truly if you think tlt is positive about or even neutral on christianity (and catholicism specifically) i think you need to go back and reread tbh. because in the very first book we learn that this is a series where two people murder 200 children that were placed in their care because they believe their religion justifies or even compels it. the real-life parallels are almost too on the nose.

#this is a series where the military uses religion as a justification to conquer and literally murder planets and expel their populations!#this is a series where the mc of the 2nd book spends the entire book being groomed and manipulated bc of her faith!#this is a series where the society's version of gender roles are strictly enforced by its religion!#where religion makes the mc of the first book believe that her only value is in self sacrifice!#biting. everyone go read sophelstien's essay.#tlt
