"...Codlightning?" Scrubblotch padded into the den, where the queen had just given birth. She had been expecting out of nowhere, and all of them assumed the kits would be half-Clan.

Codlightning was one of the leader's daughters, the kinder one. Slumberstar had tried to make them fierce, to no avail. Omen was not sleeping here tonight, to keep the nursery clear.

The kits were mewling with an odd amount of distress. Scrubblotch tamped down panic. Maybe she didn't have milk. Cats have had kits at younger than 22 moons, after all.

But Codlightning was cooling.

Panic was now fully sweeping through Scrubblotch. She checked the amount of blood loss. Oh NO. This was too much. "BURNETBREEZE! ANYONE!" She yowled.

Omen came rushing in, freezing at the sight of the new queen's body. "On odds." She whispered. "It's too late, isn't it?"

"Get Burnetbreeze. She needs to say goodbye. Biteberry as well."

Omen nodded, leaving Scrubblotch to curl around the kittens, keeping down the despair.

(Codlightning has died in childbirth. 3 kits have been born: Palmkit, Codkit, and Coconutkit.)

Hi there guys! I’m here with a new post. Sorry for the wait because I’ve been away sick. I’m okay now though. Here is my commission of my biteberry Shadow done by the amazing Shortsnas! I love this so much and I thought I would share it on my blog! Shortsnas thank you so much :)

Chelle pops into the lamia bitty store with her Hanahaki bitties Boss and Beast sitting on her shoulders. “Hi Vex, I heard that you domes times take rescue bitties. I was wondering if there were any dog sized Biteberries looking for a good home? I have a friend that would absolutely treasure one but is a little shy to ask themselves”

*Vex smiles at you and waves, making sure to greet Boss and Beast the Hanahaki bitties as well. “Since adopters showed interest in them, we brought some Yanderetale-type rescue bitties into the shop to help them find homes. If you walk around for a bit, you should see them in no time. They are always looking for some attention.” You glance down and see her petting a Brassberry bitty who is laying on the desk, purring contentedly.

*You begin to wander around the shop. Your shy friend asked about a dog-sized Biteberry, so you’re looking for a larger bitty. He shouldn’t be hard to spot… and he isn’t. A dog-sized Biteberry is walking around the shop, gently headbutting visitors for attention. After being pushed away by one potential adopter, he looks around for the next victim of his affection and sees you.

*You can’t help smiling as he shuffles over and lightly bonks you with his head. Right now he’s adorable, but you know that once someone adopts him, he will become very attached and fiercely protective. You hope your shy friend can handle the little guy. You crouch down and ask him if he’d like to come home to meet your friend. “Threesome?” he asks innocently. Oh boy. You explain that your friend wants to adopt him but is too shy to come in themselves while your Hanahaki bitties splutter in outrage.

*The Biteberry follows you back to the front desk with a little spring in his step. Vex gives him a stern look. “You had better behave yourself,” she warns him, but he just smirks confidently. You begin to wonder if your friend actually wanted a Pure Bite, but this is what they asked for. The Biteberry seems sweet enough if a little bit dirty-minded. You take a deep breath and fill out the paperwork.

The other night I had a dream where I was in a bitty store and almost all of the bitties were sold out except for one very aggressive Biteberry. He growled and snarled at me and I was like "YES. HIM." and the store owner told me "no, you don't want that one." so I totally adopted him anyways. I opened his container and the store owner got real anxious as he tried to bite my finger but I was already in love with him.

Anyways uh the point of this post is that I kinda wanna write a fanfic or a comic abt this experience lmao
