Love By Design - frederik andersen HC
headcanon about the beginning of the relationship between freddie and y/n. again, these are like a blueprint for the au's. read through the au tag.
contains: mentions of injury, lil sad around the halfway point,
word count: 783
a/n: i plan on making this one specifically a series just bc this au holds a special place in my heart. the file cabinet that has hearts and butterflies taped onto it, that one.
tagging: @hugheshugs @nylwnder @lorrmorr @nolannpatrickk @owenpowerstapejob (add yourself to my taglist)

fred didn't ever see himself getting into a serious, long term relationship. he just saw himself owning his owning his own business and focusing on that for a long time, maybe for the rest of his life. but now, he just looks back and laughs.
when freddie met you, he knew he had to keep you around for a while. it was in his business marketing class, when he met you. you took the last seat next to him, asked him for a pen, and every now and then said something funny that made him chuckle. every class after that, you managed to find a seat next to the redheaded goalie who was on the college hockey team.
he noticed what you were up to. he even noticed you at games, when he would look through the glass during a review, timeout, or pregame and saw you sitting in the student section. and, in your mind, it was only a matter of time before he asked you out. which he did. a year into knowing you. a year, two girlfriends of his, one boyfriend of yours later.
it was a friends to lovers sorta thing, between your and freddie. you helped him out in the business marketing class, you showed him around campus and town since you went to school in your hometown. you showed him your favorite spots to study at, where to get the best breakfast and cup of coffee. which he greatly appreciated. but, to say it was a stab in the heart to see him go out with some girls who only broke his heart hurt you, was an understatement. and to say that seeing you go out with a guy who was only trying to get in your pants broke freddies heart, that was an understatement too.
it was after a year of pining, desperately waiting, late night phone calls, and staring into one another's eyes a lot that you finally realized what you had between you. the lightbulb finally came on. freddie got the courage to ask you out, on an ice cream date. you said yes, and one date turned into two. two turned into three, and three turned into...you get the picture.
that first year of the relationship was casual. it wasn't anything steamy, the two of you definitely didn't see it going anywhere past college. marriage was never discussed, kids were never brought up. it was always where do you wanna go out next week and what do you wanna do on spring break? nothing ever too serious. that was, until, senior year of college.
both of your majors were set: you in business management with a minor in communications, and freddie also in business with a minor in architectural sciences. it was funny, because even then, you didn't notice how your two degrees would later go hand in hand. but, i digress.
and the hockey season was making its way. he and his team were on a roll, week in and week out they were climbing the top twenty polls, making NHL scouts peak their interest to see what was residing in your little college town. when it hit. every athletes worst nightmare. career ending injury.
freddie was devastated, but he came to terms with it. he was mature, he was optimistic. he was glad that he stuck around the full four years to get his degree instead of dipping around the two year mark. but, it still hurt him nonetheless. because for all of his childhood he was dreaming about playing in the big leagues, making it on the sports biggest stage. and now it was stripped away from him.
the summer after college, he wants to have a serious conversation. about where things are gonna go, where you wanna go, what you want to do. he wants to know, because he thought he knew what he was going to do but obviously that wasn't going to happen anymore. so he asks the big question: do you wanna get married? he didn't mean right now, he just meant eventually. somewhere, maybe five to six years down the road. or shorter than that, whatever you wanted.
you told him what you wanted: him. you just wanted him, and you'd figure out the rest along the way. you wanted to follow him wherever he was willing to go.
when he said he wanted to start his own construction business, you told him to go for it. when he said he wanted to start a business with you, you were on board. when freddie said he wanted to marry you, you said yes. when freddie said he wanted to have kids, you were willing.

Auston Matthews #2.3
Word Count: 1840
Warning: angst
Author’s note: Part three! There is one more after this! Please read the ones before this so you understand what is going on (or don’t i’m not your mother but you might be confused lol)
Auston Matthews #2 | #2.2 | #2.3 | #2.4
It had been almost six months since you and Auston broke up. Your friends kept you busy and you were on track to graduate early. You had different interviews from all over the country. Your favorite option was the ones in the big cities like Vancouver, Calgary, and Winnipeg. The Maple Leafs biggest game of the season was tonight and you agreed you’d go for Mitch. It would be your first time back in the Air Canada Centre since dating Auston causing your heart to beat quickly.
The game was against the Vancouver Canucks. It was a playoff qualifying game one that Mitch was so excited about he wanted all of his closest friends there. You couldn’t deny him of that. You waited for Liz to finish getting ready for the game when you got a call from a frantic Mitch. “I need you to go to my lucky headphones at my apartment,” he rushed. “Woah woah, what? Why can’t your mom bring them?” You asked. “Because she already left, I really really need you to do this for me. I haven’t forgot them once this season and if I forget them now we might lose,” he admitted. You could hear the worry in his voice and you didn’t want him to have to worry about the headphones. “Fine,” you groaned, “I’ll get them now.” You heard him thanking you a thousand times as you hung up. You arrived to the Air Canada Centre in record time with Mitch’s headphones. You sent Liz to find the seats as you walked down to the locker room. You texted Mitch saying you were here with his headphones. You leaned against a cement brick wall while waiting for Mitch. The hallway was buzzing. People from all different functioning parts of the organization where hustling around trying to make sure everything went smoothly tonight and resulting in a win. To the left of you was a player you didn’t recognize, making you think he was a player for the Canucks. He had two reaction balls on each of his hands and was throwing them against the wall and catching them, an obvious goalie warm up. You were memorized by the rhythm of which the player caught and threw the balls. It was fascinating to see how fast he could react to a split moment. You didn’t notice but he felt you staring at him and kept giving you quick glances between throws. “Impressive, isn’t it?” He hollered at you as her stopped his warm up. His voice snapped you out of your trance. You smiled and looked at him. He was taller than what you expected but he was very big and muscular. He had pretty blue eyes and dirty blond hair. His arms were covered in tattoos making it seem like he had a bad boy image to him. “Very impressive” you giggled. He walked over to you. “Jacob Markstrom,” he said confidently as he held out his hand for you to shake. You replied by introducing yourself and shaking his hand. There was a moment of excitement when you touched his hand. An excitement you haven’t felt in a long time. He dipped his head towards you showing he was interested in you, making your stomach flip in glee. “What brings you down here?” He asked gently. You smiled, “just bringing my friend his lucky headphones,” you said while holding out the case the headphones were in. “Just a friend,” he asked slyly. You but your bottom lip and looked up at the tall blonde. “Just a friend,” you huskily clarified. “Good,” he responded in a bit of a whisper,” you two flirted for a little bit longer. He asked you about yourself and vice versa. He was from Sweden and he knew how to charm a woman. Mitch’s advice about how you fall in love more than once rang through your ears as you flirted back. It was fun flirting and nothing serious. He asked for your number and you felt comfortable enough to give it to him. “So you’re a student here in Toronto?” He asked for clarification. You nodded your head, “but I’m graduating soon and I’m thinking about moving to another city,” you admitted. “Maybe Vancouver?” He asked while sexily arching his eyebrow. You nodded your head and looked up at him more. It seemed like the two of you had moved closer while talking and as you looked up at him it felt like your faces were only a few inches apart. Then you heard your name being called by a voice you hadn’t heard in quite a long time and one you didn’t want to hear ever. You turned quickly and stumbled backwards into Jacob. He reacted quickly by placing his arm around your waist to steady you. You both didn’t move, “Auston,” you responded shortly. You could see him analyzing the situation in front of him and he had a little anger in his eyes. One that angered you. “What… what are you doing?” He asked. “I was waiting for Mitch. He needs his lucky headphones,” you said trying to calm your nerves. Auston still affected you in ways you wished he didn’t. Nothing would compare to the way he made you feel. “I can take you into the locker room,” he said angrily while keeping his eyes on Jacob. Your anxiety was high with the tension Auston had for Jacob. “It’s fine, Auston,” you told him. Your frustration coming out. Who was he to get angry. Jacob didn’t seem too worried about Auston but he was on protective mode. It was heartwarming to see him protective over you just because of your body language towards Auston, but you could see that it was angering Auston even more. You knew this wasn’t a good thing so you decided to defuse the situation. “Take me to Mitch,” you rolled your eyes. For a split second you saw Auston’s mouth twitch into a smile, but it quickly returned to his normal stoic face. You turned your body towards Jacob, returning to your close proximity, “it was a pleasure to meet you,” you said quietly to him. He gave you a soft smile back. You hugged him feeling his large frame protecting you. Once you were out of the embrace, you turned to Auston with an icy glare. He returned one back. You turned around to see that the Vancouver goalie was walking back to his locker room, “Jacob,” you called out to him and he turned around, “I have an interview in Vancouver. Hopefully I’ll be able to see you again.” you announced to him with a smile. He smiled and gave you a playful wink, “Good.” Auston looked aggravated. You smiled to yourself knowing you made Auston angry and knowing that for the first time in a long time you were getting a grip on your romantic life. “Do you think it’s funny flirting with every NHL player in the league?” he asked angrily. You looked up at him confused, “what hell,” you commented, “Auston, you have no right to talk to me about this,” you told him. “The hell I do because it makes me look bad,” He yelled at you. You turned to him, anger and sorrow dwelling in every words you were about to say., “Auston Matthews you are one of the most selfish human beings I have ever met. I’m doing thinking about you. I don’t care if I make you look bad. I don’t care about you anymore,” you lied through your teeth. Your heart pounded with passion and anger for your former lover. He stood their stunned at your words. He had this almost innocent look to him like he wasn’t expecting you to say you don’t care for him anymore. As of right on cue, Mitch came giggling out of the locker room door. You heard loud music coming from the locker room. You looked at Auston with a bit of panic in your eyes. You didn’t want Mitch to see his two best friends fighting each other before such a big game. Auston seeing this in your eyes, smiled at you a charming smile, “I’m glad you’re doing well,” he said in a convincingly happy tone. You smiled back with a genuine smile. It was nice of Auston to do this for you and Mitch. “Thank you,” you said honestly. You turned around and looked at Mitch, “Mitch,” you said with a big smile, trying to over compensate for the feelings in your stomach. He gave you a very confused smile. He looked between you and Auston trying to figure out what was going on. You prayed he wouldn’t figure it out, at least for now. You would eventually tell Mitch everything that happened tonight, but just not before one of the biggest games of the regular season. Mitch needed his mind clear and ready, but at the same time, so did Auston. You hadn’t at first even thought about him because you had so many negative thoughts associated with Auston. You didn’t even think about what yelling at him could do for him during the game. You scrunched your lips not wanting to be the reason something bad happened to the Leafs because their star player would be playing off. “I brought your lucky headphones,” you handed him the expensive headphones. He snatched them form your hands eagerly, “thank you, thank you, thank you,” he repeated joyfully. He embraced you into a deep yet quick hug. “I’ll see you after the game?” Mitch asked. “Yep,” you popped the p. “Good, I’ll see you then,” he said while going back into the locker room. “Good luck,” you hollered at the active boy. He waved at you. You laughed a bit at him. You turned towards Auston and bit the bottom of your lip not wanting to apologize but knowing you had too. “Auston,” you said softly. He smiled at you. One you hadn’t seen in a very long time. One that made your heart skip a beat. The same smile he had when you first told him you had feelings for him. “I’m sorry for making you look bad,” you breathed out, “It wasn’t my intention and honestly I wasn’t even thinking about you,” you threw in for a little shade. You could see Auston’s smile drop a little bit at that comment but you couldn’t help it. “I know,” he whispered. He softly smiled, “I never thought I’d hear you apologize to me like this,” he chuckled. You gave him a playful glare, “I can admit when I’ve made a mistake,” you replied. This caused him to laugh even more, “not when we were together,” he joked back. You laughed for a second at that because of the truth in it, but honestly it brought up hurtful happy memories of your relationship with Auston. You awkwardly coughed, bringing you both back to reality. “Well, good luck tonight,” you stated quickly and left Auston confused and in the dust.

hi hello!! it’s me, sam, back again, with another character that i hope you’ll love as well!! below the cut, you’ll find more info about my bb ethan. pls like this post if you want to plot and i’ll im you (from @ftviolets because this is a sideblog) !!
tw: dui
⤥ have you seen ETHAN HENDRICKS? the TWENTY-NINE year old CISMALE that looks a lot like MATTHEW DADDARIO? it’s always hard to catch the FALLEN ANGEL since they work as a YOUTUBER; no wonder HENDRICKS is said to be CARELESS & UNDISCIPLINED, but my mate insists they can be quite ALLURING & GENEROUS on a better day. do you think it’s true HE is from VANCOUVER, CANADA? wait, i think i hear MODERN JESUS by PORTUGAL. THE MAN - they must be nearby.
ethan was raised in a hockey family. his dad trained nhl players in the summer and ran a gym all year long, and his mother was an olympic hockey player who was a star goalie for team canada. hockey was everywhere around him growing up, and it only made sense for him to dream of becoming a nhl player.
he trained super hard growing up and was noticed back when he was thirteen; people expected great things of him for a super young age and it put quite a lot of pressure on his shoulders.
he was drafted first overall when he was eighteen by the toronto maple leafs, and though he never managed to make something out of the mediocre team (at the time ok i love the leafs now just weoifergijoergijoer), he quickly became one of the biggest stars in the league due to his charming and outgoing personality, which is something rare in hockey lbr.
he was a fan favourite, both loved by hockey lovers and non hockey lovers. he made a huge donation to a children’s hospital and though a lot of players had issues with that (bc it made them look bad lmao they’re babies) he became even more loved by the public.
but then, when he was 25, he drank a lil too much one night and made the grave mistake of driving anyway. no one but him was hurt, but not only did he get into trouble and fall from grace due to the fact that he was drunk driving, but he also hurt himself in a way that prevented him for ever playing hockey again.
his parents and older brother were thoroughly disappointed in him, and his relationship with them has been tense ever since.
he decided to move to dublin when he was twenty-seven, tired of the judgement he got from people in north america who knew of him and what he did. he needed a change of scenery, and as his uncle lived in dublin and he’d loved visiting in the past, he thought it’d be the best place for him.
he’s quite rich thanks to all the money he made from his salary and advertisements during his career, but he hated doing nothing, so he started a youtube channel where he talks about, take a guess, sports!
his channel grew quite popular due to the fact that he used to be quite famous and is, let’s be real, quite good looking.
sometimes he’s even invited to talk to sports channels in north america to talk about hockey bc apparently some people have gotten over his huge mistake
puts on a happy face but really, really misses hockey.
personality wise he’s kind of a mess but he’s also a really generous person and always offers to pay for stuff. his flat (which is huge by the way) is almost always a mess except for once every two weeks when the cleaning lady comes by.
has difficulty letting people in bc he’s scared he’ll disappoint them just like he disappointed basically,,,,,, everyone.
bi.
my love really

Dean Ambrose - I Wouldn’t Miss It For The World
Dean Ambrose - He is dating a girl who is also an athlete/sports personality but she is a soccer player not a wrestler.
Request for - Anon
Warnings - Swearing, maybe some fluff
Word Count - 894 Words.
Being in relationships - with family, friends and lovers with your job as an international soccer player was hard enough; the busy schedules of travelling all over the world meaning you barely had time to see people until the season was over. But some how you and your current boyfriend Dean Ambrose made it work (mostly), and yes that is THE Dean Ambrose; WWE’s intercontinental champ and resident lunatic.
However, your schedules didn’t always work or coincide nicely together and this seasons final was a prime example of that. Tonight was set the be the biggest game of your entire career and an historical moment for your small town team who had never even made it to the quarter finals; let alone the actual final. In fact if you won this match your team would be promoted to a much better league and to say you were nervous yet excited was a huge understatement. However, you did feel a hint of sadness knowing non of your family could make it and Dean obviously had wrestling commitments. But you just kept pushing those thoughts to the back of your mind with a ‘the show must go on’ mentality.
You were sat in the rather grubby looking changing room with all of the girls as you all psyched ourselves up, each girl performing their own individual ritual. As soon as the team heard their cue you began the short walk to the pitch; you all had that nervous buzz settling in on every fibre of your beings; the overbearingly loud roars of your home fans vibrating the entire stadium filling you with adrenaline even before the match was underway. The home team advantage giving us even more confidence as you marched your way into the middle of the pitch.
We all stood in our signature huddle circle giving each other some mumbled and damn near incoherent pep talk. The team broke the circle with a loud shout just as the whistle blew and the most important match of the teams short career.
It was around 75 minutes into the game and the score was one - nil to the away team and you could feel the tense atmosphere of the stadium weighing down on your shoulders; even the hardcore fans had withered in their stances as only fifteen minutes remained to score two goals. Oh and to top it off your best shooter had been subbed off with injury.
You had just started to lose the hope you’d gained from the atmosphere, just as you went to collect the ball from the corner you heard a familiar shout; somehow sounding way above the din of the thousands in attendance. You cocked your head slight to see Dean standing right up close to the barrier, screaming his head off. You giggled upon seeing your shirt stretched over his muscular frame as he continued to shout words of encouragement; chants of positivity erupting from the crowd like a volcano. You smirked launching the ball at Abi, a girl with one of the most successful header rates in the whole of women’s football and sure enough the ball rocketed into the back off the net. The entire fanbase of your team let out a fusillade of screams - chanting all sorts of support.
Although the score was now one all, there was still an air of nervousness as time just slipped through your fingers. It was then in the 89th minute you saw the perfect spot; the goal was completely unattended hardly any players serving as obstructions yet your were just past the halfway pitch mark.
Almost everything happened in slow motion as you threw all caution to the wind and punted the ball with your strongest foot; it seemed like the whole arena held its breath as the ball barrelled towards the goal. The ball pummelled into the top left corner of the goal just as the goalie mad an arbitrary reach for it.
Once again every single fan stood on their feet and cheered as the whistle blew and the small town team secured their place as the winners of the cup. You ran straight over to where Dean was standing and threw yourself at him, tumbling over the flimsy barrier, his powerful arms capturing your frame in a tight hug as he placed a sloppy kiss on your temple.
“I am so fucking proud of you babe, I love you so fucking much” Dean continued to hold you in his tight embrace.
“How did you make it here? You’re mean’t to be on tour” you muttered, pushing his hair out of his face - completely forgetting about the thousands of people surrounding you.
“Babe I wasn’t going to miss the biggest moment in your career for the world when you’ve been there for all of mine. All I did was talk to the big boss and move some shit around; you know me and Vince are buds” he smirked nudging your side with his elbow. “Anways, how about you go and have your celebration with your girls and then I’ll whisk you away for our own celebration” he wiggled his eyebrows at you making you giggle.
“Sounds perfect” you giggled as you placed another kiss on his lips before hopping back over the barricade; just to be lifted straight up on to your team mates shoulders.
