Andrew wrapped his arms around the man without hesitation,  pulling him near his chest.  He knew he was partially to blame,  but --  Things should never have come to this.

“I didn’t send them,”  he whispered,  pressing a kiss to the top of Frank’s head  “I swear,  I had no idea what they were even doing there,  or why they went after Alfie.”

They probably did it for him,  but not by his order.  He was not to blame!

Sinclair is a sucker for feeling physically small with bulkier, taller partners, and physical touch. The only reason he wouldn’t want to hug Frank from behind is that, upon slowly realizing how the man is reactive and almost constantly alarmed, he wouldn’t do anything that he wouldn’t be able to see from the start and that would cause him to feel unsafe or unease. Then, baths are only for moments where he wants to stay alone and disconnected, hence a state he’d rather not have Frank see him.

Sex:

Also, he likes hearing to Frank’s thoughts and views on stuff, so also going to expositions and sort… but let’s be real, they’d prolly eat popcorn and giggle, if not even forget completely about the movie after a while and do their stuff or leave.

💘 FONTAINE  :

Frank took another drag of his cigarette, returning hard eye contact with the detective as he listened to his words, his poker face hiding the frustration he was starting to feel build up perfectly.  A man like him was accustomed to hiding his emotions under a facade;  it was imperative to his work.  It did not do much, however, to quell the feelings that still made themselves present in his mind, no matter how hard he tried to keep them at bay.

“  I do have a lot of employees, yes. It’s necessary to make sure that my clients receive everythin’ they need in a timely manner.  “  He responded, a tight lipped smile forming.  “ I am more than happy to have my secretary send over copies of my employees files to your agency, if that’s what you need.  Hell, you can even speak to them yourself if that’s what you need.  “  He spoke with quiet confidence, knowing damn well that none of his workers would dare speak against him, ‘less they want to disappear.  Another drag, accompanied by a silent sigh.  “  That is not true.  I’m sure you’ll see that when my girl sends everythin’ over.  “

If word had gotten out about his smuggling ring, that could only mean one thing;  somebody had decided to snitch.  That would have to be dealt with.  Not right off the bat, of course, he’d wait until the culprit felt safe before he made his move. “  You don’t really believe silly rumours like that, do you, detective Valentine?  “ The con man challenged, his smile faltering in favour of an exasperated expression. “  Rumours like that, they’re always spread out of jealousy, y’see.  I own a helluva lot of Rapture’s business interests, that’s common knowledge, I’ve got my charity work which speaks for itself, and I know that there are more than a few people who ain’t takin’ too kindly to the latter, for certain.  “

          A shrug, passive as though the threat in the words was not terribly clear. Valentine took a drag from his cigarette before answering, holding the moment, weighing his options.

          ❝ I’m impartial here, one way or the other, ❞    he replied, shrugging,    ❝ I don’t know whether the rumors are true, whether to believe ‘em...    I just know that there’s a man missing and I need t’ find out what happened to 'im, you understand. That’s all I’m after. ❞

            His voice was smooth, confident. He knew he was playing with fire, but he knew how to handle it to keep it from burning him. At the very least, he didn’t intend to cause any undue problems with Fontaine, anything that’d come back to bite him. Of course, there was the trouble of not knowing just how much of a hand Fontaine had in the disappearance he'd come to investigate, or any others besides. Nor did he have any way of knowing whether he was dealing with a kidnapping, or a murder.

          ❝ It would be a big help if I could get hold of those records, yeah, ❞    he went on, applying a bit of honey to his words,     ❝ As I said, I do appreciate you workin’ with me, Mr. Fontaine. It’s not my intention to cause anybody any problems, especially not an upstanding guy such as yourself. ❞

Moira kissed his forehead and gently wiped his tears away with her thumbs  “There is no need to hide away what you feel around me,  Alfie,”  she whispers against his skin  “I know how hard you are trying,  and how hard things can get around here.”

“And Patrick is ... a sensitive soul,  but he will forgive you,  too.  He has probably already forgiven you,  once you are ready to go see him again.”

3-5 COMMON ITEMS   ( WOULD DROP EVERY TIME )

1.  A leather carver

A curved piece of metal with a very thin and sharp  ‘blade’  and a bustle attached to its handle.  It seems fairly well - kept,  and used often.  Perfect for carving into sturdy leather.

2.  Fairy Dust

A strange dust - like substance that seems to have powerfully addictive and psychedelic properties.  (When taken it garners long - time users strength and  ‘power’,  but first - time users will generally only suffer from mania and following bad side - effects.)

3.  Toxic Gas

Oh no !!  A strange gas - like substance starts seeping from the body a few seconds after her demise,  it seems like she had one more trick up her sleeve !!  You should take what you can and run.  (If you figure out a way to survive the poisoning and investigate the gass,  you will find out it had been a moderate amount of Zyklon B.)

1.  A mummified finger

Wait ... what ?!  You have no idea who’s this is and what this woman was carrying it around for,  but this definitely looks like it used to be a human finger.

2.  A faded photograph

An old photograph starring a happy looking couple posing with two nearly identical young girls.  The back dates the photograph to have been taken in 1925.

1. A medical report

[ TRIGGER WARNING  WORLD WAR II ]

An eerily detailed medical report of a young girl who seemed to have lived in a subcamp from Stutthof.  After she and her sister miraculously survived the gas - chamber,  they were forced apart and experimented on.  The test seemed to have stopped quite abruptly.  (The girl in question looks an awful lot like the woman you just killed.)

When Richard was small, a real little thing, skinny and short and jumping at every shadow, he used to think the devil looked like his da. Drunk and shouting, or else slack-jawed and passed out and then, eventually, gaunt and pale like a skeleton walking from the cancer. Then he grew up, took a steamer to the New World, and thought maybe the devil was an up-charging captain. Or any one of the would-be gangsters who’d take a mick’s money but not his business. Even Mr. Ryan, with his big old ideas buried under the Great Blue, sounded like the devil with his promises of No Gods, Only Men pitch. 

Richard saw the devil in lots of people, but if he’s being honest with himself, Frank Fontaine isn’t one of them. Not really, not yet, and especially not until Richard gets the size of him, himself. Men who describe themselves as the devil? Big talkers with big heads full of hot air. The real monsters don’t need to give warnings about their own monstrosity.

“No disrespect meant,” Richard says, hands raised a little. Fontaine might not be the devil but his temper isn’t anything Rich wants to mess with. He’s heard the rumors. Hell, he has eyes, he can see what’s in front of him. Devil or not, monster or not, Richard’s sense of self-preservation makes him more than willing to play the harmless messenger. Anyway, he’s not here- outside some shitty, dank freezer, staring over Fontaine’s shoulder at a bruised corpse with his face beat in and slumped like its waiting to get hung up with the rest of the meat - to do anything but make a deal. “M-my employer sent me with a gift.”

Richard has his own man behind him, tall and looming and as broad as the side of a house. He’s just for show; Fontaine’s men hell, Fontaine, could take him and Richard out easy as breathing. He hopes they don’t. In the guard’s hands is another man, with a cloth bag tight over his head. Richard nods and the guard shoves and the man falls to his side at Fontaine’s feet.

“Since you’re here,” Rich adds. What’s another body? He stares, hands back in the pockets of his nice but not too nice suit, waiting for Fontaine to take the who what why bait.

He’s been a huge comfort character for me ever since I was diagnosed with Schizoid Personality Disorder  (which I headcanon Andrew as having as well)  and really helped me come to terms with it,  so it’s always nice to hear people like the way I write him.

a fuckin amazing blog, honestly. i was lowkey nervous to follow at first ( bc i’m shyness wrapped in anxiety wrapped in an enigma, among other things ), but i’m really glad i did bc their writing is ???? aaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAA ???? i can’t words.

i’ve yet to interact with their frank, atlas, or jack yet ( or abby, for that matter, which is a shame bc they’re both frank’s secretaries imeanwhat ), but i’m hoping to in the future !

How would they describe their personality? Kei would describe herself as a mess. She is a bit confused as to who she is, despite her age. Due to her past experiences and trauma, she adopted a happy-go-lucky demeanor, quick to make a joke or flirt, no matter the situation. To others, she can come off as flippant, but she really isn’t. She uses this as a way to distance people from herself, while also getting them to underestimate her, which she can then use to her advantage. Additionally, she uses jokes, flirting, teasing, sarcasm, etc to push away her feelings and avoid them. 

Underneath this, however, she is calculated at her approach to things. She can be manipulative once she sees something she wants, and she will stop at nothing until she gets it. Most of the time, she will act out of her own self-interest, rarely doing something unless it benefits her in some way. It’s because of this trait she’s survived this long. Despite the calculated approach, she can also be a bit chaotic, particularly when there is no clear way ahead and she is in a self-destructive spiral. Additionally, Kei is caring and feels deeply. It is a trait she both loves and hates. Very few people see this side to her, because of the walls she puts up. Those that do see it are the people she would go to the ends of the earth for, even if it isn’t in her own self-interest. Most of the time, she will drink or do drugs to keep the feelings at bay, since she never really learned how to process them in a healthy way as a result of her upbringing. This typically brings about reckless behavior, which she later regrets (see the bit about being chaotic).
