Our day began bright and early at 9:30 AM in the Municipality Hall. Between 9:30 and 9:45, we registered and got settled with some refreshing juice and fruits. The representatives from Session III shared their reflections, setting the stage for a packed day. Then Aagya Ma'am, who's also the Program Coordinator at Ujyalo Foundation, took the lead, and we delved deep into the world of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Inclusion: It's when everyone has a fair chance, regardless of things like caste, religion, gender, age, or other factors. No one is left out.

Equity: Making sure everyone gets what they need to move forward, like resources or services.

Equality: Treating everyone the same, giving everyone equal chances and opportunities.

Amuda Ma'am guided us through these concepts with plenty of examples. At around 12 PM, Prachi Ma'am let us know it was lunchtime, and we shared a meal and conversations.

Post-lunch, Prachi Ma'am led a lively energizer activity that got us all pumped up. Then, Aagya Ma'am grouped us in pairs for a Community Mapping activity. It was a chance to learn about each other's communities. We talked about things like ward numbers, castes, professions, religions, education, marriages, decision-making in the community, female representation, and the challenges communities face.

As the session neared its end, Aagya Ma'am summarized our journey on the board, and we shared our feelings using emojis. Prachi Ma'am treated us to biscuits and juice, and we wrapped up at 3:30 PM, bidding each other farewell.

This day was a deep dive into understanding diversity, ensuring fairness, and creating a sense of belonging. With newfound knowledge and connections, we headed off, ready to make a positive impact in our communities.
