Tumblr fandom circa like 2011 would literally rip Eldred to pieces with their teeth
#big fat femine cishet aroace guy who likes scrapbooking and old guns...#also a goldblood who fucking hates modern technology#they would declare him not plausible and then cancel me for writing him#some of 2024 fandom would still do this#also they would unabashedly flush ship him with roonei until i literally lost it#if anyone else has characters they think 2011 tumblr would fucking hate I'm terribly curious 👀#ALSO his mental health issues lead to him being kind of a dick to his frit#friends*#so they'd either go on and on and on about how that's not an excuse (correct but that's not what you should be taking away from this#and it's more nuanced than that)#or they'd declare him unable to do any wrong or be able to be held accountable at all because of it#i keep thinking of more reasons they'd hate this man#also they'd draw him super muscular in order to conveniently ignore the fact that he's fat
