Mahadev Online Betting Scam: Bollywood Celebrities and Pakistani Connections Under Scrutiny
MUMBAI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated an extensive investigation into the Mahadev Online Betting scandal, revealing a complex network of money laundering activities that extend far beyond the realm of online betting. This case has taken an intriguing turn, with the involvement of UPI IDs, implicating well-known personalities, celebrities, and even political contributions.
The Mahadev Online Betting Scandal: A Brief Overview The spotlight has turned to Mahadev, an online betting application, founded by Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal hailing from Bhilai, Chattisgarh. The ED has cast a sharp eye on this platform, alleging that it served as a hub for illicit betting websites. It facilitated new user registrations, generated User IDs, and funneled funds through a convoluted network of anonymous bank accounts.

Extensive Raids and Compelling Evidence In a recent series of coordinated raids conducted in cities like Kolkata, Bhopal, and Mumbai, the ED has unearthed substantial evidence and frozen/seized assets totaling an astounding Rs 417 Crore. According to the ED, Chandrakar and Uppal orchestrated the operations of Mahadev Online Betting from a central headquarters located in the UAE. They employed a franchising model, establishing "Panel/Branches" for their associates, with profit-sharing arrangements set at a 70:30 ratio.
A deeply troubling aspect of this scandal revolves around the exploitation of vulnerable communities, specifically slum residents and those with limited incomes. It appears that individuals implicated in this alleged scam acquired UPI (Unified Payments Interface) details from these unsuspecting individuals, effectively using them as pawns in money laundering schemes. In return for the use of their UPI IDs, these victims were given meager sums, while the ill-gotten funds were channeled to foreign entities. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the full scope of this fraudulent activity and quantify the amount of money that has been laundered through this deceptive modus operandi.
Lavish Wedding Expenditure Raises Concerns
Recent ED raids conducted in Bhopal, Mumbai, and Kolkata have brought to light the extravagant lifestyle of the primary accused, Saurabh Chandrakar. Astonishingly, it was revealed that he lavishly spent over Rs 200 crore on his wedding ceremony in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Shockingly, reports suggest that the funds for this opulent celebration were sourced from the proceeds of criminal activities.
Private jets were chartered to transport family members from Nagpur to the UAE for the wedding festivities, and renowned celebrities were hired for special performances. An array of wedding planners, dancers, and decorators were flown in from Mumbai, with cash payments facilitated through clandestine hawala channels.

Celebrity Involvement and Suspicions of Proceeds from Illegal Activities
The ED's ongoing investigation has also implicated several prominent celebrities who endorsed these betting entities. These celebrities not only lent their names to these platforms but also participated in various events organized by the app promoters and other individuals accused in this case. Payments to these celebrities were routed through intricate transactions, ultimately sourced from the proceeds of online betting activities.
The list of celebrities under scrutiny includes well-known figures such as singers Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani, actor Tiger Shroff, Elli Evram, Bhagyashree, Pulkit Samrat, Sunny Leone, Kirti Kharbanda, Nushrat Bharucha, and comedians Bharti Singh, Krishna Abhishek, and Ali Azgar.
In conclusion, this disturbing scandal not only highlights the exploitation of vulnerable populations but also shines a light on the extravagant spending habits of key individuals involved. The web of celebrity endorsements and the suspected use of proceeds from illegal activities underscore the need for a thorough investigation into the matter, ensuring that justice is served and accountability upheld.

KNOW THE DARK TRUTH OF CELEBRITY WORLD
Bollywood stars are also human beings like ordinary people. A tide of emotions rises in them as well. These stars, who meet each other warmly at parties, are in fact so surrounded by a feeling of competition, jealousy, and insecurity that the pressure of this keeps pushing them towards depression. To avoid this, they resort to liquor or medications, due to which this depression gets worse, due to which it is difficult to handle both success and failure. Last year, on June 15, 2020, when the news of the suicide of film artist Sushant Singh Rajput was published, the entire nation was stunned. . What happened due to which the star, while moving towards this stardom of the film world, taking his life by hanging.
Why only one Sushant, who lives a luxurious life on screen, shows romance with beautiful heroines, Superman who beats ten-ten in one punch and makes millions crazy with his style, charging crores for each film. There is so much in the real-life and reel life of the Venus of Bollywood which is shocking.
Deepika Padukone, the heroine of films like 'Piku', 'Chhapaak', 'Chennai Express, 'Bajirao Mastani', has also been a victim of clinical depression, which she disclosed at the World Economic Forum in the year 2020. Guru Dutt, a well-known director of the Indian film industry in the seventies, producer of 'Pyaasa', 'CID' and 'Kaagaz Ke Phool' and the best actor, was found dead in his apartment in 1964. The reason being, he had ended his life by consuming a lot of alcohol and sleeping pills.
Synonymous with success, director Manmohan Desai, who gave films like 'Amar Akbar Anthony', 'Coolie' and 'Mard', died in 1994 at his Gir village home. No one could understand why the 19-year-old Divya Bharti, who had made crores of people crazy in the films 'Shola Aur Shabnam' and 'Deewana', jumped off the fifth floor or Silk Smitha, the sex bomb of the South. Why did he embrace death?
Talking about some more names in this, MTV's famous VJ Nafisa Joseph, Jiah Khan, who has worked with Amitabh and Aamir, Indian TV industry's girl bride Pratyusha Banerjee, TV actor Kushal Punjabi, as many names as can be taken. Can't believe that this can also be the face of this glam world. There are many reasons behind these famous names of the Bollywood industry full of glamour, fame, and glitz going into depression or suicide in the final stage of depression. Let us try to take a look at them-

In ‘dry’ Bihar, this MBA bootlegger made Rs 9 lakh per day
PATNA: In “dry” Bihar, he created a flourishing oasis of illicit liquor to build a fortune that he loved flaunting — luxury wheels, fancy phones and a designer lifestyle. Both luck and liquor ran out for 28-year-old Atul Singh, who has an MBA degree from a reputable Noida university, on Friday when Bihar police raided his rented accommodation at the city’s Mahatma Gandhi Nagar. Over 1,100 litres of liquor worth Rs 21 lakh were found stocked in the house. Manoranjan Bharti, SHO, Patrakarnagar police station, said entries in Atul’s diary suggested he sold liquor worth around Rs 9 lakh a day in various parts of the city. The police are digging into his bank passbooks and documents related to monetary transactions to find out more about his business. Atul, a resident of Alawalpur village in Patna rural, told interrogators that he would employ jobless youths to deliver liquor to his customers across Patna. As per police, he paid Rs 500 for every successful delivery. Around 30 to 40 youths were involved in the trade. The police laid a trap for Atul following the arrest of two of his alleged accomplices, Indrajit Singh and Sanjiv Kumar. Initially, he tried to mislead the cops by claiming to be a management student. “He produced an identity card of a Noida university. But the raid party had evidence and he was forced to make a confession,” the SHO told TOI on Saturday. Two rooms of the house were used to stock liquor supplied to him by four smugglers from Vaishali, police said. Raids are underway to nab suppliers. Police have also arrested his alleged associate Vishal Kumar. On Friday, Atul, Sanjiv and Indrajit were produced in a local court and remanded in judicial custody for 14 days. Bharti said all four accused have been booked under Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. A Honda Amaze car, a Kawasaki Ninja motorbike, Rs 1.75 lakh in cash and two iPhones are among the items confiscated from them.

benefits of mustard oil that makes it so popular
8 amazing benefits of mustard oil that makes it so popular
There are some ingredients that can never be replaced in Indian cuisine. Not only are they essential in the creation of various regional delicacies, their uses are manifold and extend beyond the boundaries of the kitchen. One of these examples is mustard oil. While it takes a while to "get used to" to familiarize yourself with pungency, overcome it and you will soon learn to appreciate its unique flavor. It is compelling. In eastern and northeastern India, it is difficult to imagine life without a bottle of mustard oil at home. It is believed to have miraculous properties, and therefore is used as a remedy to cure a cold, increase immunity, promote hair growth, provide nourishment to the skin (especially in the case of children who are massaged with mustard oil during the winters and sunbathe for a dose of vitamin D and also for strengthening bones), oral health, and so on mustard oil in Pakistan.
Mustard oil (Sarson ka tel) is extracted from mustard seeds (black, brown and white) and is reddish-brown or amber in color. It has been commonly used in northern and eastern India since ancient times and has numerous health benefits.
"Cooking oils are an integral part of the Indian lifestyle. However, we are confronted with a series of well-marketed edible oils that claim a series of health claims. In Indian cooking conditions, which mainly involve frying, our Secular oils like ghee, coconut oil, and mustard oil perform better than refined oils and other oils for health benefits, "said Dr. SC Manchanda, Department of Cardiology, Ganga Ram Hospital.
Mustard oil - the benefits
1. Good source of MUFA
"Mustard oil is highly recommended for the reason that it is full of monounsaturated fatty acids. Our body needs oil in the ratio of 3: 1 - three parts of polyunsaturated fatty acids and one part of saturated fatty acids. Fatty acids monounsaturated (MUFA) under polyunsaturated. Mustard oil is full of MUFA which is very essential for our health. It is good for the heart, lightens the skin, helps in hair growth, prevents premature graying of the hair, etc. "says Dr. Anju Sood.
2. Promotes heart health
According to a study conducted by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, including mustard oil in your regular diet could prove beneficial for your heart health. Being a rich source of MUFA, it lowers bad cholesterol in the body, thus controlling blood fat levels and helping circulation. The results also stated that the use of mustard oil, which is rich in alpha-linolenic acid, was associated with a lower risk of IHD (ischemic heart disease) than the use of sunflower oil
3. Treat cracked heels and brittle nails
Bharti Taneja, beautician, cosmetologist and founder and director of ALPS Beauty Academy and Group, says: "Cracked heels are an annoying problem during monsoons and winter. You can use scrap candles to greet cracked heels. Just create a mixture by heating the candle wax with the same amount of mustard oil so that it becomes a thick mixture. Fill the chapped heels with this mixture and sleep with cotton socks to make the heels smoother. "Deepali Bhardwaj, the Delhi dermatologist, says: "Mustard oil can be applied on the nails. It is better than coconut or almond oil in terms of benefits. It has the power to lubricate the nail bed and be easily absorbed to cause nourishment. "
4. Protects from infections
Mustard oil has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. Its external and internal use is said to help in many ways to fight infections, including digestive tract infections.
5. Helps blood circulation
According to Ayurveda, the use of mustard oil for body massage improves blood circulation, skin structure and releases muscle tension. It also activates the sweat glands and therefore helps eliminate toxins from the body. As such, it acts as a natural cleanser.
6. Good for the skin
Mustard oil is rich in vitamin E, an essential nutrient for the skin. Therefore, when applied to the skin, it is said to reduce wrinkles and wrinkles and acts as a sunscreen. Traditionally, in India, children are often massaged with mustard oil. However, recent studies have claimed that massage with mustard oil should be done in limited quantities. Too much of it could prove harmful and cause irritation. Anshul Bhatnagar, a Delhi nutritionist, says: "Mustard oil has many topical uses and is good in various ways. However, one with oily skin should avoid massaging it on the face and should also be avoided for body massages. for those with sensitive skin. "
It is also said to help remove tan and dark spots when used in conjunction with other ingredients to create face masks. In addition, you can also massage the skin with equal quantities of mustard oil and coconut oil to improve skin tone.
7. Relief from cough and cold
Mustard oil has been a centuries-old ingredient for the treatment of coughs and colds. "This is because of its warming property which helps eliminate congestion from the respiratory tract. Treatment with mustard oil steam is often recommended as a home remedy, and you can also rub about a teaspoon of it on your chest before sleeping to make it work. magic, "says Saumya Reddy, a nutritionist from Bangalore. It is perhaps the same pungency that helps to clear the breasts, just like wasabi. Another home remedy is to make a mixture of about a tablespoon of hot mustard oil and two or three cloves of garlic and rub it on the feet.
8. Promotes hair growth
If you thought coconut oil was the only oil used for hair massage in India, travel to northern or eastern India and you will find almost all families who swear by the incredible property of mustard oil for hair growth. It is again a centuries-old practice followed to this day. "Mustard oil contains beta carotene which is excellent for hair growth when massaged on the scalp. Activates blood circulation and its antibacterial properties prevent scalp infections," says Priya Singh, head of beauty expert in Delhi.

EXCLUSIVE: Bharti Singh talks about The Kapil Sharma Show, changes in Kapil post marriage and the year 2019
The Kapil Sharma Show has indeed made a remarkable return to the television screens and we can see how well everything is coming about for Kapil Sharma as well as the entire team. The show has maintained consistency in terms of getting good numbers and has successfully stayed away from any kind of controversies. Bharti Singh, who plays Titli Bhabhi in the show, is one of the finest addition to the new season, and when we got in touch with the comedian, she had loads to say in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla.
When quizzed how The Kapil Sharma Show is something she has been waiting to work on and her character, she said, "It is very good, and my character of Titli bhabhi is very cute. It was Kapilbhai’s ideation only. We had thought a lot about it, to make it Gujarati or Punjabi, so I was talking in Lalli’s voice to someone randomly, and he suggested that let’s keep it like this. The idea is that she is married and has eleven kids but she is still a kid in her mind and ways. People can tell me anything or for that matter, I insult my family too, but when others say a word, then Titli Bhabhi gets very angry. It is a very cute and lovable character and I enjoy shooting".
Talking about the shoot, she said, “Kapil Bhai gives so much of space whenever anybody enters. It is me or Krushna or anyone for that matter, he only gives the cue. Image caption Bihar has ramped up coronavirus checking out alternatively it is tranquil too low, advise specialists
When Gopal Singh complained of severe chest trouble on 18 July, his family got disturbed.
The 65-year-frail had a historical past of breathing illnesses, and he had also suffered a heart attack in 2013.
So he got examined for coronavirus straight away. The finish consequence used to be obvious.
His family rushed him to the federal government sanatorium of their dwelling town of Katihar within the northern deliver of Bihar. The doctor suggested them to come to a decision him dwelling, which surprised his son, Vishal.
He told the doctor that his father had recovered from severe pneumonia ideally suited year, and used to be at greater menace. Nonetheless the advice remained unchanged.
At the same time as the family arranged an oxygen cylinder at dwelling, Vishal started contacting other hospitals. None had beds accessible.
Over the following 24 hours – as Mr Singh’s blood oxygen stage stored falling – Vishal got thru to a government sanatorium that had an ICU mattress free.

Then once more it used to be 90km (55 miles) away and he needed to search out an ambulance to come to a decision his father there, which he did.
They were on the formulation, and simply about at their destination, when it ran out of oxygen. Vishal frantically known as the sanatorium and asked for an oxygen cylinder to be made accessible on the gate.
As soon as they finally arrived, there used to be no-one on the gate – and in addition they were told there were no ICU beds accessible. They were asked to come to a decision Gopal to the isolation ward.
It used to be on the third flooring and the buy wasn’t working. So Vishal and his 60-year-frail mother took his father up the stairs on a stretcher. Vishal says no doctors or nurses came to seek Gopal.

He stumbled on 10 oxygen cylinders outside the ward, but none were paunchy. He says he old them, switching the cylinders once more and once more once more thru the evening.
By the morning, they made up our minds to shift Mr Singh to 1 more sanatorium. They’d barely driven for an hour when he died.
“I did all the pieces to place him however the system defeated us. He did not die, it is raze. He stored asking me to place him – he used to be so petrified,” Vishal says.
“I would not ever neglect his pleading eyes.”
Mr Singh’s loss of life is proof of the grave challenges that face Bihar, indubitably one of India’s most populous and poorest states, in its battle in opposition to Covid-19.
‘We did not concept on the correct scale’
To date, Bihar has recorded bigger than 33,000 cases, most of which were added in July. Then once more it has reported barely few deaths from the virus – 217. That’s a miles lower loss of life-toll than that of Andhra Pradesh (884), one more deliver which is witnessing a interesting uptick in case numbers.
Nonetheless that may perhaps well trade immediate, advise doctors and specialists, for the reason that deliver did not attain enough to shore up its crumbling health infrastructure in time.
Greater than 40% of the posts for healthcare employees are tranquil vacant, says Dr Sunil Kumar, the secretary of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in Bihar. Right here is no topic repeated requests to the federal government, he adds.
“We knew Covid-19 will strike the deliver sooner than later, but we did not concept on the scale we needed to,” he says.
Most districts in Bihar also would not private enough ventilators, which private turn out to be important in treating emergency Covid-19 cases.
“There may perhaps be an acute scarcity of doctors who’re specialists in working the ventilator – that is a with out a doubt particular requirement – and the deliver must private concept of it,” Dr Kumar says.
The deliver government denies lapses on its phase, and has said it is constructing extra health infrastructure all true now.
Nonetheless Bihar faces bizarre challenges: For one, its indispensable healthcare community is primitive and suffers from decades of neglect. Many states private old those networks to envision and imprint successfully, or invent awareness about hand-washing and wearing masks.
It also has fewer top-rung government hospitals or private ones, which is inspiring to accommodate and treat patients right this moment. While fat cities corresponding to Delhi and Mumbai private also considered deaths due to the delayed admissions, specialists scare that a similar strain in Bihar may perhaps well consequence in a miles greater loss of life toll.
To private matters worse, flooding has begun in a few formula of the deliver, extra stymying its response.
‘Virus is going unchecked’
Dr Kumar says the upward push in case numbers shows that the an infection is spreading rapid, and to a ways flung corners of the deliver.
While Bihar has ramped up checking out, its checking out charges are tranquil amongst the bottom within the nation.
That turns into clear if you compare Bihar’s tests per million – about 3,500 – to Andhra Pradesh’s figure – some 28,000. Uttar Pradesh, a deliver more an a lot like Bihar with regards to resources and population size, is doing bigger than 7,000 tests per million.
Bihar is now averaging about 10,000 tests a day, but that’s tranquil too tiny brooding about it is dwelling to bigger than 100 million of us, Dr Kumar says.
“This implies that many infected of us are going unchecked and spreading the virus into communities,” he adds.
Bihar had the coolest thing about finding out from states savor Delhi, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, the put the an infection raged in Could presumably perhaps even and June. And a stringent nationwide lockdown – thru April and Could presumably perhaps even – also gave officers the opportunity to prepare for a rise in case numbers.

Nonetheless they did not act right this moment, failing to enlarge checking out. And the caseload too remained amongst the bottom within the nation till June.
The likelihood began to trade when the lockdown forced migrant labourers, without warning out of labor and money, to return dwelling to Bihar.
A doctor, who did not savor to be identified, said there were evident lapses in checking out and quarantining the employees who came dwelling.
There were reports of of us operating a ways from quarantine centres on fable of of contemptible management, and a few entirely dodging the screening process.
“All those lapses are with out a doubt costing the deliver – of us are dying on fable of of that negligence,” the doctor says.
‘Or not it is having a ogle grim’
Timely checking out and the typical of medication continue to be a danger.
Rajnish Bharti had a excessive fever and cough when he went to the federal government sanatorium in Bhagalpur district on 9 July.
He used to be told to come motivate motivate 10 days later as “there are too many folk on the waiting checklist”.
Mr Bharti’s condition worsened in that point, and he used to be admitted to the sanatorium as shortly as he examined obvious for the virus.
He says he met a doctor the day he used to be admitted, but no-one has visited him within the week since.
Image caption A entire lot of patients wanted to be given oxygen in sanatorium waiting areas
“A ward boy (helper) comes and throws medicines within the room. Or not it has been happening for five days,” he says.
He adds that he is disturbed he may perhaps well not accumulate oxygen in time if his condition deteriorates.
There is a phone amount that patients can call in case of an emergency, alternatively it is not manned 24×7.
Nonetheless those with “connections” can accumulate treated immediate, Mr Bharti says. By that he formulation those that are affluent or highly efficient enough to drag strings.
“If some VIP calls on your behalf, you are straight away looked after,” he adds.
A senior journalist in Patna, the deliver’s capital, who also did not savor to be named, said this used to be not uncommon. “Connections topic in states savor Bihar, and that most ceaselessly leaves out the sad who private nowhere to head,” he says.
“Nonetheless the formulation caseload is going up, I doubt that even connections can be of any attend in due route.”
A government doctor in Gaya district says the strain on the system is already constructing up.

Image caption Crew shortages mean kinfolk most ceaselessly attend patients, and without protective gear
“There may perhaps be an acute scarcity of crew, and I finish up having a ogle after 50-80 patients alone, with correct a nurse to attend,” he says.
He says that at cases, there don’t appear to be enough cleaning crew or assistants on fable of they’re all employed as contract employees with sad pay and no protection.
“They attach not hear to us and I cannot blame them. Would you bet your lifestyles for 5,000 rupees ($66: £52) a month? That’s correct peanuts,” he adds.
“We doctors are doing what we can, but I am with out a doubt disturbed. Or not it is having a ogle more and more grim every day as I seek of us struggling to place their kinfolk.”
