Okay. After a couple comments and taking a nap so my brain is reset, the math doesn't work out. If Yang were the youngest then it would work. ;) (Which actually would make for a fun fanfic... I already know the fanfic concept in question, so for the Bumbleby Big Bang after this one. I kinda screwed up in getting it out promptly so... I'm sitting this one out.)

Yang is 2.25 years older than Ruby. So Ruby was likely conceived in what would be Remnant's equivalent to January. (The school year for Beacon likely started in the Spring, seeing that we only saw snow at the end of Season 3 - The first three Seasons of RWBY were essentially six months of time with a couple-month time-skip for the final episode in Season 3, and then another several-month time-skip for the start of Season 4.)

Minor spoiler below the cut.

Given what was revealed in the most recent episode (and this is just a minor spoiler), Raven did try to settle down with Yang and Taiyang, but it didn't work out and she fled but remained in contact with Summer (at the very least). Summer and Taiyang probably didn't start hooking up until probably a year after Raven left, assuming Raven lasted six months as a domesticated birbmom. ;)

I do wonder if Ruby's going to do that most horrific of things to break Raven and get her to tell her and the others what happened to Summer - call Raven mom. After all, she did see Summer's perspective for the end and just before the mission where Summer failed to return.

Did Raven flee to her old tribe out of shame and an inability to tell Taiyang that she could not save Summer? (If she had... would she have ended up helping Taiyang raise their two daughters together? Does it haunt Raven, knowing that maybe, in somewhen, she did that and helped prepare her and Summer's daughters for the trials to come?) (And wouldn't that make for a fascinating story? Hmm?)

The moment when...

The moment when you realize Ruby and Yang's birthdays are close to three months apart, which means (given a nine-month average gestation period for humans) Taiyang and Summer likely had a special birthday celebration after one-year-old Yang was put to bed...
