Day 12: Kian Stone’s Makeup (BITB)

Tried to recreate Kian’s red eyeliner using liquid lipstick and sheer willpower! Ended up making me look like I was crying tears of blood by the end of the day, but like. So was Kian probably at some point. Wore it to Catholic Mass, after having one of my top 5 homoerotic tension moments there a couple nights ago (in retrospect, didn’t realize what was happening at the time), as one does. Kian Stone would be proud probably.

See on one hand, Im pretty happy with how the horror in bitb is handled. Its creepy, gory and all around fun. But on the other hand I think the pcs got off too easy. Sometimes I like to think of a bitb where the bugs are more connected to the land and town. Where the cicadas and clicks began to sound like a lullaby their mother would sing. Where the bayou was always a little red-ish and the air always a little heavy and sweet. I like to think that alcohol is scarce because so few of the residents drink it( and now you have to think its its simple preference or...). Im thinking of a bitb where kian and rolan come home to a galloway changed in a huge unexplainable way.

But it still (despite of , or maybe because of it all) feels like home.

Day 17: Blood in the Bayou (BITB)

Something is not right in Galloway.

Look based on the BITB logo! I don’t know if you can see it, but I threw in some yellow too and put on eyeliner to complete the look. The red might look wonky because it is just liquid lipstick again, and it might be a bit too heavy/vibrant to convey the spooky look? In any case, I had fun getting through looks inspired by a bunch of the campaigns characters!

Speaking my truth prime defenders is NOT an anime sorry it is a super hero themed CARTOON on like Nickelodeon or CN which follows the typical modern cartoon processes of starting off with a lighthearted episodic season 1 and continuing with a much darker season 2 and so on. OR alternatively a young justice type show. I also don't really see it as a comic book series since it's just too different to work like that, though that does make more sense than an anime. Anyway The suckening is a CW show à la supernatural and the vampire diaries, bitb is an 2008 'artistic' indie game à la pathologic that takes inspiration from campy 80's horror movies, apotheosis is a YA book series that's popular on tiktok and has 2 or 3 books and i have not seen much of riptide so it's completely fair if this is wrong but riptide is an anime
