The ideas me and my friend had for how we'd write warren as a character go smth like this:

A sort of feeling of distance from the other xmen, because of his status as someone highly wealthy and upperclass. Smth i like to explore in the xmen universe is how different characters' backstories might "interact", for lack of a better word, with their status as marginalized people. In this case warren is essentially in another dimension compared to the other xmen since hes from a family of extreme wealth and privilege, and thus his lived experiences, mutant or otherwise, are different compared to his companions

Internalized xenophobia. Blasting that mf with it. Smth i WISH theyd explore is the fact that warren would likely feel extreme conflict abt his mutation bc like. On one hand bc of his father and his upbringing warren would likely feel like an absolute freak, on the other his mutation grants him a sense of freedom and expression hed never have otherwise

Transgenderism be upon him. Personally i lean towards transfem warren bc um. I can but seriously TRANSGENDER METAPHOR

Id LOVE to put him in contrast with hank as a character bc they seriously work so well as narrative foils AND as character contrasts like. The dynamic between "My mutation is, at it's best, something that people would find grotesque or unusual [his funney feet]" vs "my mutation is something that elevates my beauty and ive been mistaken for a literal messenger of god"??? Insane. Please may i see more of it. Also like. The fact that both of them have mutations that are extremely physical in nature vs the other xmen is insane please may i see more. A/N: I'm just used to writing smut things, but here's something softer. Maybe I'll do a part 2 after Bi Han's betrayal with his brothers and his reign of tyranny, what the relationships would be like, but just maybe.

You were friends with all of them, since you were a teenager. The first to bestfriend you was Kuai Liang, he was always the most communicative of the trio of brothers - he saw you training with other newly arrived ninjas and decided to welcome you into the clan, you were friendly towards him, which Liang was Unaccustomed, he really liked you so he invited you to dinner at one of the local restaurants - perhaps Mrs. Bo's - You really didn't want to bother him, after all, he was the grand master's son but he was extremely simple and humble, even offering to pay for the meal, so you accepted.

When you got there you met the shy Tomas, sitting alone at a table and eating in silence, he got a little clumsy when he saw you - the poor boy had no social interaction skills, he still doesn't have any to this day - so he stays quiet, just watching you talk to the his brother but soon he starts to loosen up more, laughing and talking to you too - and the two of you become closer than you and Kuai -

Over time, you became so friendly with the two that you started visiting their house, meeting their father and mother and being welcomed as their son too, but Bi Han looked at you crookedly and coldly - as he did with everyone - however he began to see potential in you, a future ally and skilled ninja and also you miraculously made him laugh even if a little, it was the beginning of the three of you's friendship.

You train with Bi Han, and he goes hard on you not because he hates you but because he sees you as a future ally, even his right-hand man after you prove your loyalty to him - even more loyal than Kuai Liang - "-You have a lot of potential (Y/N) just don't fall." -Bi Han is serious, however, offering you his hand after knocking you to the ground in one blow, lifting you up and helping you shake off the dust from your body.

Kuai Liang likes to talk and ramble with you, he would sometimes skip class with you to stroll through the cherry blossom gardens or just practice fighting in other places - once Bi Han caught you two skipping class and almost killed you both, Kuai ran with you on his back across the roofs of the houses in the local village -

Tomas likes to sleep with you and this was a habit he got used to doing even after he was an adult - on the days you went to sleep at their house you always slept between Tomas and Kuai Liang, Bi Han would stay in a separate bed in the same room . Tomas hugged you tightly and the next thing you knew he was clinging to the ninja's arms with him accidentally suffocating you with his chest and Kuai sleeping crookedly next to you, drooling on the pillows and with his leg over you, accidentally - Bi Han also snores at night, meaning he gets used to the loud noise.

On summer days you played games... Not very conventional - one of them being you, Tomas, Liang and Bi Han on a calm day doing a mouth-watering challenge, whoever smiled first would pay for the other's dinner, you all got dirty of water because of Liang who tickled you, making everyone laugh and lose the challenge, the last one to laugh was Bi Han who was extremely competitive, but after being spat with water in the face by Kuai Liang, laughing and then doing an ice dagger to run after his brother - while you and Tomas watched Liang laugh as he ran from his older brother -

Speaking of competition, Bi Han likes to play fights with you, but please don't go any further, he is very competitive and will end up putting you in a headlock and really hurting you - without meaning to -

On missions, everyone will be super protective of you, especially Tomas and Bi Han, in different ways. Tomas wants you 100% safe, without a scratch even if it's impossible sometimes. "-You're my best friend, I don't want you to get hurt (Y/N)." -Vrbada spoke worriedly as he followed you with his brothers.

But unlike his younger brother, Bi Han liked to see you in challenges, obviously he cared about you but he knew that evolution came from competitions. "-You are my best ninja and... Friend, come back alive (Y/N) I know that you are capable of many great feats, because I trained you." -Bi Han spoke seriously and arrogantly as always, but with a little concern in his dark irises, a reminder from him for you to return alive to the Liu Kuei clan and into his arms.

You, Tomas and Kuai wear friendship bracelets, the bracelet was made of strong fabric with the colors yellow, gray and blue mixed. The only one who didn't wear it was Bi Han - but he kept the bracelet in his pocket, he always put his hand in his pocket and brushed his fingertips against the accessory, smiling slightly behind the sub zero mask, it was good to know that he and his brothers They had you as a friend.

One day, when you and Kuai had no training he let you touch his hair, ending up with Liang with two braids in his hair, Tomas also wanted to do it but his hair was too short to style.

"-You can't do it on mine because it's too short?:(" -Tomas said sadly as he lowered his shoulders in defeat - he let his hair grow after that, just so you could style it - Bi Han said that was nonsense , but soon ended the day with two braids raised with colorful clips, arms crossed and sighing "-I'm only doing this because (Y/N) insisted a lot" -He said, looking at himself in the mirror irritated, it was a lie, he himself had offered to be your hairstyle "model".

You and Kuai had a game of slapping each other's asses, but one fine day, you confused which ass you were going to hit by slapping Bi Han's ass hard - he was on his back and wearing neutral clothes, you saw his round ass and gave a hard slap, soon seeing Bi Han jump and look at you with a murderous look, you had to use all your skills to run away at full speed to escape the grand master's attack, then you only came back at the end of the day seeing Bi Han with an ice complex on his ass. -

"-YOU WILL PAY ME (Y/N)!!!" *starts saying something about being the grand master and needing to be respected and about the honor of the Liu Kuei, typical boring talk from Bi Han* -He shouted pointing to you while Kuai Liang walked in between the two of you, trying not to smile, while Tomas was practically laughing, crying with laughter while Bi Han was still holding the ice on his ass.

Every time you see a kitten in the windows of the tallest houses, Tomas will help you pet them, easily lifting you on his shoulders while Kuai and Bi Han watch, Kuai would laugh at the cute moment while Bi Han would say "-that was silly." but deep down I also thought it was adorable, even if I would never admit it out loud.

One time Bi Han saw you, Tomas and Kuai watching some random cartoon on television, rolling his eyes while giving a lecture about "You're too adults and too old to watch silly children's cartoons." In the end, Bi Han was also sitting on the couch with the three of you and focused on drawing - yes, it was my little pony and he marathoned everything with you that afternoon -

When you went shopping in the city, the four of you would stay on the sidewalk in the late afternoon, sitting on the asphalt curb, watching the cars pass by, with the joke of "that's my car", Tomas would always stay and point to the white ones in the city, Kuai for the red ones and you for the colored ones (which rarely passed), Bi Han just said "this one", pointing to the black cars, it was a silly joke, but you liked it.

When the betrayal happened, you were torn between helping Bi Han or your other two friends Kuai and Tomas.

If you chose Bi Han's side, you would have his approval and pride and as you always believed in your potential to be his right-hand man in a new era of the Liu Kuei, you would be treated like royalty, having respect from everyone, but leaving Kuai and Tomas extremely sad and swearing to themselves that they would rescue you one day from Bi Han's clutches - even if it had been by their own choice -

If you chose Kuai and Tomas' side, they would welcome you with open arms telling you how you would make a new clan without Bi Han's tyranny, but Bi Han would be extremely disappointed in you, even if he masked it with anger and hatred. In his speech, deep in his eyes you would be able to see his pain at not having you around anymore, he would swear to take revenge on his brothers and get you back to the Lin Kuei clan and to him.

after receiving the news from haerin about your whereabouts, you get off the bed you’re on.

“shit!” the first step you take is into a bucket, your second step you take to try and balance yourself is supposed to be the floor but you step into another bucket knocking it over. this unbalance causes you to trip onto the floor with a loud crashing noise due to the…5..? buckets around the bed..?

you groan from the pain and that’s when you notice the throbbing headache you have but before you can get up from the floor, the door swings open.

“y/n?” danielle walks in with a first aid kit in hand. a panicked look is on her face as she expected you to be on her bed but instead are on the floor.

so there you were: sitting in the waiting room, awaiting your name being called, danielle next to you, trying to call you down with pictures on her phone, explaining the story behind each picture. danielle’s almost motherly demeanor helped you ease up a bit, laughing quietly every once in a while. leaning your head on her shoulder and closing your eyes helped you feel grounded. that was until your name was called by a doctor who had walked out.

“y/n?” the doctor calls out after looking down at her clipboard.

suddenly your calm state was erased and anxiety filled your body as you froze. heat rising in your body, unsure if you should run away or not. thankfully danielle was there to assist you. she was the first to stand up and help you up by holding your hand and rubbing your back. she treated you as if you were unable to move properly but in reality you were just scared shitless.

as you and danielle walk up to the doctor to follow behind her, she interrupts.

“oh sorry only relatives are allowed to be let in with the patient” the doctor holds her hand hand in front of danielle as a ‘stop’ motion.

panicked at being left alone, you say the first thing to pop in your head to counter this obstacle.

Sherlock & co. headcanons

Long post, sorry :,) I think about these idiots a lot. Lots of projection onto Sherlock, I apologize in advance.

I’m gonna avoid adding any ship headcanons because I want to focus on their characters and how they help each other, not the possibility of romance.

- Sherlock is an amazing artist. And I mean like, AMAZING. But he hates showing people his sketchbook. John is always baffled when he manages to catch a glimpse.

^ Idk if they’ll include Mycroft since he’s only in like two of the books but if they do include Mycroft, it’s absolutely his fault that Sherlock is insecure about showing his art to others.

- Sherlock’s ear defenders have stickers on them. Mariana gave him a pride flag sticker to put on them, he loves it.

- John shaved all his facial hair off once. Sherlock refused to look at him till it grew back, unless he put a mask on. Mariana laughed constantly during that time.

- John sleeps with his socks on. Thank you, fanartists.

- Sherlock will sometimes randomly decide to plop into John’s bed in the middle of the night. John secretly loves it.

- Sherlock’s hands are always freezing. Sometimes he’ll put a hand on the back of John’s neck because John hates it and it makes Mariana laugh, then John can’t stop himself from laughing. Sherlock loves when they laugh.

- John and Mariana have movie nights in 221B. Sometimes Sherlock will join but he doesn’t really enjoy movies, so he’ll just be on his phone. They do it in 221B anyway because they want Sherlock to feel included even though they know he won’t watch the movie regardless.

- CANE USER JOHN.

- As a followup to the previous hc, John hates using his cane in public. He always gets weird looks and he’s insecure about it. He often has to use it in the flat because he refuses to use it out in public, and Sherlock and Mariana never mention it. He’s gotten a bit more comfortable with it because of that.

- John has A Chair that no one touches. If a guest sits in his chair, Sherlock will tell them to move. John needs to always have an open, easily accessible spot to sit down due to his leg.

- Sherlock often goes nonverbal, especially after cases. John and Mariana have learned sign language for him. Partially to communicate with him while he’s nonverbal, partially to cut down on noise when he’s overwhelmed.

- Since it’s said in the beginning of the show that Sherlock has DID and I personally have DID, here’s a hc specific to that (which totally isn’t projection at all……). Sherlock has a child alter, as do many with DID. While John and Mariana aren’t very experienced with this stuff, they’ve taken time to learn and always make sure to keep the environment safe for said alter. They also will wait for Sherlock to tell them who’s fronting, because he often gets frustrated when they ask.

- Sorta related to the last one but also just general, Sherlock hates when people ask him things (unless it’s related to his interests). Stop asking him how his day was, stop asking him how he’s doing. If he wanted you to know, he would tell you.

- Sherlock loves John’s mum. She sees him as her son.

- John is oblivious. He’s had many people (mainly women) ask him out and didn’t understand he was being asked out on a date. He once had a friend who thought they were dating because she didn’t explicitly tell him and he just kept hanging out with her, thinking she just wanted to be friends. No malicious intentions whatsoever, he literally is just oblivious as fuck.

- On that note, John is bi, Sherlock is gay, and Mariana is lesbian.

- John’s insecure. Just in general. About his body, about his scars, about his voice, everything. He’s especially insecure about how much he yaps. It just happens and he gets frustrated with himself. Sherlock secretly loves it.

^ One time, John got so annoyed with himself that he decided he wouldn’t talk unless necessary. Sherlock told him he loves the yapping and reminded him that the podcast listeners love his rambles. John instantly went back to being his normal, yappy self.

- Possibly he/they Sherlock?

- The trio have all helped each other with insecurities. John’s and how they’ve helped him I’ve mentioned previously in this post. Mariana often feels out of place since she has no family in Britain and her accent stands out, but John always reminds her that him and Sherlock are her family too. Sherlock secretly loves her accent. Sherlock’s got a ton of mental issues (as stated in episode 1), and often gets frustrated because he has a hard time expressing his needs. John and Mariana do their best to accommodate. I’ve stated some ways I hc they do that previously.

I’m gonna stop now, but I could go on for hours.

I’ve actually been writing this on and off for several hours, oops.

thinking about random moments shared in the jamie tartt x psych major!reader fic i have in my head... just cute shit tbh

okay so the reader has been with the Richmond club for a solid few months, she’s a familiar face and friendly to the team but not super close with everybody, minus Colin and surprisingly,,, Jamie hehe

the team seems to be having a serious tie-streak going on, and they’re all kinda bummed by it

Ted’s obviously still Ted, unwavering winners mindset that basically means ‘do your best, give yourself a pat, shake it off, and repeat’ - with the addition of a smile ofc!

the reader has been doing readings for her org psych class and knows that raising group morale is necessary but also so so hard.

sometimes motivational speeches just don’t cut it yknow?? sometimes you gotta think outside of the box to fix the vibes and spread positivity

so there she is, standing in the coach’s office with a bluetooth speaker in her hand, nervously waiting for it to be her turn to speak

“Coach Ted,” she calls him in a manner that’s playful but still professional - he’s insisted on just Ted in the past and she’s complied but for serious conversations, she enjoys leading with a ‘subtle sense of professionalism’

“Coach Ted, how do you feel about group cohesion and dance breaks?” she asks, fiddling with the speaker in her hand

“Well darlin, I love a good flash mob. Gosh, those folks must keep in touch, right?” He directs his eyes to Beard, who peaks over his book and replies affirmingly, “a bond has been formed,” causing both you and Ted to smile

“Well, less flash mob but more like... a bi-weekly dance break?” she continues as Ted’s eyes land on her again. “I know the boys are bummed with the tie-streak and I was reading in my org psych textbook about the importance of autonomy in decorating our workspaces, and how group morale helps cohesion which’ll lead to better attitudes and hopefully better performance - not that our performance has been poor, it’s been great, I’m proud of the boys really! But, it sucks to see them bummed out...So maybe a twice-a-week-song-dance-break will lift spirits??” 

she’s rambling. she’s nervous!! it’s a good idea tbh but still, sharing means being vulnerable and the potential of getting rejected

Ted politely waits for her to finish, nodding along and then grins, “sounds wonderful darlin! Hey, maybe you can get the boys to give some song suggestions to help with the whole autonomy thing you mentioned.” 

she’s happy !! grinning as she steps out to the locker room, dragging out the whiteboard from the corner and scribbling in a lil corner of it

Jamie’s eyes follow her silently. truth be told, they followed her when she entered and disappeared into the coach’s office. but he smiles a lil seeing her grin at herself

when she’s done with the whiteboard, she calls for attention and lets the boys know to write down their suggestions, and she’ll choose two songs for the week randomly!! she emphasizes nervously that it should help according to her textbooks and Jamie is silently nodding, eyes drifting to her hands as she fiddles with the whiteboard marker

Dani is the first to speak, “pardon me, can it be Spanish songs too?” and she smiles really big, “anything you like!!” 

Isaac adds, “yea bruv, I fuck wit Bad Bunny” and there’s a wave of approving noises from the rest

SO, the plan has been implemented, and it’s frickin working!!! 

the boys always look forward to whose song is chosen - lots of rap, some taylor swift, Work Hard Play Hard makes them go nuts, some musical songs from Colin but it’s okay cause the lads are hyped over Hamilton 

Ted gets into it!! dancing!! Dani and Jan Maas share an imaginary mic!! it’s great, but Jamie’s favourite part is seeing her join them in the locker rooms for every dance break grooving to the music

one day SHE chooses the song... “Keep Your Head Up” by Andy Grammer cause the team seemed extra tired and bummed

everyone’s like ??? who chose this?? she’s like ‘me. I did.’

she’s trying to break the tension, so she takes her imaginary mic and goes to Ted, then Colin, then Sam, and soon everyone’s into it - just happily singing and dancing

she somehow ends up next to Jamie, shoulders bumping. she’s swaying as she faces him, playfully mouthing the lyrics to him as he smiles with a slight blush (not that she notices cause she’s blushing too)

they’re both dancing close to each other, and she lightly pokes his chin when the song goes, “you gotta keep your head up”, reaching up to pull down his headband at, “and you can let your hair down,” grinning at him when he’s like ‘hey!! :o... >:)’

the song ends, and they’re still laughing at each other, holding hands...a bit longer than they should tbh hehehe. Jamie loves her energy and kindness, it matches his goofiness and makes him wanna be a better person

but anyways!!! they pull away, hoping no one notices.. some do but don’t say anything

Leo is a bit tired while streaming today. It doesn't help that he's in cozy clothes, and wrapped in a blanket.

He's also playing a cozy game, and the music was also not helping his tiredness.

At some point he was just rambling random topics, because his tea was not waking him up fast enough.

"I remember this one post that was like if you see keysmash your... something I think it was Bi, and if you see the Alphabet you're something else... I don't really remember. It was so long ago, and I can't find it anymore."

"Though I did write the alphabet on a whiteboard in the waiting room at work, and kept a count of how many people questioned if it was a written keysmash, or not. Then I question them on not recognizing the alphabet."

Leo stays quiet for a few minutes while moving his character about the environment, gathering random items.

"Though I personally don't know much about the local education systems. I was homeschooled for legal reasons. Those reasons? Sorry you have to talk to that annoying worm to get that information." Leo gets distracted for a minute again, modifying something in game.

There is a pause before Leo let's out a loud yawn that lasted a few seconds. He then pauses the game and went to get a fresh mug of tea.

His model flops over slightly when Leo leaves, and a snoring sound starts playing.

The viewers took this moment to send a number of bits/donations/super chats, setting off a cacophony of sounds and effects on screen.

Leo returned a few minutes later, his model jolting back into place.

"Well I got some stronger stuff, so I should be more awake now. I see you guys were bored while I was gone." Leo says as he scrolls through the notifications.

A sudden Air Horn noise goes off. With no name attached to whoever redeemed for the sound.

Scaring everyone, and sending Leo to fall out of his chair.

"To whoever saved up for that! I sincerely loathe you!" Leo shouts while getting back up. "Thankfully my tea is safe, nothing spilled. And again that sound was set to be Stupidly Expensive, so whoever bought that. You must've been saving up practically from the beginning of the year."

Leo glares at the camera while getting everything back into place.

"Well I'm more awake, but now a bit annoyed at you guys. So I will be switching to a different game."

The screen switches to a very old RPG maker game.

"Yes, I am this spiteful right now!"

There was some begging in the chat as Leo starts the game.

So umm. Hi everyone. You can call us Chiaroscuro, or Chia for short :) We collectively identify as nonbinary and bi-ace, but we each have our own genders and orientations. More on that later.

Bouncing to try and ease his nerves, Lucifer focused on the light tapping noises his boots made against the floor each time. At least before hands on his shoulders made him settle. He knew he should be calmer and more confident, but how could he? His mom had asked him to fill in for her to talk about the hotel! He couldn't let her down. Couldn't destroy their dream before it even had a chance.

"Okay. You remember what to say?"

Letting Cain and Vaggie straighten out his clothes and hair, Lucifer gave a small laugh at their fretting. "Yes. Don't worry. I am so ready for this interview! My first public appearance since I was a kid. So exciting!"

"Just look at me and I'll mouth it to you."

"Come on Vaggie~ You have no faith in me."

Shaking her head at the pouting prince, Vaggie smoothed out his shirt one more time. This had to be perfect. "I do have faith in you. However, I also know you get nervous easy and tend to ramble."

Handing Lucifer a donut from the snack table, Cain wrapped his arms around his ward's shoulders from behind. Both to calm the shorter of the two down and because he loved any chance at contact with him. "While it is endearing and downright adorable, Katie will not have the patience for it."

Finishing up his treat, Lucifer leaned back into the warm body behind him and lightly held onto the arms around him. "I know, I know. Oh! Maybe I could-"

"Sing a song?"

Tilting head back, he gave Cain a small smile. "You knew what I was gonna say."

"Could you two focus and not start flirting in front of me?"

"We aren't flirting, Vaggie. Cain is my best friend and my guard. He just gets me."

"Right. My point still stands. Please don't sing. This is serious, and I promised your mother that I'd keep you out of trouble."

It was a shame that Lucifer attracted so much trouble, especially when he sang. He was good person. Had a good heart and a beautiful singing voice. But Vaggie had to make sure nothing happened. She couldn't disappoint the Queen.

"Well, you know~ I'm much better at expressing myself and my goals through song."

"Get off the table you goof." Picking up the fallen angel, Cain laughed at how readily he clung to him.

Ignoring the two, Vaggie tried to get them back on track. While Lucifer didn't think of their interactions beyond close friends, she knew someone in love when she saw them. Poor, poor Cain. "Life isn't a musical, hon. just please stick to what we rehearsed."

"Ugh~" Getting back on his hooves, the prince tried to get the pout off his face. "I make no promises. You know how my brain works~"
