I'm just realizing how few girls there are, lol. I wonder if Orel just associates with more boys or if there aren't very many in Moralton in general.
Anyway, I was just wondering this for future reference.

More Moral Orel as Ponies
I've been into drawing pony versions for a while recently. It started out as this but then it ended up being about Ed Edd n Eddy. So I might post those later. For now take this. Please.
Tumblr media
Orel and Doughy. I don't draw them together that often, especially as ponies, so I decided to draw this.
Tumblr media
Every kid that I could think of or have room to draw for. I wanted to flex on the kiddos some more, and also other things like facial expressions and what not.
Plus the first time drawing those kids from the forest as well as Marionetta's lil sis.
Tumblr media
Finally (for now) the Puppingtons, both original and hopeless modes. The hopeless mode is basically throughout season 3.
More explanation and transparent drawings undercut:
When Orel leaves Moralton with his dad (not sure about a hunting trip actually but idk what else to put in instead) the town starts to lose it's colors (since ponies do for dire times in the actual 4gen show). After a while even the Puppingtons lose their colors (Clay would be the last one since he was already miserable and im not sure if it took him getting turned down by Stopframe or something else, most likely the former tho).
I could write a whole essay explaining more about this concept but for now this is the best I could do. Maybe I will explain more later, but only if people want it. Who knows I might do it anyways, maybe even draw some concept art for examples idk.

Thanks for reading if you did! ✨✨👋
(also I forgot to mention I started drawing this again because of UnusualYikes on TikTok)

Little late to the party as always but I'm here for the father's day prompt.
Geez… The fathers of Moral Orel….
First of all, I agree that I want to see Karl's character expanded.  I mean, he's a really bad father, but mostly I want to know why he's a father.  Why did Karl and Kim decide to have Doughy?  Was it an accident and they carried to term, took care of him for a while, then abandoned him because it would lead to less judgment than not keeping the baby would have?  Or did they have Doughy on purpose because it's the logical next step after getting married, and all the cutest couple have a baby because babies are cute, and then they realized that a child was a lifelong commitment and a responsibility they didn't want, so as soon as he was out of that cute baby phase and didn't make them look like an adorable couple with something helpless to nurture, they pushed him to the side?  Karl certainly doesn't like him in the house, so maybe he liked the idea of a baby before he realized a baby demands a lot of attention from its mother and he got jealous and angry and kicked him out as soon as he could?  Idk, but it's a question I would love to see answered.
Another father in the show that I think is super underrated is Sal Figurelli.  He has two kids, his wife ran out on him once, and he's part of the only black family in Moralton.  And yeah, the Figurelli's are the focus of God's Image, but it's not actually about them.  It's a criticism of using religion as an excuse to be racist, which is a good message, but I think it raises more questions than it does answers.  We know Mr. Figurelli is a hard worker and business owner who doesn't let things get to him despite the odds the town throws at him, but we don't know what his relationship is with his children beyond 'they work with him sometimes' and 'Billy trusts him enough to run to him when Susie hits him', but their mom wasn't home when that happened so who knows who he chooses when the opportunity arises.
I also wish we had seen more of Tommy's family in general, especially his dad since his mom was shown much more in "God's Blunders."  They seem to really care about their son, they're just so mired in the dogma of Moralton to actually put that love into action.  And Tommy being so smart and curious makes me wonder if his dad used to bring him home books because he asked for them.  I can really see Tommy's parents getting him the science books he asks for to make him happy, even if they think his IQ is too low to actually understand what he's reading (even though that couldn't be further from the truth).  Idk, I know the Littlers aren't the best parents to Tommy, but given the other parents of Moralton, they actually seem like some of the good ones.  I mean, they could stand to listen to their son more often, because if they did they'd realize just how brilliant he is, but at least they're willing to spend time with him and they do things to protect him when they think he might be a danger to himself.  I demand to know more about Mr. Littler.
Then, there's my obvious curiosity about Art Posabule.  If he's the Bloberta to Christina, I wonder what his brand of neglect entails.  I like to imagine that Art is largely apathetic to his family and would rather lock himself in his study and drink.  The only reason I even think Art spanks Christina the way Clay spanks Orel is because Poppet tells him to and he doesn't care enough to argue about it (my big headcanon about the Posabule household is that Poppet feels that she needs absolute control of her family, from choosing what they wear, to dictating where they go, to even wanting a lock on every door so she can control who can come in/leave rooms, and Art is a huge enabler who never says no to her because he doesn't feel the need to).
Also, Bloberta's dad.  I would say that he seemed like a good parent that was only held back by what an abusive relationship (to what extend, I don't know, but definitely emotionally), but I do think he might actually be playing favorites also.  Maybe it's out of spite; a sort of "my abuser like these children, so I'm going to choose the one she doesn't like as much" but even so, I feel like the roles would be swapped if he were the one in control instead of his wife.  He was a good dad to Bloberta, which is great!  But I feel like if he had his way, then Lunchbox and Modella would have been the miserable ones.  Maybe I'm wrong, and he would have loved them all equally, but it's hard to see, since we only see him after he's already been broken into a nervous wreck who can't even accept love from his own daughter because he's so anxious and traumatized. Kinda wonder if his choose to marry his wife was just as pressured onto him and manipulative as Bloberta was to Clay. It would be interesting because then his beloved, favorite daughter would have turned into the same monster that hurt him so much, and seeing her neglect her kids the way her mother neglected her might actually break his heart, given how much he cared for her. I'll bet he feels really sad and guilty because he couldn't get his wife to treat her better, and then Bloberta wasn't able to break the cycle. I know Bloberta is a grown woman who made those choices on her own, and there's no one to blame for her neglect towards Orel, Shapey, and Block besides herself, but I get the feeling the abuse he went through would make him think it was his fault. I just feel for the guy so much, tbh. His wife is a horrible abuser to him and Bloberta, and given the way she snapped at Modella when she thought she sang off-key, possibly all her children, and he seems to blame himself for not stepping up even though nobody, not even the viewers, knows what she might do if he does step up.
Anyway, this is far too long and SO wordy but I'm very curious about the side families in Moral Orel.  They all seem to have their own problems, so it's interesting to see fathers like Mr. Figurelli and Tommy's dad, who aren't always fantastic but do seem to genuinely love their kids.  It's a shame we didn't get to see most of them as fathers.
(Also as an extremely side note, it would have been interesting if they expanded upon Marionetta's family, since we know she has a baby sister and a dad, but we never saw her mom.  So shout out to Marionetta's dad for being the only other single father in Moralton besides Putty?)
OH MY GOD
YES
FINALLY
god this needs to be explorered more in this fandom!!

I headcanon Billy Figurelli was initially going to be guard 2, but he got sick or something so Kid One replaced him. This is mainly because I hate both the idea of Kid One having a canon name and the two sharing a name.

I just relized I don't think I posted this here.
But a small next gen. Idea:
Episode "A" has Orel and Jr. Going about a Saturday around town running errands (the general store. The gas station Joe runs, etc. The bank). Orel answers Every question Jr. Has, like why he let's Joe talk rudely to him leading to explaining turn the other cheek, and sometimes it's just what people need. He loves his family, generally has a good day and dinner with them. Before after dinner going off to Forgetty's.
Only it's changed. no longer a dark den of depression the younger generation uses it as a place socialize and game. Orel sits at the bar and orders a coke, feeling at peace.
The B episode starts with Orel and Jr. Stopping for gas. Joe gives Orel his normal attitude as he fuels up the car drinking a soda. They leave with Jr. Asking Orel why he let's Joe talk mean to him. But then we stay on Joe finishing his soda. Its empty and despite there being a cooler full right by him, he closes the gas station to get to the general store.
Turns out he very obivously has a crush on Billy Figurelli and no idea what to do about.
He tries going to his mom for advice. But she's too emotionally scarred to give good advice.
He tires asking his sister, who has started a reletionship for herself, but she doesn't have the same experience and asks who the lucky girl.
He tries asking uncle Danielle, but uncle Danielle doesn't know much about reletionships outside of clay and bloberta.
He even gose to Stephanie but can't get the words out to say he likes a boy, like she likes girls.
Finally we're at Forgetty's, Orel sits at the bar to order his coke and Joe, a few drinks in, stops and asks his advice.
Moral offers to get Joe a drink, it's water, and gives his good advice. After thinking about it for a second Joe dose his glass of water as if it's a shot, stands up and goes to cross the bar to speak to Billy.
We don't hear what is said as "up the wolves" plays over the ending pan-out of the kid cast we knew all grown up. But In future episodes Joe and Billy are seen in the background together.

Note
Hehe he would give them based off what they remind animals they remind him of :3
Joe- Cat(mean on the outside but tolerable to friends)
Doughy- Dog(since he's usually obedient to the beaten path of whatever Orel is doing)
Tommy- Dolphin(cuz smart)
Random ginger kid- Camloeon(idk how to spell it, but cuz he blends into the background)
Marionette- Fox(since he still believes she stole the church money from that one episode and foxes are tricky and sneaky)
Christina- Swan(since she elegant and stuffs)
Billy Figurelli- Beaver(since Billy is probably the most hardworking on a technical level since he has a job cleaning cats and stuff)
it was real…
it was real to me 🥺🥺
Tumblr media
It's real to me too dw plus even if it's never canonically stated that don't mean it ain't true yknow :3

Headcanons!(Spoilers 4 the show!)
TW: Talk of traumatic and dark content!! Read with caution Specifically: ED + child abuse Kids: Orel Puppington: -He/Him -Has PTSD from Nature and fireworks scare the shit out of him -Bonds well with Nurse Bendy -Had to give Shapey a bunny plushie that he won from the claw machine -Kins: -Morty(Rick and Morty) Shapey Puppington: -He/Him -Still has the bunny plushie, even if it is tattered -Probably unfortunately develops the habit of hurting himself for attention since he's so often neglected and that's what Bloberta does to get attention, so he probably unintentionally learns from her Kins: -Caliou(Caliou) -D.W(Arthur) Joe Secondopionson: -He/Him -Trans ftm -Used to be a really shy kid, Orel and him were friends cuz of that -Why did he change? Well, Tommy's bullying and the fact he was told at a young age by his "dad" his mom was killed in child birth probably caused him to act out. -Wants to seem like a big scary edgelord so he watches horror movies n stuff, the bloodiest of its kind. However, he also watches MLP, Strawberry Shortcake, Carebears, and other such, not that he would tell anybody. If somebody did somehow find out, he would use the excuse of watching it with his mom. -Has a build a bear with a sound chip of his mom's voice, Nurse Bendy has one with Joe's voice in it -Enemies with Tommy because he reminds him of how he used to be nice and weak and stuff -Orel was the first one to see him as a boy -Kins: -Dan(Dan Vs.) -Sid(Toy Story) -Batman(DC comics) -Wybie(Coraline) -Shadow(Sonic the Hedgehog) -Rodrick(Diary of a Wimpy Kid) -Max(Camp Camp) Doughy Latchkey: -He/Him -Trans ftm -Clingy and abandonment issues of course -Probably had a crush on Orel at some point in time -When he was little in Before Orel, he only "bullied" Orel cuz he wanted to impress Tommy -Kim and Karl forced him to wear dresses n shit when he was young so he gets gender dysphoria from wearing dresses -Tommy and Doughy share a dorm in college -Kins: -Max(Camp Camp, specifically him in Parents Day) Tommy Littler: -He/Him -mlm -Thinks he's really stupid legitimately, hence why he's always wearing the helmet -Grows up to be a scientist or something -Athesist -Only allows Doughy take off his helmet -Cried violently at Brian's confession in Breakfast Club -Good friends with Marionetta -Enemies with Joe because he reminds him of who he used to be. He didn't like being a bully and stuff when he was younger -Adrenaline seeker/trouble maker -Burnt out gifted/honors kid -Kins: -Brian(Breakfast Club) -Neil(Camp Camp) -Amity(Owl House) (Based on what I've heard, I've never watched it) Marionetta Jones: -Her response to you asking for her pronouns: nor/mal -Her actual pronouns: she/they/it -wlw -Really likes bugs and likes playing in the dirt and stuff. Her favorite is ants -Girlboss -Good friends with Tommy Christina Posabule: -She/Her -Hangs out with Marionetta and the gang -Very nice and sweet -Has either anorexia/bulimia due to the standards of women in Moralton and her parents -Kins: -Younger Bojack Horseman's mom(That's where I got the idea from, I don't watch a lot of Bojack horseman so idk how accurate that is but yknow) Billy Figurelli: -Any pronouns -Cat person -Really kind and caring -Mr. Figurelli and him have a good father-son relationship :) Kid One: -He/Him -Abandonment issues -Orphan -Later gets adopted by a single dad :) -Feels invisible/mute to others -Just wants to feel welcomed(hence why his personality can change from episode to episode)
Adults: Clay Puppington: -He/Him -After the whole Daniel incident, he's like really fucking open about how much he loves somebody very upfront. He tells Revs he loves him everyday <3 -Accidentally walked into Buried Pleasures one time, never walked in there again. -Asked Reverend Putty for his number once and he said to look it up in the yellow pages. So...that's exactly what he did :> -Intimated by Reverend Putty just a lil bit because he's the one person whose opinion matters to him -Kins: -Bojack Horseman(Bojack Horseman) Bloberta Puppington: -She/Her -Major, major savior complex -Girlboss Daniel Stopframe: -He/Him -After Honor, I think he's still subconsciously in love with Clay because even though he recognizes him as a bad person, he still flirts with the bear he got from him. -First fell in love with Clay when he was young after Clay showed him an act of kindness. -Girlboss -Kins: -Helga(Hey Arnold!) Stephaine Putty: -She/Her or She/They idk which fits best -Does stuff like not clean her piercings or small things, just go to the hospital and see Nurse Bendy <3 -They later end up dating and she moves in with Nurse Bendy and Joe -Joe and her bond over horror movies and other creepy things -Supports her dad being happy with Clay but will never fully trust him Nurse Bendy: -She/Her -When Joe and Orel have playdates, trying to replicate a real date, she always thinks it's so adorable and unintentionally embarrasses him -She showed Orel how to sew maybe and they bond rather well with eachother Reverend Putty: -He/Him -Has a hard time taking care of himself -Stephaine and Clay have to remind him to -Thinks his problems are a burden to people so it's really hard for him to open up about anything -Gets really red-faced whenever Clay starts flirting with him -Tsundere-ish -Starts knitting a shit ton -His sweater was made by Arthur's farm -Birthday is on Valentine's Day -Father figure to Orel -Still cares for Shapey and Block to an extent -Has to console Stephaine when he realizes he's not straight -Posts 2000000 Minion memes as soon as he gets a Facebook account -Has no idea how FaceTime works Mr. Cartsen: -He/Him -Bisexual -Used to have a thing for Reverend Putty back in college but didn't really do anything about it -Pretty lonely outside of his job -Later gets a part-time position at the libary -Awkward around ladies -Passive in love, gives a lot of compliments -One of the reasons he wants to be a boy scout leader is because he wants to be better than his own boy scout leader. He got molested by his boy scout leader at a young age -Wants to be a dad someday -Miss Censordoll and him read together <3 -Helps pick out books to burn -Kins: -David(Camp Camp) Miss Censordoll: -She/Her -Intersex -Doesn't really get his compliments til they become more frequent -Pulls on Mr. Cartsen's tie a lot lol -Occasionally helps him out with boy scout activities -Girlboss Dottie Trophywife: -She/Her -VERY lonely -BIG FAT crush on Florence -Just kinda teases with Revs because revenge -Has Bulima because Moralton's standards -Tries to grow as a person for Florence so they might be friends again -Buys Florence Zebras whenever she finds something -Takes clay classes -Makes clay figurines for Florence -Projects the insecurities of her own body onto Florence -It was definitely her idea for her and Florence to move in together -Very clingy -Girlboss Florence Papermouth: -She/Her -Bisexual -Binge eating disorder -Just wants love tbh -Very clingy too Millie Fakey: -She/Her -The only one who likes Bloberta's singing <3 And ya! That's all for now :3

...ugh(Kid One x Billy)
CW: Small amounts of internalized homophobia + light religious themes
…ugh. Kid One rubbed his left eye as he carried 2 tin cans with a string attached. He was walking to Orel’s garage for the annual making things contest. The only other person there was Billy. Honestly, he was…intimated, to say the least. His flower looked nice.
As he was looking at his flower, he was quickly reminded why he didn’t have enough time to make something competent as his eye stung with pain. His hand promptly shot to his eye, so it wouldn’t sting as much from the sunlight. He put down his tin cans as Billy looked on with concern but didn’t do much.
The two just stood there in painful silence, waiting. Then, they saw a small figure approaching and immediately recognized her as Tina. They both shot each other a look. This wasn’t fair for her, considering she was a few years younger, that is, hers. It was a cabin made out of popsicle sticks. Kid One thought it was good but not as creative as Billy’s. Either way, he knew he was fucked.
Orel soon came out with his red and blue baseball cap and his magnifying glass. “Sorry guys, I had Doughy over for dinner.” And just like that, Doughy appeared behind him. They all gave a suspicious side-eye to each other of varying amounts of confusion but shrugged it off.
Orel initially declared Billy the winner before realizing that only God could make flowers, so he ended up giving the trophy to Tina. Kid One thought it was kind of bullshit but, hey, at least he wasn’t the one cheated out of a win.
Afterward, Tina skipped away one way, and Billy and Kid One went the other. Now that Kid One thought about it, he never really talked to Billy before. Now, what to talk about?
Well, his eye decided for him, as the pain fired him up to say some…less than protestant words.
Billy stopped walking and got in front of him. “Are you ok?”
Kid One just…looked at him for a few moments, considering he was the first person to actually acknowledge his well-being.
“Uh…kinda.”
“Here, I’ll lead you to my dad’s store. He has the stuff to help you there.”
Kid One just nodded in his sudden awkwardness. Why did he feel so awkward anyways…? Sure, they never really hung out before individually but they did all hang out as a group occasionally, so it’s not like they were strangers or anything.
Before he knew it, Billy was far ahead of him. He tried to run up to him, but before that could happen, Billy stopped and started walking back to him.
“You alright?”
“Oh, yea. Just thinking.” He said, scratching the back of his neck.
“Here.” He held onto his hand. “This way you…uh w-won’t get lost!”
Kid One felt his heart ache in his chest, but in…a good way? It was strange for sure, whatever this…condition was. “Ok…”
They walked to his dad’s shop. Oddly enough though, Billy decided to take the long route to it, to hold his hand longer. Not that Kid One knew any of this, of course.
Soon enough, though, they saw Sal’s corner store in front of them. Billy walked ahead of him and opened the door.
Mr. Figurelli looked at the door as the bell rang. “Hey, sport, what brings you in today? Cat cleaning’s on Saturdays.”
“Oh, it’s nothing about them.” He walked to the counter, still holding onto his hand.
“Hot tamales! The ice packs are in that aisle.” He pointed off somewhere. “Do you think you can treat him?”
Billy smiled. “Of course!”
His dad smiled at him. “Well, make sure to do it somewhere else, I don’t want people coming in and seeing…that. No offense, kid.”
“None taken.” Kid One mumbled. It was bad enough to never really be acknowledged by anybody, but it’s worse to effectively be called an eyesore.
Billy walked to the aisle that had the icepack, considering he’s stocked shelves before, he news where everything is. Kid One awkwardly leaned on the counter, waiting on him.
Once he got the ice pack, he went up to the counter to pay for it.
“On the house.”
“Gee, thanks, dad!” Billy smiled and went outside with Kid One. He again held his hand tenderly. Kid One was getting the contained nervousness consume his body once again. He didn’t know exactly why he was feeling this way. Truthfully, he’s never felt this about anybody, nonetheless a boy. He pondered why God was making him feel this way around Billy. Maybe it was just so he would grow closer to him? Hard to say, he wondered.
Before his thoughts could continue, though, the two of them went into Billy's house.
"It looks…" Kid One started, looking around at the horrible plain beige walls, the tasteless 'Live, Laugh, Love' sign, and the sickly stray cat that were in the middle of being cleaned, he assumed. Then, he looked at Billy. "...beautiful."
“Thank you, your house is beautiful too.”
Kid One looked away somberly. As of a few weeks ago, he wasn’t parent-less anymore, but they were still filling out the paperwork, so his new dad couldn’t exactly take him to the first home he would know.
“Yea…”
Billy brought him over to the couch and sat down, motioning for him to do the same. He turned to face the ginger and pressed the ice pack on his eye gently.
“Thanks but uh, you know I can hold it myself, right?” Kid One asked.
He smiled. “Your hands will get cold, silly.”
“I’ll be fine…” He hated to sound rude to the person who was helping him, but it was a painfully awkward situation to be in, especially with the two of them being so close.
Billy shrugged, just happy to be there in the moment with him. He didn’t know exactly what he felt every time he was with him, but he wasn’t going to question God, especially for how rare good is to find in Moralton.
“So…who are you bringing to the arms length dance next week?” Kid One asked.
He thought about it before responding. “Hmm…I don’t know, I haven’t really thought about it. I don’t like any of the girls.”
“Me neither. Even if I did, it’s not like I could dance with any of them.”
Billy smiled. “I can teach you.”
“Really?”
He nodded. “Well, that is, if your eye feels better.”
“Oh, uh, yea.” He stood up, setting the ice pack down, despite the fact his eye was still stinging a little.
Billy went over to the radio and turned the dials until he got a song that would be played at a dance like the one they would be attending. Specifically, I’ll Never Smile Again by Frank Sinatra.
“What is this song?” Kid One pondered as he walked closer to the radio, beside Billy.
Billy smiled. “A romantic song! It’ll be fun.” He interlocked their fingers together on both of their hands.”
Kid One’s face sparkled as bright as his hair. He stayed still, not knowing what to do and desperately not wanting to mess up, considering his newfound…appreciation…for Billy. Despite his odd concoction of feelings in his stomach, he didn’t slip his hands away.
Billy smiled, it was cute to see him in such a state. “Now when I take a step in one direction, you take a step in the same direction, ok?”
Kid One nodded, seemingly so he wouldn’t say anything idiotic around him. But…why did he care if he looked stupid around him?” He knows he isn’t, well, not as much as Tommy, that’s for sure. But still, he never had such worries about Orel, Joe, Tommy or the rest of the gang.
As strange as he felt, he did as he was instructed. They were swaying softly together in the wind as one. After a few minutes, it felt…weirdly normal? Well, as normal as a situation as this can get, I suppose. It was like a controlled amount of chaos. It felt nice.
However, this was still a fairly platonic dance. How was he going to dance with a girl like this? Unless he wanted to get friend-zoned.
“Hey uh…” Kid One started as the next song began to strum softly in the distance. “Is there any…other, more…romantic dances we could do?”
Billy smiled just a little bit, but that was enough to pierce itself through Kid One’s heart, just another reason on the growing list on why he liked him as much as he did. “You…want to romantically dance with me?”
“I-uh…” Kid One started turning every shade of red imaginable, and it clearly showed as his face looked equivalent to that of the reddest rose. He didn’t even know if he wanted to dance with him or learn from him. All he knew was what he felts not that he could articulate an answer from his Lego-like heart scattered all around.
Billy giggled, “Here.” He outstretched their left arms and placed his head on his chest.
Kid One still felt panicked beyond all reasonable doubt, if this was gay, if he was going against God, if anybody would find them and what they would do to them if they did, why out of all people Billy was the one he would give up the world for. But he also felt…a release of pressure, he could be his authentic self around him. It felt nice. He concluded that was the only reason he felt so strongly toward him, that he could be himself around him. He knew that wasn’t the whole truth, but he wanted to focus on the one he loved, nothing more, nothing less.
As they were swaying silently, other than the distant hum of the radio and the beating of their hearts, they headed the crack of the front door opening. Billy quickly got off of him and sat on the couch. Kid One followed his lead, sitting right beside him.
Mr. Figurelli walked through the door, with an envelope of money.
Billy popped up from the couch, turning around to see his dad. “How was work today, pop?”
He smiled. “Pretty good you know that dance is coming up pretty soon. Got any lucky ladies lining up around the block to ask you out yet?”
“Daaaadd!” He said, giggling.
Mr. Figurelli walked over to him, scruffing up his hair. “What? I’m surprised. But you should go, that’s how I met your mother.” He smiled, remembering the good times. “We were exiled out of the dance at the same time, that’s when I knew it was destiny.” He looked over to Kid One. “Your little buddy is still here?”
“Oh! Yea, we uh had some fun with the radio.” He said, fidgeting with his fingers.
“That’s why it was playing when I walked in, figured I left it on.”
Kid One stood up awkwardly, he didn’t really know what else to do. “Thanks for the care, Billy, and nice to meet you Mr. Figurelli.”
He started to go for the door when Billy came up behind him to wish him goodbye. They walked into the front yard. They didn’t dare speak a word to each other for a few moments, just trying to process what just happened, until Billy started.
“It was really fun…” What would you even call this interaction? A date? A dance session? Hanging out? “…to see you. We should do this more often.”
Kid One nodded in agreement as Billy looked around carefully, to make sure nobody would hear or see them. He leaned in and said “I like you.”
Kid One was surprised but found himself saying “I like you too", which was the truth, just a hard one to admit.
Billy smiled and waved goodbye and headed back inside. Kid One was left with a flurry of emotions, but at least he would hang out with him again, hopefully soon.
As he headed back to an abandoned building he could call home for the time being, he realized his eye had stopped stinging, completely. Maybe he didn’t need an ice pack.
Maybe Billy was his medicine all along.
The end
