It's time for me to tell y'all more about my headcannons about the Cog Bosses >: )

Craig Edgar Oilcan - Trans, closeted bisexual. He will buy you legit anything you want if you're in his partner (can be platonic if you want) Like I said in a previous post, you'll hear a LOUD engine inside him if you press your ear against his chest/stomach. But why is that? He got himself an upgrade to have a bigger and more powerful engine so he'd have more energy for golfing, BUT he didn't bother getting extra coolant so he get's overheated quite easily, especially when flustered or angry. Which... is his entire existence, he's kinda always angry. And if you were curious, he's undergone full gender reassignment, both top and bottom surgery. Also, I must say, he's cool with wearing dresses if it'll make him look good. Anything that flatters him, or makes him look better, he's okay with. But calling him she/her? BIG No no!

Allan Bravecog - Pansexual, Intersex, He/Him or She/Her, loves baking (especially for Chris and Cathal). Oh, and he's married to Chris' as well. Changed him to be a bit more soft actually, it's very cute! Met Chris during high school, and they both got together after college when Chris got a stable job (one he's already quit to become the CFO we all know and love) Allan has a dislike for Craig, but then again, everyone does. Allan is slightly blind in his right eye, and needed to wear contacts since he was 14. Gossips with his employees and occasionally Chris about drama happening in the 5 departments. And two words... Chris P. Dolair - Bisexual and polyamorous, He/Him, married to Allan! Allan turned him into the softest guy he knows, y'know, he used to wilt the flowers. Now, he makes them grow with Allan by his side! He was sour, he was mean, Toons and Cogs would cry when they looked at him. But... that all changed, at least when he's around his wonderful husband/wife. Really focused on work, but can make time for Allan when he needs to. Smokes, a lot. Thinks Craig was dumb to not get extra coolant when he got that engine upgrade, which is fair. Chris plays golf with Allan and Craig occasionally. Chris knew Craig in college, they used to work on projects together ! Chris just goes along with what Allan plans for the group.

BIOGRAPHY.

despite what people think, cyrus came from humble roots. his father was a firefighter and his mother a teacher, they worked hard and passed strong values down to him and his sibling.

cyrus had always been exceptional in school but he was best with numbers most of all. he had a knack for formulas and problems. he spent his time in mathletes and at academic decathlons instead of sports

he graduated amongst the top of his class and went on to attend one of the most renowned universities in the country. he got his masters of business administration with a concentration in accounting and finance

while getting his masters, he fell in love and got married to an amazing woman with twin daughters who he adopted and was privileged enough to have them call him dad.

cyrus worked himself up the top of his field and took the position as cfo for drake industries with his good friend alexander

once the twins moved out of the house, his wife divorced him. he never stopped loving her but he was always working and struggled to split his time between home and work

he tries to check in on his kids several times a week, and schedules time to have meals or do something with them at least every other week, learning from his mistakes

cyrus is protective over his girls and the people he cares about, even other employees.

HISTORY —

Aeris was always one for trouble. He never really thought to much about it though. It just found him. Maybe it's because there's never been a thought in his head. Not one about his future, his ambitions or even about consequences. He grew up easy with a silver spoon in his mouth, his siblings just as easy as him as they were given every single thing they'd ever wanted and more. With his father as a CFO to a big pharmaceutical company and his mother a small actress/model that worked in Los Angeles, they hadn't been exactly present in terms of raising the kids while growing up.

That being said, he had absolutely everything handed to him, never having to want for a thing; and maybe that's has been the root cause for his issue handling being told 'no'. Nothing was ever off limits, everything was always right there for the taking especially when affordability hadn't been an issue. By the time Aeris was a teenager, he became reckless, dumb, and nothing could be said or done to get him to shape up, as much as his parents did try. He chose not to go to college; he figured the whole thing was a huge waste of time anyway (it wasn't like he'd get in; his grades were solid D average).

Instead, he just lived off his dad's money, not giving a thought about his future once. His father didn't seem to be worried about it, he wasn't hitting the headlines dragging the family name or anything like that. That was, until Aeris had gotten into an accident while under the influence, and that didn't look good for his father or his mother. It hadn't been the first time, either, but the two times preceeding didn't involved another car so it was easy to sweep under the rug. Thankfully, the people in the other car were fine, and Aeris escaped with just a few scrapes.

Before he graduated, he'd been given the boot and became homeless, sleeping wherever he could. The first DUI wasn't the last trouble he'd been in, and it was soon they'd seen the error of their ways. So Aeris started couch hopping around his friends' places, finding anywhere he could. By the third month out, his parents frozen all his cards and stopped sending him money. It wasn't long before he'd dropped out of high school either. There wasn't a point when he didn't have anywhere to live, or a means of a meal.

Aeris eventyally started staying over at his childhood friend's house most of the time. They were Aeris's best friend, his guardian angel in that sense. It didn't take much after that before Aeris's spot on the floor became a spot in their bed. He may have dropped out of high school, but Aeris still went to prom with them. He cheered them on at graduation, but it all went awry when the first college acceptance letter came in.

Aeris didn't want them to go study across the country, he didn't want to deal with the distance, and he didn't want to get on a plane and join the adventure. So, of course, Aeris did the next best thing - tried to convince them to drop their dreams so they could just live together in Los Angeles. It ended in a fight, and a rather volatile one at that. Nothing got physical, but the words exchanged left them both wounded, and Aeris grabbed his bag and walked out the door.

Drawing hadn't been something he thought he'd use for his future, but going from not having to want for a thing to having nothing he knew he needed to figure something out. As it turned out, he had enough talent to slap together a portfolio, and there was enough promise in his scrapwork to catch the eye of a tattoo artist.

Aeris started an apprenticeship at the local tattoo shop after being encouraged by multiple people to do it. It would get a roof over his head and food in his belly by the time he was a licensed professional right? Early adulthood was rough, but he did his best and eventually managed to be able to afford a small room in a multi person apartment. It wasn't a lot, but it worked.

A bada bing, a bada boom, eh-squeezy (don’t make me write out all of his twenties now, I’ll add details later), he gained enough traction to have a clientele base, and his artwork kicked off. Using social media to sell his work, Aeris’s savings boosted within the year. He opted to leave Los Angeles and sought out buying his own shop. First it began as a travelling artist that bounced around as a guest appearance in various shops around SoCal, occasionally in Nevada, then he found what he wanted.

⊹ Aeris minds his business ™ ~ he didn't see shit, don't bother asking, and he wants to know fuck all about your personal drama.

⊹ When it comes to any problem between you and him, be very specific or he'll find a way around what you said. Twist it to benefit him. How else can he try and turn things in his favor?

⊹ He requires his food is at a temperature dangerously close to burning his taste buds off, or he won’t eat it. Steam must be coming off it or he simply cannot, will not, vetoed and in the trash.

⊹ His level of loyalty to someone is based on how of use they are to him.  

⊹ Getting to know him well enough to be on a first-name basis takes a lot of time and patience, but to fall within the parameters of what he considers ‘close friend’ means you can call him at 3 in the morning without any explanation needed, and he will be there.

⊹ He might not have the money he used to, but that doesn't mean aeris doesn't like to spend it. he splurges a lot, more than he should at some points.

⊹ Aeris can't return to his parents property as there had been a restraining order issued when he tried to break in and steal things post-break up with his one serious partner.

Not open for pregnancy plots or end game romance plots off the bat. I would like to work his character some before determining any long-term, permanent partnerships. I am open to discussing ideas with heavy plotting, however I look for natural chemistry and nothing forced. He has a lot to learn and even more growing up to do before some poor soul decides to take him as their own.

♡ @firefighterrojas - across the street neighbors, and a stable foundation to lean on. aeris never asked for any sort of support when he moved to aurora bay, but angel seems to want to keep him on some sort of right track. whatever that means.

♡ @dilcne - his downstairs neighbor to their bi-level sublet home, aeris finds it funny watching her mill about taking care of the plants. it provokes a sort of banter he finds amusing, even if her nagging about keeping the place cleaned up is purposely ignored. now, as they're fwb situation got complicated and messy, and at this point, he doesn't know where he stands with her.

♡ @mackmontgomery - his employee at crescent moon tattoo. mack, at first, wasn't someone aeris paid much attention to. he's... well, he's mack, and aeris's 'too good for anyone' disposition made it easy for him to just work under the same roof as him. then, once they got to talk, aeris stopped looking at him as simply a peer, and in some ways, whatever ways a boss can consider an employee one, he sees mack as a friend. he will boast about mack's work to many different people, but he won't miss a chance to give him shit for something.

♡ @willow-thomas - aeris thinks willow is a great addition to the shop. she's creative and she's sweet, and she is genuine. perfect to work with clients, and perfect to work beside. she has nothing but potential in her work, and he is sure her kind demeanor is a great pair-up with mack's lovable oaf persona brings a light to the shop. (one he and nira wouldn't be about to bring on their own.)

♡ @nirawuu - his employee at crescent moon tattoo. aeris has a deep respect for nira. from their work ethic to their ability to keep their life relatively private. for that reason, if they need a soundboard he is open to providing his ear to them. he is also a little biased and might favor her out of his employees.

♡ @bradley-banner - someone from his teen years, aeris knows bradley through her brother. the various parties they’d gone to together with her in the background. he might be gone, but aeris still finds time and want to relive old games (pool win tally) and reminisce on the ‘good ol’ days’ with her as often as possible. it gives him a moment to think less on what he’s lost, and he treats her the same despite the fame. (not in game but canon)

♡ @priyaxdesai - met her one off at a bar, when in a moment of frustration (tinder date ghosted him) he offered a free drink to the person closest to him. just to try and spread a good feeling or something. that night ends with heated kisses and wandering hands before priya parted ways from him in the parking lot. it's been a game since, taunting and teasing and trying to get under one another's skin.

♡ @jaredx- aeris isn't sure what started it, but there is some rivalry between them. whenever he sees jared, he has to start shit for the sake of it. whatever it is between them, he will uphold it because he hasn't ever been known to take the high road.

♡ @chascwilliams - aeris first spotted him at the halloween party dressed as Aladdin, and once again at the diner. they chatted, aeris flirted, he gave chase his number, and now he hopes that at the very least, chase does call him back even just to hang out.

♡ @maura-cortes - first she was zigg's girlfriend, then she ended up a name in aeris's little mental black book. he never intended on it, until the night it happened, and the moment he got the tiniest hint of attention from maura that hinted toward a green light, aeris slammed down on the gas pedal and sped right through it. of course, he didn't expect her to tell ziggy, and now she is forever branded a 'snitch' to him. (not in game, but still canon)

♡ @ziggykyeons - once good friends, now enemies, aeris would be lying if he tried to ever said it didn't sting at least a little bit to have ziggy cut him out like that. it also boils down to aeris thinking he overreacted, but he never bothered to try and push it. however, anytime he happens to see ziggy in town, he feels his heart fill with malice.

♡ @jordanmitchell - jordan is a fun conversationalist to him. he will flock to her if he sees her, ready for her to banter and drag him through all the shit she can give him. he won't ever win a conversation with her, he knows that, but it won't ever stop aeris from trying.

sneaks around often as a teenager, hanging out with different crowds to try to compensate for the lack of control he felt - hides it from not only his parents, but his brother as well. keeps a good face at school, and a polite one at home; but can be as stupid and reckless as he pleases with his newfound dirtbag friends.

starts underground fighting well into college with a few of his fraternity friends, starts out for laughs and a way to impress girls, and turns into an entire illegal fighting ring with bets being placed every wednesday night.

graduates college and immediately starts working for their family's company, seung security - state of the art security systems with technology practically unheard of at the time of their creation; now they've moved onto cybersecurity - furthering their monopoly.

his older brother places him at the bottom of the company and forces minho to work his way up - he's sure it's a superiority complex, or compensation for something.

when his brother seems unable to produce an heir with his wife - talks of marriage between minho and another start to take place. minho's resistant - but in the end he's married to fera. there's no disagreeing with the elders.

minho never wanted to marry - still doesn't want to be, and would prefer to live like roommates. as long as they appear happy in front of their parents - it'll be fine. as long as they don't find out about his list of affairs, it'll be fine. it'll all be fine.

buys trinity after becoming the cfo at seung security, mostly as a way of having his own income separate from the family business; something to fall back onto, just in case.

mixed bag of emotions. what's he's like around you, how he acts, who he is - is all dependent on the other person. is cordial with his family, if not a little cold at best while compliant. colder with his wife, stern with his employees; occasional slips of something casual, bordering playful.

isn't all stern or strict - the closer you are to minho, the more his true personality shines out; can be a golden retriever on his best days, eyes filled with mischief and delight. can, on occasion, even be excitable and almost childlike. it's rare, but it can happen.

but changes completely when in the ring; fighting brings out a part of him that's unlike anything else - an adrenaline rush he'll always choose first.

You were unwanted from your first breath. Born of an affair between your father and his assistant, your presence was never anything more than a stain on the Seon family's otherwise pristine legacy. if your mother had gone quietly and accepted the hush money offered to her, maybe you would've lived a life without the Seon household, but your mother was never the type to idly by and allow fate to take its course. No, she demanded acknowledgment of her son, and after a drawn-out legal battle, the acknowledgment was what you received. It didn't matter that your mother was never seen again, or that you never asked for this spotlight. No, you were officially a Seon, so clearly you must be grateful for the luxuries now at your fingertips.

Being the son of a financial services CEO meant you were gifted with the best tutors and education money could buy, but the role of bastard meant you missed out on the love a son was meant to receive from his father. No matter how hard you studied or how many extracurriculars you signed up for, your family never praised or acknowledged your success. All the attention went to your older brother Hyeon, even if he was nothing more than a mediocre version of you. Still, you held onto the delusion that, one day, your success would be recognized by those around you.

The opportunity came a few years after you graduated from university. Your father announced that he was going to select an heir to eventually take over the family company. The competition would be between you and your brother, and for once, you truly began to believe you had a shot at beating your brother. You were always good at finances, and after lurking in the shadows for so many years, you were able to pick up on "trade secrets" that others would've missed. You wished you were surprised when you discovered your father had never truly considered making anyone other than Hyeon the CEO, but the rejection still stung The realization that all of your hard work was pointless began to eat away at you, and after a while, you found yourself rebelling against your life. What did high grades and ambition matter when you never got a chance to prove yourself? Why try when someone less worthy will end up with the crown anyway? That mentality led you down a dark path, and you found yourself getting more involved with the underbelly of the city.

You never intended to go down the path of corruption, but once the Burning Gods approached you with an offer to join their team, you couldn't resist fading into the shadows of the underworld. As you worked your way up the ranks, your ambition not only came back--- it grew more twisted. You became more invested in white-collar crimes and found yourself on a mission to destroy your family's corporation and similar entities. Why should they continue to thrive after all the neglect they offered you? It was only right that they suffered the same pain you felt all those years. Only time will tell if you complete your quest for justice, or if you end up becoming even more corrupt than the entities you decided to target.

WANTED CONNECTIONS.

Childhood acquaintances: Haneul grew up in the realm of upper-class New York. He didn't have many friends growing up, but he would most likely know socialites or other nepo babies who grew up around the city. Bonus points if your character was/is close to his brother, or if they're something spicy like the brother's fiance or Haneul's ex gf/bf. Anything related to rich assholes sticking together would be sexy honestly.

Enemies: This connection is pretty open-ended-- could've been someone who got banned from the casino and holds a grudge against the higher-ups, someone who got screwed over by Haneul or the Burning Gods during one of their crimes, or just someone who doesn't appreciate Haneul's arrogance or attitude. Haneul definitely has a complex about him from years of watching his brother get all the spotlight, so he has no doubt rubbed a few people the wrong way.

Ex-Fiance: I don't think Haneul has ever truly known love, but this would've been the closest he got to that feeling. This one can be developed through the dms, but it would be sexy if it was with a member of a rival gang or maybe a red eye member. Perhaps your character was using him to try and discover the Burning Gods' weaknesses, or maybe he was connected to your character's target and being with Haneul was a way to get closer to them. Anything that ended with betrayal and grief would be great.

aleksander doesn't really have a noteworthy story. he was born in new york, and that's where he's lived most of his life. he spent summers abroad, and his college years at yale, but, otherwise, it's always been (and always will be) new york.

he knows very well what his father wants of him. he knows he's been groomed since birth to be the ceo of wylie and associates. when richard inevitably retires (or works himself to death, whichever comes first). however, aleksander has never been interested in business. sure, he's good at it, but it doesn't, as marie kondo says, spark joy. nevertheless, he was put on a business track from the day he learned the alphabet, whether or not he recognized the fact that it was happening.

growing up, aleksander was a quiet boy. he had few close friends, despite the fact that no one seemed to think too negatively of him. sure, he was as stubborn then as he is now, but he didn't have the burden of his future weighing down on him until his junior year of high school rolled around, and he realized he really wasn't going to have a say in his future.

as a child, he and his younger sister were incredibly close. all the way through his high school years, whenever he needed support, he'd go to her, and he expected that she would do the same for him. that was the way things were in their household until aleksander's junior year, until he realized that his future was predetermined, that she had the freedom he desperately craved. he would never outwardly say that he was jealous of her, but that thought dug its way into his brain and hasn't left since. she's been able to act up, drop out of school, end up in the tabloids every other day, and he's had to keep his head down, behave as a wylie ought to, or risk even further alienation. he hates it, and wishes that things were different.

he has never heard his father say that he's proud of him. he's never heard even a good job or a well done out of his mouth. it's almost embarrassing, how much aleksander strives for his approval, though he'd never admit it to anyone. he truly believes he'll never be good enough for him.

yale is a family tradition. his father went there, his grandfather went there, hell, there's a wing of the business school named after them. aleksander barely had to apply before the congratulations email hit his inbox. he earned his masters five years later, graduating summa cum laude, and not even then did his father seem impressed.

aleksander has been working within the company since his graduation. his official title is assistant to the cfo, but he (and the world) knows that it's just a nepotism position; that he was born and bred to be the next ceo. aleksander fears that he'll work himself to death before his father does, though.

sometimes, he likes to dream about what his life would be like if he hadn't been born the eldest wylie. he likes to think that he'd have a small apartment in the west village (close enough to his favorite bars, his favorite eateries, his community), a degree in art history, or perhaps english literature, and some job that the pay didn't matter as long as he could afford rent and his habits of going out and buying drinks for the people he's with. he wouldn't have friends who only stuck around because of his name. maybe he'd like what he saw when he looked in the mirror in the morning more than he likes what he sees now. all he truly wants is peace, quiet, and someone to share a life with, but the burden currently on his shoulders can be crushing.

social network was my first biopic (that i watched entirely) actually !! ure such an influencer lolz

i never finished tick tick boom after i got to their breakup bc i needed a breather and then forgot about it but tbh biopics have never interested me ever... and also with the outrage at blonde and photos of that amy winehouse biopic the appeal is really in the negatives. the way bohemian rhapsody Looks is very pretty and i was in the room when my brother watched it but i wasn't really interested in queen + like i can open their wiki page . its right there !! but i did appreciate that they acknowledged freddie mercury's bisexuality

honestly the only reason i watched tsn entirely was probably because of the opening. it said so much with just one conversation and i have the attention span of a fish so i usually click off of shows n movies pretty quickly. i also saw you talk abt it a Lot and then i saw an ig post that was entirelyyy tsn so i was like !!!...???

but honestly the whole appeal of it was that it didn't try to make mark zuckerberg into some great person -- his character was deeply flawed ! and they also brought in characters who don't exist irl like erica albright (and her actress was saurrr good honestly. the casting was great) and the dynamic between the twins was rlly nice. erica calling mark an asshole, influencing his actions somewhat, and then someone else telling him he's not, really, an asshole, just trying too hard to be one, and then him reloading erica's page was soooo ajshkjsfa <3 character so true. flashes between the actual case and the past was something i really liked because film can blend past & future so smoothly and its always something i've been envious of. and the depiction of his close friendship with eduardo was really sweet and the tension creeping up on them both was very fun to watch (that "mark i am the CFO!" scene <333) .

they should do more biopics like the social network (start treating real people like theyre ocs)

I can imagine that biopics are a pain in the ass to write. You’re very limited in your creativity and still, you have to sell this guy’s life as interestingly as possible to get your audience’s attention.

So, I’m very picky about biopics, life is unfortunately not structured into three or five acts (which makes me incredibly mad) and I dunno how far the I-can-sue-you-for-making-a-movie-about-me-law goes.

The only biopics I’ve seen are The Social Network, Bohemian Rhapsody and Beautiful Boy (I believe) and all these movies broke me. I don’t wanna watch the Elvis movie ngl. Don’t wanna watch a kardashian movie. Not interested in billie eilish.

I wanna see people suffer. Don’t wanna see celebrities being sad that they’re doubting themselves.

Edit: ok also realised that I watched tick, tick…BOOM! and I gotta say that didn’t really speak to me. I understand the struggle but the hypocrisy of Rent makes me so mad that I could barely enjoy this movie.
