Bathroom Mirrors is an album that is best accompanied with a well-rolled spliff. Its a very chill yet diverse album that touches on subjects ranging from his well-focused grind, to getting fucked up, reflections on life and of course the opposite sex. He manages to do tracks about partying and girl friendly songs without the generic, gimmicky pop sound. As much as I hate to compare artists on that "he sounds like so and so..." tip, I do have to say he gives me a cross between, Kendrick Lamaar and J. Cole type of feel. Some of my favorite moments on the album include the intro song "U.N.O." where he reminds me of Andre 3000 in his ATLiens and Aquemeni days, because of his rapid flow. On this album the sole guest is Earn Money, who appears on the bass heavy Stay and Jealousy. The aforementioned track is dually noted because it features the late Sylvia Robinson crooning over 808's. "The Subject" has to be my favorite track on the album, laced with a Spanish style guitar riff, Binnie Kills the track as he paints a picture of his aspirations. Another moment I enjoyed on the album is on the song "Mad Max"; the sequel to" Night Cap". A frustrated Binnie talks speaks to God; "when going back and forth with my maker/askin when the fuck you gon' save us/ 'but, you just can't help the helpless...that was too helpful." The production on the Warning is probably the hardest and most boombap sounding on the album. Binnie approaches the track with an intense ferocity that compliments his rapid flow. The Warning is most definitely a strong closer. Often reflective, honest, fun and witty; Binnie Freud's Bathroom Mirrors, is worth more than a glance..
