honestly total drama introducing international contestants in later seasons with not much explanation (alejandro, anne maria, sugar, jasmine) was so funny like yeah none of these guys are canadian but we're letting this guy compete because he's pretty, this girl because we need that jersey shore rep, this girl because this show is lacking in southern charm and this girl because canada just LOVES australia

#australia and canada are so tethered though like our cartoon children's shows are so goated compared to american and british counterparts...#on a side note as an australian growing up I literally thought Stoked was an australian tv show set on the sunshine coast or something #only to get older and realise its set in CANADA #what business does a tv show about surfing have being set in canada #do you guys even have waves like that #and then the whole character of bridgette and geoff??? is surfer culture really a big thing in canada?? this has always confused me #I thought it would be too cold. or at least too cold compared to america and australia
