season 5 premiere in New York) in the comments section of this excellent fic.
