Blackberry dyed wool from my partner. Neither of us can remember the breed. Was a bit felted so I combed it and then spun it on some of my little cotton spindles bc I wanted a nice fine yarn. 2 plied on Minifred.

Theres tons and tons of combing waste that I will card into rolags as soon as I unpack my hand cards. Color is so good, I hope it doesn't wash out too much. My fingertips didn't turn purple so I'm taking that as a good sign.

#bigger spindles are not working for me rn but the small ones are which is nice #i think bc smaller spindle=not as far away from your lap #on the cotton birds i can usually get away with propping my hands up on my thighs #still has to be done a little at a time bc its difficult and very tiring and painful but hey ! i am spinning again ! a little bit !#its been a long time since I managed to spin much of anything and it sucked so bad i didnt try it twice #i think i could try this twice #spinning #handspun yarn #i am extremely crossfaded due to extenuating circumstances but i think when i go inside #i will find something else to comb #natural dyeing
