Om die reden wordt hij overgeplaatst naar een nieuwe dienst, de Biohazard Agency (BHA). Daar hoort hij dat het virus is geïntroduceerd door de Healers, die in arme wijken en onder daklozen ziekenzorg verlenen. Maar blijkbaar met een verborgen agenda. Hun leider, George Galen, is een bekende van Frank: Galen was ooit een zeer veelbelovend geneticus, en betrokken bij het Human Genome Project. Hoe dichter bij Galen ze komen, hoe duidelijker het wordt dat er iets heel gevaarlijks aan de gang is.

Een vrij standaard 'gevaarlijk virus' verhaal, niet echt opwindend en waar het afwijkt van die standaard is het op het uiterste randje van geloofwaardig. Niet het beste dat deze auteur heeft geproduceerd; misschien komt dat ook door de achtergrond van het verhaal, van een kort verhaal naar een filmscript naar een roman.
