I'm a basque-american artist looking to meet artists from euskal herria. My dream is to move to Bilbo and work as a local and online freelance artist, as well as learn the language through immersion. I used to live part of the year in Donostia and I fell in love 💕

Are there any artist groups/guilds that you know of? Where would be the best place to find further information?

We don't know of any guild, but the big art neighborhoods in Bilbo are Bilbao La Vieja and Zorrozaurre, full of creators and little galleries.

In Zorrozaurre it's located ZAWP, a real art engine, focused in local talent of almost every artistic field, and very community-oriented.

The city council has also this space called BilbaoArte which, besides offering a nice cultural programme for everyone in Bilbo, lets artists borrow some studios or little rooms for artistic purposes.

We're sure you can meet a lot of artists there that can surely give further info on guilds or associations than us 😅
