Be the change you want to see, I think I heard of it before, always trying my best~! But what moved you to say it right now? Did it have any deeper meaning? Or is it about the reblogs? Oh, and, I started reblogging some stuff as well, mostly art though. I'll try my best to continue and reblog more~ you were actually the one encouraging me to reblog and I found so much great writing and art thanks to you! So this is a biiiiiiiiiiiig thank you for always reblogging~!
It was really just about the reblogs, but can be used for many other aspects as well.
You see? This is exactly my point. There are some things you wouldn’t have seen, if I hadn’t shared them on my blog. Same goes for me. I’m in the tags everyday, and yet I find content I haven’t seen yet on other people’s blogs. Things they have reblogged and, since I like it, I reblog it as well. And so it goes. The more people reblog, the more the created piece, be it a drawing or writing or whatever, really, are seen by even more people. This is why it is so very important to all creators. Another side effect of reblogging a lot, is that the ops also may end up with more followers and last but not least more feedback. Which is also super important because all these things keep them motivated to create even more. Unfortunately though, most people these days only leave a like. And that’s nice and all, but it doesn’t do anything for the creator. It will be in your faves, but no one sees them. Even if your faves page is public for people to see, barely anyone checks that. So it just rots there and for the lack of another description, dies. I honestly despise the like button. A lot. Of course I use it, too, but barely ever without reblogging as well.
Also!! Another bonus of reblogging. You have. The tags. In which you can write some nice words for the creator to see, should they check them (which most creators do!). When creators say they want feedback, many consumers read: “I want an essay on the good an bad things, and also I want you to tell me how to improve!” Which is also nice once in a while, ngl, but what they mean is:”Please give me any kind of reaction.” This can range from:”Hey! I liked this!” To:”❤❤❤" Or even just:”AAAAHHHHHH” and “ASDFHAKJSGHSLKAGHAKJSH” So the reblog and the added tag/comment take you literally ten seconds to write but make a creators entire day.
As you can see I can write a god damn book about this, because honestly it’s something that keeps bothering me and it actually makes me a little angry. Go ahead and check some posts in the “popular” section. Or just some posts from a writers masterlist. Most of the time you will see that they have almost three times less reblogs than likes. And that really gets them nowhere. This lack of interaction and also communication drives creators to give up, stop creating and sometimes even deleting their blogs. Because it just makes it look like people are not interested in their creations after all. So why should they post them? Not too long ago I was also very close to just deleting. Mostly for the reasons I mentioned.
It’s just really such a shame, and also not the first time I’ve been ranting about this (and it’s probably also not the last, let’s be real here.)
#kitten talks#saeyoungsspaceprincess#sorry I sound so preachy here#but that's something that upsets me a lot
