We are expecting a big year for blueberries. A very rainy spring had left the old orchard swole with fruit. #Permaculture #Arkansas #Fayetteville #blueberry #LEAFF @livingearthark #FoodForest #organic #growyourown #gardening

One of This Year’s Most Anticipated Korean Films Will Open the 2nd London East Asian Film Festival (LEAFF)
The Fortress has been selected to be the opening film at the 2nd London East Asia Film Festival (LEAFF) next month. The festival is the largest in Britain and will screen 18 films including “The Anarchist”, “The Battleship Island” and “The Table” as well as the “The Fortress”. It’s a big deal for the festival also as this is the first time that it will be state funded, by the BFI (British Film Institute) and its initial trailer got to 4,000 views in just three hours.
“The Fortress” is directed by Hwang Dong-Hyuk best known for his work in “Miss Granny” and in “The Crucible (Silenced)”. Starring Lee Byung-Hun and Kim Yun-Seok, the Film tells the story of King Injo of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) as he and a few of his Officials take shelter in Namhan Mountain Fortress for 47 days, to wait out the attacks and invasion from China’s Qing Dynasty.
While at the fortress they are trying to fight off the cold and hunger, while simultaneously trying to debate whether to surrender and forge new allegiances with the Chinese invaders.
The Film is set to Premiere in South Korea on October 3rd and the festival starts on October the 19th, so it won’t be a long wait for the release in the UK.
